Wow, a bad review from someone who has never lived here?...
I actually live in this building, so I am actually qualified to give a valid opinion of this building, its staff, and what it's like to live here compared to other places I've lived in over 35 years of renting and home ownership locally and elsewhere around the country.
The staff in this building are exemplary; Curtis, Dena, and Dan are warm, friendly, responsive, and helpful in every way. Any brief encounter that left someone feeling any other way proves only the lack of ongoing actual experiences with the staff, as compared to those of us who live here and do actually experience the staff on an ongoing basis.
This is a great place to live, it is convenient to many of the things that make New Orleans what it is; the street car line runs out front, the river, the Dome, the FQ, the CBD, the museums, and much of the area's best dining are an easy walk from here.
The building might also be the safest in town. We are surrounded by 12 inches of concrete on 5 sides and 135mph impact-resistant glass on the other. It's completely quiet in our bedroom all night, every night. Our cars are indoors and 4 floors off the ground. I don't even put the top up on my convertible because it is safely indoors, it doesn't even get sunlight or dust.
The clubroom is nice, the pool area is nice. There's a steam room and a sauna. The pool has a jet you can turn on so you can swim against a current without making laps. Our appliances had never been used when we moved in.
This is a great place to live, take it from an actual resident of the building.
