Located in the 'Loma Square Shopping Center', corner of Rosecrans St. and Midway Dr. with plenty of parking. We tried their 'Killer Klub' and 'Bagger Cheesesteak'. Both sandwiches were delicious! The bread was perfectly toasted, yet so soft inside. I was surprised to receive a small Bagger Cookie & candy with my sandwich which is so thoughtful and a great complement to it. The cookie is soft and so good that I ended up buying a pack of 2 big cookies. Service was welcoming and friendly. Every employee I encountered was attentive this Saturday noon. The restaurant is clean and organized with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Overall, we had a great lunch experience here and will definitely return. They make delicious sandwiches for sure.

Bagger's Tuna Melt! Seriously, a 5 star sandwich. Heavy with tuna salad, tomatoes, and cheese ordered on 12 grain bread, wow! Perfectly toasted and crisp, loaded with fillings, it's tops in every way. Of course service was with a smile. Quickly, friendly, efficient, all the things that makes Bagger's a fantastwhich shop!!

I stopped by here after grabbing an item for the plaza nearby. Walking in the door, I was feeling the chill and clean ambience. I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff people. I got a vegetarian sandwich, there were a lot of tantalizing options, but I loved what I got. Quality, fresh, good taste. Check it out!

What really stood out, though, was the above-and-beyond service. With every sandwich, they include a fresh chocolate chip cookie—a sweet little surprise that made my day! While waiting for my order, I saw multiple people picking up online orders, and one moment really stuck with me. A mom came in with her young daughter, and the owner immediately recognized her, asking, “You have a son at home too, right?” before adding an extra cookie to her bag for him. It was such a thoughtful gesture and showed the kind of genuine, caring service they provide. Between the great food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the kind-hearted staff, I’ll definitely be back! Ok you know it's a good sandwich shop when at lunch time the place is filled. Having said that it didn't slow them down or change the quality. My tuna grinder was 10/10!!!! The BLT was very fresh and the grilled cheese was perfect, nothing fancy and hit the spot! I will definitely be making this a weekly visit and lastly the free cookie was a perfect addition.

Hands down the best sandwich ever! I had the Chicken Cheesesteak, it was fresh, delicious, and perfectly complimented by the fresh tomatoes & lettuce. The service was excellent, friendly, absolutely delightful. I’m not a big reviewer but couldn’t hold back after such a great experience!

Great place, talk about nice experiences. I saw this place on my way to sprouts and decided to try it out. It was not too busy at around noon. The cashier welcomed me in, asked if I was a first timer and recommended me a few sandwiches and subs. I ended up ordering a Pesto Turkey Sandwich which was bomb by the way. The bread is perfectly moist, it packs everything in. I hate it when everything falls from the back on the first bite. Not here! It has enough turkey, I eat a lot, so I always want more, but its the perfect ratio between bread, protein, and veggies. I got son bbq chips and raspberry drink on the side. They then added a cookie which I did not order, it was just the perfect touch. I think getting a cookie it's a first timer thing, and if it is, man, what a way to make you feel heard and welcomed. For sure coming back!

Was driving in Point Loma today running errands and saw this sandwich place in the strip mall at Rosecrans and Midway. Was lunch time, saw a bunch of people eating and waiting in line and figured give it a shot. Got the Tuna Melt and man was it good! Definitely going back to try more of the menu. Good prices, friendly service and lots of parking! Even get a cookie with your sando:)

I was really looking forward to trying this place after a beach trip, especially since we had our dogs with us and planned to use the outdoor seating. Unfortunately, the "outdoor area" turned out to be just a few tables sitting in the hot sun with no shade, so we ended up having to eat in the car. I ordered the cheesesteak. The flavor was good, but I was surprised by how small it was for the price (around $13). It definitely didn't blow me away, and I was actually still hungry after finishing it. Overall, it was kind of a letdown.

This was my first time here, I saw a lot of reviews of people recommending the incredible bagger sandwich, I ordered that and the Philly cheese. Both sandwiches were delicious, they even came with a cookie and a piece of candy, but the sandwiches were pretty small for the price. The Philly cheese didn't have much meat in it which was a bummer. It was pricey for both, I may give them another try again and hopefully they will be a lot meatier. The service was good and there is plenty of parking in the shopping center.

Stopped by (due to proximity as we were shopping) and guys, what a hidden gem! First of all special shout out to Andrew who was absolutely lovely. He handled everyone super well, was efficient, fast, and friendly. They have a lot of options but we went with a turkey sandwich and their meatball sandwich. Both were delicious! Probably the best meatball sub we've had in a long time. Also, each order comes with a small chocolate chip cookie - what a treat! They are homemade and super super tasty. Prices are reasonable and the sizes are great. They have a few tables outside and a few inside. A lot of people ordered ahead and picked up their order (really smart move for parties and events or just picking up for the fam on the way home!). It's in a strip mall and has plenty of parking. Will absolutely be returning!

I was interested in trying the cheesesteak sandwich at The Gourmet Bagger Sandwich Shop. Guy who was cleaning greeted me as I entered. I'm guessing he was the owner. A hand drawn menu of options was on the wall. I ordered my sandwich with steak, mushrooms, and peppers. Bread was toasted and I really liked the mild flavor. Steak was tender and I loved the flavor with the mushrooms and peppers. Great tasting sandwich and perfect for a light lunch. Next time I'll get the chips to go with it as they don't have an option for a large. Chocolate chip cookie was thick and fluffy with lots of sweet chocolate chip flavor. Very cool place to get a sandwich. Nice owner and efficient staff.

Flying into San Diego, Waze routed me around traffic to Point Loma. I pulled into the TJ Maxx/Home Goods parking lot wanted some lunch and saw this unassuming little spot - The Gourmet Bagger. How have I never noticed this little guy in the corner?! Walking in, it was filled with happy sandwich eaters. There were a full tables outside also that were occupied with chattering friends catching up. Service was quick and I got my sandwich in minutes. I was pleasantly surprised by the bottled/can drink selection. When my food was ready it was hand delivered to me with a delightful wrapped candy and delectable chocolate chip cookie. My sandwich was really good and the cookie sent me up to 5 stars. Will happily be coming back to this spot!

Amazing sandwiches!!! Always super quick, plenty of seating always very clean! Been going here for yearsss because I absolutely love their sandwiches and the little chocolate chip cookie it comes with, they're some of the best! Some of my favorite sandwiches are the all that and more albacore and their club sandwich! I also don't remember the name of this sandwich but there was one I used to get with sprouts and it was amazing too I like to mix it up when I go here because it never disappoints. Another one of my all time favorites that you can't get anywhere else was the calamari sandwich I wish they would bring it back!!!

I was craving a sandwich and was in the area. I picked the Gourmet Bagger based on the raving reviews, particularly for the chipotle chicken gourmet sandwich. So we ordered the chipotle chicken and Down-to-Earth bagger, and though they weren't bad, they weren't the out-of-this-world experience I was expecting based on the review. The chipotle chicken sandwich was smaller than we expected and a little ... wet? I'm not doing a great job describing it - it still tasted good, I have just had far more superior chipotle chicken sandwiches for around the same price point. Similarly, the Down-to-Earth bagger was a pretty standard veggie sandwich. What I will say is that the cookie that comes with the meal is unreal. I don't even like cookies and I thought it was heavenly ! So definitely do recommend visiting if you're in the mood for a cookie :) Service is great and it's a convenient spot with average sandwiches.

The albacore!!!! The seaside Bagger is really my favorite but I ran in for a quick to go sandwich It's been awhile so I'd forgotten about the eat Chocolate chip cookie and breath mint they place in each to go bag. Fast food speed with fine dinning taste. A signature sandwich with great vibes.

This place rocks for subs! Warm subs, cold subs, quality ingredients, delicious! The staff is always very friendly and the wait is short! I recommend the Philly Cheeese Steak sub! My fav!

Stopped by for lunch after running errands and this place gets busy!! A small crowd waiting for the shop to open and I noticed while waiting in my order, that the flow of customers were consistent! Dining in and take out was like clockwork! The staff were friendly and service was quick. I enjoyed the Bagger and my cup of soup! It was very tasty and filling. Definitely plan to stop in again to try other menu items.

great sandwich shop in the area, i ordered a turkey on a french roll and it was pretty good reminded me of the sandwiches i get in new york. i need to come back and try other sandwiches but my experience with the turkey was good.

Great little sandwich shop near my work. I love to come here. I liked con pane a lot too but gourmet bagger has great prices. The best touch is the cookie they give with every order. It really elevates the experience honestly. I highly recommend if you're looking for a great sandwich shop for a good price also. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating.

Service was really nice. It was my first time there and the cashier was very genuine and made some recommendations. I ordered her first recommended salad which was the gala chicken salad with raspberry vinaigrette. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The grilled chicken was served warm over the cold fresh veggies. Each salad or sandwich comes with a delicious chocolate chip cookie and a hard candy, I am a fan

Hands down one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. They are so friendly here and quick. Every order comes with a small cookie which was delicious and they have giant cookies for purchase do yourself a favor and pick up and giant cookie. The bread was amazing we drove 10 minutes before we ate and the bread was not soggy. All I can say is I cannot wait to come back here. Delicious fresh refreshing and could go on and on

We really like this place. We come and visit my daughter a couple of times a year and we always go here for lunch at least a couple times while we're here. Great service, good food and of course beautiful weather to sit outside.

Went here about a week ago and YUM! The staff were so kind and accommodating and the sandwiches were delicious!! We got the Gourmet Grinder with no cheese and the Killer Klub. The Gourmet Grinder was great but I'm still thinking about the Killer Klub a week later. The bacon was so crispy and there was just the right amount of everything--on top of all that, it was also triple decker...c'mon. Super cute place with tons of options and lots of seating. Each sandwich also came with a free chocolate chip cookie, we will definitely be back!

We had Gourmet Bagger for a large work event. Our organization placed a huge order which was picked up for our working lunch. Everyone's name and order was accurately captured on the brown bag, it was very professionally and accurately done. I was really impressed with how fresh the bread was on my meatball sub. I loved how the meatball was chopped up to keep it all in the sammich and nothing can fall out and create a mess. The sammich was delicious, and I'd absolutely want to explore more of GB's menu. The chocolate chip cookie that came with my sammich was still warm when we dug in and it was super delicious, if you told me it was homemade I would believe it. Awesome lunch!

This place is not only an institution, they have stood the test of time. This location continues to make delicious and filling sandwiches, while maintaining a level of service comforting the mind and soothing the stomach. (Did I mention they give you a cookie too).

The food was awesome, but I was charged $24.00 for a sandwich and chips. I dont know why it was so high and of course, I said no receipt. Only found out because I looked at the bank statement.

Checked this place out during my lunch break. It was alright. I got the bagger cheesesteak sandwich, which is just like a philly cheesesteak. It was solid, but portion wise was kinda small for the price. They do give a small cookie, which tasted okay..was a bit dry. Sandwich tasted solid. Good cheese, good beef, good peppers. It was just pretty small for the price. Probably wouldn't come back again cause the value wasn't there. Service was quick and solid though. They could improve the cookie too. Was looking forward to it, but wasn't that special. Rubicon has a solid mini chocolate chip cookie they give with their sandwiches.

Everything from my original review still stands years later. This place is awesome!! I still get the SeaBagger which is a Mahi sandwich. I love that they give you a little chocolate chip cookie with your sammich.

I am an OB local - I had never been here before ! I decided to stop in before going shopping at Sprouts. The sandwich was a very good size, and the bread was amazing. They also give you a cookie with your order.

Ordered from here with some coworkers on a day I was lazy and didn't bring lunch. I ordered the incredible bagger which is: turkey, cream cheese, mayo, bacon, sprouts, tomatoes, avocado on 12 grain bread. I wanted a cookie but at $5.49 I couldn't do it. Food shows up and I am starving and I ate this sandwich so fast. It was delicious! I had been worried the cream cheese could be overwhelming but it was perfect! After eating this sandwich for many days after I thought of it and wanted to go back. The only down side was the bacon. It was super salty (I know bacon is salty but in my personal opinion bacon that is less expensive or of a lower quality is saltier). Also to my surprise it came with what I assume is a mint-I don't like mint flavor so I didn't even try it and a cookie! The cookie was tasty too. Overall I enjoyed my sandwich and will eat here in the future but it is on the pricey side. My sandwich was $11.49 + tax and the $2 delivery fee (when spread out among other people isn't bad). I think to qualify for delivery it is a $30 minimum. I am also not sure of the delivery area. My work is off Morena.

My college years were spent in the Point Loma area in the 90's and the Gourmet Bagger was always my go to sandwich shop. So, you can imagine my joy when I moved back after 20 years and discovered they were still there for me to enjoy. Yes! Not only are they still creating the best sandwiches in San Diego but their customer service is just as good as their food. I have used GB for personal and corporate use and they always deliver a superior product. Every is entitled to their opinion (Yelp is here for that) but you'll be hard pressed to disagree with how good this shop and the people are. The shop itself has a quaint feel and a cool SD vibe to it. Every time I go there are people eating in the shop but I'm a takeout guy myself. Recently, I used them for an event with 80 people and everyone loved their lunch. I'm a huge fan and will continue to waive the Gourmet Bagger flag.

After shopping in Point Loma we stopped in the gourmet bagger for a quick lunch. It's an order at the counter kind of place with the menu posted on the wall. Plenty of hot & cold sandwiches, salads and beverages to choose from. We shared a hot philly cheesesteak sandwich and a chicken salad with passion fruit iced teas. Service is great. Server will bring food to your table when order is ready. Nothing fancy, but food is good and plentiful.

I wanted a great homemade turkey sandwich and they exceeded my expectations! Great friendly staff (seemed like family) although they were busy service was quick with a smile! Menu said turkey breast and it was! No slimy pressed meat here! Tables inside or outside. Gotta try their grilled burgers or hotdogs next! Probably tomorrow!

Came here a month ago. They were pretty busy but I've heard and seen nothing but good things/reviews of this place. The line moved pretty fast and I didn't wait too long at all. So it was my first time here and I didn't know what to get so I asked for a recommendation...the cashier was super kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I definitely appreciated him, I got his recommendation. I wish I could remember what it was but I'm definitely going back next time I'm in town. Lol 10/10 recommend ! Atmosphere: mom and pop shop- they get you your food and you can be on your way or dine in however the place is a little small. There is parking there and a decent amount since they're close to many other stores.

Little hidden gem worth a try. Overall great sandwich place but wish they had bigger sandwiches. The staff are pleasant and seem like there's a army of people making sandwiches in the back. Will go again to try different sandwiches. Cookies are must try.

Just like my pervious review stated, when I am near I HAVE to get a sandwich! I was staying close by for a little staycation and ate there every day! The staff is very nice, the store is clean, however the sandwich sized definitely got smaller, but the price stayed the same.... Not much to complain about, I definitely will be eating there again, and again....as long as I am in the area.

EXCELLENT sandwiches. No photos, sorry. Next time. I had the Incredible Bagger which was delicious. It's made with turkey, bacon, mayo, cream cheese, sprouts, tomato, and avocado on brown 12 grain bread. I could live without the sprouts but overall, it's a terrific sandwich. It comes with a freshly cooked chocolate chip cookie. And a mint. Those are nice touches. It's a smallish shop in a strip mall. There's seating inside and out. The interior was very clean and modern looking. There's a ton of free parking in the lot. Yes, the lot gets a little busy but I can't imagine not being able to find a spot if you drive around a little. I'd happily return to try anything and everything on the menu.

Stopped in here on a whim cause a sandwich sounded good. Got the Turkey Grinder - I don't have a photo of it but it wasn't necessarily the most aesthetically pleasing sandwich I've ever seen BUT it was pretty tasty. It also came out LIGHTNING fast like my total time from stepping foot inside to leaving with the sammy was MAYBE 5 minutes so 5/5 for service. It's located near a lot of other businesses so there's plenty of parking spots. The price point on this sandwich was also great, $10.99. I'll definitely be back to try a different sandwich on their menu!

Delicious and fast food at gourmet quality. Everything you need for a quick lunch on a busy workday. The cheerful lady at the register gave me the house favorite (it was my first time there), and then remembered my name and came up to me and see if I liked it- Fantastic Customer service! She seemed to remember the names and orders of all the regulars there and everyone was in a great mood. I highly recommend!

I can't rave about the Gourmet Bagger enough! Their cookies are ADDICTING and their sandwiches are never a miss! Plus, the portion size is large! I've been their twice in the last month, and I'm sure I'll go by another time not before long. Their service is always kind. I've always ordered my sandwich to-go, it's a pit stop on my way to a hike or a picnic. I appreciate how wide their selection is.. I'll be making my way through the menu before long. I've ordered the Incredible Bagger and the Turkey Day & Day Sandwich (it has cranberries and stuffing!). You need to order this Thanksgiving leftover meal!

The bread was fresh which is the first step to a great sandwich. I bought the California BLT Sandwich, Tuna Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich. My daughter, wife and I had no complaints. My friend who works across the street from here bought 4 sandwiches for him and his family. The service was fast and friendly. They had a few tables inside and a couple outside but nothing fancy. I don't think you can be disappointed with the quality. You pay for what you get.

The sandwich is here are usually good. I really liked having the cheesesteak sandwich. But I don't know I went there today and I got a turkey grinder sandwich. It wouldn't be so bad if the bread wasn't soggy to where I touch it with my hand and the bread pulls apart because it's so wet and Unsure about the micro greens but it taste like somebody probably didn't wash their hands correctly cause it taste soap. Might try again but it's looking iffy. Really NICE Service and staff tho.

Ok California.... I got gripes. The letters can sum up my dysfunction. B-L-T That stands for Bacon Lettuce & Tomato. It is the perfect sandwich. Even the name is perfect. It lists the ingredients so if you have trouble when you get to the pantry you can figure it out. Why the freak do California Deli's try to obscure this perfect as it is delicacy? They list the "California BLT" adding cream chz and avocado!!? What and why!? Firstly... avocado does not want to be sandwiched. It never fails to slide out and try to escape... save that shit for your millennial contribution to the gastronomical bill of rights "the avocado toast" a BLT has 3 ingredients. And to get a BLT here you need to order a completely different sandwich and have them omit half the ingredients to create a BLT. Asinine. My BLT was gross. Thin cut bacon was charred and crumbled into bacon bits. I asked for new bacon but that is just how they do it here they said... which is fine. It's a terrible thing to do to bacon, but that is how people want it here they say. I also ordered the pastrami bagger which was acceptable but nothing special.
