"Not to be confused with the iconic dive bar in East Dallas, this Goat is up Uptown and serves far, far fancier Euro-Mediterranean fare. Drop by brunch to enjoy the sharable chicken waffle board (truly a highlight and a genius brunch idea), a ribeye sandwich, or a dish it calls the Mixed Grill which features Lebanese-style chicken and kafta skewers with rice, grilled vegetables, hummus, and pita bread." - Courtney E. Really beautiful ambiance with good music flowing in the background. I enjoyed brunch here with friends. Everything we had was really good. Our favorite cocktail was Garden of Temptation it was a good time in a glass, sweet and relaxing not to mention it arrives in fire literally. Service was timid, slow at times but over all a good time. I would definitely make reservations because it gets pretty busy. Great for photos and just really grown and sexy vibes.

This was the worst dining experience I’ve had, maybe ever. I came to the GOAT for a birthday dinner (14 people). When we arrived, the table was not ready for some time. Once we were seated, the drinks were ordered pretty quickly & that was the last time the service was decent. The food orders came out at different times & one couple didn’t receive their steaks for almost 30-40 minutes after everyone else’s food arrived. One of the steaks received was very small & the waiters did bring out another one at no charge, so that was nice (see photo). After we finished dinner, we had to run around the restaurant asking for water refills & small plates for the birthday cake we brought (for the birthday party). This is because our waitress disappeared for about an hour & one of the party guests had to find a jug of water to give us refills. During all of this, there were dancers behind us (which was fine), but the manager came out several time to check on them, but never once asked if we were doing well. This was on a Saturday night & the place was mainly empty & several waitresses were standing around on their phones. I have truly never had a dining experience like this & I’m not sure how this place is being operated. Overall, the experience is not one I’d come back for & the food is just mediocre + overpriced. 1 pro: The drink with the rubber duck is cute.

We were excited to go here. It was our date night and I actually found this place on Instagram. It was very disappointing to find out that when we got there at 7:45 PM they were already out of scallops. They don’t have a lot of options on the menu, it was hard to find alternative options, so I went with the lamb chops, which I always get the medium, but for some reason they were undercooked and they didn’t even ensure that the fat was rendered off one of the chops. it’s so dark in the restaurant. You can barely even see your food or even read the menu. the lobster appetizer was a waste of money why take perfectly good lobster and fry it. It was rubbery and overcooked. of course, the prices of the cocktails are overpriced and cost as much as an appetizer, and they were subpar. The service is good and the atmosphere was OK. I don’t know if we will be back.

I went here on a Sunday for a birthday dinner. We were the first ones there. I’m not sure if people just don’t know about this place or we were way too early. But the ambience is so intimate and beautiful. They didn’t have a great selection of food options. Typically when restaurants do this they are able to really perfect the small selection they have. I would go back but not for the food. It does have a second floor but I didn’t go up there.

The atmosphere at The GOAT is both stylish and welcoming, blending modern decor with a cozy ambiance. Upon being seated, we were greeted by our waitress, Cameron, who provided outstanding service throughout the evening. Her warm personality and extensive knowledge of the menu made our first experience with Mediterranean cuisine both enjoyable and memorable. 🍽️ The standout dish of the night was the “Sicilian Dreams.” The flavors were vibrant and beautifully balanced, showcasing the best of what Mediterranean cuisine has to offer. We also enjoyed a creative selection of bubble cocktails that added a fun and refreshing element to our meal. 🍹 The “Dynamic Shrimp” appetizer was another highlight—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. 🍤 The GOAT in Dallas exceeded my expectations. From the excellent service to the flavorful dishes, it was a fantastic introduction to Mediterranean cuisine. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, The GOAT is a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience in Dallas. 👏 ** I'm an emoji Google local guide in DFW areas if you want more reviews, don't forget to follow my account. @chloechoe_INC 😊 **

It was my first time dining at The GOAT, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. In celebration of my birthday, I indulged in a delectable dessert and a delightful waffle board, both of which were highly recommended, made, and presented by Pastry Chef Erick. The food was simply exquisite, and the exceptional service provided by Gandley made the entire experience truly memorable. This establishment truly set the tone for a wonderful birthday celebration. I highly recommend The GOAT, and I give it a perfect rating of 10 out of 10.

Ambience was very nice. Food was very good. Flat breads and felafels are excellent. Cocktails are a hit or miss. Some are really sweet. My favorite was the cold brew martini - perfectly balanced.

The Goat is a good chill spot for a date night, pre-game to a Stars/Mavs game, or just kick it. We had our anniversary dinner here and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The food was average at best. The rib-eye was a bit over cooked and lacked flavor. The salmon was cooked perfectly but was bland. There were only 4 options for sides, and the truffle fries seemed like the best option, and they were pretty good! The dynamite shrimp were good also. The best part of our time here was their version of a smoked old fashion called Goated (I substituted my choice of whiskey to Woodford). I will come back just for that drink . Definitely my top 3 old fashions in the DFW area! Overall, it's a good location to have a great time with family and/or friends.

Yelp
Foodie Alert! I recently discovered a gem that is perfect if you're in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine. For all you Mediterranean food lovers, you must visit The GOAT Restaurant and Lounge. It's located in the heart of Downtown Dallas' Victory Park area. This restaurant offers great service with a sophisticated and modern atmosphere along with internationally-inspired dishes and cocktails. They also serve brunch on weekends! It's definitely a must-visit. Be sure to check them out and tell them Ms. Hope sent you!

Tyria J.

Yelp
The food was decent, but there were some serious issues with both service and quality. The steak bites and truffle fries were the highlight of the meal, but unfortunately, by the time my fries arrived, I had already finished my steak. The restaurant was almost empty, yet it still took too long for us to be greeted and seated. The server was more focused on taking shots with her family than attending to the customers. We had to wait forever for basic things like water refills. Honestly, I almost walked across the street to a different place because it was clear that this restaurant has some serious kinks to work out. My husband ordered the scallops risotto with added chicken, but the scallops were a major disappointment--white as the rice with no sear at all. And to top it off, there was no chicken. He really wanted to stay for our anniversary, but after all the issues, I would've rather gone to Taco Bell! So I'm writing this review while I'm waiting patiently for more water. Hopefully someone will see this soon because I'm parched! The bartender who had to come from behind the bar to seat us was kind enough to come from behind the bar to refill our water, after I asked. They also remade my husband's risotto and it was a day and night difference! It was really good. I'm not rushing to come back, but maybe in a few months once they've worked out the "new" kinks. I gave them 2 stars initially but I'll give them 3 for my husband. They did validate our parking but it would have been nice for a tiny discount on our ticket after the wait and remake!!! I'm convinced our sever was the hostess stepping in. She can have a pass cause you could tell she had zero server experience. Overall the food we had was good enough to take home. We'd return to the bar, possibly sooner, due to the great drink!

Elellta T.

Yelp
I heard about this place from a friend who spotted it on one of those Dallas restaurant Instagram pages. Honestly, I found it to be a bit overhyped. The atmosphere is your typical trendy restaurant, complete with party lights and a DJ playing house mixes. It was also surprisingly empty for a Saturday night. The service and food were just okay. We had drinks and appetizers while waiting for another dinner reservation. The goat margarita was decent, and the baked goat cheese was mediocre definitely had better. One interesting thing was that they had a photographer taking group photos. He came back with two framed copies and offered to sell them for $40, which felt a bit unusual, so we passed on that. Overall, it was an OK experience, and I probably won't go back.

Yelp
A couple of girlfriends and I came here for Sunday brunch to check it out since it's new. There were maybe 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. Yet our drinks took 30+ minutes and food took over an hour to come out. Drinks were good but the food was horrible. I ordered the classic breakfast (toast, eggs and sausage - but because they only have links, I substituted for chicken tenders). Toast was nasty. I don't know what type of bread they used but how do you mess up toast?? Bread is NEVER nasty, but somehow, this place found a way to make it nasty. Chicken was so bland. Tasted like oil and flour. I cleared my sinuses with the amount of hot sauce I added to the chicken, and still only finished one piece. The best thing were my eggs. My girlfriends both ordered the chicken pita. They took 2 bites and just gave it back to the waiter. They said it had no taste and hated that fries were stuffed inside of it. Also, why is the place called The Goat??? There's nothing great on the menu and the only "goat" I saw on the menu was an omelette with goat cheese on it. I won't be surprised if this place is closed within a year. Go take pictures there, because the inside is beautiful. But DO NOT eat here.

Beth A.

Yelp
We came here for a weeknight late dinner, and we had reserved through OpenTable but the restaurant wasn't busy at the time we went in. The inside is well decorated, trendy but a bit dark. The staff was friendly and efficient with our waters always filled and plates cleared, and the food came out quickly. The food portions were large, and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The total for 2 people with an appetizers, two entrees and side to share with dessert was about $130. They do include a 3% service charge.

Maggie L.

Yelp
first time visit, but certainly not the last. Excellent customer service by everyone especially Jonathan and the owner. Beef tenderloin, wrap, and chicken salad croissant were excellent.

May M.

Yelp
The service was very underwhelming. We came on a Saturday night with reservations for our group but it was empty. Yet it took forever for any of the staff members to come by when there was at least 6 or 7 of them standing around chatting. Food and cocktails were mediocre at best...Wine selection is limited. Most likely not returning.

Yelp
The GOAT was recommended via a friend who knows the owner if it weren't for her I would have never known about this gem! Figured we would help a friend out and try this new spot right before we went to an event at AAC. Nestled in the heart of Victory Park, The GOAT offers a delightful journey through Mediterranean flavors. Our group opted to do appetizers for the table to share. We ordered the dynamite shrimp, hummus with pita, lobster oreganata, and the baked goat cheese. This was the perfect amount for a group of 5 ladies. Table favorites were the shrimp, lobster, and goat cheese! We paired our apps with the cold brew espresso martinis and the GOAT marg. While the margarita was delicious, I wouldn't recommend pairing with this style of cuisine, our mistake. Their drink menu was extensive with so many options so I will have to return and try a different cocktail! Our server was very attentive, and the staff helped with menu recommendations as well. They seemed to have knowledge of the menu and that aided in our dining experience. The owner even came to our table to check on us. I LOVE when the owners or management take the time to check on their tables! I would recommend this spot for a girl's night or a fun date night! Looking forward to our next visit for more of the baked goat cheese. YUM!

Yelp
This restaurant and bar hasn't been open long and it is in the heart of Uptown and Victory Park. The name might lead you to think it is a casual sandwich kind of place - it is not! It is an upscale establishment for drinks, appetizers and dinner. From the decor to the Mediterranean inspired cuisine - the ambiance is definitely upscale. Don't let the exterior fool you - it is much larger than you would assume when you walk past it. The restaurant has a second floor balcony overlooking the first floor. The wait staff are professionally dressed and efficient. The music is contemporary DJ inspired background music. I had excellent appetizers of DYNAMITE SHRIMP and Mixed Grill. Both were great. We will return soon for dinner. It is a great addition to Uptown.

LaToya A.

Yelp
The decor is modern and on a hot day the cold air was definitely welcomed. I lunched here on a day before a holiday and it was not busy at all. The service was fine. I ordered the paella and they were able to make it gluten free by eliminating the sausage. The flavor of the paella was good but the texture of the rice was a bit different. Not bad, just unexpected. I'd love more indications on the menu of what is gluten free or friendly and for the waitstaff to be more aware as well. I'd likely try this place again but can't say it would be a go to for me at the moment, mainly because it was difficult maneuvering to find the parking garage entrance and the restaurant itself once I parked.

Nisha L.

Yelp
It was really great. Drinks were strong. Burgers were great... I may say one of the best burgers I've had in Dallas. Service was quick. I would return!

Dennis M.

Yelp
I love this place! Great spot for brunch with great options for food. The service here is always amazing and the food is amazing! At night the place is a party so definitely go back in the evening on a weekend!Great place to go if you are in the area and want some good food!

Beryl D.

Yelp
Food looks really good. We mistook this place for a hangout and it was definitely just giving place to eat vibes lol we asked for a side car. Granted it was off menu, it was disgusting and expensive. Bartenders were nice. Although I didn't enjoy my drink, I definitely want to come back to dine.

Savitri B.

Yelp
The GOAT Restaurant and Lounge is a great find! With a former Michelin star chef at the helm, their Lebanese and Mediterranean-inspired menu is a great date night find. The ambience is dark and romantic, great cocktails and good food. The steak bites are a big hit and a favorite among the staff. The beef kafta is perfectly seasoned and a good mix of flavors. They take their liberties, as every restaurant does, so preparation may not be "traditional," if that's what you're aiming for. But if you're looking for a good meal and a couple good cocktails within walking distance to other hot spots, this is a solid choice.

LaQueita A.

Yelp
Food , service , ambiance... check! Everything was flavorful and gorgeously plated. I had so much fun and will definitely be back ! This place is perfect for brunch! I'm a fan! Besides parking being deceiving (states free parking with validation ) but we ended up paying full price .. that wouldn't stop me from coming back ! Edit : still no refund on parking

Ana A.

Yelp
The food was ok but the service was horrible. My appetizer was cold. I had to ask for my glass of wine 6x before I got it and I was almost done with my dinner. Only one waiter and poor guy needed help. The host wasn't even Friendly. Never going back again. Me and my friends were so disappointed

Dirk S.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday night and had very good experience. Atmosphere 10/10: lights Dim and DJ goes on at around 8pm. Service 10/10: Drinks 9/10: very good drinks that are creative. A little on the higher end at $18ish a drink Food: 8/10 Dynamite shrimp and goat chesse 10/10 Brussel sprouts 7/10 (missing some flavor) Truffle fries 8/10 Scallop Risotto 10/10 (scallops were huge and more risotto then most places) Chicken kababs 6/10 (taste was very good but $22 for 4oz of chicken and a 1/4 cup of rice is wild. You got a bigger portion of scallops and risotto...for the item with the cheapest food cost, I was expecting a bigger portion) Something Chocolate dessert 7/10 (creative and taste was descent. For being the signature dessert, it didn't blow me away, but was alright) Baklava cheesecake 7/10 (huge portion, but was lacking flavor In the cheesecake itself. It was just the pastry instead of crust. Having gotten this at some Greek restaurants and it being the reason I go back, it was a disappointment here) Overall it was a good experience, and I would go back. I do hope in time they fix the portion on the kebabs and revisit the dessert recipes. Until then, I would pass on dessert when I go back

Kelley P.

Yelp
The food was "slap yo mama" good! Every bite was a mouth explosion! The service was rolling out the red carpet type service! The entertainment was so lovely We'll be back soon because we want more...

Charles O.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and ambience. Went on a Friday night for drinks and watch the game, but ended up staying for the lounge. They had a live dj with saxophone player. Which saxophone player walked around and interacted with the crowd, which was very entertaining. Liked the place so much ended up going back Saturday night and had the food, it was really good! We did family style and had a little bit of everything. The Lobster Organata, baked goat cheese, Tomahawk and goat burger was super delicious. Couldn't really say we had anything bad, but definitely worth checking out. We'll definitely be back.

Maria D.

Yelp
Our server Latrell was very nice and gave us some good recommendations in regards to food and drinks. The food was very good! Full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The shrimp appetizer was delicious. I have the scallop & mushroom risotto, which was tasty but for the price of the dish i was expecting more food, there was only 3 scallops but they were pretty large. The music was pretty loud but they had a live DJ playing upstairs which was pretty cool.

Jesmin N.

Yelp
We had mixed feelings about this place. Ambience is over all nice, good music. Menu is decent but limited. We liked the baked goat cheese appetizer. The falafel was flavorful as was the tabbouleh salad. The pita that comes with the falafel could have been warmed, it would have made the dish better. The mushroom risotto with scallops was good. The flatbreads were underwhelming and soggy. Service started off good but went down hill a bit. Our server looked overwhelmed with her section, and the hostess that greeted us wasn't listening to us as we were talking - or she couldn't hear us because the music is so loud you have to yell to hear the person next to you.

Mack S.

Yelp
Fantastic new restaurant located in Hart of downtown Dallas. Rudy and his team do a great job. You can't go wrong. Make sure you try to go cheese!

Damien D.

Yelp
Fantastic scenery, food, and cocktails. The perfect mix. We had the Kafta and Chicken kebab. Top notch. Service is friendly and fast.

Anna B.

Yelp
GREAT food, drinks and service! Don't even get me started on how beautiful this place is!! Wow!! Want to impress someone?? Bring them with confidence to this amazing place where you will have trouble deciding what dish was best! We had almost the entire menu at our table and the conversation was mostly "ya gotta try a bite of this"!! Staff is super welcoming and friendly too, which is huge!! Enjoy and thank me later!

Melissa A.

Yelp
So I never write any sort of review ever but I needed to here. I am sitting at the bar listening to their general manager and their assistant managers not only making fun of women but mocking them with their intention toward the women that work there. To say I'm disgusted would be an understatement. Honestly I have never seen such mangers neglect the customers in my life. They don't talk to you or ask you how your experience is unless they think you have money. Also that's so disappointing since I live right next to this place. I should've listened to the rest of my building that this place was not good.

Kristie C.

Yelp
We had 4 drinks and our tab was $321. We were shocked. They charge $72 per SHOT of Don Julio 1972. I have never in my life ever experienced this tequila to be that much. It's normally $42-$50 max. Then they charged us 3% service charge when we were just sitting at the bar. Shocked and will never go back.

Hooshang G.

Yelp
Nothing really Mediterranean about this place. Service was great but food is mediocre at best. Didn't get a chance to see what happens upstairs. Perhaps drinks next time.

Deirdre J.

Yelp
Grown and sexy vibes with beautiful view. My friends and I enjoyed all the things we ordered. Larger portions and great pricing for what you get. The cocktails were really good as well and I recommend The Garden Of Temptation if you like sweet drinks. Great time out with friends and your sure to impress your date as well.

Camila P.

Yelp
Don't let the social media fool you. Not fresh food and service is horrible. I do not recommend

Susie O.

Yelp
Beautiful place, atmosphere and excellent food! Perfect for Dallas and we need something new!

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Came to celebrate my birthday here and it was a horrible experience. Our order was wrong from the beginning (appetizer), my friends entree was also wrong, our waters were not refilled; we had to request refills multiple times, our entree was cold, our sides came out late, I was actually surprised the manager did not do a walk through and check on our table so I can express my concerns, the food was ok, very limited and it wasn't really Mediterranean. If you park in the garage, just know it's $25. The list goes on. Please go somewhere else for a celebration.

Cole B.

Yelp
We went here for a work dinner and let's just say I would never come back. The place was absolutely dead (granted it was a Tuesday evening). Key takeaways: 1. The waitress went to begin taking our orders, in which we told her we were not ready as we were still waiting for additional members of our party to arrive. She said "well you need to order now if you want your food because I have another ten top too." .... us and that ten top were the only tables in the restaurant.. btw the ten top was actually only seven. 2. The waitress sat down in the booth and in seats at the table as she took our orders, as well as when she was cashing us out. Granted she was in high heels so I imagined her feet hurt, but that's just unprofessional and also maybe don't have your staff wear heels? 3. We had to flag a staff member for more water probably 15 different times. Absolutely no attention to detail. 4. Super average food to be priced that much.. The lobster appetizer tasted like shrimp. Brussel sprouts were good. Red snapper was below average for the price. Goat Margarita was average. 5. When using the restroom, the lights went off so I had to use my phone light.... They were the type of lights that are sensor activated, but the sensor did not extend to the stalls... 6. The interior wad beautiful and trendy - gave a Miami feel.

Pamela O.

Yelp
This has to be one of the worst dining experience I've ever had. Service was terrible, food was gross. My friends and I were so excited to try this place as it was the "grand opening". I had friends visiting from out of town and even made reservations for the special occasion. Shout out to ROB for being an amazing bouncer/security. 1.) As we were seated, it took the server more than 15 minutes to greet us. And the lounge was not busy at all. Reservation was at 10PM. The hostess didn't check on us either and was just standing over the podium. 2.) Our server didn't say hi how are y'all, is it your first time etc.. first thing that came out of her mouth was "Do y'all want water?" And we had to tell her we're ready to order. Still no introduction or explanation of the menu or welcoming us. This is not how you treat customers yet alone if it was a grand opening weekend 3.) We ordered a couple of appetizers for the table, truffle fries, steak bites and dynamite shrimp. It was okay. At least it was seasoned. The grossest food was the steak, the ribeye. It didn't have any seasoning on it and tasted bland. It was disgusting. We felt like we were back in high school eating Applebees with the quality. 4.) We sent the steak back and when it returned it just turned out to be salty and we ordered a sauce with it and it never returned with the steak. The server never returned either to check on us til it was time for us to just go ahead and close out. 5.) "The executive chef" went out and took a peek at our table but never talked to us. To add on, I believe one of the managers talked to us and asked how we were doing and I said no, we had to take the steak back and the excuse was oh it is just grand opening and we still have some stuff to address and fix... 6.) we weren't compensated or discounted for anything which is fine but come on. Advertising as a luxury brand type of lounge is ridiculous. 7.) Server didn't say goodbye or anything either. Waters were not refilled and plates were not removed from the appetizers. 8.) overall rating experience is a 0/5!

Missy W.

Yelp
The Goat, conveniently located to where I live, the ambiance was not and service was good. I dined at this establishment over the weekend as I had a friend in town. We had 6pm reservations. We ordered a couple of appetizers, falafel and kibbe meatballs. I thought the falafels were fried or cooked a little too hard for my liking. My friend enjoyed the kibbe. We also had the goat cheese granny salad in which we both enjoyed. I ordered the red snapper for my entree. The fish was light and nicely seasoned. Overall, I thought the food was good, room for improvement but it's newly opened and will come over time.

Timothy A.

Yelp
The space is amazing and there is hope that it will improve over time. However, the service was subpar at best. Our party waited long stretches for water, food, drinks, etc. There was only one table receiving quality service, the family and friends of the owner. Hopefully they get it together going forward.

Mike H.

Yelp
Just came in for cocktails and were basically ignored. Table for 2 stuck in the middle of the room was wobbly. "Craft" Paloma was just okay...certainly not worth the premium price.

Lisette E.

Yelp
Food was good, I had the Basil Pesto Rigatoni with chicken. The service was definitely something that stood out, not in a good way. There was one waiter for the night and the guy was struggling. Nice guy, seemed like he was being worked pretty rough. We were a party of three, we started off with water but we were missing a cup for one person and we had to remind the waiter several times for a cup of water. One person ordered wine and she also had to ask for that several times before it was brought which was in the middle of her half eaten meal. We received the wrong appetizer. One of the orders was asked to have no protein and it was brought out with protein. A different order was asked to have chicken and it was brought with shrimp instead. The water was requested to be refilled multiple times because he kept forgetting to come back. The place was clean and very pretty set up, there was live music and the gentleman singing/playing was very talented, we enjoyed the music. The service needs improvement immensely. Not to mention, parking was $25 at the garage. Will not be returning. Not a good place to celebrate anyone's birthday which is what we were there for.

Luke S.

Yelp
Wow! Fantastic food, great service, fun ambiance, and lively entertainment. Staff was super friendly! I recommend the Goat Flatbread and the lobster appetizer. This location is a great location for both a dinner date and also a lounge experience with friends and/or said date. Will definitely be back

Mandi G.

Yelp
We came in on a Saturday night, 25 minutes prior to closing. Usually we don't do that, but this night it just worked out this way. We know it's not the most ideal, we tip extra and know what we want to order before coming in. We walked in, and over the period of 10 minutes, 4 employees looked right at us, and looked away. Visibly annoyed. We stayed by the doors waiting to be seated for 10 minutes and not a single person helped us. There was maybe 5 other customers in there. Employees Just looked at us and looked away. We know this situation isn't ideal- 25 min prior to closing. But it was a Saturday night, and the bar across the street was PACKED (which is where we were headed) They should be MILKING weekend nights with their location. As an owner I would be so disappointed in the employees. They're ruining your business. The employees made us feel so uncomfortable we ended up leaving after about 10 minutes. Definitely not a good look.

Anthony E.

Yelp
This place has it all! Great spot for date night or hanging out with friends. Their cocktails could be the best in town! No wonder this place is called the Greatest Of All Texas

Andrew T.

Yelp
I had a really great time at the GOAT! New place that was fancy, clean, and a great nightlife atmosphere. Partied there all night until close. The house drinks were strong and delicious. Definitely come check this place out for a fun night. Food was really good too. Try that dynamite shrimp out! You won't be disappointed...
