The Grand Brighton

Our visit to The Grand Brighton was for our wedding anniversary. From check-in through our two night stay, we cannot find fault with the welcome and attention we received from all your staff. All the staff showed us respectful, friendly and efficient service, which made us feel very at home in the Hotel. The Hotel was very busy, yet we never experienced any delays in service or lack of seating in the Bar, for example, when required. Table service was very good. When dining in Cyan, we found the staff very attentive and the food excellent. Our experience leaves us with the belief that The Grand is very well run, by staff who enjoy their work and strive to deliver hospitality which exceeds the expectations of their guests. Thank you for making our anniversary so very special.

We stayed at The Grand Brighton over the New Year period for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The Penhaligon’s toiletries were a lovely touch and smelled divine. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and had a beautiful three-course meal in the hotel’s Cyan restaurant. The location is excellent within easy walking distance of the beach, pier, and a great selection of shops and restaurants. The only downside was that there doesn’t seem to be a way to close the room doors quietly, so we were frequently woken by the sound of banging doors, particularly in the mornings during checkout. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would happily return.

First time back at the Grand in 20 years. I stayed Sunday 15th February 2026. Good and bad points. The room was nice, excellent fittings and a comfortable bed. My first room had a terrible vibrating noise in it and I was moved quickly and efficiently into another room. The door man was great warm welcome and very helpful. So all good there. Bar staff - not good - I sat at the bar on Sunday night along a few other people while two serving staff just talked to each other and ignored me until someone new arrived, noticed me and came over. Then once sat at the bar with my drink a waiter decided to make up two large glasses of wine right in front of me rather than finding a spot on the very long bar where he could have done it without clanking glasses and bottles six inches from my face. Breakfast- £20 for self serve breakfast! with dried out black pudding. Not good enough for the money. Finally the carpet on the stairs has great chunks of carpet tape covering over rips. Not a classy look. So all in all not as grand as it thinks it is. I won't be back.

I’m just reviewing the restaurant, we didn’t stay there. We went for Sunday roast and it was so great! Massive portions and such delicious food, really great value for money! Lovely and kind staff too! Only down side was the menu contained the calories of each dish, and it was a lotttt, so that may be a problem if you’re sensitive to that info.

Location perfect Very historic hotel Staff Very professional, efficient and pleasant. Our room was delightful. Spacious, clean and well presented. We arrived early for check-in expecting to leave our bags in storage, but to our great delight our room was only a few minutes from being ready. Breakfast is buffet self service. With omelets being made to order while you wait. Plenty of choices and very well prepared. My only criticism is that the pool area is a chargeable cost. Very disappointed in that. I would of expected access to be included in the hotel room costs. Other than that a very enjoyable stay.

The concierge men were very lovely and welcoming at the door very helpful. The bedroom wasn’t bad but there was few issues, the bathroom the tap took a while to get hot, the water was not flowing down plug hole. Shower you had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for it to get hot, the coffee machine would’ve been nice if it had the choices of milk and water to put into the coffee machine, there was two bottles of water one still one sparkly in the fridge But didn’t want to put that in the coffee machine could be improved, bed very comfy it was okay for the night, not sure if I would go back again.

We stayed for two nights at the Grand and and loved it, it is a beautiful hotel with so many fine details. The staff are all friendly and the service is great. We used the spa there was amazing and we'd thoroughly recommend it. The food we ordered during our stay was a really high quality and we were treated so well by all staff. We are already hoping to come back.

Excellent rooms, service and food. Utterly brilliant in every way. I have to say our initial room was a dud, room 114, which I think should not be offered to guests. But they quickly fixed that by allocating us to another room on request. We will definately be staying at The Grand again.
