We recently celebrated our wedding at The Golden Ball, and put simply, it was perfection. Our guests commented on the exquisite food, the fantastic ambience and the attentive staff. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our day one to remember, your attention to detail was second to none.

First visit this week and it was fantastic. We sat in the lovely garden, the ladies serving us were polite and attentive. You know the food will be good when the bread and butter is stunning but the food we had was great. We thought for what we had it was great value

What an amazing find. Our entire table concluded this was the best meal we've had all year, and we had all just returned from a summer in Europe. Everything we ate was 10/10, especially the venison, crab, and quail. The flavours were exceptional and the service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere is very cozy - a proper country pub but with truly outstanding food. Will definitely be back.

What an incredible find! Everything about this place is amazing. The food speaks for itself; such a clever menu with unique dishes. Great beers and small but perfect selection of wine. They’ve made a country pub feel incredibly special. The service was brilliant! 👏 👏

What a great find this was! We went for the tasting menu, one of us with the qine pairing. It was a very enjoyable experience all around. The food quality and service were 5 star plus but the price tag was very reasonable especially compared so some others in the area. Also the atmosphere and service was comfortable and relaxing, not formal for the sake of it like so many places that produce a product at this level. We will 100% be back...many times.

Mother's Day was made extra special by having lunch here. The food was exceptional. Delicious and full of flavour. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely touch was a glass of champagne for "the Mum"! I cannot recommend The Golden Ball highly enough .. there are not enough superlatives to do it justice. Bring your family and friends for the very best dining experience.

My husband and I had heard from a friend that they food at The Golden Ball was exceptional, so we booked a Saturday lunch to try it for ourselves. We opted for the set 3 course lunch menu. This started with warm, freshly baked bread rolls, accompanied by homemade butter and wild garlic butter - all of which was delicious. For our starter we both had mackrel, followed by pork chop for hubby and I had fish. It was incredible. Great flavours and generous portions. Dessert was equally delicious. Attentive, friendly staff. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
