The Goat

My husband and I hosted a 100 person event here for an unconventional baby shower dance party event. I worked with Sarah for the month leading up to it for coordination and on the day of. She was very friendly, receptive and easy to communicate with. This location hasn’t really done events here of this kind so there were some hurdles to go through and figure out together. That’s why I’m not giving 5/5. There is room for improvement for running an event here, but we had a great time and our guests did too. Staff was super friendly the day of and really helped us out. Hopefully this opens the door for even more events to be held here. Thanks again y’all!

It's a pretty pricey place, but it's worth visiting once in awhile because they have some outrageously great things on their menu. The drinks are definitely overpriced for how weak they are. Unfortunately they messed up our sides, and were sold out of a lot of menu items. Hope to have better luck next time!

I always dine 2x before giving a review if it's not going to be 5 stars. Let's start with service.I would say over all It's pretty good, from the greet desk to their servers. Everyone is friendly, menu savy, and prompt. The food just falls short. The fries are disappointing, never crispy. I ordered steak tips over the house salad, and quite honestly, it was not edible. I'm not sure where they get their meat from, but it was by far the worst meat i've ever had in a restaurant. The lettuce was not fresh, starting to brown. The side of the mac n cheese was not hot it came out warm at best. The atmosphere is fun, but the food needs alot of work.

Awesome breakfast! Very reasonable prices too. I love that it's not the usual boring breakfast selection. I had the delicious nacho tater tots. If you love sweet pancakes, they have so many fun kinds.

We went to the goat for the first time tonight and we loved it! Food was great, good prices and our waitress Sam was AMAZING! Molly was the manager tonight and her customer service was phenomenal. We will be back.

We were a large party of 25 and had one waitress. (we called ahead to verify that they could handle us) Thus, it took 15+ minutes to get drinks and even longer for food. The food came out sporadically. Some folks were done eating before the last few people were even served. One person's order was missed altogether. The waitress was most pleasant and did the absolute best she could given the circumstances. In my opinion, a large party such as ours should have had a minimum of two wait staff. We were happy that we weren't in any rush and were able to hang out for an extended period of time and enjoy each other's company. The relaxed and fun atmosphere was great. We would go again.

What a neat little bar. I was with a group of people that are from the area, I was not. I'm not a drinker so I didn't get anything to drink and I can't tell you how well they make their drinks or not. I just got a bubbly water with a slice of lime, not the average drink. Whenever we went it wasn't very crowded, but it had plenty of space to handle a decent sized crowd. The bartenders were nice and it seems like a good place to go hang out with friends and have a couple of drinks just for fun, especially if you live in the area and have access to this on a more regular basis.

Can’t seem to ever get all of the items in the bag. The potato skins have got to be the tiniest potato skins in the history of potato skins $15 dollars for this can you believe it? Lighter for scale. Ordered a Caesar salad and no sauce of course. Renders the entire salad useless lmfao. Be better, it’s not that hard.

This place sux!! Flat out SHITTY SERVICE AND LIES!! I will never be back what a waste of time and starving my kids! Over 1 hour after being seated to only hear they just started the order when place was dead. No it was the horrible waitress who never put order in and then lies twice to us. Thanks!

It's a country bar with lots of space. We came for lunch after a convention across the street. The hostess was quite but polite. Waitress was friendly as well. We had a party of 7, four of us got food the rest got drinks. The food came out in a timely manner, we all got a burger of sorts. There is a HEFTY portion of tots that come with your enormous burger. Mine was great. The tots could have been a little crispier but overall not a bad experience.

Don't go if you want to sing, dance or have a good time!! Security, Dan will make sure to ruin your evening! I asked him to tell me why and he refused to explain. So, my suggestion, don't bother!

The Goat is large country and western venue that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a full bar. The TVs are located to make watching while dining easy from anywhere you sit. They also offer live music, karaoke, trivia nights and more to make it a great place to hang out with friends. I visited for breakfast. The staff was very pleasant. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. I would go back with friends in the evening though, because it seems like they put a lot of effort into making it a fun place to be.

I came here with my friends for a birthday dinner and drinks this past Saturday. We had reservations for 6 p.m. for 12 of us and I must say that the staff did a very good job of making sure we were seated on time. We were even given a large table off to the side so we had a good view of the live music. Our waiter was great; very personable and made sure that every one in our group was taken care of (even after a couple people showed up late). We stayed for about four hours and no one ever had to walk up to the bar to order another drink. He was great! The drinks on the other hand were ehh. My mixed drinks were pretty sugary and had little-to-no alcohol. I would probably stick with beer if I come back. As for the food; their menu is loaded with stuff that makes you want to cheat on your diet. My friend ordered a burger which used grilled cheese sandwiches for buns. A few of us ended up splitting the bacon bucket, pork belly, tenders, and fried pickles which were all delicious. No complaints at all with the food!

I was all ready to write a scathing review but I realized it's not worth my time. If you want LAZY bartenders who spend all their time on their personal phone instead of serving customers, then this is your go to place. Add a manager who is clueless as to what is going on in her bar (maybe she should spend some time in it) and you have my experience. Cut off for no reason after 1 drink, and 1 in our party is in time out for a week. I can't be bothered with this type of crap when I go out (which is not often, so I really don't need this). Will never step foot in this establishment again.

Grilled cheese and French onion soup is incredible. The best part about it is you can pick the type of cheeses you want in your grilled cheese and the ghost pepper cheese is 10/10!! The best drinks!!! Mimosas with blueberry vodka, you will not be disappointed. The service is always great and the servers are really nice. The best Sunday brunch spot. Inside it has Big open bar vibes open floor plan with high top tables. Light up the goat sign is definitely a highlight for me. Can't wait to go back

Having dined here multiple times, my recent visit was a significant disappointment. This was our third or fourth time visiting, and while the food maintained its usual high quality, the service was abysmal. Our waitress was remarkably inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for basic items and services, which severely detracted from our dining experience. The most glaring issue occurred when we went to pay our bill. We walked into the restaurant to pay and saw our waitress texting on her phone, completely oblivious to her responsibilities and the customers waiting for her attention. I wish I had remembered the waitresses name so management could know. While the food itself was good, the lack of proper service overshadowed the entire meal. This experience has made us reconsider returning in the future.

If you want to eat a burger go on mondays for bogo burgers. If not its a fake country club

Location Location Location! When in downtown manchester, staying at the double tree, we tend to head out left and hit the town and bars. However, the last night visiting on July 3rd, we hooked a right and ran into the Goat! Best decision of the weekend, I think! Decor: It feels like my hometown Wyoming country bar. Plenty of seats, an excellent stage for bands, pool tables, and plenty of room to roam around when not packed. Food and Drinks: We each started with the sledgehammer, which tasted like an amped-up Mimosa, blood orange vodka; it was bright and refreshing! The app, we tried the bacon-wrapped jalapenos, and they were pretty tasty, and you could tell they def did not come from a freezer! Because it was so hot and we had a large lunch, we chose a burger and split it. There were so many choices! We opted for the big big bern: cheese, avocado, and some kind of sauce. We asked for pink, and they delivered. We did ask for tumbleweeds and a side of fries, but only the weeds came out, and in hindsight, that was just fine. The burger was juicy and seasoned very well. The weeds coulda use a tad bit more salt, but they are still great. We asked for a side of their goat sauce, and I wanted to take it home with me, hahaha! Service: Sitting at the bar is the best for ppl watching, and hubs and I love chatting with the bartenders. Rania was fantastic. The right amount of chatting and then letting us chill and enjoy the night. Music: The Goat boasted music 365 days a year and did not disappoint on Sunday! Mike Forgetti was playing, and he was amazing, just the right vibe for a lazy Sunday evening. He had this loop thing, my hubby is gonna roll his eyes at me trying to explain, but he could play different parts and record it and then become like a one-person band for his songs. So it was pretty cool listening and trying to guess what song he was going to do. Overall, give this place a chance. It is their newer location so let them work out the kinks. Also, if you are going just for dinner and don't want the "club" like vibes, I suggest you hit it up a bit early. Otherwise, this place is going to get packed, and def during the college season, it is going to get loud. We will def be back next year!

Went here for drinks tonight and was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. My friend was refused entrance because she was "too drunk". She had one drink and was acting completely normal. And not even She is of asian descent and I believe that this is why she was not let in. He treated me normally and I am white. This is NOT how a business should be operated. I am a frequent customer and will NEVER return. This is so DISAPPOINTING AND EMBARRASSING. NO ONE GO HERE!!!!!! We also went to the next bar and they were extremely welcoming and treated us with respect as they should.

Food is sub par, at most. Management is absolutely horrible. The ambiance is fine but not worth the rest of the terrible experience. I have worked in restaurants, across all positions, and this is one of the shadiest businesses I have ever been to.

Love this place! Delicious food, great live music and fast service! Get the burger and fries if you want to have a good time. The patio is my happy place.

The second time I've been here and again, awesome. A rustic cowboy bar-like atmosphere. High top tables and a large bar with plenty of seating. There is also a lower area with a big stage for, I'm sure, some great musical performances. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. She took our order quickly and checked back often. My friend and I ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer and were surprised when it was delivered and had some fried jalapeños "peppered" into the dish (get it?). When my order came to the table I was more parts pleasantly surprised than a tiny bit disappointed. Let's break this down....my burger "The Cheesehead" was looking like it should be on the cover of Burgers of the Universe Monthly!! Better than I could have imagined!! And the taste!!!! Bang boom pow (Tommy from Goodfellas impression) it was the prizefighter of tastiness. The only tiny flaw was that I had ordered my tots of the "Parmesan Truffle" variety and they arrived looking naked. Even though the plain tots were hot and crispy and delicious I still told our server of the delivery error. She was like Barry Allen in real life and returned in moments with a fresh order of the right tots. You know in the cartoons where the roadrunner scoots away and there's just a cloud of where he used to be? That was our server. She wanted to correct the issue ASAP and we appreciated it. She let us keep the first plain tots so my best friend and I were Crunchy Potato Morsel KINGS for a night - I wanted to include our servers name in the review but 1. When she introduced herself originally, there was a little ruckus from the next table and it got buried. And 2. When the check arrived it said our server was "Eliot" soooo I assumed she was training or her name is actually that. Either way, she was great. Atmosphere was great. Food was great. Can't wait to go back again and again and again!!

Horrible service, rude staff. Came with an out of town group and was treated like we were not welcome from the moment we arrived. Bartender told our group we could order water only due to being seemingly "over-served" despite us all having come from a work event and clearly not intoxicated. Will be filing a complaint with the NH BBB.

Good drinks, great friendly service, but the food is lacking. Ordered the brisket sandwich and it dry. Had tots on the side and they were over cooked and cold when they came out. My friend had the steak tacos, they were dry as well, lacked sauce and they need more hot sauce options, maybe a Silas verde? Unimpressed food wise. Drinks!! Nailed it. Great bar and great service at the bar. Bartenders are friendly. Strongly suggest this place for drinks, and not the food unfortunately. Maybe management can make a few changes to improve the food.

After stopping by "The Goat" I can definitely see why the reviews are so low. No stars is more appropriate. I'm not sure why the would employee someone with A chip that size on his shoulder. A friend and I certainly weren't prepared to be verbally assaulted by the young man standing behind the bar. I'm not sure if he was even a bartender, I think he may have been a bar back. I'm not a local, so between the hour drive, high prices and the disrespectful employee that we encountered, I wouldn't recommend this place to someone I didn't even like. I'm 42 years old and I have never been "cut off" let alone told I was "cut off" without even an explanation why, only to be humiliated by one of their employees. To add insult to injury, literally, this "bar back" maybe and some one barely above the drinking age himself) The real kicker is i hardly drink to begin with and he ruined my bday celebration. We had been there a little over an hour and had one drink (an amaretto sour) and one shot. Then had been drinking water cause it was EXTREMELY hot inside. Only to be yelled at and told I was cut off. (While drinking ice water, and standing mere feet from a police officer). This kid proceed to yell at my friend and I, as if we had done something to personally offend him in some way. When my friend politely as him why, and while other bar patrons began questioning it too. He became enraged and started yelling saying "It's my prerogative whether to serve you or not and he didn't need a reason why".... At that point I simply said "You're absolutely right" and walked away. Other staff member and customers began questioning what had happened and why. I'm completely mortified, not to mention embarrassed as THE WHOLE BAR HEARD. I'm not even upset about the alcohol. I would've like to continue dancing and enjoying the night but we couldn't even get water without having to explain ourselves. So we left. I wish he had had a name tag on. Not very caring service. I took my sister for her 21st birthday and I believe that the service wasn't above and beyond. The food was alright. We shared nachos and tacos.

Yummy burger ! I got the BLT burger , not too big but still filling. I got the pasta salad instead of fries , it was a great match for the burger. I do want to give this restaurant another try but according the the reviews, it sounds like I need to visit the Hampton location !

Everything was amazing. Perfect location to see an act and the food and beer was great.

We went in after the reptile expo at the double tree hotel today to try their brunch. The atmosphere was pretty nice and the live music was good. We waited about an hour for a western omelet and French toast. Everything had a slight burnt greasy taste. Seems like they deep fried the hash browns but yet they were slightly hard inside. The best part of the whole meal was just the simple wheat toast. Would not return. The staff were apologetic for the wait. It was definitely a low point in an otherwise fun day.

Much bigger than any of the other locations which was a nice surprise - I didn't feel like we were hovering over anyone either at the bar or at our table. I think staffing is a huge issue since when we arrived we had to wait about a half hour to be seated even though there were about half the tables open...the wait times only got longer after we got seated and started our meal. The food was up to par - just as good as the other locations; the burgers will always be my favorite. We tried some Fall-inspired cocktails as well and they were both good (the Smokey cider was really good!). The only real issue we had was service - it was just really slow because the servers were overworked and it was easy to see. They were all running around and trying their best to keep up with everyone. We didn't mind, but multiple times our server would come over and ask us if she was supposed to bring us anything but forgot (she hadn't). And when she brought over the second round of drinks they were the wrong ones...still good but not what we ordered or were expecting. Overall I love the Goat and I'll be a loyal customer but the Manchester location needs to get a few kinks out before it can be a 5 star location.

We went for the Parmalee concert tonight - great show! Wow, I couldn't be more unimpressed with the employees. Bouncers might be the most rude employees I've ever met. We tried to leave out the side door (mind you, we've never been to this place. We live 950 miles away). The bouncer then sassed us saying "These F***ing People. Go out the front door". Unbelievable treatment and red tape around ever decision the employees make. As a native Tennessean, I'm glad real country bars are nearby.

I've enjoyed their location in hampton and was really excited for the Manchester opening. I was so disappointed. Our server was sweet but could not answer simple questions regarding menu options. It wasn't busy but it took 55 minutes to get our food. The burgers were overcooked, the fries were cold. The next day I looked at the receipt and realized we were over charged. Went back to the restaurant, spoke with a manager who stated they would issue the credit back to my card...that was 6 weeks ago...still no credit.

We first got sat and it took 45 mins to have anyone come over and take a drink order. We had to go up to the hostess and ask if someone was going to come serve us. We then ordered breakfast (eggs and toast) and it took over an hour to come out and be served to us. Disappointed.....

Went for a late brunch with my friends and Ashley K didn't not disappoint! Food came out quick and was as good if not better than it usually is! Service was perfect and drinks were even better! Thank you we'll definitely be back for more!

We had a table of 8, 3 people got caesar salad and three others got the chicken caesar wrap special. Everyone agreed they did not taste like they had any caesar dressing. Wraps were dry and flavorless and the salads just looked like they had oil and vinegar. I would try something else there but was not impressed.

We went to eat and they are not permitted to serve alcohol due to getting a fine. So that sucked. They even handed us beer and cocktail menus before they told us. Food looked good but we ended up leaving.

Wow!!!! Amazing place to eat! Steve our waiter great guy. The bartender did his job putting alcohol in the drinks and not holding back. The food for mainly a burger joint / bbq amazing and I see on Wednesday they do 10 cents wings so we will be trying them because hey 10 cent wings why not.

The drinks were good Jax the bartender was great friendly an fun to talk with. Looks like a fun place to go to have a good time was just checking it out but will be back.

We have been here twice this month for brunch on Sunday. The food is very good, not gourmet, but a solid brunch. They have a very nice selection with many options. I'm only giving it a 3 because of the length of time to get your food. During our first visit, the food was a little slow coming out. We just recently went before a show at the arena. This time it took over an hour to get our food. My advice, don't go if there are events happening in downtown Manchester. If you're interested in eating, just be prepared that the kitchen is a little slow.

The cheesehead burger was super tasty! The fries had a great texture, crispy on the outside and buttery smooth inside. Hubby had the same burger but with poutine tater tots and he cleaned his plate! Great service today too, love our waitress who totally comped us for the food coming out a little slower than anticipated. Hubby enjoyed his smoky cider cocktail as well. One of the few places in Manchester NH I would come again!

Went for a Sunday brunch. 1 hour wait for a table (~11 am) and another 1:20 for food but there was also a SNHU graduation at the arena that morning so it probably added to the normal crowd. Really good overall, bacon was nice and thick, Bloody Mary was delicious. Brisket Benedict was excellent but I had these burnt home fries that really bummed me out. Maybe 1/3 of them were so burnt they were inedible. The rest of the food was good enough to keep it from being fewer stars. If I'm going to wait that long for food, burnt is not what I'd expect.

Went on a recent Friday evening with my wife as we've heard about their burgers being great and their location in Hampton. Large and loud with lots of background noise, and a young crowd vibe. Nice wide open setup with outdoor seating as well. I had Sam summer draft with a mushroom Swiss burger and she had a hillbilly Gatorade and a burger with pineapple and bbq sauce. Burgers were good, maybe not great, albeit with no pink as requested. Our sides of fresh cut fries and tumbleweeds (thin onion rings) both were lukewarm. We had another round and enjoyed Big tvs and a couple of pool tables. Would try again

I went to the goat Thursday night for dinner. The two hosts at the front were so sweet. Our server greeted us right away to get our drinks and food order. The drinks were amazing and consistent throughout our meal. The food came out quickly and was picture perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be going back.

Awesome, updated spot with lots to do. Fun games to play like cornhole and pool. I went on a Thursday and they had Karaoke which was a blast. On Friday they had a Dj and the dance floor was open. The best part was that they had three bars in total. Two inside and one outside. This made it super easy and quick to get a drink!

The food is really good. I got brisket nachos and it was my first time having brisket. I loved it!! Yea

horrible, horrible place no customer service whatsoever. I never got our food because the bartender was so rude outback. She accuse me of taking pictures of her staff vaping in the parking lot which by the way is not right, they accused me of raising my voice when I did not. i've never been to a place where they ask accuse me of something so beware when you go there don't pick up your phone. It looks like you're taking pictures of others because staff will gang up on you. Great customer service. as we all know, this place is in a very rough area with lots of drug activity so you know what I had every right to say something

Love the goat in Hampton Beach and in Portsmouth go there often try to go on a Saturday night I understand it was crowded with college students but I was alone they made me wait in line all alone first one in freezing weather I tried to tell them it's just me no one else. 15 people walked out they still wouldn't let me in yet they were letting all their friends in still made it making me wait in line in Frigid weather alone so just left! Will never go back there again. Which is too bad because I actually like the establishment and Hampton and Portsmourh but the Manchester one is obviously being Run poorly. Too bad because being older and not a college student I tip very well they would've appreciated my business but I'll never go there again

I really like this place - the best dance floor in town. But why is there always live music on the weekends? I wish they played more dancing music - everyone's just standing there looking awkward. I like the goat. I really do. but please play better music that I can dance and get drunk to. You guys rock.

Place is huge and everything a kewl bar/restaurant should be, our poor waitress .... Our food order was lost, she checked on us multiple times and brought us drinks when needed, it took an hour+ for our food to come out but when it did it was very good. They removed the food from the bill and it ended up being 90$ still, I left for $40 cash, I hope she had a better rest of her shift !!

Went in Saturday to grab a bite. I am a frequent client at the one in Hampton which has always been great atmosphere. Went in yesterday to Mancheter ans had the worst possible experience. Bartender( blond) had the biggest attitude It took her 10 minutes to come over as she was busy chatting with another bartender. Finally we placed a dunk order and I expressed that we were ready to place our food order. She barely made eye contact and with a snarl said she would be back... another 10-15 min go by. I had enough wasn't going to wait for girl with attitude ( for whatever reason) to continue to ignore us Left cash and left. Won't be back to Manchester anytime soon. Don't want to interrupt the staff with looking to get some service.

After waiting for several months for this place to open I was disappointed. Food prices are a bit high. Had planned on ordering some food but after seeing the girl sitting next to me at the bar take her tray of food and push it back towards the bartender I knew something wasn't right. I asked the girl what was wrong and asked her how her food was and she looked at me and said it was horrible and disgusting. I asked her what she ordered and she said a grilled cheese with pulled pork. How can you mess that up? She said it was the second time she ordered food there and couldn't eat it. Not sure she will go back there. After witnessing that we just stuck with having a drink. Got a basic Bloody Mary. Can't believe it is a dollar charge each for any extras. Most places give you olives and some veggies without charging for it. Drink wasn't bad celery could have been a bit fresher. Now comes the disgusting part. The women's restroom. It was plain filthy! It is quite apparent during their renovation of ManchVegas the bathrooms were not even touched. Most of the toilet paper dispensers were either broken laying on the floor, hanging barely on the stall wall or just no toilet paper roll in them. Even the handicap bathroom stall was like that. Truly pathetic. There was more toilet paper scraps on floor than in the dispensers. One stall was locked apparently out of order with Velcro tape all over it maybe there was an out of order sign on it when it was ManchVegas. There was another stall that you couldn't even lock, latch was broken. Not one stall had a purse hook on back of door. Are ladies supposed to put their handbags or coats on a filthy bathroom floor? Lastly the back of restroom entrance door was filthy. Maybe a little 409 might be needed. There is no excuse to not even make an attempt to fix some of these minor issues, why was the place even renovated? If your restrooms are in nasty condition what does that say about the bar? Especially with Covid still going on sanitation would be a good idea. Including a few pics to show restroom.
