Great place to have some food and a drink. I like to go in for lunch for a burger and wings. The staff are always welcoming and they are open everyday. I also like their specials like one day they had tri-tip sandwiches with bri and arugula with their homemade chips. One day they had cottage pie that hit the spot on a rainy day. The portion was a good size and the flavor was spot on.

Totally awesome atmosphere great food at an even better price! The bartender was AMAZING!

Went here for my friend’s birthday and we sat outside to enjoy our drinks. Brought about total 5 people and one of the friends had hand made a glass cup for the guy with the birthday. Bartender comes out and tells us to tip more than 2 cents if we are going to “bring our own cups” (we obviously tipped about 15% for our 1-2 drinks each). We apologize anyway since we’re confused. Bartender proceeds to turn off all lights on us and tells us to never come back and we’re left in confusion as we never were rude and left a tip for our couple drinks we ordered. Truly made me wish we actually did tip 2 cents.

GREAT BEARS GAME SPOT. Amazing atmosphere. Great family vibe . I will be there for every BEARS game.

I like that it's dog friendly and enjoy the Karaoke on Fridays. They really need some new bartenders with better customer service and personality. If I order a drink or food I feel as though I'm bothering them. I've been told it's because they don't know me. That's shocking as a patron of the bar I should be greeted with a welcoming smile and good service, otherwise I won't want to frequent. It's pretty clicky there with the regulars.

The food and atmosphere is great! It’s such a great place to watch any games and get really good pub food!!! I have only one compliant the bathrooms need to be deep cleaned especially the hallway to the men’s restroom.

This is a great place to eat and enjoy some drinks. No kids. Service is wonderful. The food is great portioned and they make their own potato chips! They also make a nacho plate of French fries! Their burgers are awesome and the Philly is too. On Sundays the Bears game is on and it's a great atmosphere!!

I came in from out of town, had the Philly cheesesteak and onion rings with a Hazy Beer “ Gummy Bear” Food was fire there’s no arguing that. Great atmosphere, patrons and staff were playing dice together. This bar has a great vibe to it. I will return for food when in the area! Thanks again!

Alright, I admit, I have been driving past this place for decades. I always thought "Huh, cool name. I should stop sometime" but never did for some reason. Last night my wife and I were driving past after an event in Rocklin and we decided to finally give it a shot. Why have we not been here before?! An incredibly cozy and fun neighborhood bar. Great food; my cheesesteak was amazing and the homemade chips were on point. The prices are totally fair. The ambience was fun with a lot of regulars in good spirits. The music was there but not so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Apparently one of the owners is from Chicago, so there is plenty of Cubs and Bears paraphernalia along with SF gear (the other owner is NorCal) and it definitely has the Midwest "neighborhood bar" vibe. I half expected to see a bottle of Mallort behind the bar. Anyway, you should definitely stop driving by The Glass Turtle and stop in!!

Be sure to help customers when they are not sitting at the bar. It seems they don't care too much unless they are selling you a drink(s)!

Stopped in with my wife for a cocktail on a Saturday night. The bar was packed full of dudes and the music was so loud that nobody could have a conversation. The bartenders were aging hipsters who are having a electronic disco party at maximum volume. I couldn't even have a conversation with my wife. The bar was at about 20% capacity and I can see why. I've been in there before during the day when there were some young ladies bartending and it was a much different atmosphere. They should let the cringy aging hipsters work day shift it something.

I went in there and ordered a chicken Caesar salad very simple order. What I got was iceberg lettuce chicken has very bland wasn't cut very well no Parmesan cheese was giving a plastic fork and no knife very disappointed will not go there again first time

The Philly cheesesteak was so salty I could not take a second bite. I ordered 2 one with fries and one with salad. The fries were burnt and who puts salad with a hot item. My lettuce was hot. They did make good on my refund. Need to look for a new chef.

I love every minute I spend here. It's like walking into your living room. Safe, fun and good vibes. Great for sports and really good food!! Love their bartenders no matter what time of day or night. Owners are great!

Word to the wise, there isn't actually a glass turtle at this establishment... At least not one I could find. I looked in the seating area, behind the bar, in the restrooms, and even under the tables, where all I found was gum. All that searching made me thirsty, so ordered a brew. It was cold, sudsy, and served with a smile. The bartender even gave me a coupe samples before I made a decision. I was pleased with the beer and service. I was also pleased with how much this bar had to offer. They had some great tunes on the speakers, big screen TV's, an awesome patio, and karaoke. It's a lively place with a fun crowd and definitely worth visiting.

We stopped by on the way to a party where we choose not to eat because of sanitary reasons. Had some nachos and a couple of drinks. David was our bartender. Happy to be here, attentive, on top of things. Might be back for football tomorrow.

The Glass Turtle is a fun, comfortable sports bar and lounge that serves delicious pub cuisine, with many choices of beer on tap, any mixed drink you can imagine. If you're a lover of the great outdoors, the restaurant features an amazing patio, where you can relax, enjoy a drink or a fine meal, and watch the world go by. The Glass Turtle is a great bar and a wonderful restaurant, located in Roseville, CA. The front door is located on the deck of the restaurant, and you'll note the sports pennants and beer signs, along with the California state flag. You've truly arrived! As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the long bar, with many bar stools, which were well-seated on this early Friday afternoon. The dining room is spacious, and furnished with tall tables and chairs, which make for comfortable dining. The bar features many beers on tap, which tend to run on the "premium" side of things. Besides beer taps, the bar is decorated with every type of bottle you would ever wish for, and in my case, many brands and bottles that I've never heard of, since I'm mostly a beer kind of guy. To enhance the "sports bar" feel to the lounge, there are television monitors, what at the time of my visit, were tuned to a major league baseball game in progress. The furniture is tall bar tables with matching chairs, all in polished oak, which makes for attractive furniture. The patio is located in front of the restaurant, on a wooden deck, and offers both tall bar table and chairs, and standard tables and chairs for your dining pleasure. The patio is covered, shaded, and there are heaters to keep things warm during cold weather. On this early July afternoon, with the temperature hovering around he 90-degree mark, I chose to enjoy my delicious "GT Burger" outside on the patio. From the "Large Plates" section of the menu, I went with the "flagship" burger, the "GT Burger," and a side of onion rings. As optional "add-ons" - for a small additional charge - for the burger, I added "Pepper Jack Cheese," along with "Applewood" bacon. I upgraded the "House Potato Chips" to "Onion Rings," again, for a small additional fee, but I was simply craving onion rings on this Friday afternoon. I wasn't disappointed! This delicious burger starts out with a third pound of premium Angus beef, cooked to order. I ordered my meat to be cooked medium, and it arrived as ordered, juicy, lightly seasoned and just a little crisp on the outside, and moist and tender inside. The meat was placed inside a lightly buttered and toasted bun. I ordered "everything" on my burger, and my burger arrived garnished with sliced tomato, white onion and a couple slices of lettuce. All veggies were crisp, fresh and chilled, which made an amazing contrast to the warm meat, cheese, bacon and bun. One of the criteria for a "top shelf" burger is the contrast between warm and chilled, and The Glass Turtle "nailed" this burger category. The burger arrived without any dressing, which I always love, as I prefer to customize my burger, and enjoy it MY WAY. A tray of condiments was placed on the table, which included mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, along with a bottle of "Tapatio" Mexican hot sauce, but the burger was so juicy and delicious that it didn't need any "enhancements" as I loved it the way it arrived. I upgraded my burger by adding a slice of "Pepper Jack" cheese, along with a couple pieces of "Applewood" sliced bacon. For the added taste sensation, I can afford to spend a couple extra bucks before contacting my banker! I paid an extra dollar for the side of "Onion Rings," as I'm not a fan of potato chips with a burger, as I prefer something more substantial. "Onion Rings" made the prefect side for the "GT Burger," The onion rings were light, crispy, and perfectly deep fried to a golden brown, with crispy fried batter on the outside, which complimented and contrasted with the tender white onion. The onion-to-batter ratio were perfect, and the onion rings were simply delicious. My "GT Burger" and side of "Onion Rings" were simply delicious, and perfect in every way. Burger lovers should take note that The Glass Turtle delivers an amazing burger! The Glass Turtle serves delicious food, ice cold beer, and if the weather is nice, you'll enjoy your amazing meal on the friendly and comfortable patio. Fine drinks and dining is to be enjoyed at The Glass Turtle, located in Roseville, CA.

Been a few times and no complaints. The big man behind the bar provides 5 star service. Nice chill place though can be (too) loud at times.

Been going to this small place many times over a decade or so.. Haven't been lately ,but it's a great place to get a drink enjoy the company or even sit outside and watch the cars go by..Come down get a drink with a good conversation from others there..

Came in for a drink, waited patiently at the bar top to be served BUT the bartender was too busy taking shots with guests so we left. Extremely unprofessional.

I am pretty new to the area and a neighbor told me that the best burger in Roseville was served here. I had to try it. It really WAS the best burger I have had in Rosevill in 5 years - and I like burgers! I do not drink but, my friends both had beer and enjoyed every drop. My experience was that the service was top-notch and I, as a single woman, felt very safe and comfortable. The local regulars - that everyplace needs to survive - were friendly and respectful and just there to have a nice evening. I plan on joining there ranks immediately! I will just walk my doggies over and have a burger!

Small older pub with excellent food. My boyfriend loves the BLT and I always try something new and have never been disappointed. Basic options, but they do a really good job executing their dishes.

Hello excellence. Chill but lively atmosphere. Reasonable taps - including option for Revision by the pitcher. Maybe it's a nieve and jaded Bay Area transplant bias, but the people are exceptionally nice. You know, they like hold the door open for you. Clean restrooms (always a plus) and generally clean everything actually. Ok. Time to talk about potato chips. No, not some bag from the chip rack. Fresh potato chips. Crispy yet chewy. Salty and just a little greasy. Sinful, yet sooooo worth it. And then, as we're approaching last call and the kitchen is closed, the door man stops by the table with complimentary chocolates. I mean, come on man! You didn't have to do that. But thank you. Maybe I'm just new to the area and the midwestern manners are commonplace here and throwing me off a little, but if this hospitality is the real deal, they've got a new regular on their hands. Kudos to the Glass Turtle!

NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE! This is not just a poor service issue, it's a DANGEROUS place to be (especially as a female). My daughter and BF walked in here tonight for a nightcap after a long, hard working weekend and as soon as they entered (the door did not automatically close behind them & they did not immediately notice), when a large, rotund man at the back of the bar yelled the "the door doesn't (expletive) close itself!" To which they closed the door, the bartender said nothing, served them a foamy beer and when they went outside to sit and drink it, the bartender was kind enough to go and top off their drinks and ask if they were ok. Obviously he knew he had a very rowdy, obnoxious individual that was intoxicated and should not be being served anymore alcohol, in there scaring other customers. My daughter told him that she was not ok and that guy needs to cool it. To which the bartender said "I know! I'm so sorry" Thank you for the kindness of asking Mr bartender but do the right thing and quit serving assholes who scare away normal customers that just want to have a nice time and not bother anyone else. When you have an obnoxious, or potentially dangerous & scary individual -kick them out and call the police if they won't leave. This is not an establishment that they nor I or anyone I know will ever again frequent.

Steer clear of the old blonde bartender. She's a drunk mess. Her lack of professionalism and customer service aside- the bar is a typical hole in the wall. Food is 5/10.

Rudest bartenders I have ever met in my life. Came here with a couple friends for a birthday and sat outside since it was quiet inside. Bartender is upset that my friend brought a gift for the guy with the birthday and tells us we didn't tip enough when we tipped 15% per tab. We apologize anyway out of confusion and he comes back outside for the second time to smoke a cigarette and stare at us the entire time. Comes back over to us and tells us to never come back. Proceeds to turn the lights off on us and the tv. Obviously has something going on with himself and feels the need to take it out on guests who were never even rude in the slightest. It was not even close to closing time when this happened.

I love the bartenders. Been coming here for years. But the clientele is rude as fuck. I left in tears tonight. Officially won't come back.

A super fun place to spend an evening or catch a game. Food is delicious, employees are very friendly with a warm welcome and it has an awesome sound system which makes for great Karaoke.

I live out of town, but travel to Roseville once a month to work at our corporate office. I am from a small town and LOVE a great dive/neighborhood bar and thought The Glass Turtle was going to be my jam.... WRONG!!! My husband and I have gone in together the last 3 times (I'm not quitter and REALLY wanted to love this place) and low and behold we continually get ignored! Please note, I am not seeking out a round off flip flop by Mary Lou Retton, a hello would have been super!!!! Needless to say, we went to the Yard House and they were not only welcoming, they said "Hello" and recognized us

This place used to be packed and here we are on a Saturday night, Karaoke Night and it's dead. Seriously, what is going on with this once happening place. The DJ is playing two to three songs, not dancing songs....just music then he is allowing singers to come up once then plays more music of his choice. WTH? Two hours of karaoke and each singer (total of 6) was able to sing maybe 3-4 songs. People were dropping like flies! ATTENTION OWNER: get a NEW DJ and save your business. This was a waste of our time. Great service on drinks but the DJ makes it the worst.

Okay so this place was recommended from a fellow bartender that I know. Shout out to Noah! Stopped in for lunch and a bite to eat. It was pretty steady for lunch time. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad and Mozzarella sticks. The Salad was pretty bomb! Simple yet did the job! It was big enough to share. The Young lady that was bartending was nice. A lot of regulars in the building. That says a lot. I need to stop in on the night crowd and see what that scene is all about!

A group of us visited the Glass Turtle on Saturday and what can I say but EXCELLENT! The food was out of this world! David & Daryl, the cook and the bartender, fabulous, funny & excellent service! We'll be back for sure. Love the atmosphere! Really could have stayed all afternoon.

Came here for drinks with my boyfriend and one of his friends, such a great place the bartender Sam is fantastic so sweet and worth taking a trip to have a few drinks. I did not have any of the food, but it looked amazing and will definitely try it another time that I visit.

The Fries here are amazing! The outside patio is nice. Especially when it's cooler because they have heat lamps.

My friends and I were celebrating our buddy's birthday! We had been playing at Thunder Valley Casino all afternoon and needed a change of scenery. We found this place and decided to give it a try!! This is a great dive bar!! They have a decent outdoor patio area in front of the bar. Although it faces the busy road it's nestled with trees and cozy. We actually went inside to play. Our bartender was super nice and attentive. Our background music was right up our alley. Old school rock. Maybe not for everyone, but it worked for us. This is a small place. My friends and I were just looking for drinks so that we could catch up on our busy lives. This was our happy spot just for that!! We shared lots of stories and laughs and had great service. Overall...if you're looking for pool tables and such...you won't find it here. I heard they had karaoke but not every night. We went outside to leave and ended up sharing more laughs in their patio area. It was a beautiful evening. This would be a great spot on a summer evening on their patio with a cold drink in hand laughing with friends!! Oooooh!! We even laughed with other patrons!! Super friendly folks!! I will be back.

Came here once a few months ago, never coming back. Regulars in there were super kind so it felt pretty welcoming at first. Bartenders were short with us but that was kind of normal in my eyes, they were busy. Then I walked into the bathroom where the two women bartenders were in stalls, talking trash about me. When I spoke up their excuse was they had a long shift and were so tired and offered my friend and I a free drink. Took the drink w them, a regular, and a guy bartender. Paid for the drinks we ordered. Left. Never going back. Appreciate they tried to make the situation better but leave the talk about customers for after the bar closes at least.

Friendly staff and accommodating to large groups. In previous years they would take great care of my party of 40 people super bowl weekend. Very patient,helpful, and kind.

1st visit, Super Bowl Sunday 2020. Came here just before 2nd half, after work. Good, friendly crowd, mostly Niner fans I'm a Niner fan! The woman next to me recommended their wings, but I opted for Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich, (cause I me some GOOD pulled pork) and then chose the fresh made chips over fries cause that woman next to me also suggested the chips. Pulled pork sandwich was dElish and so were the fresh crispy chips! They have a limited but decently diverse selection of brews on tap. There is a patio area with tables out and a TV. I look forward to my next visit!

The only positive thing about this place is the outdoor seating. It is a 21 and older place which is just not right . The have a full menu and out door seating but will not serve families if there are young members. i would not recommend anyone to go if you want nice service. When my son and I were turned away the two staff members didnt even offer ordering takeout . It didn't appear that they cared about getting customers . They were rude and practicality pushed us out the door.

We came here for a local chapter CHIVE thirsty thurday meet up to the iconic glass turtle around 6:30 pm. the best part about being outside was those with dogs could bring them along :) It was hot so we decided to take over the patio, not knowing how many of us were going to show up- the staff was friendly and even bought us a round of drinks. They had karaoke after 9/10pm in which we all stayed for- because why wouldn't we. The inside was kind of loud. Some of the food orders came out later than quoted, some much later. The drinks were moderately priced for Roseville but would be considered high at you local dive bar. I wouldn't NOT go here again, I just don't know that it is my first choice.

The drink prices here are reasonable. After 8 drinks ordered in the group, the total after 20% tip was about $80. Some drinks were cheaper than others, but that was a good average cost. The place itself has a full bar, that I could see. It's a little cozy, and too many Tv's for my liking, but sitting outside was nice. The place, mainly the outside, could have been cleaner though. Otherwise, all good.

After being hit in the head with an arm sized branch after only being their for 10 minutes, leaving me with a scratched face, arm sore neck and a concussion I was MOCKED by the waitress/bartender and the owner "Ryan" did nothing short of the bare minimum to check if a patron was ok. They did however manage to send a bartender out to "kick the evidence off the walkway" and pass the blame game for a poorly maintained property. This is a poorly ran establishment from the management down. Beware of this place if you value your safety. as a side note: As the sober driver I told the owner the least he could do was comp my friends. He made the least amount of effort possible, and my friends paid for the majority of their tab. Needless to say we went someplace else to eat after that.

I'm new to the area but I felt right at home when I walked in the door to the glass turtle I was greeted by a wonderful lady named Shannon who was a fantastic bartender. This Place has warm inviting atmosphere plenty of friendly faces ,good music, and definitely better drinks then any other place around.

Don't know what I was supposed to think when entering this establishment but it wasn't what I was presented with nothing but weather faces and water down drinks, sorry not sorry they did it to themselves...:not one amphibious creature on the premise except for the one wrinkle lady in the back!

No stars! The bartender gave our card to someone else. When we asked for the card, no one could locate it. We were told that they'd never give our card to someone else, although we were able to quickly point out that our card was charged out earlier. After pulling up our bank account, we easily showed the charges to the card earlier in the evening. Neither bartender was willing to take responsibility for the incident. Once the owner was involved, things went slightly easier. Until the "Guido-bar-back" got involved. His abrasive attitude and insistence that we were causing problems was an incredible insult. I asked how often this happens and his response was "all the time." They GAVE THE CARD TO THE WRONG PERSON and somehow us asking to get it back was problematic. We got home to find charges on the card for a restaurant near the bar. Incredibly inconvenient, rude and poor customer service by the bartenders and the loud "Guido." Is there any legal recourse to a bartender handing your card to the wrong person? Would that be considered not checking IDs?

I've been a customer for about 7 years. Always have a good time. Drinks are good and fairly priced. Food is pretty legit for a bar. Some of the bartenders aren't the best, but the atmosphere makes up for their shitty personalities. The bouncers are hella cool. The head bouncer, Justin, is always doing a great job. Some people say he's the GM. If he's not, he should be. Definitely feel safe when he's around.

How low can I get with this rating. Absolutely the worst service ever received by any, yes any, food place/sports bar. We did like this place at one time. No more. Never again. Don't waste your time.

It was amazing that one little place could cause so much joy! I picked this spot randomly because it was the closest place to where my cousin was staying. No regrets, and a place where we could have a drink and talk.

Went here to celebrate a birthday, the glass turtle was recommended through a friend. We came in with a small group of 6, we proceeded to all order drinks at the bar. Each group member walked up to the bar separately to order a drink. Due to the fact of being a larger group we stepped outside to have our drinks and not disturb other patrons. We sat outside and one of our group members gifted the person with the birthday a pair of handmade glasses. A thoughtful gift. As we sat outside the bartender checked in on us to make sure our tabs were closed, all of our tabs were closed. The bartender came out for the second time to pick up shot glass, as the bartender was picking up the small shot glasses he proceeded to collect the large handmade glasses. We informed the bartender those were in fact our glasses that were a gift. The bartender hastily responded that we were not allowed to bring glasses. We were confused as to why this was an issue as they were a gift. We continued on our night on the patio, the bartender came back out to the patio to smoke and watched us through the time he smoked his cigarette. Once the bartender finished his cigarette he began to berate our group saying that if we were going to bring our own glasses we need to leave a 2 cent tip, we chuckled thinking the bartender was joking with us. But he then continued to tell us that he was not joking and we are not allowed back. Not only did the bartender continue to walk by the patio window but he proceeded to turn off all the lights in the patio in order to get us to leave.. I was very disappointed in the way we were treated, I understand we were a larger group but we all entered the establishment well mannered, we never at one point treated the staff poorly. I wish this review ended with a resolution but I will never recommend the glass turtle to a single person.

This is a fun little spot. It actually reminds me of a dive bar, which a lot of other yelpers hit on. The good news is there's food and the food is pretty good. It's not quite on the healthy alternative that I was originally looking for, or that my buddy promised me it would offer. It's definitely comfort food type of establishment. Their specials are pretty spot on, with good combinations of different flavors, options that pair best with one another. The sandwich I ordered was a little greasy, including the fries, which I should've expected, but was a little blindsided by, not quite exactly what I was looking for, hence the 4 star review. I will say their staff is friendly, helpful and patient. The beers on tap are plentiful with some good choices. Their food was spot on, although could use a little less oil. Aside from that, it's a pretty solid establishment, with laid back, lax atmosphere, that's sure to meet most expectations.

I love this place! I've been going to this place since I turned 21. Although the place changed owners and bartenders, it's still a great place to hang out. Wednesdays = Country Night Thursday-Saturday = Karaoke between 9-11pm and dancing @ 11-2am.

I started coming to the Turtle since the late 1980s! From the very beginning, their food has ALWAYS been superb, and with a very friendly staff Always fun to drop in for drinks also. I highly recommend the Glass Turtle for delicious appetizers, a great lunch & drinks

Absolutely love this place.. it had such a different vibe from modern bars! This place felt very comfortable! Great music and great group of people!
