The 18 Best Restaurants In Margate - London - The Infatuation

"Like all good eggs, this Middle Eastern-inspired spot is cheerful and supremely likeable—plus a great place to get brunch classics. Just like its London siblings in Stoke Newington and Soho. You’ll sit down with a single thought in mind—eggs. But then treats on the counter catch your eye. Babka with a chocolate swirl, speckled, sesame pastries filled with feta, and gooey cookies. Get everything at The Good Egg. The skillet of shakshuka is a staple for a reason. A spoon of this with the punchy preserved lemon yoghurt, smeared on the fluffy pita is the perfect brunch bite. At this point you might be sinking back against the chalky pink walls, fit to burst, but get some counter treats for the road. " - Jake Oliver, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna, Rianne Shlebak

The Good Egg Margate - Review - Margate - London - The Infatuation

"Like all good eggs, this Middle Eastern-inspired Margate spot is cheerful and supremely likeable—plus a great place to get brunch classics. Just like its London siblings in Stoke Newington and Soho. You’ll sit down with a single thought in mind—eggs. But then treats on the counter catch your eye. Babka with a chocolate swirl, speckled, sesame pastries filled with feta, and gooey cookies. We can save you some time—get everything. The skillet of shakshuka is a staple for a reason. It’s a hashtag-no-filter combination of pink pickled onions, orange gooey eggs, and crispy, deep green capers. A spoon of this with the punchy preserved lemon yoghurt, smeared on the fluffy pita is the perfect brunch bite. At this point you might be sinking back against the chalky pink walls, fit to burst, but get some counter treats for the road. photo credit: Emily Hai" - Sinéad Cranna

What a Treat! We booked a table for 16 for brunch as part of my big birthday weekend celebrations, and The Good Egg absolutely delivered. From the moment we arrived, the service, food, atmosphere & overall vibe were just perfect. Despite being a large group, the team accommodated us seamlessly and with such warmth, the food was delicious — as always. We've been many times before and every visit is consistently spot on. A huge thank you to the entire team for making this “older gal” and her extended family leave with happy hearts & tummies! It was a true highlight of the weekend, right up there with the impromptu beach party that followed later! A ‘BIG THANKS’ to all the Team 😊

Such a great place we visited twice. The tahini and halva brownie is one of the nicest I've ever had - perfectly gooey with a beautiful flavour. The Babka French Toast is incredible to look at and tastes great, while the bacon and date pita is excellent for a more savoury brunch. My only regret is I didn't get to try the lamb shawarma hash (I saw one going to another table, and it looked great!).

The most delicious French toast I’ve ever had! Not too sweet either and the labneh and figs went with it so well. Hummus and pita were also yummy! Highly recommend. I advise you book a table for the weekend as gets busy

We visited Good Eggs in Margate with a group of 12 and had such a great time! Even with a big group, the food came out really fast and everything was spot on. The service was friendly and smooth, no complaints at all. The pita was especially tasty. Would happily come back next time we’re in town.

So lovely we cane twice in 24 hours! Great food, lovely staff, dog friendly. Reccomend the fish hash, lamb hash, and the filled pitas. Also the speed date smoothie is a glorious iced coffee alternative. The cucumber margaritas were banging!

Our family was in Margate on holiday and visited The Good Egg for lunch one day. The restaurant itself is very cheery and everyone who served us was very kind. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated! Best green shakshuka I've ever had!!! I also tried my daughter's babka french toast with cinnamon apples and it was amazing too!

Overall a nice place to get a light bite from. Would be good to have more variety of vegan options. Sadly a bit pricey for what's offered.

One of the best brunch places in the South East!! Delicious, fresh ingredients and food. The eggs are made really well. The portion sizes are absolutely massive too! Definitely recommend. We will be back!
