The Grand Hotel

Loved my stay at this hotel for a wedding this weekend. The rooms were beautiful, especially the larger room my son and daughter in law had. It was well worth the additional cost having a living area and fridge. My queen room next door was also lovely. The walk in shower was great. Nice water pressure and hot water. Bed and bedding was comfy. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Location was perfect. Loved the free parking so close by. Would love to stay here again.

This is our second time staying at The Grand Hotel and we will definitely be back! The amenities, rooms, and the ambience are absolutely amazing. All of the staff are so nice and very accommodating. JP and Trey at the Lounge were stand outs during our stay. JP was very personable and made the experience memorable! He made the best old fashioned! We had reservations at Rick’s for brunch and dinner which was incredible - definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel and room. So charming! Beds are comfortable, it was very clean, right in town to walk to everything, and the room service for breakfast was cheaper than anything around town. Staff was so friendly and we loved this place. One of the best hotels we have ever been to.

My best friend from high school was married Oct 5, 2025, this is where we stayed. The hotel was great. Beds were very comfy, shower was small could only fit one person, and could use a little updating. The parking was a disaster for someone traveling from a distance because it is in the middle of the main downtown area and this area is "happening" and THAT was a plus because once you finally find a parking spot you will not want or need to leave, as there are many shops, boutiques, cafes, and taverns for whatever you like. The service was amazing! Overall the only negative is the parking.

Even though I arrived very late when getting my room to my surprise the room was nice, clean and. distinguishing. It had a very old vibe but met all the criteria for a great night sleep. I would have enjoyed the bar to stay open to a minimum of 2am but we missed the entertainment. The coffee in the morning was strong the way I prefer and the service was good.

The Grand Hotel is magnificent, truly a hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere hit me as 1st class. There is an extremely soothing fragrance to the entire property. The rooms are complete luxury. The linens are those suited for royalty. The only thing that could be improved is having valet parking when you check in to the hotel. There is valet for patrons to Ricks during dinner hours. The only parking is public parking. It is very very close to the property. Otherwise, I can not say enough wonderful things about the Grand Hotel. The atmosphere in the bar at Rick’s was so relaxing. The downtown McKinney area is amazing. It felt like I was walking down the sidewalk in a Hallmark movie. I absolutely can not wait to come back.

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed every moment. It’s right in the heart of old downtown McKinney Square. Most notable is the friendliness of staff and how clean everything is. The decor is a perfect balance of charm and sophistication, and yet not contemptuous. Due to its location, there are several great options in terms of dining, and this would also include Rick’s, which is a part of the hotel. The bonus for us is the live music. In terms of pricing, it’s very fair in value. The bed, mattress and boxspring deserve some attention. It might just simply be about a personal preference, but it felt like it could use an upgrade. Will most certainly come back here and recommend others to do the same. Thanks for a nice day.
