The Ultimate Guide to Celebrating Hanukkah in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2023 | Eater SF

"An East Bay kosher staple, Grand Bakery will sell its usual items (challah, sufganiyot, Hamentashen cookies, and more) even as the bakery is up for sale; orders can be picked up on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m." - Paolo Bicchieri

We got an Engagement Party cake and it was fabulous! Everyone at the party said it was one of the best cakes ever! We were so happy with the cake and the service!

Rude staff. My family has ordered their cakes for several years for our birthdays and when we called this week to order one (on what was not very short notice for a CAKE), the lady laughed in our face. Absolutely rude. Cakes not that good anyways. We will not be going back.

We love the Grand Bakery - they literally do it all! We've taken their Christmas cookie decorating class, stopped by for treats, and the best of all - The Grand Bakery made our wedding cake! Not only was it a beautiful cake, but it also tasted so good, our guests ate the ENTIRE cake! We highly recommend The Grand Bakery for all of your baked good needs. It's a sweet small town bakery with quality you wouldn't believe!

I messaged them about doing a cake for me, sent them a picture and they responded with, I'll show it to Tayler in the morning. This was Thursday. Still no response and this is Saturday! Not very good customer service!

The sourdough cinnamon rolls are unbelievable! Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had In my life! Raven, Taylor, and Pam did a great job with Service and the place is really clean and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

This family owned business is fantastic! I ordered our wedding cake from Taylor and it was the best cake I have had in a long time. The attention to detail was second to none and the price point was like nowhere else. I highly recommend this business and can not wait to see them take Dadeville by storm. They have a really cute waitress called Chandler as well!

I absolutely love this place. Very nice people, nice cozy atmosphere, good pricing and hours of operation. Especially during lunch break in Dadeville. The cookies are a dream too.

Yelp
5 STARS ISN'T ENOUGH! If heaven had a smell, it would be the inside of The Grand Bakery. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with the warm scent of freshly baked sourdough cinnamon rolls and the even warmer smiles of Pam and Taylor, the incredible owners who pour their hearts (and magic) into every single treat. Let's talk sourdough cinnamon rolls. They are, hands down, the best I've ever had. Fluffy, tangy, perfectly sweet, with just the right amount of gooey cinnamon swirl. I dream about these things. The cupcakes and cookies? Each one tastes like it was made just for you--like it somehow knows what kind of day you're having and wants to make it better. Soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet--just perfectly balanced. But where this bakery really shines is their custom cakes!! I ordered one for a friend's birthday and it was not only stunning to look at but insanely delicious. Moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated--people were asking me where it came from all night. And I can't say enough about Pam and Taylor as well as the rest of their staff. They're not just talented bakers--they're kind, passionate, and genuinely care about every customer who walks through the door. You can feel the love in their work, and it makes the whole experience unforgettable. Anyone that says anything different about this bakery, clearly does not know what they are talking about. Pam and Taylor are the real deal. Their products are consistently delicious, their shop is welcoming, and their passion for baking shines through in every bite. Some people just don't have good taste--or good tastebuds! The Grand Bakery is a gem, and Pam and Taylor are the heart of it. Do yourself a favor: skip the big chain bakeries and come here. Support local. Eat better. Be happier.

Yelp
The most scamming and unprofessional business I've ever encountered. We made an invoice for two cakes, two dozen specialty cookies and one dozen regular cookies. She sent it to me an email & I approved it but the link wasn't working so she said it was ok to just pay in person. On the day at the party, I was busy so my father went to pick it up and when he returned I saw the bill was almost $150 more so I reached out to ask why such a big discrepancy, whereupon she sent me a new bill for two cake, FOUR dozen specialty cookies and no regular cookies (and forgot to do the decorative features on one cake that I ordered) and said "here's your bill". When I said that's not my order you made a mistake and owe my money back she proceeded to ignore and gaslight me until I got upset and had to demand a refund whereupon she agreed saying "people make mistakes" & would give me the refund; however she never refunded me blocked me on Facebook so that I can't message anymore, and my review on there would be taken away and has yet to give the refund! On top of trying to force me to pay over $100 in extra cookies I didn't order, there was another $43 charge they claimed my elderly father willingly tipped the check out girl, for doing a good job handing him the cookies I guess, which is insane & bordering elderly abuse and not something that would ever happen on purpose! Furthermore, this isn't even the first time something like this happened with them because the first time I ever corresponded with them I was asking about their cookies and their prices and things and then a couple of days later they contacted me and said hey your cookies are ready and I said what are you talking about and they had placed an order for me to get a dozen cookies when I had never confirmed the order. I just was talking to the girl on the phone asking questions and she said oh can you turn on the lights in the well we could make you a dozen assorted cookies so you could taste our cookies and I said oh that's a good idea maybe to be nice but never intended to place an order. So it seems like they have a habit of just making extra / unordered things and relying on the kindness of people who just say oh that's fine I'll take them anyway. So please anyone beware of this bakery, they're not out to make clients or treat their customers right their business model seems to be to swindle you out of as much money as possible by making extra, making mistakes and forcing the customer to pay for it. And I'm sure they're gonna do everything they can and create a new business in yelp or whatever to get out of this review also .. but the people deserve to know this as well as how rude and evil they are for being this way and if they don't refund me I'm happily reporting them to the Better Business Bureau or filing a small claims against them because I have all the supporting documentation to back up everything!
