Inside Chef José Andrés Big Restaurant Return to Downtown Los Angeles - Eater LA

"Airlight, a poolside deck situation with snacks and drinks — think tiki punch bowls and grilled meat skewers, for those looking to lounge along the water between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m." - Farley Elliott

Here Are Chef José Andrés’ Two Other Restaurant Openings in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"A Frank Gehry–designed mixed-use development located across from the Disney Concert Hall that houses the new hotel and its restaurant cluster; notable for prominent hilltop placement and its role as a significant new cultural and hospitality landmark in Downtown." - Farley Elliott

Living here has become a nightmare we never imagined. We moved in believing it would bring comfort, dignity, safety, and stability for our family, but instead we’ve been met with neglect, unfair and unjust actions against us, broken promises, and a silence that feels deliberately cruel. From the very start, our household was split apart — even though we qualified for a 1, 2, or even 3-bedroom unit, we were placed in the smallest studio in the building and two family members had to give up signing the lease and moving in. Our income was inflated during certification, forcing us into the highest rent tier, and we were promised it would be “easy” to upgrade later, which turned out to be just one of many lies. Management refuses to move us to a larger unit, not even offering a 1-bedroom as a temporary fix, leaving us cramped and uncomfortable. Since moving in, rent has been raised three times in under two years, including two increases just weeks apart with the first increase hitting us even before the 12 months lease completion. Our 2024 recertification paperwork again showed inflated income and missing household members. Over a year ago we reported a documented 15% income drop — yet management and the landlord still to this date, refuse to record it, trapping us in the highest rent bracket in the smallest studio while trying to pressure us into signing incorrect paperwork under threat of wrongful eviction. An elderly, disabled family member has been waiting over a year for approved live-in caregivers to move in. The accommodation was approved back in 2024, yet the landlord refuses to issue the move-in paperwork. This is about someone’s health and dignity, but instead of acting they’ve left it on indefinite hold while ignoring every single email, every single plea. Since Fall 2023, strong second-hand smoke from a neighbor’s unit has been entering our home, and despite repeated requests for help, we have been ignored or worse, asked to “preserve” toxic smoke for their own so-called verification. Our one and only tiny window barely cracks open an inch, forcing us to blast the AC and tape our own filters to the vents. What hurts most is the complete silence — the property manager, Christina, has never acknowledged a single email in over six months, not one, and even the Director of Compliance, Mia, has stopped responding entirely. Imagine paying rent always on time while being a perfect tenant but having a landlord who refuses to communicate. We watch our elderly family member suffer without the approved care they need, we live in fear of the next rent increase, and we keep overpaying for the smallest studio at the highest rent tier. The message is clear: they want us so uncomfortable and desperate and mentally and emotionally and psychologically compromised so we just pack and move out. For a property that claims to serve vulnerable residents, this is not just mismanagement — it is inhumane.

Pretty basic and not too tasty for cost. Too much butter used. Looks fancy, and great atmosphere, but not a scrumptious or hearty meal

I have been trying to reach Mia Barrera for the affordable unit because I got declined and wanted to know the reason. I have had no luck, I call their phone number that’s online and they tell me to send an email. I have sent multiple emails but still no reply.

Well just look at my view from the 18th floor this is a lovely place they have FHA apartments available for those with low income this is just a regular residential building but they do have certain perks for people with set incomes so it's amazing why aren't you here? They go with 30 40 and 50% mediums so everyone qualifies right they have accessible and affordable housing let's go see you when you get here 🤗🤩😉
