My partner and I (both in our mid-50s) recently enjoyed our very first stay at The Grand Brighton, and we’re already talking about when we can return. This was a bit of a treat for us—a short seaside getaway—and The Grand certainly lived up to its name.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the building’s classic charm. There’s a real sense of history to the place, but it’s been beautifully maintained and tastefully updated where needed. The check-in process was warm and efficient, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished + air con. The bed was very comfortable (we slept incredibly well), and little touches like proper tea and coffee-making facilities and quality toiletries didn’t go unnoticed.
Breakfast was generous and well-prepared, with a good range of options. We particularly appreciated the vegetarian choices and the fact that everything was hot and fresh.
We also took advantage of the hotel bar for evening drinks, and it was lovely—relaxed atmosphere, good service, and a nice spot to unwind after a day of exploring the Lanes and strolling along the pier.
This was our first visit to The Grand, and Brighton in general, but certainly not our last. We felt well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended for couples looking for a bit of seaside elegance with a personal touch.
