Google
This was the first time my wife and I had something to eat and drink here. We just went with the traditional The Classic Pie. When it came out, it looked beautiful! I took the 1st bite, and you could taste the full flavor of the marinara sauce. The cheeses were pretty evened out. The only thing that kinda ruined it for me was that it was undercooked. The bottom was too doughy. I'm not sure if this is normal for Detroit-style pizza. This was new for me. We also ordered a burger and substituted with a veggie patty. This was DELICIOUS! It had to be handmade. This is the way a veggie burger should be made. We did love the atmosphere and the liveliness of this neighborhood place. It sure looks like they get a lot of locals come in over and over. Overall, we will stop by again, order the classic, and ask a few more questions before ordering.

Google
Very well made sandwiches and pies. The deep crust caramelizes, ingredients are great quality. Nice selection of drinks, appetizers, Everything we had was great. Delicious ceaser salad . Fresh brewed iced tea. Casual friendly atmosphere. Check hours before going, little different.

Google
The food itself is pretty decent, but the sauces are less than stellar. Upon requesting barbecue sauce, we were met with something more fishy/garlicky than barbecue, not to mention very thin too. The honey mustard was just okay too, not very sweet, not very strong, just very whatever. Overall soured the experience even though the food was good. If you are a sauce person and take that seriously, I would recommend somewhere else.

Google
SO we dropped a decent amount of money as we were from out of town and wanted a good sampling. Everything was above average, though not amazing. I would go back again if in the area but not drive 1.5 hours again. Atmosphere was great and staff were wonderful. Parking kind of sucks, but what can ya do

Sherie Miller C.

Google
It was an excellent experience all around! We got the GOAT pie and added bacon and it was just delightful. Service was quick and attentive. Drinks were decent. I would definitely return!

Kelly R.

Google
The spinach artichoke dip is served in a flaming hot cast iron pan with veggies and pita bread-outstanding! Pizza is amazing. Drinks are tasty and cold. Service is impeccable. Parking can be tricky but so worth it. Don't miss out!

Google
Omg! I’m the biggest food/restaurant snob, but coming from the best of the best….this place blew my mind! I almost don’t want to share. But I will. The cesar salad is REAL. authentic and delicious. And the pizza….omg, spot on! Marcy is the GOAT!

Jennifer L.

Google
Fantastic food! The Goat pie was delicious and the onion rings were out of this world. Bill for two came to less than 35.00 and we took home leftovers. Excellent service as well. A definite repeat!

Yelp
Was in town for a meeting and got this recommendation. I'm happy I went. The pizza was delicious. The texture was great and the edges were perfectly crispy. I'm a fan of Detroit style pizza and this was a good version of it. The wings were large and delicious. The blue cheese dressing was great and made in house. I'll definitely be back here again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
No seats my daughter-in-law is on oxygen we asked if she could sit someplace they had no place for her to sit they told us 15 minutes then they told us a half hour we left
google avatar

Yelp
This is a great pub located in Stockertown, that makes spectacular wings, Detroit pizza, cheesesteaks, and so much more. They have a full bar. No reservations are excepted. Service was excellent. Felt very welcoming , from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Food was spectacular. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner one night recently and sat at the bar. Friendly staff all around. I ordered the hot and honey pie that has pepperoni, jalapeño and honey. I asked with no jalapeño which wasn't a problem. Pizza is pretty good. It's not traditional with Marinara as a base. Instead they put a line of marinara down each side of the pie and basically one piece of pepperoni per square. More pepperoni and definitely more marinara on the pie would be better. Maybe a side of marinara to dip the pizza square into.

Yelp
The goat is a great place if you're looking for bar food or good Detroit style pizza. My favorite item on the menu is definitely their pizza and they have great drinks as well. Service is good and quick. We typically sit at the bar but there are tables as well. I didn't take a picture because people were sitting at them.

John S.

Yelp
Pub with average food. I had the chicken cheesesteak with fries. Tasted okay, but wouldn't order it again as it lacked any wow factor. Friend with me got chicken tenders and thought they were on par with fast food tenders. Service was slow, but the place was busy with what seemed like regulars. Noisy bar with large TVs, but unable to hear anything as it's a loud place.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to come out and try this place. We ordered 2 pies, the mozzarella and some garlic parm wings. We enjoyed it all and honestly had a hard time choosing what to get. We will be back to try the cheesesteaks next time for sure. Our server was super attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere as well.

Yelp
My favorite date night spot with my partner. Every time we go, we order something new off the menu and it never disappoints. The pizza is ON POINT! The mocktails are crafted beautifully and are simply divine. The service is consistently great. The space inside is a bit small, but they made the most of it.
google avatar

Craig S.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a cold beer and food. The staff weee friendly and attentive. They have great pub food that hits the spot with an ice cold beer. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I really want to give it a 4.5 but I cannot. This place is amazing with wonderful food and drinks. Their pizza is great, although the reason for the 4, is needs just a litttle extra crisp. Looking for that crunch. Have been three times this month for the first tim. We were hungry after a long day yard sailing for my mother. Had the pizza which was great and filling but needed a little more crunch. The staff is always friendly and nice. Their drinks are great and delightful but not overly expensive. I would definitely recommend the GOAT!

Yelp
Dinner here was great experience. I appreciated that they went lite on croutons & cheese for my Caesar salad and gave me housemade Caesar dressing on the side. Grilled chicken breast added to salad was delicious and sowas the salad. Hand cut fries were delicious. Waitress was a sweetheart.
google avatar

Lori W.

Yelp
Our first time here. We got The Goat Pie and the Eggplant Parm sandwich. Both were excellent and flavorful. I'd never had fried pickles before and we had them as an appetizer. They were delicious with a jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back. Awesome lunch.

Yelp
I have been to this establishment several times and it was always great. Tonight was a big let down ! consistency was nowhere to be found. In the past the cheese Steak was on a toasted roll. Tonight it was not. Soggy not toasted. Pizza was under cooked. Salad was terrible. Waitress came by to ask how the food was when we tried to convey to her we were not happy. She brushed us off and kept walking. She Had no interest in what we tried to tell her. We won't be back.
google avatar

Brooke L.

Yelp
Delicious, great service, and fun atmosphere! Husband had the cheesesteak sandwich and I had the fried chicken sandwich and both were great. Really enjoyed our visit!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Wife and I have been a fairly regular visitor of The Goat. Went tonight with friends, again an excellent night. Food Quality very high from eggplant sandwich (bread was insanely good), pizza, and chicken fingers. Fries are consistently 10/10...just a steady go to can't go wrong IMO!

Yelp
The GOAT Pub & Pie is a pub in Stockertown located right off of Main St. They specialize in Detroit style pizza and pub food such as burgers, cheesesteaks, and wings. I'm just going to come right out and say it. This place is amazing! I love my pub food. I've been to hundreds of places. I can honestly say this is some of the best pub food I've ever had. I (my buddy and I split everything) went with the Fried Mozzarella, Wings w/ Garlic Parm, Brisket Mac & Cheese, and the Goat Pie. All excellent! Dine-in and takeout are both available. No delivery. There is parking on both sides of the building and in the back but it's very limited. Finding a spot is a hassle during peak hours. Brisket Mac & Cheese - 8.5 Fried Mozzarella - 8.5 Wings - 8.3 GOAT Pie - 8.5 Food - 8.5 Service - 8.1 Value - 8.1 Restaurant score - 82

Eric R.

Yelp
One of the best cheese steaks hands down. Cool place great service. Pay attention to the details of their food.

Jessica K.

Yelp
This was a carry out order. Two times in a row this has been my sandwich. This is the bun left after 4 bites with chicken on it. Last time I figured it was a one off, and it wouldn't happen again. Got the sandwich tonight, $35 after tip for carry out including 2 canned drinks while I waited. I got a sliver of chicken smothered in sauce and a handful of fries. I live right next to this place. Not only bad neighbors but now bad food? The employees themselves are great but this is nuts. 2x in a row is way too much money down the drain for basically nothing. The food is tasty I will give them that. Nothing wrong there. 4 bites though? NOT worth it

Veronique C.

Yelp
The food is fabulous the service is fast and friendly, and the ambience of the place is totally comfortable friendly. And very helpful.

Michael C.

Yelp
Great food and service. Best pizza around. Worth the drive if you're not local. The hot and honey pie is tits.
google avatar

Joy A.

Yelp
Stopped on a friends recommendation the portions are great and food is very good! Wings are crisp and still tender perfection! The pizza was delish, I liked the sauce version better than the one with cheese sauce - the red sauce was rich and layered with flavor! Will definitely go back!

Yelp
My parents live locally to the area still since I've moved away- but I've always wanted to give this a try when visiting back home! The problem is that it's always so crowded it's been hard to ever try it. I can finally understand why The Goat has been so packed, and man am I glad I've finally gotten a chance to taste it out. The location is small, but is packed with a great vibe. The only downside is how small the location is because of how many people want to be eating here at all times. However, we walked in on a Sunday night and were able to be seated right away for a table of 6 at about 5:45pm. The menu includes many great apps, sandwiches, salads but what I was mostly intrigued by was the Detroit style pizzas. I went with the hot & honey Detroit pie, added on some caramelized onions. Wow wow wow. If you're looking for that sweet & spicy flavored pizza- this is it. The jalapeños add just enough heat, the crust is perfection, and don't even get me started on the house made marinara. This pie rounded out as one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Was it stacked with my day's worth of calories? Probably- but I had half of it left to take home with me at the end of the meal! My family also started out with the garlic parm and the sweet & spicy wings. Highly recommend both & the amount of wings is great for the price you pay. Both sauces were excellent and I can assure you that no wing went uneaten. Our server was attentive, was patient with the child at our table, and all around friendly! She let us know they were short staffed but the service once would have never made us think that had she not told us. I cannot wait to come back here again and try many of the other pies, seriously I don't think you can go wrong with any one you pick!

Yelp
Have been told many times to check this place out and finally made it in. Was a quick stop so I had two pour's of Woodford Reserve while waiting for my buffalo wings (to go) to be prepared. In total it was just under $30 which I thought was totally fair. The wings were large and had a nice crunchy exterior and moist and juicy interior. Hot Buffalo sauce was solid and they make their own blue cheese which was also quite good. I'll definitely be back to try out the pie's! The Goat Pub and Pie - Didn't Suck!

Deanna B.

Yelp
I don't usually leave reviews but this place was FANTASTIC. It was mine and my partners first time going. I got the chicken cheesesteak which was absolutely to DIE for, and the Nola and Tays cocktail. Very refreshing with the mint and just so so tasty overall. My partner got the friend chicken sandwich which she thought was very good. The vibes inside were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Very clean bathroom as well! I'm from upstate NY but whenever I come to PA I will be coming here again!!! Well done job!!

Yelp
Excellent pizza! Good service at a reasonable price! Gets busy, but service does not suffer

Yelp
Great food ! Always have something new and different to try ! Always delicious! Servers are also always so nice and seem to enjoy what they are doing

Yelp
Great Detroit style pizza's and service. The onion rings are amazing. Will keep going back to try different pizzas.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing ... fresh, delish & original take on how to make everyday day items mock your socks off! Great service tops off this review!

Joseph B.

Yelp
Pizza wasn't as good as I thought...other items was good....the warm apple pie was very good
google avatar

Cassie C.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! We sat at the bar, and we were impressed by their specialty cocktails, as well as their selection...we split the traditional pie with mushrooms. It was delicious!!! The staff were great which definitely made the atmosphere enjoyable. We are happy to have a great local spot to go to!
google avatar

Yelp
Very cool place. My wife wanted pie so we stopped in. She found out it was pizza. So we had pizza. I don't know why she thought pie and beer would be a thing but she did. I recommend giving it a try. See what you think.
google avatar

Eileen S.

Yelp
The Goat Pub & Pie is AMAZING. Wonderful service and awesome vibe inside. The pizza is incredible. Pictured here is "the GOAT pie" which was so delicious. They have a great cocktail list as well as 10ish beers on draft. There is bar seating and can fit only a few tables for 5+ more people. Can't wait to try more of their menu items soon!
google avatar

Yelp
I had never been to the GOAT before but I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. It was pretty good food. So we left happy The Goat is a bar and restaurant, about half the area is for the bar, the other half is restaurant seating. The food is a mixture of pub food like burgers abs sandwiches and pizza. I had the cheesesteak, it was good but not the best in the area. They say the pizza is Detroit style, think a much better version of pan pizza from Pizza Hut. The buffalo chicken pizza was better than average, but not the best I had. The restaurant was a full house when we were here, even with that the staff was nice and friendly. The service was quick and efficient. My only real complaint is the parking lot is way too small and oddly shaped, and the entrance is oddly hard to find. Overall a good place to go for a meal, but not quite a 5 star dining experience.

John L.

Yelp
The food was fantastic at the GOAT at lunchtime today. My wife's GOAT burger was cooked medium rare just like she asked it to be. My mozzarella sticks were very good and my cheesesteak was very good and very filling. We highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area.
google avatar

Debra D.

Yelp
I spent $30.00 plus for a pizza and wings take out. My pizza was very greasy went through the box it was in plus not even cooked properly. Meaning the dough was kinda raw. When I got home I literally dump it in the garbage. I have eaten here in the pass and it was yummy. Don't know what happened but at that price I can get a crispy pizza elsewhere.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
We just had lunch at The Goat today for the first time because we keep hearing great things and it did not disappoint! The drinks were AMAZING. We sat at a high top by the bar and our server was fantastic! I had the Death Before Decaf Martini and The Ella and my husband had the #adulting by Evil Genius and they were all delicious! We had the fried mozzarella as the app and I was expecting just your normal mozz sticks but they were triangles and the flavor..... INSANE. We were shocked by the amount of flavor a fried mozzarella app had and the sauce was 10/10. I tried the pie of the month the "Italian hoagie pie" and omggggg if you like Italian hoagies you NEED to try this! So much flavor & so delicious!! My husband got the 700 Main Pie and it was also amazing!! 1000/10 for this place and a must go!!

Wendy F.

Yelp
On a rainy Friday we arrived and the free parking was welcomed. The waitress was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was very good. We had pizza, wings, cheesesteak, artichoke sandwich, deep fried onion rings and the apple crisp. Only complaint, a bit too noisy. Hard to have conversation across the table. Cost of pizza a bit pricy. Would definitely return!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
Second trip was just as good as the first. The wings were amazing and the current drink special is incredible!
google avatar

Maryann D.

Yelp
The food is spectacular here; the atmosphere matches high level cafe or restaurant ambience. I really like the way that they make their goat pizza. I'm really highly highly delighted by the combination of goat cheese, and other delicious flavors. I was surprised at how casual the atmosphere is. It feels like a quiet time with your family and good food. Please go as soon as you can. You'll really love this place.
google avatar

Jd H.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. Every time I've walked through the door I have been blown away! Highly, highly recommended. I can say enough about the pie, mozz, and wings. The maple Old Fashion was delicious and plentiful. Thank you and will for sure be back.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with friends. I had a cheesesteak and it was really good. Decent size and the fries were good as well. My friend had a salad which looked delicious but the house made Ranch dressing was not good at all. It was really thick and tasted like sour cream and really bland. The drinks were okay but nothing special. My margarita came in a really odd and tiny glass. I think they need to get some new glasses. I wish the menu had a little more. Half of the menu was pizza's. The parking lot had plenty of places and it was clean and looked nice on the inside. My friends did complain about a musty smell and the service was okay. She was really nice but could have checked on us a little bit more often. I would come back here and recommend giving this place a try.

Susan R.

Yelp
I don't want you to eat here. I want to save it all for myself. This was a great place to have a beer and some "bar" food to celebrate my birthday. I don't want fancy, I want great food and a great playlist. Yay, I found it here! Service was on point and helpful but not over bearing. Can't wait to try the Oreo grilled cheese for dessert next time!
google avatar

Samantha M.

Yelp
Was craving a cheesesteak and they had exactly what I needed. The cheesesteak cake was fries and was delicious. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich was alright - we agreed mine was a bit tastier. It was super easy to order for takeout over the phone and there is ample parking!
google avatar

Tas H.

Yelp
The pizza and cauliflower wings were excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely looking forward to another visit the next time we are in the area!

Diane C.

Yelp
I totally love the Detroit Pizza . All food is excellent . Only problem I have, the sauce has changed on the pizza. It has become strong tasting My theory is ,it may be on the stove cooking to long. Dark rec color is a sign of over cooked sauce. Was not like that in the beginning. I will hope for a change. Be because I love everything else about the pizza.
google avatar

Kyle G.

Yelp
Best Philly cheesesteak in the Valley. This Philly kid knows. On par with the best of the Illadelph. Bread-spongy, they slightly toast. Meat to cheese ratio is perfect. I wanted to take pics but my phone was dead.
google avatar

Jim W.

Yelp
My wife decided to have an early dinner/late lunch. Pulled in the parking lot and it was filled at 2pm on a Saturday! Circled back and a sppt opened up. Warm atmosphere very cozy and friendly. I decided on the Buffalo Pizza. All sauces are made in house including the blue cheese. The flavors were well layered. The hot buffalo sauce was hot enpugh to make my nose run but perfect hot for me. I think there is adobe sauce in hot sauce it was dark and rich. The blue cheese and chives on top worked well! Very filling tooknhalf home for a snack later. My wife had the Goat cheeseburger and said it the best burger ever. Will be back!

Alfonso F.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich was top notch had a good crunch and the bread was soft and buttery I also had the brisket Mac and it wasn't anything to really right home about unfortunately, service was good called over the phone and when I got there walked inside and got my food and left, the inside was nice the outside had plenty of parking.
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
You don't come here for the ambience and you certainly don't come for the parking. But, if you are hungry, this is your place. They serve Detroit style pizza (which I learned in pizza served in a tray on a fake newspaper). Most are meaty but there are two vegetarian options and both are excellent. The pizza is very filling and I am sure not healthy. But, this place delivers when you are in the mood for comfort food. No reservations so we arrived early (four of us) on a Saturday night. Arriving at 5, we were seated around 5:30 and had food by 6 pm. It was a steady stream of customers so be prepared to wait. But, I think it is worth it. The parking lot is large but has an odd shape and is not the easiest to maneuver in. Service was friendly and efficient. In addition to pizza there are sandwiches and wings but why? The pizza rules.
