The Giving Tree Project - Christmas Tree Lot

Run, don’t walk, to the BEST tree lot in DC! It’s very clear that these are not your typical Home Depot trees. The quality is unmatched. I love that some of the proceeds go to charity, you can have a hot drink while looking for your tree, a delicious meal afterwards, and you do it all with a great atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!!

My wife and I found these wonderful group of people while searching for a live tree for our first Christmas together and in our new home. They were the loveliest bunch of people. Five stars across the board. They even cut a small part of the trunk as a keepsake. Will be returning next year.

The only place I get my Christmas tree! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me pick the perfect tree for my home.

We had no plans to decorate for Christmas or put up trees this year because we would be traveling during the holidays. All of that changed when we discovered this fantastic project and the wonderful people behind it. All I can say is that we are overjoyed with our purchase of this small but adorable tree. If you ask for Ben Sherman, you'll have a fantastic experience. Merry Christmas y’all :)

The Giving Tree is an amazing spot! I started volunteering here based off their mission of supporting local non profits trying to make a difference in the DC area! Great people with great hearts looking to do great things. If you need a tree, wreath, and cocktail.. this is the place to get it!

The absolute best place to get a tree. Not only is everyone incredibly knowledgeable about what trees best fit individual needs, but they're all so clearly service orientated and incredibly kind and cheerful (and really in the holiday spirit!) I wouldn't dream of getting my trees from anywhere else. Ps: excuse our lack of xmas tree decorating skills, we'll do better next year! Lol

Yassss, get into her!!! I affectionately refer to her as my “Living Flower Garden”. This is the first year following a broken engagement. Naturally, a reoccurring theme for me throughout 2022 was the importance of Self validation, and Self love!! So, I decided to give myself my own flowers. Why wait for someone else to do it? 🎁 When I went to The Giving Tree Project to find the tree of my dreams, the staff was beyond helpful. They are so fun. The type of folks you can have a beer with and talk about nothing in particular, yet everything under the Sun lol We dished all things trees and real Jamaican curry chicken… it’s an inside joke… hey girl hey! I digress. I can be quite the chatty cat. If you’re ever in the mood to flip the proverbial bird by way of your first tree as a newly single, hit these folks up. Yeah, they do the traditional Christmas scene, but they also know how to party 🤙🏾😌😂

By far the best Christmas tree-buying experience I’ve had! Ahmad and Ben were so lovely, kind, and helpful from picking out a tree, to wrapping it carefully in trash bags and blankets so that I could Uber with it home, and providing a stand at cost, not to mention tree food. It’s a wonderful operation with a big selection of trees and good prices — and for a good cause!
