Where To Watch Sports Outside In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"When your sports bar is called The Game, you better have a good set-up for sports viewing. And that’s exactly what this place has - a massive outdoor seating area in Westchester with a tons of flat-screens, a full bar, and all kinds of bar food like wings, sandwiches, and mozzarella sticks." - brett keating

Food is okay but its worth it because the place is super clean, well decorated, acording to the type of place, they have enough servers, we have never been on a waiting line to get a table or at the bar, and i know it's always super busy since I think it's fair to say we go at least once every other week, and they have good variety of different drinks and draft beers as well... the perfect place to go on a date as they have live music on the terrace

Google
Only real restaurant on this area, hit or miss with the food and service. Lots of TVs and good beer so great from that perspective. Had hamburgers, corned Beef, Buffalo mac and cheese in previous visits, again hit or miss, sometimes good sometimes meh. Had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich this time, was good except the coleslaw liquid pooled on the plate while I was eating my fries and made the bun super soggy. Had to get a replacement bottom bun. Chicken was good but a little dry, the aforementioned coleslaw was delicious. Wife had Green Chili Mac and Cheese and was happy with it. Pretzel bites, which are fried, are good, cheese sauce tasted good but was lumpy.

If you are looking for a sports bar in LC look no further! Great food and great prices. If you go a Corked Bat is a must (Pecan Crusted Green Chilies, can’t get more New Mexican than that)! The burgers and drinks are delicious too!

Google
Food sucked, drinks were at least cold and service was good. If you like burnt asada fries with 4 strips of asada . This is your spot, at 10:00 the staff calls last call and starts partying themselves and kick everyone out. First and last time I'll waste my time and money here.

Google
I stopped by real quick like; just to grab something to eat. I tried the buffalo chicken sandwich with the Hot sauce. It is HOT LoL just the way I like it however you might want to stick with the Mild sauce. They were quick with my order and it was delicious, generous portions and a fun atmosphere.

Amanda Veyna

Google
We went for wings and burgers. They have the best smoked wings and they were delicious. Burgers weren't very good, and the service wasn't great. She wasn't very friendly and seemed like we were a bother if we asked for something extra.

John Bob

Google
Best French Dip sandwich for hundreds of miles. Fries are great and the burgers and homemade chips are awesome too. It's a sports bar type atmosphere so pretty chill.

Jojo Lopez

Google
Google said they were open until midnight, but were closed when I arrived at 11:00 PM. What a waste of time to come here. I'm disappointed. If they close early, please update your closing time so that people don't waste their time coming here.

Yelp
Great place to catch up and watch sports. The wings and menu are solid for sports bar. Really like the wings could eat those for days. Bar is stocked and the bus boys are the fastest in the south and have the empty plates and cups off the table as soon as you're done. Live music from time to time, absolutely mush give it a try when in Cruces.

Yelp
You come here for the cork bat! Cork bat is unique to The Game and is why we continue to come here. Green chili strips fried with a pecan crumble crust- yes please! Chicken and Red Chili quesadillas are also a tasty choice! The Game lives up to its name by having sports on everywhere you look around. Servers are dressed in black and white striped jerseys. It's a good time. Service was a little slower than normal, but that's to expect with such big place that is well liked.

Yelp
I enjoyed my visit here. Whenever I am in town, I must get the corked bat since that is not an option where I live. Still as good as always, with pecan-crusted green chile strips. Our server was attentive and friendly, and our food was brought out quickly. We also shared the pretzel bites and the chicken and red chile quesadilla as well. We didn't really like the beer cheese that came with the bites and it didn't come with either of the mustards as listed on the menu. The quesadilla was good. I prefer either no bacon or the bacon not to be sweet to better taste and savor the red chile.

Yelp
We never been to this place before and decided to try it out. It's close to our house. We were there at 5:30pm today. It was busy but service was quick. I tried the steak quesadilla and really liked it. I got one drink, The Paleta. It was wayyyyy too sweet for my liking. He got a few long islands and really enjoyed them. He also got the chips and dip. I think the cheese was velveeta. He also tried the burger. I tried a bite for science and was happy I didn't order one. It was nice to get out of the house though.

Yelp
I dropped in at The Game II since their Pistol Pete's Philly was recommended by an acquaintance. I'm always on the lookout for a good Philly Cheese Steak. I was immediately greeted by a hostess and led to a booth with a menu. A waitress arrived within a minute or two. She provided good service overall. I ordered the Pistol Pete's Philly with fries. I don't like their fries and really wanted to try their onion rings but they were about $3.50 more. The food was ready in about thirteen minutes. Here's how it all went down: the Philly roll was only about 7 or 8 inches. It was heated on the grill. It was somewhat soft but it had a nice flavor. Inside the sirloin steak was sliced in small pieces and grilled to the point of being a bit dry. But, this was good quality beef. It could, however, have used more seasoning. The real negative here was that everything was cooked in heavy oil or grease. The beef, the mushrooms, the onion slivers, and the green New Mexico chile were all oily. This dropped the sandwich down the ratings to a "B-" or perhaps even a "C." In need of better seasoning and quite oily this sandwich can rank no higher than mediocre. (I believe so many of these Philly Cheese Steaks around town have meat that is charred and dry because they tend to cook them in a lot of grease!) This Philly was not bad but certainly not very good. The fries today were not as greasy or limp as I've had them in the past but they were still somewhat oily. No crispness at all and not much flavor. These were "C-" fries. I did not finish them. For the overall dining rating today (with the ambiance ok, the service good, and the food between "C-" and "B-") give the Game II a rating of Three and a Quarter Stars....meaning sort of run of the mill for dining. Nothing more. It would not be a stop I would make if I were looking for a quality meal.

Jodie P.

Yelp
Burger was over salted, dry and, somehow managed to be charcoaled on both sides. No attempt to melt the cheese. Mayo was 1/4 teaspoon just in the middle. Bun was not toasted which was the only reason it could be swallowed without water. Coctail had no alcohol as was just mixer. Never going back.

Javier C.

Yelp
Very disappointed First was no lemon in lemon water(had to ask for it afterwards) Then asked for our corked bats and quesadillas first before our nachos and carne asada fries...nope didn't happen! Servers explanation? Sorry the order got pushed back. Ok.. strike 1 and 2 already. Now the for the worst part..brown to dark(burnt) fries on the carne asada fries and maybe 10 chips had cheese on the nachos. Half the quesadilla was burnt as well.Server asked us, how's everything? I say ehh alright. I'm expecting a "oh no did the food not come out good anything I can do, how can we fix it? Nope, just looked at us and left. We've never had complaints about either Game but this time...f##k! I know Marcy doesn't appreciate her business being run this way! We never leave food and this time we left it‍

Natalia V.

Yelp
Considering it being a sports grill the boneless wings were the worst. They taste like frozen wings and are so soggy. The buffalo has absolutely no sauce. Would not come again. This was 9$

Patty H.

Yelp
Sad when she doesn't provide any handicapped provisions for wheel chairs to go upstairs. I thought was a must. But oh well the food ain't that good anyway.

Yelp
After much thought and analysis, I can honestly say that this is the worst meal I've had at a restaurant. Might be a cool place to drink and watch a game--they have a lot of small TVs everywhere. The food is terrible. Came here on a Friday (12/29/23) night after driving from Austin, HUNGRY. We ordered the lemon pepper fries, they took about 20 minutes to come out and they are just frozen fries that have been re heated with lawry's lemon pepper seasoning--soggy, sad, mushy. Ordered the vegan patty melt, that took another 20-25 minutes to come out and HELL NO. The bread was stale, beyond patty seemed boiled, the whole sandwich was falling apart before I touched it. We also got the left fielder (burger). NOPE. Bread was stale, ice cold, and hard. Sad sad sad burger. DONT GET THESE ITEMS; actually, run away from this place and go to Santorini restaurant down the street or something. Our waitress was really nice. The best part of the meal was the Heinz ketchup. I'm mad. I don't like to put down restaurants but the food was disrespectful.

Yelp
We got there at 8:15ish on a Wednesday night and they were already getting ready to close the kitchen.. I don't blame them, since it was dead and they can't be paying labor like that, but maybe don't catch late dinner on a weeknight like us. We were still able to order from the kitchen and bar, and I'm so glad we were! The food was really good. I got the patty melt and my husband got the brisket nachos. Highly recommend both! I also got a green tea shot and a watermelon jolly rancher shot, big fan. Our server Ethan did a great job, we felt bad that it wasn't a good money night for the servers because they were all so nice. My husband has been there when they were busier and he said the environment was great! Overall great place, we'll be back on a better night.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Food is always great. Staff was responsive, friendly, and capable. Great to see a resturant fully staff and working like a well oiled machine

Kenneth P.

Yelp
After being seated and ignored and watching a party come in and get waited on we left. 30 minutes while watching the wait staff stand around and chat. I'll never step foot in your establishment again. First and last time for me! Doesn't even deserve a one star rating.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool spot to watch football unless the raiders fans are there. They tend to scream and yell the entire time. It's not a great vibe. They used to have really awesome drink specials, but it changed randomly. Food is very mediocre bar food. Definitely don't eat those wings. I do like some of the burgers. The staff is always nice and helpful.

Yelp
Unimpressed ... there's a reason I've driven past this place 100 times prior. Lousy front entrance Hostess presence (you're not really welcome here, and you interrupted our gossip) Lousy start with servers also ... uninterested Plenty of staff who looked tired and disinterested at the end of (prob) a busy Sunday 5:30pm. Feels like a "culture issue" when you have 70% of the seats open and none of the staff feels like they care if you're here. Maybe start with a new General manager to stimulate a cultural shift - not a welcoming environment at all. My server worked diligently to find me something not processed ... something they didn't pull from the freezer or Sysco bulk box to feed me (allergic to garlic powder, garlic salt). Finally they agreed to make me a fresh burger and not season it ... but somebody decided to toss deep fried Sysco processed chilies on top and charge me $15.75 for the below average burger. Yuck. Moscow mule was ok ... second one tasted horrible ... (how hard is it?) so I replaced it with a bottle of Negro Modelo ... but the bartender made sure I waited 20 mins for it. Beer finally arrived, not as a bottle, it arrived as a draft beer... "Yeah, we don't carry bottled beer." $50 cash with 20% tip A waste of my time, energy and a $50 bill A really irritating experience overall - Low standards - crummy food - below average environment - bad energy If you have "low food standards" and just want to pound cheap beer and manufactured food ... all with a weak staff attitude ... you'll do just fine here. That's just what you'll get.

Yelp
Good food but the owner of both locations isn't concerned about maintaining the store. Seats are torn and loose.

Richard M.

Yelp
Fun place with good pub food and great bartenders. Dancing on weekends outside on patio

Yelp
We enjoyed a really good meal. . We enjoyed the corked bat appetizer! It's an awesome choice! The patty melt was delish. The fish and chips were yummy and crisp. The French dip and the Pistol Pete were fabulous. Even the green chili and bacon Mac n cheese was good. All in all, it was a great family dinner. I look forward to visiting again!
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
Arrived with both great criosity and great expectations; left very disappointed and resolved never to return. We had a coupon for a free appetizer; we chose the recommended fried green chiles. Not bad considering the price. We also ordered the fish and chips along with the small burger. Both were horrible and both came with dark fries literally soaked in grease. The burger was small (ok) but grossly overdone; the fish filets were greasy and over- breaded - right out of a Sam's warehouse. We would have been etter off going to McDonald's for a quiter setting and better food at much lower prices. I've met the owner of these restaurants and she is a delightful, resourceful, respectful, and responsible owner and community leader. I wish her the best and I hope she can correct the quality issues at the Northridge location.

Anthony M.

Yelp
Great place for a casual meal or to watch a sports event. The Game II has more of a "family vibe" than the OG, but the familiarity of staff and menu are the same. The "beer keg and tap" water feature out back is kind of tacky, but I hardly think Marci intended this to be a classy joint! 3 Stars because it is fine, but nothing special. No complaints, and do recommend.
google avatar

Van D.

Yelp
Coming through town and popped in to watch Thursday night football. I am glad this business is still operating during COVID. We tried the recommendations from the waitress. The wings were good and the green chile wings were tasty. The sauce wasn't spicy. My husband loved the spicy burger and said it was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken wrap with pecan crusted chicken and sweet potatoes fries. It was good and very filling. Most importantly the beer was cold! They have Covid protocols in check and were cleaning throughout and every time people left. All in all not a bad stop if you're in Las Cruces.

Robert H.

Yelp
Nice bar but very disappointed with the quality of the beer. Call me crazy but any successful bar must have cold beer as Priority One! Waitresses solution was to offer us a side of ice or switch to more expensive bottled beer. Ok but I don't expect to ever return. Place is full right now. Please show your customers some respect and appreciation.
google avatar

Kurt D.

Yelp
Good place to use for an alibi. Lotsa beer on tap and drinks. Better than average food. They have a big menu. Indoor and patio seating. Lots of room for large groups. I have to wonder if any of their food is actually made from scratch though. If you're into a place you can go for different sporting events on different tv's this is it. Overall, it has a fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Krisiann R.

Yelp
Where shall I start? Definitely not with the host out front. We walked in and stared at each other until she finally asks, "can I help you"? I reply "yes, you can seat us". She grabs menus and takes us outside to a covered patio, puts the menus on a table and walks away. We're thinking, ugh this place is gonna suck. We stuck it out though and our server, Abby, was super helpful, polite, and attentive. She recommended everything we ordered and we were not disappointed. We started off with Pineapple Vanilla Margaritas, Pecan Crusted Green Chile and Cheesy Mac n Cheese w/ green Chile and Chicken. We split the Lineback Burger which also contained pecan crusted green Chile. We tried a "Giblet" which is their version of a mojito. Super good!! Will return, but will avoid the host up front.

Yelp
Wow! I never thought a cocktail could be the size of my salt shaker! Seriously??? $7.00??? Last time here. Ridiculous.

Kathy A.

Yelp
Great food and amazing ambiance! Staff is friendly and takes good care of you! Love the cork bat salad!

Yelp
We arrived and were promptly seated at 9pm. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Plenty of time to eat. Right from the start we were treated in a way that made us feel unwelcome. An inconvenience. Josh, our server, didn't want us there and he did his best to make the experience miserable. Leaving before we had finished our orders. Throwing straws at us. Asking us to help clear the table. I thanked him and his response was "yup." Fast forward to 10pm we had finished eating and had paid. The manager came to the table while I was signing the check and said "I'm going to have to ask you to finish up and leave." We were out the door by 1006pm. I've never in my life been treated this way. We were all confused as to why. We said and did nothing wrong or inappropriate. Just plain rude behavior on their part. We will never return and I suggest everyone find a place to eat where they will be respected. Josh cost himself a tip, and I always tip 20% or more. Both Josh and his manager should be fired immediately. I will be calling the store owner tomorrow to see what he or she has to say about this.

Dominic S.

Yelp
Sterile. You've managed to arrange people in an intruding manner The only thing you got going is location. Figure it out

Mike L.

Yelp
Disgusting! Only gave a star because it wouldn't let me post otherwise. Ordered a drink and it had what looked like a pubic hair in it, ok things happen but the replacement drink had a dead bug in it. You would think the bartender would make sure that the second drink was good to go. Apparently that was too much to ask for. Oh but don't worry they offered a voucher for a free appetizer which would be great if we would ever consider coming back here. Never again which is sad, because it's so close to home.
google avatar

Lia A.

Yelp
Come on, Game. This is just sad at this point. My husband and I came here to have a casual dinner. We didn't want to drive all the way into town, so the game II was our only choice. But here we are again with another disappointing meal. We ordered the unforgettable nachos. What made them unforgettable was the glob of shredded cheese and various toppings that we only found on TOP of the borderline stale chips. The rest of the chips were DRY. Poor excuse for nachos. The boneless wings were okay. My husband found his veggie melt contained waaaay too much balsamic to the point it was saturating the bread. My corked bat wrap was fine but the corked bat chiles seemed soggy and not crispy. The overall experience was meh. The waitresses were nice.
google avatar

Jassy P.

Yelp
Through out the year coming here, I give them props. At first I did not like coming here, I thought there wasn't a variety of foods here. I was wrong. So far, I think the hatch cristo is delicious. A savage way a sandwich should be made. One of the places in this town that serves fish and chips, and they serve it with Hatch green chile tater sauce. Amazing. Plenty of drinks to choose from the bar. They also have many ways to make a Bloody Mary which is one of my favorite alcoholic drinks. Outside patio with shade from the hot sun and even sometimes have a band playing. Coming here with friends and family, were always enjoying ourselves. On the other hand, it's a sports bar too, so if you're like me who does not have cable, enjoy a beer and head out to the GAME and watch football/baseball/basketball etc.
google avatar

Carlos C.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick drink the other day. They market themselves open until 9pm, but stop seating at 8:15pm. I was turned away when I arrived at 8:20. Misleading advertising.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
I have only gone once and was surprised to see a live band. The seating was crowded but a good time. The beer and hard seltzer was good. We ordered a big app platter and a couple of burgers. Everything was delicious.
google avatar

Alicia W.

Yelp
My friend and I both got wings.... And both of our orders where raw...The special drinks are over priced and extremely small.

James W.

Yelp
A more appropriate name for this place would be "The Nickle and Dime"! I generally expect the food to be mediocre at a sports bar, and this place definitely lived up to that reputation. The big surprise was when the check came! We soon realized that the waitress had up-sold us on a sweet-potato fries substitute and kettle chips substitute for the regular fries on our order without telling us! We got stuck with an additional $3.00 charge - each!! Both items were not worth the price charged! The final insult came when paying the bill... an additional $1.00 "Non-Cash Adjustment" for paying with a credit card!!! What self-respecting restaurant does that? At the end of the evening, an expected $30 tab for 2 beers and 2 sandwiches immediately shot up to close to $40. First time and last time for me at the. "Nickel and Dime!"
google avatar

Deidre G.

Yelp
Sports bar tons of TVs!! Place for locals for sure, but don't be intimidated because it was very welcoming. Customer service was consistent and quick! Great beer specials especially on Fridays $2.50 pints on most beers nothing more than $4. I loved their BLT but the Homerun burger looked so good!! My fries were only warm. Huge patio but no TVs. Awesome live band! Would come again especially for football Sundays!!
google avatar

Hector L.

Yelp
It's a real shame that the owner doesn't care about the quality of their food. I think they should Concentrate on finger foods better something easy to prepare and be very difficult keep Quality up. In simple terms their menu sucks the only thing good would be to go there have a drink and catch a game on TV with friends
google avatar

Justin A.

Yelp
This was my first time ever eating at this place. From the outside it is a really cool looking spot. Tons of windows, two stories, and about 1000 tv's wherever they could hang them! We were greeted by a friendly hostess who was excited to get us seated but got in trouble because there were about 4 groups ahead of us waiting for their seats. This put a damper on the place because we had to wait about 20 min and there were no seats in the bar. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with some green chili and potato fries. The sandwich was better than I expected and the sweet potato fries were the bomb! I also ordered some beer which I wish was a little bit colder but overall a good experience. Just FYI if you do not like loud places this is not for you!

Kiel H.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service and a great sports atmosphere. It one of our go to places to eat!

April C.

Yelp
We go here frequently because of the location and variety. I love the cauliflower wings! The drinks are always good. Outside patio is fun too when it's nice out. My parents want to come here every time they come see us for drinks and appetizers!
google avatar

Rose W.

Yelp
Had a 45 min wait for a table outside but it was worth it! Cool band (The Trio) playing on the patio. Shared the cork bats with my friends (sooooooo good). I was stuffed so i ordered another appetizer....the smoked wings OMG they were SOOO GOOD. The service was great and a good time was had by all. Will definitely come back again for the smoked wings.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
The Game has good food and good service. But they are sooooo Cheapskate about add-ons and sides. You can get avacado/guacamole added to a sandwich for anywhere from $2-3.50. I have had it added on twice. It was such a minuscule amount that the only way I could tell there was anything on the bread was that it was barely colored green. And the game charges for Any Change to anything. It is like a set of strict rules one must follow in order to get what one would like to eat!!! The price of side orders and add-ons is very high compared to any other place. Too many restrictions.

Matthew C.

Yelp
Never in my life have I ever been treated so rudely by staff. If I could rate this zero stars I would. We are from half way across the country, hungry and wanted food and drinks an hour til the restaurant was closed. Our server was put off from the get go that we were even there. He treated us like trash. At 6 minutes past close, the manager comes to our table and tells us to finish up. We were about to walk out the door anyway. I started a Yelp account just to write this. Don't support this business and go to an establishment that respects patrons.

Larry F.

Yelp
Have just been to The Game II for the second time this weekend. It has been busy for them. Given the number of customers I expected a wait for dinks and food. Not the case. They have plenty of staff and they are very attentive. I much recommend the green chili wings. Just my two cents.

Rene C.

Yelp
This is not the place to come starting with the typical bar food menu burgers, fries, nachos nothing to write home about and let's not forget the over price shot glass drinks that continue to decrease in size. The patio stinks like stale beer, wait staff stand around staring at customers with the when are you leaving face and service. What a waste!!!!
google avatar

Karen E.

Yelp
Awesome cheeseburger, it was hot & juicy and served promptly. Live band tonight so there were people enjoying life, so good to see!

Sim B.

Yelp
The food wasn't very good. We ordered ribs and wings. The fries were cold and the lemonade tasted strange, like dirty water. If you're going to watch a game, the TV screens weren't that big.
google avatar

Lupe L.

Yelp
I'll give a generous review because of the great service and atmosphere, but the food is pretty subpar. I would only recommend a burger even though it's pretty basic.
google avatar

Jennifer Terrazas T.

Yelp
My husband and I picked up burgers yesterday from The Game II and they were absolutely delicious & on time. Quality ingredients and excellent flavor!
