This Galleria/mall has every store that you can think of. So many stores you cant get possibly get to every store in one day. They also have ice-skating a gigantic food court as well as a bunch of different services like massages nails haircuts. Parking was also very easy and did not take very long and surprisingly it was not as loud as I expected with as many people walking around during the holiday weekend.

Google
You can find the highest quality products and the best discounts at the Galleria, all while enjoying a completely safe environment. You can use the parking lot for hours without paying any fee, and also enjoy the kids’ play area and a variety of restaurants. In my opinion, the Galleria is the perfect place where you and your family can enjoy both a great shopping experience and the pleasant atmosphere of a shopping center.

One of the coolest features? The indoor ice skating rink — it adds such a unique vibe and is fun for both kids and adults. The mall also feels very safe and organized, with plenty of parking available (including valet if you need it). Whether you’re shopping, eating, or just exploring, The Galleria Houston never disappoints. Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike!

Google
A great mall with a wide variety of stores from designer clothing stores, as well as other stores like Bath and Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Macy’s etc… there’s also many different restaurants includes Rasing Canes, 2 Starbucks and many other places to eat. They also have an ice rink which was pretty cool. I would love to come back again in the future!

I enjoyed shopping here and finding some good deals. Some of the things can be a bit expensive. The food is delicious and the drinks are amazing. I enjoyed walking around for 4hrs and seeing all the stores and sales.

I usually travel only to Austin during my annual road trip, but this year, I also went to Houston, because we wanted to have a once in a lifetime experience of going to the Houston Galleria, because I like to explore the architecture of fancy malls. And as a matter of fact, if we think about the architecture of the malls that are owned by Simon Property, the Houston Galleria turned out to be the most fancy mall out of the 4 Simon malls I’ve been to!

Google
The Galleria Mall is a fantastic shopping and entertainment destination! It has everything you need in one place—Chickbellas for delicious bites, amazing tacos, and a variety of diamond and jewelry shops for those looking to add some sparkle. The ice skating grounds add a fun and unique experience, making it more than just a shopping trip. With countless stores to explore, you can find everything from fashion to electronics. Whether you're here for shopping, dining, or entertainment, the Galleria Mall has something for everyone!

Google
Very clean place, famous brands, clothes, bags, shoes, perfumes, colognes, evening dresses, cosmetics, etc. Prices are relatively high and shopping is not possible for everyone, the ground floor is a place for children to play that requires payment, a huge variety of food and sandwich shops.

Yelp
Huge mall, well decorated for the holidays when we visited in mid-November. Good mix of stores anchored by Saks, Neiman Marcus and Macys. Should be able to find just about anything you are looking for at The Galleria!

Yelp
Ah, The Galleria in Houston--the shopping behemoth where I can practically feel my sense of direction pack its bags and head for the hills! This place is MASSIVE. Opened in 1970, it's Texas' biggest mall and one of the largest in the country, and it shows. With four floors, 2 million square feet of retail space, and enough twists and turns to make a GPS weep, it's basically a shopping city. Let me just say, if you're looking for a store, The Galleria has it... somewhere. There's all the usual suspects--Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's, and high-end stores like Louis Vuitton and Gucci for those looking to splurge. But it's not all glitz and glam; there are also lesser-known gems tucked into random corners, like a sock store I stumbled upon that seems to appear out of nowhere every time I visit. (Who knew socks could be so elusive?) One of the highlights here is the ice skating rink smack in the middle of the mall. Yes, a full-sized ice rink! It's perfect for people-watching and a hilarious sight when you're lost on the third floor and peer down to see folks gracefully skating as if they didn't just walk past H&M five minutes ago. Here's my shopping strategy: pick a store, find it, and never look back. Maps don't help here. I tried following the map once and ended up in the food court three times! But hey, I never say no to a pretzel pit stop. All in all, The Galleria is an adventure. Just know you'll probably get lost, but at least it's a fun place to wander aimlessly!

Yelp
This mall is massive, spanning three stories and several outdoor businesses too. There is an underground parking structure. The parking was a pretty hectic experience because of how many visitors they have. We were able to find a spot fairly close to an entrance but it took about ten minutes. There are lots of unique stores including Gentle Monster, and plenty of luxury options too. The bottom floor had a full ice skating rink and many food vendors. This is a great mall for the entire family, with something/prices for everyone!

Yelp
On the way home, we stopped by to see the Christmas decorations at Galleria. As you can see the picture, it was well decorated and we enjoyed ourselves very much. It has always been an upscale mall with expensive brands. Even though we had no business to buy any of that, it was still fun to see some of them decorated elegantly for holidays. We walked around Neiman Marcus. It was beautiful.

Yelp
The Galleria has everything that your shopping experience would desire. The stores in this mall are innumerable. I mean you name it, The Galleria has it. We stopped by here just to find something to do and we were shocked. This mall had 3 levels, a hotel, restaurants, waterfalls, elevators, escalators, parking decks....and every store you can think of from the high end stores with lines outside them along with security, all the way down to your run of the mill toy store. There was an ice skating rink inside this mall. It was a huge one. There were many people skating. I have never been in a mall this size before. This was under SPO, so these were outlet stores. I imagine cheaper than the regular stores. They accepted military ID for discounts. Which is always awesome. If you decide to go, bring your walking shoes! There will be lots of that going on. Enjoy!

Yelp
Kind of disappointed. Yeah some great stores and lots of variety but the page says complimentary wheel chair rentals but when you show up at the office they tell you they don't. Oh well...guess this tourist will keep her money!

Yelp
I haven't been to the galleria in years. And back in the day it was "the" mall. High end. Nice to stroll through and window shop, for us middle income folks. But today it just felt like a higher end Walmart. Just total ghetto feel. Police walking around in fatigue. I don't think I'd leave my kid alone to use the restroom even. It's just sad. I'm glad I got a chance to experience the glory days. But those days just felt long gone after today. Won't be back even though I remember Christmas time as really nice here.

Yelp
Largest mall in Texas, known for their very high end retailers, and their large ice skating rink. On our visit to Houston, we planned to visit downtown so figured we should go near the high-end shopping district as a point of reference. When I do that, I usually type in 'Prada near me' to see (not that I would buy anything but they are usually located in malls that are good for sightseeing). I was surprised that the only location is in the Galleria, and later learned of its rank (#1) of malls in Texas. We were easily able to take a bus from downtown. Honestly, it doesn't look that big from the outside and the entrance is a bit underwhelming, hard to figure out where the many office buildings end and the shopping mall begins. Once you get to the center of the mall, you can see the impressive ice rink on the ground floor. And it was very well air conditioned to make the inside almost chilly, even on a sweltering Houston day. And as you continue to walk, you begin to realize the many stores the mall has. It definitely is a who's who of high end national retailers that we admire (Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Versace). Didn't get a chance to visit though, stopping in at Zara for our stay. I learned the saying 'everything's bigger in Texas' when I was in high school, and really believed it on my first visit there (the AYCE buffets were amazing, and just the glasses at restaurants for tap water at restaurants were triple the size of what I was used to). But my younger self would have been surprised that this mall wasn't that much bigger compared to others we are familiar: -- Houston Galleria - 2.4 million square feet. -- Mall of America, MN - 5.6 (not fair to compare, I know) -- South Coast, CA - 2.8 -- Woodfield Mall, IL - 2.2 -- Gurnee Mills, IL - 1.9 (thought it was a lot bigger) My wife mentioned that the mall did remind her of South Coast with its size and list of retailers, and then it made more sense to me. We visited South Coast every time we would vacation in Orange County, but I haven't been back since we moved to SoCal. We are just not that demographic.

Yelp
This mall was huge . Lots of stores and things to do. There is lots of parking. My only gripe is the traffic getting out of the mall. Security was present and abundant.

Yelp
TLDR: This mall has a Nobu, so yeah, it's a high end mall. It also has a Cheesecake Factory, so yeah, mixed messages. BTW, I love the Cheesecake Factory, so zero shade. I think they should have swapped places with the Grand Lux Cafe across the street though. I was staying at the Westin Galleria and it was almost necessary to go through this mall to get in an out of conference rooms and back into the hotel. This mall was pretty full as far as stores go, so it reminded me of the malls of yesteryear where there's not a Church or a dollar store in the mall. It had an odd layout and several people I knew got lost, but mostly because it was unfamiliar to everyone. But if you need high end stores like Neiman Marcus, Gucci and Lego, then add this mall to your itinerary.

Yelp
I've been going to the galleria for years and have seen the fluctuations in stores, crowds, etc. After my recent trip I do think it's improving with its offerings and seems a little less run down than it was starting to look like in previous years. I hope to continue to see the upward trend of improvements being made, and that they increase security because for years I avoided at all costs after all the crime but was forced to go for a online return lol

Yelp
If u love to shop then this a nice huge mall for you. This mall has a whole ice skating rink in the lower part of the mall near the food court. In the food court there is a Fat Tuesday where u get your frozen alcohol beverage different flavors. Lots of food places to eat in the mall. This malls looks so big like 3 malls in one. If you love all the name brands big stores this your mall.

Yelp
My second time coming to this mall visiting Houston, and I have no complaints. Every time I come they have high in stores and affordable stores that we all love! Good customer service with much selections for all age groups and styles. This mall is one of the biggest mall in the states. It's has about 3 levels with so many dining options. It's very packed since it was Christmas so many was Christmas shopping. I live this mall and the variety of the shops, dining options, and location. The garages go by color so make sure to take a pic of where you parked! It's many parking garages so pay attention you can get lost! However, I think this mall is very good to come to, to witness the massiveness and good stores! -Marshay D.

Yelp
Oh, THE GALLO. The Galleria. Oh yes, the LARGEST mall in Texas. Here you can find anything. From the finest luxury brands, to the sketchiest hood rats. The Galleria has it all. A landmark for the city of Houston, it really is a must-do. There are tons of stores, restaurants, and people at the Galleria. Think of the iconic 'Rodeo Drive' in LA, wrapped into a 4-story mall. Being such an iconic place, its funny that it really does attract people from all walks of life. You will find the swankiest socialites, young teens, families, and people dressed like they should be walking Bissonnet. The Galleria is Houston and it definitely represents the culture. From furniture, high-end to low-end clothes, electronics, jewelry, Sports-ware, junk-food, fancy food, oh boy, you name it and it's at the Galleria. There are many well-known brands, recognizable restaurants, and the iconic skating rink. During the holidays, there is a HUGE Christmas tree that gets put up as well. In the end, no place does it like the Galleria. Whether you are a local, or just visiting, it is a Houston staple.

Yelp
With 400+ stores it's a fantastic place to shop as well as dine. I recently stayed at one of the hotels connected to the galleria and found myself not having to venture out far for anything I needed. The stores were all nice, staff were helpful and the selection of stores were on par. Great places to dine as well. I ate every meal at the galleria

Yelp
idk about you but i have never been inside a mall with an ice skating rink in the smack middle of it xD lol as a californian, i personally thought it was saur random... but v cool at the same time. the galleria ranges from lots of affordable stores to high-end brands so it was a perfect spot for a tourist passing time and chilling. it's kept well; pristine clean floors and roofs and natural lighting was great. it's big so you will walk a bunchhh. and free parking lots yay
google avatar

Erica L.

Yelp
First off, this place is massive and hard to navigate if you're unfamiliar with the territory. This mall is a mall. Plenty of shopping options and plenty of places to eat. The mall is full of high end brands as well as your typical shops you would expect. Be prepared to do some walking to find everything you're looking for.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool mall. You could legit spend the entire day at the mall. There are a lot of high end stores if thats your thing, attractions, and food options. GLOWS: -Parking is quite horrific. Ive never seen valet at the mall, but it was worth it to avoid the hassle -There is a cool selfie museum located inside. I didn't have time to try it out, but it brings back the nostalgia of just hanging in the mall. -The Savage Fenty store is pretty cool. -The rotating sushi bar and ice skating rink are definitely mall highlights
google avatar

Adrienne M.

Yelp
Had to visit The Galleria for some shopping! My friend and I arrived on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. I don't know why I thought it would be packed. We walked around to a couple of stores; Forever 21 and Savage Fenty. They even have a selfie museum, ice skating rink, rotating sushi bar and more. Since we arrived via Uber, we didn't have to deal with parking but what I found interesting is that every entrance basically has valet parking ($12 at this time) and I guess self-parking lots if you don't want to pay for valet. We visited a second time on Saturday and it was a bit more crowded, of course it's the weekend. We were on the hunt for a bathroom after being nearby at the Waterwall. We found an entrance through the high end part of the mall and I immediately felt broke, haha! They have all the high end stores but no bathrooms nearby. We passed through the entire area and didn't find one bathroom. Even asking security, he pointed us to the closest one which was all the way on the opposite side of where we entered from. We followed signs for the restroom and still did not find it. The signage disappeared as we got "closer." I decided to go into a department store and ask an employee who pointed us to the nearest bathroom but her ultimatum was to visit her before leaving. Let's just say, we found an exit on the opposite side of where she was, haha! This mall didn't "WOW" me. Maybe because we have a similar mall in New Jersey. The bathroom situation really tripped me out because what if it was a pregnant lady, a child or someone with disabilities a bathroom needs to be accessible and for us to find one consisted of walking for 20+ minutes across the mall.
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
Just came for the Savage x Fenty but I was impressed with the food court and the fact that there is an ice rink on the first floor! There are various shops here ranging in different price ranges so you're sure to find something for you or a loved one. Kiosk sellers can be a little pushy, great variety of things sold though.
google avatar

Sy F.

Yelp
Okay so this mall is huge! It has a skating rink in the middle of it ( I was shocked) I did some shopping before heading to dinner and I'd say it's you standard mall like Tyson's so it was nothing out of the ordinary to me. Huge crowds so I'd advise going early to beat the rush! Extra star for the skating rink lol

Shelly R.

Yelp
The galleria is not how it used to be about 8 to 10 years ago. Now I'm scared to go in there and shop around and walk comfortable. There's a lot of teenagers and a bit older people that just hang out there. Specially on the weekends. I went on a Friday and it was packed with young adults like that just running around chasing each other. Talking loud and saying profanities. A few times I got bumped and they didn't even say excuse me. I was the one that had to say it. They just looked at me ugly even though I'm not the one running into them. It seemed like there's a lot of them that are just there looking for trouble. So I just went and got what I needed and got out of there as fast as I could. I know that there's nothing anybody can do about this but for that reason I'll just keep shopping on line.

William K.

Yelp
This mall is HUGE. It doesn't seem that way on the map, but it's very easy to underestimate just how big this mall actually is in person. There is a good selection of stores ranging from more affordable stores to very high end kinds, so there's something for everyone. There's an ice skating rink here which is really cool to see! The mall is kept quite well clean and there's even office buildings and a few hotels attached here. Parking garages are also available and parking is free. I just take one star off because I find this mall a bit confusing to navigate, especially since I don't live in the Houston area. This led to me feeling a little overwhelmed by the sheer size of this mall when lost at times. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this mall to anyone, whether local or tourist.
google avatar

Nikki V.

Yelp
A huge mall, where you'll probably be able to spend the whole day- there's so much to do like the ice rink, shop - high to mid to low end. Great restaurants and bring your walking shoes!
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
The Galleria is pretty overrated. Yep I said it. With more than 375 stores available, the Galleria is one of the best places to visit for people who care about fashion, especially high-end fashion like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. If you're not one of these people (me included), I'd say it's on the same level of quality as Memorial City Mall. There's a pretty diverse food court and plenty of restaurants. Unfortunately, La Madeleine was pretty mid. I had a Crepe La Madeleine, and it was watery. The chicken wasn't seasoned properly either, and I had to add salt to the whole dish. Combined with the high crime rates around the Galleria area and the traffic that's worse than what's normal for Houston, I'd say just go with Memorial City Mall.
google avatar

Toni S.

Yelp
If you love shopping in the mall, you will love this place. It took us a few minutes to find free parking (yellow entrance). Make sure to note where you park because you will get lost! The mall has everything you can think of from high end to regular stores. They even have an indoor ice skating rink like the mall we used to go to when I was a kid. Really enjoyed waking around and seeing everything.

Sue C.

Yelp
Very little seating available. Total vibe of the mall is icky, pales in comparison to Mall of America if you're looking for a huge mall experience
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
3 levels of shops and an ice rink in the middle of Houston. Not your parents mall! It's on the upscale side. Most of the major designers are Represented along with their pricing: Chanel, Burberry, Dior, Coach, Tiffany's, Armani, Jimmy Choo, Kate Spade, Louie Vitton, Ferragamo, and more. I'm sure you get the idea. There were still some of the mall staples but outnumbered by the high $$$ shops. The interesting thing for us was the number of police & security present in the in the mall and many individual stores. Access to higher end stores was controlled by employees/security. It's a great place to spend an afternoon - or longer walking the floors or just people watching.
google avatar

Raven B.

Yelp
I wanted some Phò today so we found this place, and decided to try it. Excellent service! The lady/host was very nice. We had the PHò, it tasted really delicious .
google avatar

Charlene E.

Yelp
We were staying at the Hyatt right across the street and a few steps away. This mall is huge and seemingly does not lack any stores. Lots of walking involved and it was extremely crowded on both Saturday and Sunday which gave me a bit of anxiety but nonetheless it was nice.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
This place has always been a quality shopping symbol of Houston and whatever other city has a Galleria Mall. I enjoy coming here and it's great for clothes, restaurants, snacks, massages and just walking around. It was a bit better of a mall about ten years ago, but all malls have changed some. Some of my favorite places here are Aeropostale, Express and NorthFace for clothing. Amorino, Pinkberry and Laderach for sweet snacks. On a note, I do miss Field Of Dreams, which closed down recently. Some good restaurants in and within the mall complex include Raising Cane's, Shake Shack, TCF, Del Frisco's, The Oceannaire and Musaafer.
google avatar

Chaveli G.

Yelp
We went almost at closing time for most stores and the mall and it's was PACKED. It's a great mall and I would definitely come back to it but the amount of people that crowd this place makes it almost impossible to get around. The food court is the worst area to head to it's always crowded no chairs and the lines for the food stores are EXTREMELY LONG. We were only able to go into two-three stores since most of them were so packed it wasn't enjoyable to shop in. The parking lot and getting here was a headache as well and getting out was also a headache. Besides these things the mall was amazing and I hope to come back to enjoy it a little longer
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
I had never been to the Galleria, but since I had a conference here and was staying at the Westin, I got to know it quite well over three days. It's a strange mix of stores from H&M to Gucci. It was an experience but I'm not sure that I would make this a destination again (unless I'm staying at one of the Westins here). Even on a Monday at 4 it was packed. I would also research my dining options here well before picking a spot. I felt totally turned away from one restaurant when my business casual was not "smart" enough and also felt fine hanging on a patio in jeans later at a spot next door to same fancy-smanchy place. (No names mentioned.) Also, be aware that some of the more exclusive stores on the bottom floor are by appointment only. (There was a large security and police presence there the week I stayed.) The Gallaria can be checked off my list. I'm not sure how Houstonites deal with the traffic and the parking here.
google avatar

Andy D.

Yelp
High Quality Luxury Mall, containing tons of brand name stores! The Galleria is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. There is literally every store you can think of, and you will come in potentially overwhelmed due to the massive amount of stores and merchandise that are available (haha). The mall is physically large and lengthy in stature, and you may have to do a ton of walking. But there are so many services and brand names to pick from. The mall is tentatively three stories, with the food court being on the first floor. Parking can be complex, but there are parking garages as well as the standard parking lot to park from. Definitely an amazing mall!
google avatar

JOHN R.

Yelp
Just a couple clicks away from being like the West End mall. Ambiance is failing. Plenty of shoe stores. Great maintenance crew just not maintaining the decor as needed. Not the help. It is management taking clientele for granted. See photos.
google avatar

Luis P.

Yelp
This mall is the best mall me and my family have ever been too when we visited during Christmas week. Very packed but this mall is way better than what we have back home in Memphis. 5 stars 100000%
google avatar

Jazmin M.

Yelp
Lots of high end stores as well as everyday stores. You will definitely find more than what you came for. Price: depends on store and item picking Staff: always nice Parking: lots

Christopher T.

Yelp
Get up early and beat the traffic!!!!!! This was just a get up and get out day to the mall, of checking out a few stores and a restaurant as well, but most importantly, way ahead of the crowds. So, if this is something you would like to give a try, I would strongly recommend you aim to be there around 10am or sooner. I felt as if I had the mall to myself. Along the way I took a few photos and simply enjoyed the looking and slight shoppings. Definitely, have some ideas of gifts I would like to purchase as well. So, until the next one, Bye-Bye!!!
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
I would deem this as Mall of America if it isn't announced yet as that! This Gallery pretty much has all, if not most, of the designer brand stores that one wants when doing the one stop shop literally! My Chanel and other high end labels are here plus the many retailers! It's pretty much an all day outing spent at this Gallery!
google avatar

Newman H.

Yelp
Gigantic mall with an assortment of luxury and everyday brands. Also has a huge variety of restaurants for all tastes and budgets.

Tenaya S.

Yelp
Everything is bigger in Texas and yes, that includes the mall. With roughly 400 stores and 3 levels, The Galleria is massive. Pros: Valet parking, good mix of high-end and anchor stores, good restaurants. Cons: Traffic and congestion, large crowds on the weekends, and reports of increased crime. It was great to walk around and take in the experience but definitely not worth going 45-50 minutes out of the way to shop here. I'll stay in my bubble and shop at The Woodlands Mall and Market Street.
google avatar

Ludin J.

Yelp
As a native Californian who has South Coast Plaza down the road, The Galleria left much to be desired. There is a small strip of luxury stores on the second level of the mall near Neiman Marcus. My husband and I came on a Sunday at 4:45pm and Chanel was already closing... We weren't really interested in any of the other luxury stores as we can get to them in California. Now, every Houston native we spoke to, raved about this mall. My husband and I really thought it was going to be similar to SCP and were expecting a bougee mall. We were wrong. The tile, the decor, parking, and even the AC left much to be desired. It was so hot in here; I know Houston is hot but dang, we felt like we couldn't escape it in here even though it wasn't super busy. Now, basically every store you can think of is in here, which is cool. I can see how that part is appealing to many especially if you cannot find them anywhere else but overall its a no from me. The only thing my husband and I bought was some cakes from Jeannie's cakes, omg, amazing!!

Yelp
Someone told me to go to the "mall of America" while in Houston. She was talking about the Galleria. I even heard there was Galleria I, Galleria II, and Galleria III. First impression while here: parking on a rainy Saturday afternoon was nuts. The blue garage somehow turned into the yellow garage, but all the arrows pointed in one direction and you would keep looping around and get back to the same entrance. I have no idea where other people park but it was chaos. Then the mall itself is like 3 stories. The third level only had TFTI that was interesting. It's a place with a bunch of photo ops for selfies. There are a ton of luxury brand stores here. Look up the Simon brand malls and you'll get the store directory. The food court was underwhelming with choices like Sbarro, CFA, Cinnabon, and a small revolving sushi joint. The skating rink is on the first floor. Overall the mall is clean, definitely huge, and has something for everyone!

Anita S.

Yelp
Everything's BIG in Texas , and this is BIG From the best of Luxury to Iceskating ring Spend the afternoon

Yelp
The Galleria was the place to be when I was younger. Some days, it can be a bit much with the teenagers. I try to come on days that are not as busy. There are a some stores where I love to come here because I know I will be able to decide from a wide selection of things.

Yelp
This mall has everything! From high end to reasonable. Whatever you need you can find it. Wear your walking shoes because it's huge!

One of the nicest malls I've ever been to. They have a lot of upscale shops and restaurants in addition to the more moderately priced places. There are 3 levels and there are elevators or escalators connecting each floor. They even have a ice rink on the bottom floor. It's attached to the Westin hotel which makes it super convenient.

Yelp
This mall is massive! The parking and traffic situation can be a little rough especially on the weekends but it's definitely a wonderful place to shop and eat. There is even an ice skating rink! I saw many luxurious stores that I don't get to see in my hometown.
