I came here with my family and unfortunately some of my party was very late, however they were extremely accommodating. The food was amazing and so was the service. Both my starter and main was delicious with the monkfish being my absolute favourite. Thank you so much to the staff for being so hospitable and we will definitely be back for dinner some time.

I recently came here for lunch and it was amazing. I had the pig cheek to start which had a perfect balance flavours, and was incredibly tender! Then followed by the venison which was delicious. The side of venison neck massaman curry was to die for, beautifully spiced, perfect for the season. The staff were very attentive and the ambiance was also lovely.

First visit this week and it was fantastic. We sat in the lovely garden, the ladies serving us were polite and attentive. You know the food will be good when the bread and butter is stunning but the food we had was great. We thought for what we had it was great value

What an incredible find! Everything about this place is amazing. The food speaks for itself; such a clever menu with unique dishes. Great beers and small but perfect selection of wine. They’ve made a country pub feel incredibly special. The service was brilliant! 👏 👏

My husband and I had heard from a friend that they food at The Golden Ball was exceptional, so we booked a Saturday lunch to try it for ourselves. We opted for the set 3 course lunch menu. This started with warm, freshly baked bread rolls, accompanied by homemade butter and wild garlic butter - all of which was delicious. For our starter we both had mackrel, followed by pork chop for hubby and I had fish. It was incredible. Great flavours and generous portions. Dessert was equally delicious. Attentive, friendly staff. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an amazing find. Our entire table concluded this was the best meal we've had all year, and we had all just returned from a summer in Europe. Everything we ate was 10/10, especially the venison, crab, and quail. The flavours were exceptional and the service was incredibly attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere is very cozy - a proper country pub but with truly outstanding food. Will definitely be back.

Second time visiting- amazing food and very well priced set menu for the excellent quality of ingredients. Fantastic service with accommodating manager when we were late due to heavy traffic. We will be back!
