Ugh, I totally forgot to take pictures of my food because I was so hungry. Sorry guys! Hopefully this review makes up for it. Here we go:
The restaurant is located near the water. On a warm summer day, it is going to be extremely busy so enjoy the frustration of searching for parking. Count on the Hibiscus Mule to ease your anxiety and irritation; you'll need it after suffering through. Thankfully, it is a delightful libation worthy of easing your stresses. The bartender definitely emulsified!
The restaurant is very cozy! On a crowded day, you may have to befriend your table top mates since you are almost sitting in their lap. It makes a good venue to possibly end up with a new friend or at the very least, creep on your neighbor's plate without being obvious and assist you in figuring out what you want to eat.
Speaking of, we ordered the chicken tinga wontons which came paired with a jalapeño dipping sauce. These were amazing and one of my favorite dishes. For those worried about spice, the ranch dip did not have too much heat (and could in fact stand to up the notch a bit), so don't let it deter you! Both myself and my friend had the mango salad with blackened salmon. It was very tasty! I appreciated the goat cheese addition and actually have rounded out my weekly lunch meals I make for myself with a salad inspired by them.
Oh, and the service was pretty good! Waitress was attentive but not annoyingly so and the food came out rather fast. To note, we went when it wasn't all that crowded. I was there a little earlier than when it opened, so at 4 it would've been great if they made some indication that I could come in. Other than that, would definitely return and check out the other menu items!
