"The picnic table-style seating at Mongoose Versus Cobra is perfect for playing board games. Classic selections include Candyland, Scrabble, Scattergories, Clue, and Trivial Pursuit. Bring a group of friends for game night and split the giant pretzel with tangy mustard and beer cheese." - Baylea Jones

So many beers to choose from. Great place to make interesting beer discoveries. The food is also delicious. The pretzels are phenomenal, specially the all dressed ones (not in the menu but still available on demand). Fridays there's usually a live show.

Such a cute spot! It’s really one of those places you just have to go experience. They have food (we did not try) and drinks- we had mimosas and one of their specialty drinks. I’m glad we stopped and hopefully next time we can try the food.

Rotating beer menu (on the wall across from the bar), interesting cocktails, and fast, friendly service make this a place we’ll definitely revisit! Loved the house gin and tonic, especially that they give you them separately so you can decide on your proportions (plus I enjoyed drinking the extra straight because it was so good). Another favorite was their earl grey infused brandy with banana cocktail; very interested in trying the other mixes that include that brandy! This is one of the few bars that has parking right next to it for those who hate searching for a spot! Inside the bar has more space than you’d think from looking at the outside, there’s additional seating in an upstairs area.

So good that we had to stop in TWICE during a three day visit to Houston! Beer selection is great and pretty extensive. All of the bartenders were very knowledgeable about the menu and just cocktails in general. Very cool atmosphere and some pretty tasty bar food too.

Went there once. The bartender was very helpful, advising me on their (huge) selection of beers and making me taste 2 beers so that I could chose. There was very good jazz music playing. Also, there is a small terrace outside. I'll probably come back next time I'm in Houston.

This is one of the more relaxed and chill atmospheres in the burgiong Houston craft beer/mixed drink scene. The staff is top knotch and knowledgeable. Honestly it's one of the few places I'll let the bartender "surprise me" with a beer or drink because they are always on point. One of the few places that carry beer from Jolly Pumpkin brewing company beers. To die for!

I went here for brunch. There’s free parking next to the building but not a ton. This place is a bar and there’s a food truck outside. The food is extremely good however, you have to stand in line to order then wait for the meal; then pick it up and use plastic cutlery. I don’t have a problem with this but wanted to share that it’s not a traditional brunch experience. For drinks, there good. We started w the mimosos flights and got a tower. The tower is expensive but can be shared with many friends. We didn’t finish it. The DJ is a vibe. I do recommend this place and the food truck.
