Ballard Korean Restaurant Wero Is Serving Lunch | Eater Seattle

"I noted that Yoo took over The Gerald, a Ballard Avenue gastropub, in 2018; when COVID arrived he began serving Korean dishes there as a way to cope and ultimately used that shift to transform The Gerald into the comfort-focused restaurant now known as Wero." - Harry Cheadle

King County Health Officer’s Mask Recommendation Conflicts With New CDC Guidance | Eater Seattle

"At the Gerald, owner Wes Yoo said several of his staff members haven’t been fully vaccinated yet, so he wants to maintain protections by requiring guests to wear masks inside; he prefers a universal rule for everyone to avoid the logistical complications of confirming vaccination status, saying, “I’d rather err on the cautious side.”" - Gabe Guarente

Seattle Ice Cream Collaboration Launches to Help Racial Justice Nonprofits | Eater Seattle

"Under a newly approved Ballard Alliance permit converting two blocks of Ballard Ave to one-way traffic, The Gerald can extend its seating further out onto the street between 20th Ave and 22nd Ave NW to better accommodate outdoor dining, and the permit also allows for canopies or tents as the weather becomes more inclement." - Gabe Guarente

This is a fun and funky hotel in the Centre of town. Parking is free and the rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms are well equipped. Rooms are a touch noisy, not from your neighbours but from the road, we were up on the 7th floor and still heard the traffic noise but it was ok. ||Staffing seems a bit light.||For some reason, we put out the sign to have our room serviced and because the hanger is a bit light it blew or flipped and looked like we had the do-no-disturb side up so we had no clean or dry towels. We asked reception and the person who brough up the towels was the receptionist.||Later, on going out, I noticed again that reception was unattended and about 6 people were waiting to check in. ||We had a drink at the Old Man bar which is weather dependent and was closed for two of the three days we were there - it was very pleasant. All in all, this was a very good stay, Recommended.

had the best experience at The Gerald Apartment Hotel. From the moment I walked in, Amelia at reception was absolutely amazing – funny, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. I was having a rough day until she greeted me, and she completely turned it around. The hotel itself was spotless and beautifully clean, with a real attention to detail. Booking direct was a bonus too, as it came with a free mini-bar in the room, which was such a nice touch. Highly recommend this place – the service and comfort here are second to none.

Milli, Trent and the rest of The Gerald crew are life savers. I appreciate all the assistance and help they provided for an event I held in the Fitzgerald room. I was also a guest in the hotel. The rooms were clean and modern. All the staff I dealt with were friendly. It's in a great location amongst shops, restaurants and not far from the beach. It's only a 15 minute drive from the airport. 100%, I would stay here again the next time I'm in Geraldton. 5 stars *****

A modern small hotel near the ocean . Some rooms have a view of the busy port. Room was compact but plenty of space for a couple of nights stay. Clean and well kept. Car park available. A well patronised bar downstairs in the lobby.

My wife and I stayed at The Gerald during our visit to Geraldton and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we checked in, we felt warmly welcomed — thanks to the bubbly and efficient front desk staff member (possibly a manager) who set a great tone for our stay. Our Luxury King Apartment was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches like complimentary Kit Kats, slippers, and a free mini bar for booking directly. We had been a little concerned about noise from the rooftop bar, but the room was so well insulated that it wasn’t an issue at all. A quiet, comfortable, and enjoyable stay — we’ll definitely return.

What a great place to stay. Very clean and tidy, right in centre of town. Lovely bar overlooking the ocean. Had everything you needed in the room. Staying again in November.

Room very appointed. Great bed and fabulous pillows. Spotlessly clean and crisp. Great location, 2 restaurants on site. Short walk to waterfront for sunset and shops.

Really nicely renovated feels fresh and clean. We loved the location just a short walk to the foreshore playground and to cafes for breakfast. Lots of parking. Staff are friendly and rooms are set up really good for families. Will definitely stay again!
