The Gordon Bar Review - Soho - New York - The Infatuation

"Walk inside the Sixty Soho Hotel, go up a flight of stairs, and you’ll find a big, semi-hidden spot called The Gordon Bar. It’s a cocktail bar with big couches and coffee tables covered in coffee table books, and it’s perfect for when you need a nice spot in Soho to drink with a few clients or a couple of people who don’t go out that much anymore. Your drinks won’t be cheap, but you should be able to find a seat easily enough." - Bryan Kim

My flight was overbooked and I ended up spending an extra night in Eugene, and the airline booked me into the Gordon Hotel - the gate agent called it "the best hotel in Eugene." When I got into the taxi and I told them where I was going, the driver said "oh, that's the best hotel in Eugene." It was indeed a very nice hotel, with incredibly welcoming front desk staff, a chic atmosphere, and clearly very well maintained. My room was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and the mattress was astoundingly comfortable. I enjoyed dinner at the Gordon Tavern - both the mixed greens salad and mushroom pappardelle very excellent. ||||All in all, I wasn't expecting to spend the night in Eugene, and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable my experience at the Gordon Hotel was.

Had a great experience staying there as far as the customer service, and the property and room were very nice. However the cleaning needs to be a bit more thorough. We actually swept and wiped down tables in our room because the floor had quite a bit of debris on it and the coffee table and dining table were sticky. We really appreciate the upgrade for our room (we didn't even ask, they just upgraded us!) and how nice and helpful everyone who works there is. Only issue is there needs to be a bit more attention to detail with cleaning, especially for what you pay to stay here.

Such a fantastic hotel - unlike any others. Rooms are huge and beautiful with opening French doors and flowers on the balcony. The products in the bathroom smelled amazing. The service was top notch and everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly - the towels were really nice too!

I've stayed at this hotel three times and have been very pleased every time. The rooms are generously sized and feel clean and well-decorated, the decor throughout the hotel is always fun to see (tons of local art and installations at every turn) and their meeting rooms are very nice. It's a great balance of comfort, style and sophistication nestled in a highly walkable area.

I've always wanted to stay at The Gordon and on this past trip, an opportunity arrose! I was so relieved to have a comfortable place to relax, get a good night's sleep and probably the best hamburger I'd ever eaten. I loved my suite. I loved the lobby. You can't beat the location. I can't wait to stay again. Thank you very much.

I had dinner Saturday, May 10th for an early Mother's Day dinner celebration with my surrogate daughter. It was my first time being there. I definitely will be having other delicious meals there in the future. The service was excellent, professional and courteous. The meal was perfection. Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience. Visited for the Oregon Country Fair and stayed at the Gordon as the location was perfect for the other days we were in town. Disappointed we missed the speakeasy, but we’ll check it out next trip! Overall a great hotel and we’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Eugene.

Google
The Gordon Hotel worked well with our travel plans to stay conveniently downtown. This would be an ideal place if you wanted to forego a vehicle and wanted to be close to restaurants and activities.

Yelp
This hotel was outstanding - from start to finish, it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and super competent. They sent over a number of communications leading up to our visit letting us know about restaurants, policies, the courtesy shuttle, and more. The lobby is stunning and as you check in there's a valet for your vehicle. They check you in and then they give you a welcome drink. There's a space in the lobby that has free snacks and there are computers, comfy chairs, everything! They have multiple restaurants on site but there are a number of other options within walking distance. The area seems safe and was pretty clean. The hotel is pretty close to the University of Oregon campus too!

Yelp
Very nice hotel in downtown Eugene with many shopping, beverage & food options within walking distance. Welcome wine or beer and always available lobby snacks were a nice surprise. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and quiet. The Speakeasy was ok - the bartender wasn't that welcoming. The tavern had excellent food options at all meals. We would definitely choose The Gordon again when we return to Eugene!

Yelp
Great location, staff friendly and helpful. Front desk helped me with a print out of a parks pass. We were able to check in early since our room was ready. I really appreciated that since we were on a road trip and tired. We appreciated the free waters and snacks for guests. Cafes and restaurants right outside the door. Valet parking only, and your car is parked in another lot down the street. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again! Restaurant downstairs has great drinks and food!

Yelp
Went to the Gordon hotel for lunch yesterday and was very disappointed. Ordered the chop salad and the soup which was French onion. The chop salad was basically just a bunch of chopped up lettuce with four olives and possibly 10 tiny strips of salami -very underwhelming for the price. The French onion soup of which I am a connoisseur well all I can say is not ver good. I love this hotel and I thought it'd be a great place to bring my friend for lunch - the ambience is nice, the staff was great but I'll go somewhere else next time to eat.

Yelp
Had a lovely lunch on the outside patio here last week. The best part of it was my companion! Both of us had the garden salad which was replete with numerous seeds, like sunflower pumpkin and then of course the dried cranberries. There was a light citrus vinaigrette on it, almost to light, but it was very refreshing. I must say though, there was nothing outstanding about it. We also shared a fried calamari appetizer which was blah. Typical breading and spices of almost any calamari appetizer you can get in town. Again my companion was the best part, however sitting outside on the patio on a warm afternoon was delightful. So overall, the setting is lovely. the service excellent, but the food is mediocre, hence the three star rating.

Yelp
We had a great stay at the Gordon Hotel. I highly recommend them and will without a doubt be staying here again in the future. Dana was the BEST!!! Everyone was friendly, and helpful but Dana is who we met when we walked through the door. She lights this whole place up and made the best first impression of The Gordon. Check in was super quick and easy, and we were presented with an option for an on the house beer or wine tasting. Yes please! We both opted for the Pinot as this was really one of the main reasons we flew to Oregon (wine tasting). They were serving a J Scott Pinot and it was a very lovely welcome. We gave Dana the keys to our rental for Valet and then headed up to get ready for dinner with two Pinots in hand. I had my bestie run back down stairs a few minutes later because I needed a pair of scissors, he was back in a flash with them. Of course, Dana provided them with no questions asked and we returned on our walk to dinner. Everyone was really so friendly and helpful here. Later in the evening, we needed plates, utensils and a lighter for a birthday candle. All of which were secured with perfect ease. They also have FREE bottled water, beverages and snacks down stairs. Our room was nicely equipped with anything we needed. Robes, ice bucket, wine glasses, water, glasses, refrigerator, plenty of towels and more. We really couldn't have wanted for anything else on this visit, except maybe slippers ;) with the robes (which were very nice!) but I had packed us matching cozy holiday socks so we didn't need slippers on this visit. I can't wait to return, I feel there were a lot of aspects to the hotel that I didn't fully enjoy due to our lack of time at the actual hotel i.e. all of the gorgeous art work, the gym (I was taking a couple days off from my workouts, no days off lady needs a break now and again), their bar/restaurant and sitting areas with crafts/games. This was without a doubt a 5 STAR stay! Valet guys were also very nice and friendly. Check out was a breeze as well. My friend and I always split our rooms so we run two cards at check out, where we also asked for to-go utensils and we were promptly provided with them. Great location, we explored the area a bit - dining, shopping, having ice cream and more. Fantastic experience, we'll be back real soon!

Yelp
Had dinner with friends last night. Staff were awesome. Very friendly and courteous. I had the seared ahi. Served on lemon savored Cous Cous, with a lemon flavored sauce and pickled onions. It was delicious! My wife had the Marguerite pizza...we felt the sauce on that was so so....sorry. Although pretty expensive, we would definitely eat there again

Yelp
The hospitality is always great when we come here! We love the cold water and that our dog can get a bed of his own!

Yelp
My wife and I spent Christmas eve here and I'll say up front, it was charming. Valet parking only ($20) . We stayed in the king with terrace doors. Some of the amenities included a room safe, refrigerator and wine glasses. The hotel is relatively new and the room was nearly pristine. A very nice bonus is local paintings (in our room too) throughout. Each included a brief description of the work as well. The Tavern which is located on site was ok. I had the shrimp/pasta while my wife had the gnudi which she liked. I would advise checking the menu prior to reserving. The foyer was decorated nicely with a beautiful tree as well as decorative seasonal items. If you have kids, there is an art center to get their (or your) creative juices going. Located at the 5th street market, there are very nice shops to peruse. Forgot to mention there is a full bar as well. There are complimentary beverages..water, soda etc as well as a wine/beer upon arrival. All in all a very pleasant experience that I recommend.

Yelp
Our first stay, but won't be our last. The ambience of the hotel was amazing. The service and attention to customers was five stars! The location in downtown close to the Saturday market and other places is a plus. The hospitality, complimentary snacks, water, beer and wine was great.

Yelp
Chris at the art far is tremendous he knew exactly when we needed to be served. Takes a certain person to know what to do at a certain moment in the restaurant world. He exceeded my expectations. Not too bad to look at either.

Whitnie R.

Yelp
You saved us, Gordon. We moved to your hotel from another very-dirty hotel nearby. Everyone was so helpful and the room, service and food were all outstanding. Could have been a bad family weekend, but you turned it around for us. Thank you.

Yelp
The Gordon is amazing. The customer service is phenomenal, and it started WAY before we arrived. If I had a question, I called the front desk and it was asked and answered by a friendly agent. I got a pre arrival survey asking about my preferences, which we're honored (No big chain would ever do that). I received a call regarding my survey and follow up questions were asked (An actual phone call with a live human!). They offer free pickup from the EUG airport. Our driver tracked our flight and waiting for us when we arrived. He was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. The hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms are clean, modern and have a quiet and efficient heating and cooling unit. You can walk to several food and coffee places, but they have three great restaurants within the hotel (Bar 86 chicken sliders; SO GOOD) if you don't want to go anywhere. You don't have a phone in your room so if you need anything you simply select it on your iPad and it will show at your door the exact min you requested it (seriously. It said 1005p and the knock came exactly at 1005p). I wish all hotels had kind, motivated, happy, customer service oriented staff like this place. I don't know what they're paying these folks but they all deserve a raise. 10 out of 10 will absolutely recommend!

Yelp
We stayed in the "West Suite" ... it's not a suite ... it's a studio (one room). Ate at the Gordon Tavern in lobby of hotel ... good food (burger and fried chicken (though, fried chicken is set upon (really good) mashed potatoes and then covered in sriracha honey sauce and cole slaw ... chicken won't be crispy for long with that presentation) and service ... can't room charge (!) ... front desk and valet/bell staff friendly and helpful. Gratis snacks and beverages in lobby by front desk. Pros of room: large room; lots of light and windows; great soaking tub and separate shower; separate toilet closet; outdoor bar stools on narrow balcony; firm bed and nice pillows; nice smelling soap, shampoo and conditioner; sufficient space to put luggage. Small fridge and sink. Cons of room: vinyl floors damaged; no ambient lighting (no lamps, despite there being one in the website picture of the room ... which I only just now noticed ... I would have called the front desk for a lamp), and no dimmers - this is a big one for us, particularly at night - there's one switch for the multiple recessed lights, one switch for all lights in the bathroom, and the hip (yet stupid, to me) hanging edison bulb fixtures by the bed have only one switch on one side of the King bed and there are no shades ... the lights are TOO MUCH; no fan in the bathroom (which may be explains the puckering paint by the window).; no USB ports by the beds; hotel Wifi dropped consistently throughout our one night stay; bathroom tile looks like it needs a deep clean in places; chairs in front of fireplace are hip, but not real comfortable; sheets could be softer (they call them out on the website, so may be they just need more washing or a fabric softener); and, no closet - only hanging rack (functional but mentioned due to aesthetics). As with any downtown Eugene hotel, the trains pass through day and night, using their horns multiple times, each time they pass through ... safety first :)

Yelp
Eugene, Or. I've no complaints here, after all the bed was comfy and I got a good nights sleep. The lobby level is a hub of night life with kind of a hipster crowd. I was definitely not a fit, maybe 45 years ago. Outside leads to a corridor of cool shops and places to eat, you need not wander far to be entertained. I liked the shower, there was no mystery to solve to get hot water as many shower valves feature now days. The lighted glass jars in the entry are very cool.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Gordon! I love the location and the people are extra nice! They have a complimentary snack bar with chips, cookies, water, etc. They also have a cool place in the lobby where you can sit and paint, draw or just be creative with supplies available. The bar area is awesome for cocktails. There are cute boutique style shops, including a place to get great coffee or some ice cream. Don't go the pet shop, the only rude people around (very rude at that). You can walk to the 5th street Market shopping center just a minute away! You are also walking distance to the whole Downtown scene!! 4 stars only because although the room is nice, nothing special and no pool. You must have a pool for that 5th star.
google avatar

Nam N.

Yelp
I'm leaning more of a 4.5 rating versus a 5 only because I really wish they had pool/hot tub amenities and easier self parking. Outside of that though - it's a great spot. Very clean spacious rooms, modern flair without being "boutique" as those tend to be very small. What makes this place great is the location, located at the end of a very cute outdoor shopping area, with coffee shops, ice cream, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, whisky room, even a toy store and gift shops. It's the perfect spot for a mini get away. The staff are very welcoming as well. However come night fall there is very little to do within walking distance and without a hot tub to hang out in, you're subjected to relaxing in your room unless you are willing to drive out 10 mins or so to a movie theater.

Yelp
When can I come back!?! From first entrance, it is as if you were in New York with the entrance right off the street. The lobby is bright and welcoming with amazing lighting. Warm and inviting. The staff were quick to retrieve our bags and guide us to a glass of wine while they checked us in and made our dinner reservations, then guided us down the alley for shopping and entertainment. The hotel restaurant/bar was even more of a delight as again, the staff was very attentive and service was quick. And the food!!! Delicious! I had chicken with potatoes, and veggies and my friend had the fish and we all sampled the appetizers and got lost in sampling . We ended up making friends with almost everyone sitting around the bar, and this extended to a little seated area right off the bar. When we did finally make it to our room, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was wonderful and the view was great of the little city center. We couldn't get the heater working, and when we had to call down for help, concierge once again came to our aid, came up to reset it and even brought a nightcap and what was great is the next morning the new concierge met us while we were going for breakfast and made sure we were happy. So service is beyond amazing. They sent us to all the great spots for fun and adventure. Being in a college town, I wasn't expecting this so close and wonderful. I will be back as every adventure is a great adventure. This is a must visit!

Yelp
Roadtrips across the Pacific Northwest brought us to Gordon. We booked the place close to midnight over phone, service was swift with clear instructions. When we got there late (2AM ish), the staff made it all seem easy & were friendly. They recommended we consider valet parking instead of parking on the street - we went for it, felt like the safer choice. The hotel is surrounded by wonderful unique shops (with lots of walking traffic) which we explored in the morning. Modern hotel with solid service, in an eventful location. (Perhaps a tad bit too costly).

Yelp
Great downtown hotel in Eugene Oregon staff were polite and helpful Popular restaurants ground floor and another on the roof. Clean rooms with all the amenities. Very modern decor with a lot of art. And the location was excellent for shopping.

Yelp
Nicely design hotel with friendly service, good location and great restaurants/cafe nearby. When we get in our room which has a door connected to the next room and we can hear someone coughing constantly/ none stopped which gets us worried, when we mentioned this to the front desk, she showed understanding and switching us to the other room right away, thank you for understanding during this difficult time!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best location in Eugene IMHO. Is now option #1 when in Eugene area. Daughter here at school thinks it's hip/trendy/cool - that's pretty strong thumbs up from Gen Z. I recently required some last minute reservation changes and the staff (...William and Manager on call, my apologies I forgot her name) were very understanding. It felt like they were personally working to delight a customer and not some 800 customer service line just answering the next call in queue, which is common at the larger hotels.

Lisa K.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this wonderful hotel enough! During the extra busy University move-in weekend, the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly! They were a calming presence during a stressful time. The team unloaded and reloaded our packed vehicle (better than we did) all while smiling and we were ready to go on-time. We are so appreciative and will never stay anywhere else when in Eugene!

Yelp
Our new favorite hotel when staying in Eugene to visit our son at UO. The rooms are beautiful, staff is excellent and close to everything yoh need. Shuttle from airport as well. And car service to get to local places. Sister property of the inn at 5th.

Alice W.

Yelp
Lovely hotel with nice employees and amenities. Rooms are new and modern. A few nits...it's easy to hear my neighbor, even when they're not being loud. The walls seem thin or perhaps the hard surface flooring doesn't muffle sound very well. The heating system is either on full blast or off. The controls are confusing, even with the instruction card on the desk. Also the lights next to the bed are so bright and glaring. And they're either both on or both off. These are just nitpicks however. I enjoyed my stay in this lovely hotel. Great area with lots of shops and restaurants within a short walk. I hope to stay here again on my frequent visits to Eugene.

Yelp
What's not to love about a brand new hotel in a prime location. We stayed in a corner room with lots of light. Staff was looking to please at every turn. Beautiful big new gym that they share with the Gordon Lofts. Complimentary water, soda, and snacks in the lobby as well.
google avatar

Yelp
New Years 2023..Staff were all very above and beyond.. Food was all good! The room with the one ply TP paper and the wobbly toilet base really brought the star rating down. Bed was a 5 star and the coffee a 5 star. The Ballroom which we paid $80 was a flop for us being 70 of age. Everyone was around 40 of age and we couldn't quite get the music vibes. So again for $80 bucks this brought the rating down. They should explain better what the ballroom was all about. The parking was nearby a old railroad depot which I did not feel safe with at all. Again the employees were friendly and very nice to us. Only a 3 star for us. I only hope they read the review and fix the toilet and change the TP paper to at least a 2 ply.. lol

Delightful hotel. The staff is perfect and the rooms are great. I've always impressed. Top notch.

Yelp
We flew in from California and Stayed at the Gordon Hotel and what a beautiful experience. From the nice young lady at the counter also offering us a free glass of wine or beer as we registered. The rooms are lovely ! the best part is the valet Service always friendly and willing to retrieve your car. Lots of beautiful shops decorated for Christmas a truly enjoyable vacation.

Crumpet T.

Yelp
Wow super impressive. Very nice hotel with great amenities (snacks! Wine and IPA on tap at the front desk! A gift card for $20 from the local coffee shop) but the best part was the complimentary shuttle. Perhaps we paid a bit more than other hotels in this area but we received complimentary shuttle to and from the Eugene airport as well as to and from the U of O where my daughter was considering accepting admission. In the end she chose another school so I don't know that we will be back to the Gordon anytime soon, but it was a wonderful 5 star experience all the way!

David M.

Yelp
The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and well located. However don't expect to get a good night's sleep. The hard surface flooring magnifies every movement the upstairs room makes. I was awakened all night, every night I was there, as was my sister who was in a separate room. The AC controller requires an instruction manual to use... not user friendly at all. Maintenance had to be called to adjust it. The lighting controls are complicated and extremely frustrating. I'll try a different hotel next visit.

Cheri L.

Yelp
The breakfast service was not reflective of the high standards of the hotel in general. Everything that could go wrong went wrong with our breakfast. Our waitress spaced out getting my coffee out before she proceeded in getting another customers order.. The order was not correct over hard eggs instead of over easy bacon instead of sausage.. We wanted to charge our breakfast to our room but she wasn't able to because she needed a special code. We had a wonderful cocktail hour and appetizers the previous night and was able to charge this to our room.

Yelp
Love this place!!! So happy to stay here. Premium for sure. Favorite place to stay in Eugene.

Yelp
I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. The staff is fun and knowledgeable. When you check in, you immediately get offered a complimentary glass of locally brewed beer or locally bottled wine which were both amazing. We were able to unpack while enjoying our beverage in the cleanest, most welcoming environment. Clean, large room with a French door and balcony, amazing bathrobes, free alcohol, nice people, super affordable.....I'm a big fan!!!

Steven W.

Yelp
First of all the hotel is very modern and a great location. The staff was extremely profession and friendly and the welcome glass of wine was very appreciated. Unfortunately of the three day stay seeing family my wife came down with Covid so to keep everyone safe we checked out and drove straight home. The did charge us for another night which I guess is there policy. T wo years ago we had to leave an upscale hotel in Santa Barbara and they didn't charge us a early departure fee but I guess in these times Gordon probably needs the money. So be aware that any changes once you get there you will have to pay fees. Also I thought it was covered parking but it was outside parking but the valet was very quick at getting our car. Probably stay elsewhere next time just to see the difference.

Anne D.

Yelp
Went to restaurant. Asked for drink at bar while our table was getting ready. Bartender refused saying we had to wait for server who never appeared. Taken to back room. Server also mostly ignored us. Very slow. Used excuse of printer problem for delay in drinks. Food was good so not one star but at high end restaurant I expect some service which was completely lacking at this restaurant. So disappointing to be treated so poorly. I hope management can correct service to match very good food

Grant L.

Yelp
Good food and good service. Was a bit noisy. I recommend after dinner walking around the lobby and second floor and review the wonderful art on the walls. Several local artist displaying some wonderful work.

Ron W.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in great downtown location. Overall the staff was very good. No complimentary breakfast for the price; water/soft drinks and snacks were complimentary. snack choice dismal. Need to improve coffee bar. Pet friendly with 2 small areas for your pet to take care of business. For the price we were disappointed to find no microwave or bar refer. Only one chair for sitting if not in bed or at desk. Housekeeping was poor... if you elected to not have the bed changed daily(we did) the only services performed we could see were towel replacement, trash emptied, bed made. Floors were not cleaned nor the toilet.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night on our road trip, had a great experience. Nothing like giving the valet your car and someone handing you a glass of wine. Whole place felt new and clean, and was really lovingly decorated - nice fixtures, cute pillows, paintings everywhere with little descriptions. I'm a pretty light sleeper, especially at hotels, but I had an excellent night's sleep at this place. Will definitely stay here again. Oh and side note, if you're here on Saturday there's an awesome farmer's market downstairs.

April W.

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this hotel. We paid approx $280 for a Monday night. Site showed doors with a small balcony, which was we were looking for. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. Window looking into the window across from us. Window did not open. The room was stuffy and hot. Not allowed to set thermostat below 67 degrees. Air flow was not constant. On and off all night long. For almost 300 for a weeknight, I'd like to control my own climate thank you. Walls are so thin. Stomping above us as well as both sides. While in the bathroom, I heard an entire conversation of the people upstairs. Sorry to say but this is an establishment that I will never stay at again.

Aaron G.

Yelp
I stayed a few nights at the Gordon Hotel in Eugene. Very clean and the hotel is very contemporary. A little pricey but worth the cost. The staff was friendly and my stay was very enjoyable.

William H.

Yelp
if I could give less than one star I would. we ate here tonight and came out to find our car gone. we had mistakenly parked in a wrong spot and in less than an hour our car was towed. we spent $100 on dinner and another $400 to get our car out. I don't think Ive ever been this mad about an experienc. the parking is not marked well and the rent-a-cops were all over it. needless to say this was the last time I will spend money at 5th St market or the Gordon hotel. I've worked in restaurants for years and this is inexcusable. probably the best way to alienate guests. I won't even get started on Emerald towing. The "gentlemen" we dealt with there were awful. My girlfriend was in tears. We won't deal with any of those business anymore. Ever.

Peter R.

Yelp
We had a one night stay at the Gordon hotel. The hotel is nice, modern and clean. The original artwork in the rooms and common areas is impressive. Complimentary touches (wine/beer tasting and snacks) were appreciated. However our experience was marred by an unfortunate incident with the hotel's valet parking service. We were convinced to use the $18 extra service by the promise of security and cameras in the parking area. When our vehicle was returned in the morning, it had been rifled through-- the glove box and center console were open and the contents strewn around the car. Two pair of sunglasses were missing. The valet said nothing about the obvious trashing of the car, and when we reported the incident to hotel staff they said they would call us back with the results of their review of the security footage. We heard nothing. I also reported the incident on the form they sent us for feedback on our stay, and again got no response from the hotel. The lack of any response, and the very poor customer service about this concern is why we cannot recommend this hotel for anyone the stay there.

Upon arriving at the Gordon hotel I was happy. I would write and say all the good things and reasons why but I don't want to take away from my low rating. You have the option of valet or park on the street. Downtown parking in Eugene is not easy. So I went with the valet. Valet is 18 dollars. That was fine with me. I was moving up from Las Vegas heading to Washington and was in a medium moving truck. Didn't seem to be a problem for the bell hop. Their parking lot is about a block away. Upon receiving my truck in the morning is when my problem started. I drove that truck 800 miles at that point. Up, over, and through the modac national forest and never had any issues with my stuff in the back. Somehow driving one block he managed to ruin some very expensive furniture. Tipped my dresser over ruining my large leather ottoman by ripping it. Broke two legs on my dresser. Scraped my nightstand. I called them and spoke to their manager. She said she had to speak to the gm and bell hop and would call me back later that day. She did not. I called her the next day and she said she would call me back. She did not. I waited three days and called her back. She said she lost my number but she spoke to the gm and they're not liable. All I ever wanted was an apology. I wasn't worried about the money. If they would have offered me a comp or something to show remorse I would have just said don't worry about it but it's nice to see the incentive and I would have been fine. Instead I had to call back over and over just to be told it's not their fault. It WAS THEIR FAULT and I can't even get them to admit it. F. Y. I. I did check the back before the bell hop took the truck. I will rate this place one star on other sites as well and will forever tell everyone I know not to go there. A simple sorry would have made all the difference.
