I’m going to get straight to the point here on why I’m giving a low rating, and then I’ll share the good stuff. I waited in line and paid $20 (after tax and tip, that’s chill) for an OG Burger and fries. I wasn’t given my paper receipt that I selected, but the lady at the bar gave me a thumbs up and a food buzzer.
I then proceeded to sit outside with my friends for forty minutes waiting for my food. It was super busy and I could see the guy at the pop-up stand this location uses for their burgers still working, so I didn’t assume anything bad. And then I saw how long it had been.
My friend took my buzzer inside to see what was going on, as I’m a disabled mobility aid user and was tired. They came back ten minutes later with a different staff member who informed me that they had sold out of the burgers and my food order was never actually given to the guy at the pop up stand.
He asked if I wanted something else or if I’d like a refund. I asked for a refund, and gave him the last four digits of my credit card to confirm the order since the lady at the bar hadn’t given me a receipt. He said the refund went through, and I asked for proof. He went inside to go grab the refund receipt, and came back saying their printer wasn’t working but that his boss was going to pull the record on the computer for me.
Boss came out ten minutes later (so I’ve been waiting officially an hour at this point, for nothing). He pulled my card on his laptop and showed me that they’d voided the transaction.
So uh, yeah. I will never be back here. As someone who has worked customer service (including food) my entire time in the workforce, I don’t understand how you can continue to sell anything without making sure you actually have it- and then leaving your customer to sit and wait. I have a lot of patience and I assured the guy that I wasn’t mad at him, but there’s no way I’ll ever give this place another chance because What In The First Impression was that.
Moving into location key points for anyone still interested in visiting:
2hr street parking nearby, no disability parking that I could spot. I parked about a block away and the sidewalks were clear and in good condition.
The area was well lit, inside and out. The interior ramp was actually really nice to access the restaurant- there were also some signs letting people know that playing and loitering on the disabled ramp would not be tolerated. Thank you for that!
There was plenty of space between interior tables. Unfortunately, the only menu is displayed behind the bar in small, bright, white font. You can’t read it until you’re there to order. I looked around for the 10min I was in line and didn’t see any sign of QR code menus or paper/laminated ones.
In terms of exterior seating accessibility- it’s not. Not at all. Good luck babe, truly. I had to ask every single person in the area to let me past to get to a table (inside was insanely loud and even if it hadn’t been, disabled people deserve to access the same areas as all other customers). Midway through getting to my table, I see that the area is split by a curb. My friends had to assist me getting to the table at that point due to my mobility aid.
I’m not sure if they have restrooms at this location or how accessible they are as that wasn’t on my mind this visit- my apologies for those who follow my reviews for accessibility reasons.
