"This fine dining spot in Falmouth has been serving dishes like rich lobster strudel with mascarpone and white wine since 2009. Other favorites include seafood and mushroom risotto and duck breast that’s brined for hours before it gets a nice sear. While the wait staff still wear ties and pressed white shirts, this place isn’t super formal, and certainly is your best bet in Falmouth for a nicer sit-down dinner. The building was built in 1926 and the dining room is generally pretty stunning, with a sage green beadboard, floor-to-ceiling windows, and candles everywhere you look. Definitely make a reservation." - jennifer mattson

An absolutely wonderful experience. A vibe true to definition. They open at 5p sharp. We were welcomed and seated promptly. Our waiter was at our table in the perfect amount of time to bring water and take our drink order. The drinks fun and bright kicked off our dining experience with excitement. Moments later, some beautiful, warm bread with spreadable and well presented butter adorned our table. We ordered the Lobster Pastry appetizer. It was decadent and delicious, not to mention incredibly beautiful. We would have licked the plate if nobody was looking… ;-) Between servings, bus staff quickly and discretely cleared and replaced dirty plates and silver. We felt pampered, as if we were the most important customers in the world. Dinner came and it was everything we had hoped for. The duck, cooked medium rare, with skin, and a cherry sauce, was delicious. The fresh green beans and Yukon gold potatoes, the perfect complements. The striped bass, also, flaky, tender, and wonderful. Perched on top of arugula and a light lemony tomato dressing made the dish really pop. The recommended red and white wines paired perfectly. Then came dessert. This brownie thing from another universe. Leaning into a pool of melted chocolate, topped with whipped cream and mint, a luxurious confection that left quite the impression and is in a sugar coma. We left, mesmerized by our experience and wanting to go back. Hands down one of the best most delicious, elegant, and white glove dining experiences we have had out (and there are a lot). Highly recommended. Don’t hesitate.

Hubby and I went away to the cape for our 10 year anniversary and picked this restaurant as a special night out. We arrived a little early but they seated us right away in the front glass window which was so cool. It was the old glass so when you looked out it was wavy, loved it. We shared a special salad with apples and cave aged cheddar which was delicious! Hubby ordered the sous vous Fillet and I ordered the lobster and shrimp risotto. We both loved our meals. They brought us out house made mint ice cream and to celebrate our anniversary at no charge and hubby said it was incredible! We really enjoyed our dinner here!

Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! Warm, kind people running a restaurant in a light, cosy space. But it’s the food that really sets it apart. So many good choices on the menu, and they were all really wonderful. And remarkably reasonable for such a good place.

My family and I have dined at Glass Onion numerous times over the years. Not only is this one of the best restaurants in Cape Cod, hands down, it is also one of the best restaurants I’ve ever dined at in my life. The milieu is calm, lovely, and clean. The furnishings are beautiful and thoughtful and it’s certainly a, “fine dining vibe.” The owners are the sweetest and kindest people. They are extremely welcoming, accommodating and always ensure every guest has an incredible experience. I have never eaten anything at Glass Onion that I didn’t love. The salad is so fresh and always made with local ingredients, soups are so flavorful and all of their dishes are carefully curated and executed. We love their cocktail and wine lists too - excellent selections. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!!

We went to dine here for dinner with a reservation. It was a nice quiet evening, not packed but still busy. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in, and taken to our table. The menu for the food is small, but the wine menu is much bigger. We ordered some cocktails, and 2 appetizers to share. The cocktails all had strong colors, especially the Rub-a-dub-dub, almost unhealthy color (LOL) but with an adorable little ducky on it! The server told us that we are welcome to take the ducky with us if we wanted to keep it. The flavors of the cocktails are a-ok, not the best I've had. The server told us all the specials of the night, and we ordered one of the appetizer special, which was a duck leg with noodles. It was so delicious! The meat was tender and packed with flavor, and the noodles had Asian noodle flavor which we all loved. The second appetizer was a lobster strudel, which sounded interesting. It had super crunchy phyllo exterior and moist lobster meat in the inside. Slightly heavy on the salt but otherwise, tasted really nice. For the main, we ordered Seafood Risotto, Seared Scallops, and Wester Ross Salmon. They were presented elegantly on the plate, good quality and nice flavors. Then we decided to get a couple of desserts to share. We ordered one of the special of the night, whiskey chocolate cake with whipped cream and chocolate mousse. It was rich and chocolate-y, delicious! The other dessert was Creme Brulee, a classic. It was a nice size for us to share, creamy and very tasty! The server was really nice, polite, friendly, and we were taken care of throughout the evening. A nice little restaurant with upscale atmosphere and dishes.

Google
A reliable go to if you feel like splurging or celebrating a special occasion. Like a well maintained dame, gleaming and well polished, the place does not show its age. As far as taste and presentation the food never disappoints. The service the night we went was efficient if a little combative. If there is one reprimand to be made it would be to train some of the staff on how to respond if one has doubts after tasting a bottle of wine. If it feels corked and one expresses doubts about it, not sure saying the restaurant has been serving that particular wine for nine years was the right response. It ended up the wine just needed to breathe but the waiter’s reply changed the mood. We always enjoy it and always feel it was worth the money which for Falmouth is on the high end.

On our 2nd night in Falmouth, we decided to treat ourselves after a full day on the Vineyard. The Glass Onion has been a local staple based on the reviews, so we decided to give this place a try. The interior is intimate and perfect for special occasions and family dinners. Warm tone colors and classic decor the place is cozy. The service was superb, friendly, and attentive, and thankfully, they were able to provide us with recommendations. For drinks we shared a bottle of savignon blanc and their crab cakes. For food they've got a great selection of seafood and seasonal dishes.

Google
Scallops were undercooked but partially burnt at the same time. Lobster Strudel was amazing. Fillet was overpriced, cooked to medium well (ordered medium rare), and just not great, definitely not worth the price charged. Overall, it is not value for money, there are much better options in town.

Alice W.

Yelp
You won't find better food anywhere else! I tried the duck, and let me tell you, the flavors blew my mind. The meat was cooked to perfection, leaving me at a loss for words. My husband and I had an amazing evening, soaking in every moment thanks to the fantastic staff at The Glass Onion. They were professional, friendly, and made the experience even better. Seriously, I can't recommend this place enough. It's worth every single penny!

Yelp
excellent cocktails and wine choices, beyond the tried but tired. Food was excellent, a sous-vide steak, very juicy, but they missed the point on the maillard reaction. Soft exterior without any additional bite, almost right out of the sous-vide bag. Still tasty but could have been uniquely amazing. Prices are abour 50% higher than those advertised on resy. Maybe its because we came the day after Memorial Day. All in all a great place with friendly staf

Yelp
Always delicious. Great service, excellent food. The Glass Onion is the best restaurant in Falmouth. Free and convenient parking, nice ambiance. You must order the lobster strudel appetizer- it is awesome.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
This is a AWESOME place. Friends took me there for my birthday. Food was delicious. Ambiance was cozy and friendly. Service was outstanding. I admired a T shirt advertising the restaurant at the end of the night-- and guess what-- they gave it to me as a birthday present. Thanks to everyone there that night for a wonderful dinner.

David B.

Yelp
Everything at The Glass Onion is terrific. We celebrated a birthday there recently and our meal, service, beverages, and ambiance were all great. The Glass Onion is our favorite restaurant in Falmouth - hands down. The lobster strudel is always amazing and the deserts are great too. Highly recommend !

Jill B.

Yelp
The Glass Onion restaurant is amazing. Food, service, and ambiance is the BEST around the Cape. I recommend it to all our visitors and they have never let me down. There is something for everyone to satisfy your palette. You won't be disappointed.

Francine B.

Yelp
Last evening, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary as we often do at TGO. We've had many an enjoyable experience at this restaurant, but this occasion was surprisingly disappointing. Our waiter was very polite, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly without being over-powering and the atmosphere is so charming, but that's where it ended. We ordered crab cakes which were dry, butternut bisque which was bland, seared scallops that were extremely undercooked and seafood risotto which dry, boiled and flavorless shrimp. What happened to my favorite romantic restaurant in Falmouth. Sadly, we won't be going back any time soon.

Mark S.

Yelp
A very comfy and cozy atmosphere and great food to match! I highly recommend the Glass Onion.

Yelp
Our first visit to the Glass Onion. We opted for the outdoor patio seating and were one of only two tables. The patio is behind the building in the parking lot. The inside is much more atmospheric and romantic so I would recommend indoors over the patio, much different atmosphere. The service started out attentive with a quick round of drinks and warm toasted bread to start. We were told the specials. We both went with the bleu cheese salad special. There were three people coming to the table, the server, the food runner and the one clearing the table. I ordered the seafood mushroom risotto, which had 3 large and tasty white shrimp and one tasty chunk of lobster, however, there was very little mushroom so once the mushroom was gone it was like eating plain white sticky rice. My husband opted for the filet, which was fine, but not grilled as expected. We were going to consider dessert, but the waiter must have got busy inside and took so long to come back that we decided to pass. I will probably give it another go as the food was tasty, but would definitely sit indoors next time.

Yelp
Came here with my friends for a nice meal for our final night in town! The menu is small which honestly makes it so much easier making a decision on what to eat. I tried the spinach salad as a starter which was served with beets & goat cheese, was super yummy!! Then for entree I had the seafood risotto which had some shrimp and lobster as the "seafood". I don't feel like calling it a seafood risotto is accurate. I think there needs to be atleast 3 kinds of seafood to qualify it as such. But regardless it tasted good. My friend tried the special which was some type of braised meat served with rice & kimchi. The rice was undercooked initially but they were quick to give us a new serving of rice & it was better after that. Also the bread that's included was pretty good. Overall not a bad experience. They do have a good wine selection & some beers & cocktails as well.

Yelp
Nice place, over priced!, Left hungry! Very limited menu. Duck Breast, House Made Lobster Strudel

Chris M.

Yelp
So to set the scene I read all the reviews (as I typically do if possible) and saw that a lot of the one star reviews were about how the food is very salty and buttery. So we go and it's so cute. We get seated outside because COVID natch. So glad it didn't rain or anything because they would not have been able to do anything about it if it did. The lobster app is amazing. So rich but if you split with your family/date/friends it'll be a good yummy feeling in your stomach. The salad was a little overdressed but had interesting flavors. The cold cucumber soup was refreshing but not like blow your mind good. I got the haddock and couscous. It was fantastic. I ate every bite. My sister-in-law got the halibut and loved it. My husband got the veggie dish. In the car we recapped the meal and both my SIL abs husband thought it was good but thought their individual meals were salty. I died laughing. Soooo maybe if you're not into salt you can make it a point to ask the waiter to ask the chef to ease up on the sodium. Because otherwise it was a great time and meal.

Mark D.

Yelp
You had me at hello. Our waitress recited the evening's specials WITH PRICES!!!!! Then, the evening rolled on with great food and service. One of the items enjoyed was striped bass which was on of the specials. Our group also had seafood risotto, halibut and scallops - all were perfectly prepared and seasoned. I really like the smallish menu. Besides the food, the restaurant itself is beautiful. Bit of a hike from Plymouth, but well worth the drive.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Dined here two weeks ago for our Anniversary. The food and ambience were great. All of our dishes were delicious and arrived hot from the kitchen. The salmon was especially enjoyable. Andrew was our server and was very attentive, he even put a candle in the dessert which was a nice touch. Would highly recommend!

Colleen B.

Yelp
While the server was on point the food was just ok. Salmon was over cooked with bones. The brussel sprouts were almost raw , not roasted . The cocktails and wine were great. While we were walking in another couple was walking out and said they were disappointed with their meal (duck and filet ). Did this restaurant lose the kitchen staff? Not at all the same experience as previous meals .

Ruth N.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful until the bill was paid. We were asked to leave as they needed the table with no one waiting, empty tables all around and no cars in the lot. I guess our 400.00 didn't matter. My last impression is what I remember.

Reid F.

Yelp
Nice place with decent food, service, and wine, but definitely not worth the high prices.

Alanna B.

Yelp
This is one of our - new to us - favorite restaurants in Falmouth and Cape Cod! We haven't visited the area in quite sometime - the restaurant scene is hopping! Recommend business casual attire as you will feel the most comfortable. A great place for celebrating an anniversary, date, a get together with friends, birthdays, etc. Parking is available behind the restaurant that shares a parking lot with other local businesses. We highly recommend the Lobster Strudel, Steak, and Scallops for sure. Their Wine List is excellent and glassware is perfect, especially for Wine Lovers. We'll be making reservations when we visit Falmouth again!

Neil R.

Yelp
The worst night ever. Service was excellent, cuisine was ok (halibut over cooked; venison was scraps), but the noise level made the entire experience horrendous! There were 2 large parties -- all members of each were clearly over-served -- and they all were literally screaming! Had we not ordered, we would have left. Management was in a bind as how do you tell patrons to be quiet...? We will never return, and will advise our many local friends to avoid like the plague. Truly an awful evening.

Peter B.

Yelp
I heard the glass onion was the best restaurant in Falmouth..NOT! The staff is nice but we found it loud (we could not hear the waiter describe the specials) and the entrees mediocre. The seafood risotto was bland and the scallops were way over salted. Even my wife who likes salt would not eat it. I had to send the plate back. I have never done that before. Note I read past reviews with the same complaint ...scallops are too salty..I guess the chef does not listen. Check out other restaurants in Falmouth for a much better meal.

Mark Y.

Yelp
Service was excellent- food was very tasty and cooked well- style/décor pleasant- I think I could return

John M.

Yelp
The food is always excellent and I have rated this restaurant as a 5 in the past. Our waiter or waitress is always great but this time that changed The gentleman that we had acted like we were bothering him every time we asked for something and he took away from the experience. When you have exceptional food the waiter or waitress should also be exceptional

Leslie-Ann M.

Yelp
Husbands bday dinner tonight started good. Table a little delayed. But host was pleasant. Server nice but non-attentive. Halibut was grossly over cooked. No one checked On our dinners. Had to go find a server to let them know. No apologies. Replaced dinner 20 min later when other diner was already done eating. No acknowledgement or correction on the bill. The check came so I left 10% tip as a result. Not sure what fell apart there.

Alan J.

Yelp
Finally had the opportunity to eat here I had big expectations. The venue was lovely, understated and very comfortable. Andrew our waiter was outstanding. Professional and very knowledgeable about food and wine. The food was tasty and and presented well We were very surprised and perplexed why the menu advised there is an additional charge for a second bread basket Overall we were pleased with our experience

Nicole E.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING in ever facet. This is by far one of the best experiences I've ever encountered at a restaurant, and I've been to many all over the world. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the husband and wife pair who own this lovely establishment. They were lovely, warm, polite, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we stepped into the glass onion. We were brought to our table and immediately given menus for review as well as ice water. The restaurant is SO beautiful and quaint - really a special, intimate, and relaxing milieu. We found it quite splendid. For wine, we decided to order a bottle of their Syrah/Zinfandel blend offering - GhostRunner. The wine was so reasonably priced and not marked up almost at all. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For appetizers, we ordered the cauliflower bisque with truffle, lobster strudel, chilled barnstable oysters, green goddess salad, and the special edition salad for that evening - arugula salad with citrus and a delicious house dressing. We loved all of the appetizers, especially the soup and lobster strudel. For entrees, we ordered the special addition of the evening - monkfish served with fennel and couscous, Butter Poached Lobster and Wild White Shrimp, and the 7X Ranch Coulotte Steak with Sweet Potato Hash, Haricot Vert, Chimichurri Aioli And Shallot Cabernet Demi Glace. They were all prepared perfectly, precisely seasoned, presented beautifully and tasted DELICIOUS. For dessert, we tried their Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée and the house-made maple pecan ice cream. Both were delectable. The service throughout the evening was impeccable, the cutlery, linen, and glassware was all top tier and high end in style, and there wasn't a moment throughout the evening where we weren't having an incredible experience. The icing on top for this place is the pricing - for as PHENOMENAL a place this is and how high end and amazing the food is, their pricing is absurdly reasonable, which only makes you love this place and it's ownership even more. You have to go here if you are in Cape Cod.

David N.

Yelp
Great, intimate ambiance with very attentive wait staff. We all had different wines from their extensive list. I had the butternut squash soup and my wife and daughter shared the braised pork app. Both we're very good. Mostly good food. We all shared each other's entrees. My pecan crusted sword fish was not the freshest and a bit salty to my taste. My wife's seafood risotto was excellent, as was my daughter's filet mignon (but the sauce was too salty for my taste). None of the menu items were mark with GF for gluten free, and I thought I was pretty good figuring it out, but I'm sure that I injested a bit of wheat? I find the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant is offering gluten free bread. How difficult is it to buy frozen "Udi's" hamburger buns or "Against the Grain" dinner rolls at Stop & Shop and microwave when ordered? For desert we shared the chocolate meuse and a variety of sorbets, all of which were great.

Yelp
"Magical Mystery Tour"- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8WMGBuNaus The Glass Onion is a culinary Magical Mystery Tour. When the Glass Onion first opened, it was originally intended to be Beatles-themed fine dining. It's a small, intimate dining space that has expanded to outdoor and takeout dining. It's concealed in the Queen's Buyway, a strip mall, along a main road. They have seasonal meals artfully presented, with top notch service. In the autumn and winter, they offer butternut squash bisque that warms the heart. They have a creative lobster strudel. Glass Onion's sweet potato gnocchi is topped with cranberries, while their scallops come with pickled red onion and kale. Their filet mignon is Argentinian style with chimichurri. All have a great depth of flavor. They make their own ice creams and sorbets. One of their more creative desserts is banana bread grilled cheese, in which the cheese is a sweet ricotta. A next level grilled cheese, a richly perfect closing for a great meal! The Glass Onion is one of the Cape's best fine dining destinations.

MP B.

Yelp
The cassoulet and halibut were excellent, but they could use more staff and better port.

Kasey K.

Yelp
The food here is always out of this world. The lobster strudel is one of my favorite dishes.

Donald L.

Yelp
Impeccable!!! Excellent food and service. Great environment. Should have gone sooner

Martin W.

Yelp
Great food and service nice place for a pleasant evening and meal. I would recommend this restaurant

Yelp
We thought we would try a new restaurant in Falmouth and going by Yelp reviews we made a reservation at the glass onion. the only reason I give them 2 stars is because their menu looked very enticing and their drinks were very tasty and their bread was also very nice.we never got a meal We had reservations at 7:30 p.m., we arrived a bit early and were seated by a very Gracious host This was on a Wednesday night a few days after Labor Day and the restaurant was not full. Seated across from us was a table with 2 couples who were annoyingly loud and disruptive but we could forgive that as they appear to have finished their meals and only had dessert left to go. So we knew we would not have to keep repeating ourselves over their loud laughter and carryings on for too much longer. Our waitress came over and brought us water and bread and took our drink order. We did get our drinks in pretty good time but then sat and waited for 30 minutes before I got up and approached the host and asked if we could possibly get a waitress that may have time to wait on us. He apologize profusely and said we would make sure we were taken care of. at that point the waitress came to the table and my dinner mate made a comment that we had been waiting a long time for her to come back. She had passed us several times looked in our direction but never asked if we wanted to order appetizers or our meal. When we informed them we would be leaving and would pay for our drinks she started arguing with us saying she thought we were just enjoying our drinks and she had been doing this job for a long time and we shouldn't be upset. My dinner mate said you did not even check with us. At that point the host said that they would take care of our drinks in we left to go down the street to another restaurant. I know we need to be kind because of covid and that places have been closed but arguing with us is really not acceptable. Please check my review for the quarter deck as Their service has surpassed that of the glass onion.

Brian K.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner at 8pm. Yelp said no reservations, however when we arrived we were told we had to have had reservations to be seated at 8pm, so we made them for 9pm. I wish yelp had been updated as it stated no reservations. Yelp also reported this place was quiet. Not!! This restaurant is loud!! We had to almost scream at each other and the waitress did as well as she was shouting out the specials. Food was excellent! Had the chilled cucumber dill soup which was superb! Fresh, refreshing and great flavor profile. The melon salad was also refreshing. The duck breast was excellent! Med rare was perfect. Melted in my mouth and the skin was perfectly crisped. I would get that again in a heartbeat. In all a nice place, great service and well executed dishes.

Justin P.

Yelp
Holy Jesus. I'll just say it.... this is the best place on the Cape. If you disagree with me you are a tasteless peasant. Amazing food all around. Lobster Strudel WILD didn't even know something like this existed. What genius was like hey lets take a lobster and shove it in a puff pastry? Move out of the way Steve Jobs we have a true innovator here. Duck was cooked perfectly and amazing with the Fennel Puree. Lastly the Chocolate Mousse. So decedent that I had to take half of it home and save it for later. EAT HERE

Delia S.

Yelp
This place was not worth the money nor the wait. For how expensive it was, the food was bland and not fresh. The arugala salad was the best part of dinner. We ordered the scallops (which were tasty the first few bites, but realized a few were sandy), the seafood risotto (the seafood was great but most definitely not mixed into the risotto, the risotto was honestly so bland with minimal taste because the salt wasn't evenly mixed in...), the halibut special (dry) and the swordfish (also dry with zero seasoning in the cous cous). Sorry, I never write bad reviews but the wait time to get in and the wait time for food to be served...I almost fell asleep at the dinner table.

Valerie P.

Yelp
Great little store just to the left as you leave the ferry landing. Lots of great gifts.

Annie D.

Yelp
There are some good points which I'll start with. Beautiful building with big windows overlooking the center turn. Service was great albeit a little stuffy. Wine list is great and also for wine by the glass options. Trust the reviews that complain about salt!! I am a salt lover and usually add it to food.. but I don't understand how every thing we ordered tasted like it was doused in salt! The ginger carrot soup would have been delicious if not loaded with salt. My husband had the tuna special, it was fresh and melted in your mouth but crusted with large sea salt. My halibut was fresh but so so salty and in salty risotto. Even the bread was crusted with more big sea salt. I don't think their chefs eat their own food. Too expensive to go back!

Liesl S.

Yelp
Food was good. i have celiac and I asked waitress what could be made gluten free... she did not check with the chef and just guessed without taking my allergy seriously, had a very bad gluten reaction. would expect more from such a high esteemed restaurant.... will not be going back

Ashley T.

Yelp
Good experience but the food is over priced and there isn't nearly enough of it to get you full and it isn't delicious enough to rave about or go back twice, but the drinks were good and the service was on point. It has a romantic atmosphere. Don't go if you are starving. And don't go if you are looking for a memorable experience. Just a basic over priced place that has a romantic atmosphere.

Glenn R.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. We started with a couple of festive Rub-a-dub-dub drinks, and the delightful Cucumber G&T. Then we had the Summer Squash Fennel Soup, Gazpacho, Shrimp w Avocado Ice Cream, & The Lobster Strudel, all incredible. For entrees we had the Scallops, Filet Mignon, Seafood Risotto, Swordfish, and the Halibut Special, all fantastic, perfectly accompanied by the Ultimate Provence Rose. And we finished with the Blueberry Shortcake, and Coffee, Mint Chip, and Maple Pecan Ice Creams, which are all absolutely the best ice cream I've ever had anywhere. Really, an absolutely perfect Tuesday evening.

Yanin N.

Yelp
This is a quality restaurant. When we arrived at 7:45PM there was an hour long wait. We were nervous we wouldn't be able to get a table but the kind host said "Yelp hours are for September - May" and they could definitely take us. Woo! We got the lobster bisque (on special) lobster strudel, duck and steak entrees. Everything was cooked to perfection! BEWARE - The black cherry reduction is quite sweet. Too sweet for my taste. But that's a personal thing and I assume most people would enjoy it. Long story short, come, enjoy, you'll be glad you did.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! I found this restaurant on Yelp and I'm so glad I came here. First off I loved the interior, very spacious, clean, and pretty. The service and staff were also great. As for the food I had the Filet Mignon and it was perfect! It was cooked how I liked it and it was juicy and tender. My parents had the duck and poached lobster dishes and they were very satisfied with their food. I also ordered the guava creme brûlée for dessert and it was pretty good, a taddddd too sweet though. Definitely recommend it if you're around the area.

Yelp
Hands down the finest restaurant on the upper cape. It has everything you could ever want from a restaurant - great food, outstanding staff and a warm, inviting room. The Glass Onion is our go to for all special celebrations. We have NEVER been disappointed by the food or the staff.

Yelp
Been coming to Falmouth w/family since a boy 30y ago. This is one of the best places we've ever eaten at. Classy, understated elegance, interesting, unique menu, excellent service, fantastic food, wine, and, dessert. Great choice for something a little more refined, but not stuffy or overpriced.

Yelp
Found this restaurant simply because of how close it was to the hotel we were staying at, and boy am I glad for that! the food was excellent from start to finish. started with the oysters and beet salad; probably the best beet salad I've ever had. Then had the duck breast entree which was delicious! then ended the meal with a cappuccino and chocolate mousse. would definitely eat here again if I'm ever in the area!

Yelp
The Glass Onion always offers a great meal with wonderful service. We enjoyed dining alfresco and the service was as fantastic as if we were seated inside. The menu always has many tempting dishes to select from.

Yelp
I've been twice now with a year gap and it gets better every time. Last Saturday I went there for a special date night (we are both 20 somethings and tight on cash) and weren't disappointed. To the review: The Good: Our waiter was the man. He was knowledgeable and treated us no differently than other tables that would clearly tip more. I wish I asked for his name but if you have a guy on the older side with short hair/possibly bald (sorry my dude!) you are in luck. Food was bomb as well, I had a coffee rubbed pork dish and it was amazing. The waiter gave great guidance and recommendations for it, my partner had the scallops. The Room to Improve: Communication, Main Street was closed and we ended up 10 min late to our reservation, they took us but it would have been nice if they used Open Table to send a reminder. All in all, this was the best date night I could ask for, I would have recommended it before, but now I'd say it's my best upscale spot in Falmouth.

Yelp
Loved this place- especially the indoor ambience- however, in this age of Covid and pandemic, we ate outdoors. Second time eating here in 2 weeks. Food was mediocre; steak and halibut were lukewarm at best, especially considering $$. Waiter was nice.
