"Just a few minutes from downtown Hood River, this stately turn-of-the-century white home sits on acres of beautiful farmland and orchards. Nestled on the property is Gorge White House’s food cart, where chef Jack Kennedy tops flatbreads with pears and cherries grown onsite and stacks burgers on buns made by his mother each morning. Kennedy’s food pairs well with ciders made from property-grown fruit — try a full flight or sit out in the sunshine with a pint of choices like classic apple, white peach, and the fan-favorite honey lavender." - Zoe Baillargeon, Molly Allen

I had the best burger of my life at the food truck here and I can’t stop thinking about it! 🤤 I ordered the White House Burger and it was absolutely incredible. The bun was crispy on the inside but still soft and delicious on the outside. The garlic mayonnaise was plentiful and packed with flavor. The patty itself was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and perfectly pink in the middle. The caramelized onions, fresh lettuce, and tomato were a great balance to the juicy meat, and the bacon was crispy, thick, and absolutely delicious. I sadly can’t have dairy right now so I ordered it without cheese, but honestly, this burger didn’t even need it—it was a 10/10 even without cheese, so I can only imagine how amazing it would be with it! The tots were also delicious, crispy and satisfying. We enjoyed our meal at the Gorge White House itself, which was a lovely and fun spot to hang out and eat. I enjoyed a lavender cider with my meal and it was absolutely delightful. Highly recommend, I will be making a point to always stop here if I’m nearby!

Google
Such a beautiful place. We had a flight of ciders and a beer, hubby got a burger from the food truck and then picked cherries, blueberries and raspberries. All this while seeing Mt. Hood and Mt. Adam’s. The staff were kind and welcoming. You won’t regret stopping here.

Google
Beautiful farm! Walking around the farm is an absolute must, it’s so beautiful. We ordered burgers from the food truck, which took about 45 minutes. It was an unusually long wait so would have been nice to get a bit of a warning in that when ordering.

Went on Memorial Day weekend and surprisingly was not too busy. Additional parking near gardens, where pets are allowed! Fantastic tasting ciders! Gorgeous views and such a great place to take your entire family.

Google
I enjoyed this spot. We had cider and flights from the main building and enjoyed food from the food truck. The flights were fun and well priced, and I really enjoyed the lemon pear cider. The food was good, but they get backed up easily. We had a large group and the wait times ranged from 30 min to 1.75hrs for the food. It definitely gets maxed out. The little fruit picking stall is nice too- some cool local products, fruit and ice cream by the scoop.

Google
This is really a One-Stop shop! We went primarily for lunch but were able to get fruit there too. It's fun that everything is kind of separate and there is a ton of room, more room than we saw online. We ordered our food from the cart and then went into the tasting room to order our booze. While we waited for the food we also went into the fruit stand. They were having a crazy sale on pears and I got 23 for like $5. The burgers are absolutely delicious. So much flavor and a very moist patty. The flatbread was a fun flavor combination with pears, though I think it could have had more pairs. Although I wasn't really a fan of most of their wines, I think their winner is the cider. The ciders just had such a concentration of flavor and were really tasty. I also snagged a cream cheese pumpkin muffin from the fruit stand and we had that after lunch. That was also amazing!

Google
Beautiful place for picking fruit. Beautifull maintained grounds, food available. Great parking. Lovely staff. Picked a ton of cherries and other berries this season and were so happy with the experience. Absolutely recommend!

Google
Our visit was geared toward the little one getting to pick fruit. Cherries, and raspberries were available. An activity they had done a year ago and remembered it well. We were only expected a farm environment but we got as well what fantastic ciders to taste, good food, gorgeous views, lovely grounds and picnic areas. This place is fantastic. Lots of parking. Highly recommend the cider tasting flight. If you pick fresh fruit it does get pricey quickly but the cost is similar to fresh fruit in the stores.

Yelp
Perfect way to spend a summer afternoon just an hour outside of Portland. I visited in July while just about all their fruits were in season, so I had a great time with their U-Pick offering. Despite being a popular location, fruit was plentiful and I ended up with a tasty selection of blackberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries, and strawberries. So yummy. Highly recommend picking fruit first then popping into the bar area to get some of their hard cider made with their own fruit! I opted for the cider flight of white peach, mixed berry, cherry, and apple. They also have some food options and seating to stop & enjoy your cider and fresh picked fruit. I liked the White Peach cider so much I even purchased a growler to go. Overall just a lovely spot to visit especially in the summertime. I have recommended this place to many friends and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Popped in on a absolutely beautiful fall Saturday afternoon with a few friends. Parking here can be a little bit hectic, but it seems like people come and go in waves. Plus there are about three parking lots, one is accessible from a separate entrance from the road. The main reason why I am only giving three stars is the overall lack of service. Food is available from one building, and drinks from another. Condiments for your French fries? Get someone's attention, ask for a ramekin, then squirt some all over your hand because the dispenser's nearly empty. Need some napkins? Get someone's attention then ask for some, because the dispenser is empty. Need some water? Go find it tucked into a corner of the bar building. Need ranch? Get someone's attention, and ask them for some, so they can stand at a window and pour it out of a Costco-sized container into a ramekin and hand it to you. That said, my friends and I all agreed that our burgers were absolutely delicious. The french fries were steak cut, and unsalted.

Yelp
We stumbled on this cute place on the way to another favorite place in The Gorge. It was so very crowded that day. I think it was close to a two-hour wait for food, but we were only interested in the cider that day anyway. They make all their cider in house. And you can get a flight to try them all. The flight is perfect to see which ones you like the best. We have been several times to fill our growlers. We do hope they bring back the orange cider soon. It was amazing! They have plenty of seating outside. It's very cute and spacious. You can also pick fruit in season if you want! Great places for dates or for friends.

Kristen H.

Yelp
Such a cute stop on the road! We stopped here heading back to Portland and had beautiful weather for an afternoon outside! We got a wine flight and a cider flight because we couldn't choose! They have a food truck with a jumbo serving of fries that pairs perfectly with the flights :) We walked around the orchard and got a couple pieces of fruit. We weren't going straight home so didn't get flowers, but they were beautiful!

Rita S.

Yelp
Well, we tried. My friends and I wanted to visit someplace new for apple picking this year, so we decided to try The Gorge White House. Maybe we weren't looking in the right place, but we only find a small row with red apples. The other trees seemed to be picked over with no apples. And...The apples we did find were soft and not crisp. However, we also decided to try some cider during our visit, and the white peach cider was delicious! We would definitely get it again. The service is OK. They will fill your glass, but you will need to bus your own table. We also heard traffic from our outdoor table which detracted from our experience. We ended up going to another orchard after our lackluster visit.

Yelp
What a one of a kind place!!! All I can say is Wow! So fun for all ages! The peach wine was delicious and refreshing, I sipped while we picked fresh flowers, raspberries, and blackberries! Our lunch was gourmet. Try the burgers! The turkey bacon melt had the freshest tomato slices and fresh carved turkey, not the deli sliced! We had the best time!!! Great photos, great views! This is such a treasure hidden behind Hood River!

Natalie H.

Yelp
A must-do while in Hood River during spring and summer!! Great, fruity selection of ciders and wines - and I think it's worthwhile to share a flight with your group if it's your first time! The lemon pear cider is my personal favorite, but many of them are great options depending on what you like. They have an excellent food truck, although I will warn you that it can take quite a while to get food when it's busy, so just keep that in mind. Everything is so tasty! Over my many visits, I have tried and loved the Gorge White House Burger, Caprese, and all three of the flatbreads. You can't go wrong! During the right parts of the season, you can pick flowers and berries, and they have a good set-up for it. A great thing to do while waiting for your food! :) Besides all of the great services, it also has beautiful mountain views of both Hood and Adams. A great spot to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the valley!

Glydia C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the cider tasting that I had here. The vibes are great, and the views are better. Service was good. We sat indoors for our drinks since it was very hot outside.

Eric A.

Yelp
Picking berries here on the weekend was a lot of fun. The blackberry bushes were thornless which makes picking much quicker. And if you have little kids, you don't have to stress about them getting hurt. Snag a bucket at the little shop, snap a picture of the map so you have it on your phone, and head into the fields for as long as you like. When you're done, head back to the shop and get weighed out. In one trip we got blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries, and an assortment of flowers. You're probably not going to save money here by picking your own stuff, but the experience and flavors are worth it!

Yelp
When I have friends visiting me in town, I try to take them out of town to The Gorge White House to not only enjoy the views on the drive out to Hood River but to enjoy views whilst in Hood River. This spot has it all - photo ops, u-pick fruit, berries and flowers, wine, tasty, upscale pub food (that's how I would interpret what is offered), dog-friendly. No matter what time of day I come, we are able to find parking and a place to sit. I would recommend bringing a hat/sunglasses since not all seats are shaded. The White House definitely has me coming back time and time again, I'm sure you can tell how much fun I have here with all the pictures I have taken over the years. Counting down till my next visit!

Chad H.

Yelp
Really cool place with awesome views. If you like cider, get the sampler and enjoy the scenery.

Katherine P.

Yelp
Fun place for all ages. You can pick fruit with the kids, have a picnic or have a girls day enjoying wine or just spending time outdoors. Such a beautiful setting to enjoy the outdoors.

Yelp
A couple of us drove about 90 minutes out to the gorge with this spot in mind. There is parking under trees and in a lot, but plenty of spaces. We passed their 4 gender neutral restrooms which were clean and well maintained porta potties. There are tables in the sun and in the shade available for first come, first serve seating. Our table has a nice view of Mt. Hood. They specialize in ciders and wines. I ordered a hard cider flight. I really loved the Pear flavor because it was light and not too sweet. I would not order the cheery cider again because it was too tart, but all of the other ciders were good. This month's flavor was Raspberry. They have a cider for everyone's palate that's for sure! We ordered burgers from the food truck spot. I had a Washington Burger with Tater Tots. We waited about 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. My friend told me that's a normal wait time for the food on a Sunday or crowded weekend day. The burger was cooked medium well and you can tell it's fresh from the farm. Can't go wrong with the fries over the tater tots. I would come again with a group of friends. This place is also very dog and kid friendly.

Yelp
I'm giving this three stars although I'm tempted to do just one because of the awful experience with getting the cider flight. First, our burgers, fries, and salad were quite good. Including them in this poor review seems unfair, but the cider flight situation is too important to ignore. I took a peek inside and saw the listing of ciders and the flavors (see picture.) Upon my first sip I immediately realized we had hard ciders, which was an issue for me. The sign inside did not show any indication of this. To be fair, there is a sign outside the building, which said hard, but I missed it. Does this make it my fault or should the inside sign say the same? I went in and spoke to the woman behind the counter and told her that I just wanted to point out that they might want to consider making it more obvious. A blank stare was her response. I went on to say that it was an issue for me. She picked up the laminated list of flavors and pointed to the word hard at the top of the list. Yes, she was right. The list does say hard. Again, a little more caution would go a long way. Could I have spent more time looking for signs? I guess so, but it was busy. My major complaint about this situation was her coldness, rudeness, and unwillingness to show any kind of customer service. I made it clear that I wasn't looking for a refund or anything more than an awareness on their part that things could be clearer. I've worked in retail. I was shocked at her unprofessional and cold demeanor and response. We will never return because of her.

Yelp
My favorite stop on the fruit loop- cider and wine flights, u-pick produce and flowers, and tasty food, plus seating and beautiful views. We've stopped here spring, summer and fall and enjoyed every stop, there's always something delicious here.

Darbie E.

Yelp
Inside service was amazing. Hard cider & wine tastings were delicious. We went home with 2 bottles of wine & a growlette of white peach cider. The food cart served us the most incredible heirloom tomato pesto flatbread that we learned the tomatoes came from the property's garden & the chef made the pesto. *chef's kiss* We also had the hummus & veggies. Delish! We walked through the garden & took tons of pics, picked strawberries, & bought heirloom tomatoes & peaches. What a time we had!

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This place is always a nice first stop to try a cider flight and grab some cherries. I wish they had more food options to enjoy their beautiful grounds amongst the flowers. They have a bunch of snacks and a limited menu on the food truck. The parking lots fill up on busy days so just pass it by but be sure to stop on your way back down the mountain.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I wasn't a bit cider fan before Oregon, but I enjoyed trying the various cider flavors at The Gorge White House. It has a nice outdoor area with many picnic tables near their field of flowers. As a warning, it does get busy and service can be a bit slow. When I visited in August 2022, the flights (to taste 8 ciders) were $18 or $2.50 per taster. They had a new watermelon flavor and I tried that one as well. I enjoyed each of the nine different ciders I tasted, my personal favorites were probably the Honey Lavender and Mixed Berry, but I really did find each of flavors to be distinct and liked them all. They also have a little food food cart and tried a couple flatbreads (Blueberry Sausage & Cherry Bacon). If you're planning on being near the Fruit Loop during your trip to Oregon, I recommend adding this to your list of stops (if you enjoy drinking).

L C.

Yelp
Jack and crew are excellent humans, preparing delicious food, with zero pretense and a knack for customer service. Great place with friends and family, low key vibe, spectacular location.

Jane M.

Yelp
Stopped by this place during our recent trip to Hood River. This place serves one of the best hard ciders I have had apart from wines, farm fresh food, fruits and flowers. We got here after lunch so directly ordered the tastings and chose to buy a combo of wine and cider tastings. For the hard ciders, we ordered the orange, lemon pear, mixed berry, honey lavender. For wines, we ordered cab sauv, pear wine and rose. Honestly, we loved all their ciders way better than the wines. Amongst the wines, the pear wine and cab sauv were really nice. The rose was interesting. From the ciders, the orange was my fav and the rest were right up there. You get amazing view of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood from their parking lot. They have huge farms as well and can grab some fresh blueberry and cherry while you are here. They have a food truck out there serving some food as well. All in all loved this cider house and winery and will come back again for their ciders.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Our first stop along the Fruit Loop was our favorite! We really enjoyed the wine & cider flight, and were super impressed by the food cart (the avocado salsa was insane). AND you can't beat that view of Mt. Hood. We took a few bottles of the pear wine back to California.

Melanie ..

Yelp
This little slice of heaven....this will be a must every time we visit Hood River. Love that it's dog friendly too! Such a beautiful property.

Tracy D.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful ambiance! Customer service is great! They had 8 different flavors of cider and six wines to try. The cherry cider, Herirtage Pear Wine, Riesling, and Pinot Gris were my favorites. The food truck they have onsite was BOMB! Man, that man can make an incredible burger!!! If I was here another day, I would seriously come back for a second burger. From the meat to the bun: delicious!

Tracey B.

Yelp
Beautiful place! The rows of flowers are breathtaking! Lots of tourists but everyone was very respectful, and you are able to take your pup through most of the areas!

Gaby B.

Yelp
Driven by this place for years and finally stopped in. Will definitely be back, such beautiful grounds, plenty of seating in different areas. I love that they have a a garden where you can cut your own flowers for a bouquet. We sampled their cider and a flatbread and hummus. All was thoroughly enjoyed. I heard their Turkey sandwich was delicious, so we will definitely be back for that. Kid & dog friendly. Great stop when you're in the Mt. Hood area for sure.

Ning L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Delicious food and drinks, beautiful view, and the overall vibe is very relaxing. We had a slice of pie with icecream, they were a match made in heaven. The cider flight was so fun and we got to try so many flavors. I'm excited to come back later this month for u-pick cherries and berries

Krista N.

Yelp
the service here is so slow- they really don't care about the timeliness of your order- i went last weekend, they stopped taking food orders at 5;40 even though their website said they were open until 7! be warned- don't make the effort to drive out there if it's after 5- i do love the food- and have been several times- but service is always very slow, even if it's not crowded. The views are stunning.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Love this place, food and cider top notch, so relaxing and very clean, dog friendly and the staff is wonderful!

Aaron C.

Yelp
Tasty & Delicious. Fun place. Expansive grounds. Pick yer own flowers & berries. Food on site. Snacks inside. Cider & wine flights. Friendly fun help.

Kristy B.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning. Delicious ciders. Incredible food. The people are so kind. Drinking amazing ciders amongst blooming peony fields and an orchard. Doesn't get better.

Rachel M.

Yelp
I would say there is so much potential here but they are lacking in some areas. They need more food options and the farm stand should be stocked during off season with at least flowers or gift options, it was just empty. Instead of doing a cider flight or wine flight (It's not worth the $18) it's less than a pint. Just order a full glass of wine or cider. The Honey Lavender Cider is very mild and good.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite wineries ever! The fact that they literally have something for everyone makes it even more appealing - they have wine, cider AND beer! They have snacks and I think there is sometimes a food truck but I will go back just for the drinks and the views anyway. The outdoor area has amazing views and is situated right next to a u-pick flower garden AND a u-pick fruit orchard. The sweetest, most beautiful setting to have a few drinks and spend time with friends.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Such a cute little winery!! Lots of open picnic tables right in the vineyard. They have wines and ciders. Can order inside at the bar and seat yourself. Dog friendly and family friendly.

Selena N.

Yelp
We stopped here right when it opened. I have a feeling it would be best visited in the Spring. There was a beautiful dahlia garden to my delight and a beautiful view of Mount Hood and the surrounding mountains. It would be a great picnic spot! We did taste some wine here. The lady in there was super friendly and happy to have us taste! We tried few And bought a bottle even! We'd definitely come back if in the area. I wasn't overly impressed with the selection of apples. I was surprised that most places don't let you taste apples. How do you know if they taste good!? So I was disappointed in that. This little spot was worth the stop on the loop though!

Cris L.

Yelp
Now this was a winery experience! You cannot imagine a more idyllic setting for a vineyard, with grapes growing all around, surrounded by hills and greenery. We sat at a table on the lawn and had a wine flight. The wines were all very good and we enjoyed them all. The pear and onion pizza was delicious! I would highly recommend this to someone who wants a snack. the scenery and atmosphere of this place cannot be beat and is a must-stop for anyone going to wineries around Hood River

Desirae B.

Yelp
I could've spent an entire day here drinking and playing cards. Granted, I had some edibles and would've spent an entire day doing that in a parking lot. But the grounds are well kept, beautiful and if I lived nearby I would have weekly fresh flowers from the pick-your-bouquet garden!!!

Megan L.

Yelp
What a fantastic trip to this scenic place in hood river. We came on what was originally a quiet Friday around noon, and the place quickly filled up although the seating is well arranged for these COVID times. I got the cider sampler ($14 for a flight of 8!), and they were awesome! They ranged from dry (apple) to sweet (mixed berry), and had unique flavors such as blueberry and honey lavender. The food took awhile (30 mins), but the food truck menu did warn that given their focus on farm ingredients, this wasn't a place for fast food. When the food did come out, it was well worth the wait. We got a BLT with coleslaw, blueberry sausage flatbread, and pear onion flatbread. They were hearty, filling, and complimented the cider perfectly. Lastly, the views were worth the trip alone. Unobstructed views of both Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood, surrounded by blossoming fruit trees? What more could you ask for? I look forward to returning in the summer when it's fruit picking season. I can't recommend this place enough, and it was truly a spectacular experience.

Brittany S.

Yelp
As we pulled up to the beautiful old Dutch Colonial Farmhouse, my eyes jumped from the stunning field of dahlia and rose blooms to the picturesque backdrop of the mountains and view of Mount Hood. What an idyllic setting for a farm and business. This farm offers all sorts of fun including u-pick flowers, fruit, jams, cider and wine flights (from their own cider and wine), clean bathrooms and plentiful shaded tables to soak it all in. We ended up ordering a taste of the pear wine, seasonal grapefruit cider and the flight of seven hard ciders to enjoy with our books out on the patio. The woman working behind the counter was great at highlighting the products and offering a warm welcome. My favorite ciders were the honey lavender and lemon pear flavors. All were very interesting and different from one to the next. They offer half growler and full growlers for sale as well. Bonus for the very hot summer days: they have shaded parking available. A few of our other favorite stops along the Fruit Loop Trail included the Hood River Lavender Farm and the Old Truck Antique Shop. Enjoy your journey and he certain to add this stop to your itinerary!

Yelp
My friend's wedding venue was at The Orchard nearby so the bridal party met the day prior for rehearsals and then we went to The Gorge White House to have lunch and hang out before our VBRO rental check-in time. We took up 3 tables and it was a pretty fun bonding experience. Covid Safety - All seating is outdoor to begin with, tables are pretty spaced out throughout the property. Social distancing and face mask enforced unless you are eating or drinking. Returning your glasses straight into their washing racks. Hand sanitizer provided by the cashier areas. Flight of 8 Hard Ciders ($14) - These were serve in long skinny shot glass looking glasses, a good amount of a tasting. The flavors are apple, apple with cascade hops, cherry, blueberry, honey lavender, raspberry, lemon pear and mixed berry. I enjoyed most of the flavors except the honey lavender which I thought I would have enjoyed. My favorites were the blueberry, lemon pear and apple. Their cafe is in the little trailer with probably an extremely limited kitchen space because it was a ONE HOUR WAIT for food. I ordered their Pear Caramelized Onion Flatbread ($11) and added Bacon ($2) for some protein. While waiting our food, the bride wanted to go pick some fruits. You are able to pick fruits and flowers here. Their property is so vast, and great for pictures. Fruit Pricing: - Strawberries: $3/lb - Blueberries: $3/lb - Blackberries: $3/lb - Raspberries: $4/lb The lovely bride wanted some of the blueberries, blackberries and raspberries to serve with the cocktails at the wedding the following day so 4 of us grabbed their red buckets and began working. IT WAS SO MUCH WORK!! For nearly an hour of group effort we filled one box of the size you typically see berries in at the market. This was fun to do one time while we waited on our food, but I prefer my fruit picked for me. When the food was finally ready, IT WAS SO DELICIOUS. Everyone in my group was pleased with their selection. My lovely flatbread had fresh pears, mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, topped with sharped white cheddar and my addition of the bacon. It was absolutely perfect. I got great balance of sweetness and savory. Mhmm. They also have salads, sandwiches and burgers. My friends who ordered the burgers that came with tots especially raved about them. If it wasn't for Covid, I definitely would have taken a bite!! Great team bonding with the bride and groom and their bridal party. It was like the last meal before the storm. Just kidding... kind of... hope they don't read this and punch me :) If you happen to be in the Hood River area, I would highly recommend stopping by if you are interested in picking fruits, picking flowers, taking photos, outdoor dining or flights of ciders and wines. Just manage your expectations of the wait time for food.

Yelp
Visited here with my friend on our exploration through Hood River a few months ago. This place is such a fun spot to hang out for an entire afternoon! It was really busy in the late afternoon when we arrived, but we were able to find parking easily. The grounds are so nice, with the beautiful white house, the picnic tables and various food options (like their food truck, and small shop with goodies!). We had already eaten, so opted to visit there farm cellar to grab a cider tasting. The tasting will give you a selection of their hard ciders, and we went with all samples to try! Of course, some I liked more than others, but it's a personal thing! I found it good value for money too! After a while, we decided to walk through their grounds, and saw all the various u-pick options, like flowers, apples, pears, etc. It really is such a great landscape to explore! Afterwards we visited their little food store and ordered some ice cream before relaxing again! I would definitely suggest this as a spring/summer of early Fall hang out location, if in the area! The staff are lovely and there was no pressure to leave the grounds at any point!

Yelp
This is a for sure must-go-to place while in Hood River! It's outdoors so no confined areas for COVID to stay and people were wearing masks unless they were eating or drinking. There is little delectable made foods to eat like burgers, etc. which are moderately priced. When it is a busy day though, it can be a long wait (up to a hour) for the food to be done. The drinks are ciders or beer so you can enjoy the outdoors and sit back and relax. If you want more to do with your time, there is also fresh fruit and flower picking. Please do read the signs because there are areas that are off limits and also certain fruits that they do not want you to pick. Small things to know is that there are only certain areas that are shaded and they do not want you moving tables so bring an umbrella or something on those warm days because you'll be in the sun. Also, parking is ample but in different areas. They're not marked so just find an area that people are parking at and make sure you're not blocking.

Rachel D.

Yelp
Great stop at the Gorge! The White House property is beautiful and spacious. There are picnic tables over by the orchards with green space and also more tables over by the house/food buildings. And the views are pretty gorgeous - the mountains and other wineries... They really have everything - drinks, food, flowers, u-pick fruits, and snack. The drinks include ciders (including flights), beer and wine. The food is from a little food cart on the premises. It has burgers and flatbread type things. The burgers were pretty delicious - granted we did wait an hour and a half to get them so maybe we were just a bit hungry too! The fries reminded me of Red Robin fries. The only issue is the long wait time for food but again, there's plenty of space to sit on a nice day, have a drink, and enjoy the wait.

Ann N.

Yelp
This is such a picturesque vineyard if there ever is one. I'm not a huge hard cider drinker so it was nice to sample a couple of them as well as wine. I brought my teen so I definitely didn't want to be inebriated. The view is gorgeous and the seating areas are all unique, outdoors. We came within a half hour of them opening and there was only another couple sitting outside. By the time we left, the place was filled. I chose this place as they also have a U-pick farm attached so that the kid would have something to do with me and not just watch mommy have some cider. The bountiful blueberries, raspberries, pears, peaches, nectarines, and apples were a delight to look at. We only wanted blueberries so those we picked. They were pretty good size compared to another farm we visited and super sweet. You can also pick the seasonal flowers that they grow. We also ordered from the "truck" on site. We shared the caprese sandwich (well the kid ate most of it) and the abundance of tater tots that came out crispy and flavorful. Considering I think we were the 1st to order food and pretty early in the morning, we got our order in about 15min. They also say everything is made as ordered so expect around 15 minutes for your order. I would definitely return to this vineyard as it's definitely family friendly and yet beautiful. The background looks like a picture and it's easy to sit, sip and just take in the sites. I suggest going early as closer to lunch had much more visitors where all tables were taken (there's a lot too).

Yelp
It's hard to resist a dog friendly cider spot with gorgeous views and amazing cider. Great selection of cider, reasonably priced tastings as well as fresh fruit, ice cream and food truck foods on the grounds.

Yelp
The White House Burger...without a doubt the best burger in the Columbia Gorge. If you're in Hood River and looking for a burger, do yourself a favor and try the White House Burger, it's absolutely radical T

Yelp
We've been by this place a million times but the small parking lot has always been packed so we've never stopped in. We happened to be driving the "fruit loop" taking foliage pictures early Saturday morning and thought we'd swing by to see if there was anyone around. So glad we did! The building is a grand old historic home from years gone by. The grounds are beautiful and there is a food cart there which was open early. The smells coming out of the food cart were intoxicating. Spoke with the fellow working there and he said he was making sauce. Bet it was a great sauce! He graciously offered that we were welcome to take as many pictures as we liked and we got at least a few keepers I think. We are not wine people but if you happen to be you'll probably like and appreciate this place. We definitely appreciated their hospitality!

Yelp
This place is absolutely gorgeous. At one point while my friend picked flowers, I just took a seat on the ground in the garden for a quiet moment, just to take it all in. The hills in the background are spectacular. The flowers, the vegetable ans herb gardens, the sunflowers, the fruit trees, its all so breathtaking. We were hoping to have lunch at the little food truck there, but they said it would be about an hour and a half wait for food, so we passed, but this place is part of what makes the northwest amazing.

Yelp
What a super fun and great place to get cider and hang with friends! This place had such a great vibe. We loved the gorgeous view, the cider was so good, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I tried the flight and the lavender honey cider was wonderful!! You MUST stop here on your adventure through wine country. You will not ne disappointed.

Yelp
What a wonderful kid and dog friendly excursion! We got here right at opening and my wife and toddler got to pick strawberries while I and our pooch patrolled the sides of the patch (they ask for dogs to stay out of the berry patches to avoid trampling the berries). We worked up a hunger and a thirst, opting for a diet coke in lieu of wine or cider tasting given the early hour but I did pick up a bottle of their rose and red blend to take home. And then we got lunch from the food cart which was outstanding - my wife got a blt and I got the pear quesadilla - sliced pears from the orchard, bacon, mozzarella, and fresh goat cheese all on a toasted tortilla. It was unique and excellent. And what can you say about the view? With a 17 month old, doing the whole fruit loop isn't in the cards for us but we were more than happy with our one stop at the Gorge White House.
