We recently hosted our company summer outing at this fantastic venue, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Vinny and Nick were incredibly accommodating from start to finish—responsive to every email and flexible with our event needs. The space itself is spacious, modern, and has excellent acoustics, making it perfect for large gatherings. The food was top notch—our group enjoyed a delicious spread including raw bar selections, sandwiches, and pizza, and everyone raved about it. The drink menu was just as impressive, with a wide variety of options and a full bar to please all preferences. Throughout the night, Vinny and Nick continually checked in with us, offering assistance with setup and suggesting alternative shaded areas to help our guests beat the summer heat. From seating to logistics, they made sure everything ran smoothly. We would highly recommend hosting an event here—it’s a top-tier experience all around!

First time going to The Great American Beer Hall was an amazing experience. Huge TVs, great outdoor area (with even an outdoor TV which was my favorite), easy ordering at the bar (despite it being crowded they had plenty of workers so hardly ever had to wait). This is exactly what this area has needed. Love that you can order as needed (you're not waited on) and the food options are great (had a pizza which was fantastic but many other food options looked fantastic too). Would maybe love the audio inside playing the main TV but understand why music is played too. Can't wait to go back as this is my new go to place!

Great place to hang out with friends on a Saturday afternoon. Kind of in a random location -- I wish it was closer to my apartment! We played uno and cornhole and had a few drinks. I would definitely come back.

Was on beerchella festival. Lots of local beer and was a decent event. The entry was little too expensive for what was on offering. Not worth the money but otherwise ok. It wasn’t very crowded and in fact much less than what I had originally anticipated.

Google
Fun and lively modern atmosphere. The pizza was good. They have mixed drinks and wine too! We had a great event on the balcony! They have TV's to use for presentations. Nick Dowling helped coordinate the food and set up. He was very available to help us and bending over backward to help with needs. We made our events now monthly due to the service Nick gives us. Recently, we encountered Eric at the Lantern, and he was very friendly and helpful. When I asked for something, he was right there with it and followed up. Erik's service was exception and appreciated. Great hire, Vinny!!!

Wow!! I went here for the live music on a Thursday night and was VERY impressed! Cosmic Rush was the local band and it made the atmosphere even better. Let’s just say I came for the music and stayed for the beer. My only wish is they had smaller food portions for 1-2 people! Can’t get a slice but can order a whole pizza 🤷🏼‍♀️

We recently hosted a private event at Great American Beer Hall, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The space itself is incredible – spacious and perfect for both mingling and relaxing. The patio was a huge hit with our guests, offering a great atmosphere and plenty of room to enjoy the weather. The food was amazing – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From start to finish, the event planning process was smooth and stress-free. The event planner was incredibly easy to work with – responsive, flexible, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great venue with top-notch food and service. We'll definitely be back!

Great first-time experience!! Our work had an event there on a Thursday night. Vinny was great!! Very professional, super responsive and went above and beyond to make sure all of our party had fun. Food was delicious!! Highly recommend the crab Rangoon and pizza!! The band that played later in the evening kept the event going!!!

Yelp
Great experience here first time! We came here because of the live band karaoke with our favorite band Five minutes of fame (FMOF). They gave a huge parking lot so we were able to get free parking although there weee a few spots left by the time we got here which was around 8pm. This is a massive hall with food/drink counters on each side and a large stage upfront. There weee long tables and also some high tables for seating. On the other side there is some couch seating closer to the outdoor space. The outdoor space is quite pretty with grass and string lights. There is also an upstairs roof deck seating. You scan the menu code and place your order online. Then your food comes out on the counter. I ordered the orange ginger chicken rice bowl - I had visions of orange chicken in my head but the menu said grilled chicken so I was glad. It was actually quite good and it had the chicken, mandarin oranges, cucumbers and shredded carrots over jasmine rice and came with a lime. Very tasty and portion was just right. The hubs got the Korean spicy short ribs rice bowl which was really good too! And of course music with the live band was great! Fun time singing along to the songs! Fun atmosphere in the place! Service was good. Overall great experience and we'll be back if the band plays here again for sure!

Yelp
Went there with a friend and expected to be overwhelmed. I was not. To start, bartender had no knowledge of what beers tasted like? Two the tables were wet and sticky. The food and beer was as expensive as a nice sit down restaurant. And the food, very average. We went up stairs to get away from the noise and the lights were off, kinda odd and no one to clean tables there. You order everything from the table app and then go pick it up. There are far better places to drink, this is not it. I will pass on a return.

Yelp
The beer hall is big and could use some staff to clean in between customers, the floor and tables were sticky on a Sunday when we came in the later afternoon. This was my first time brought my out of town friend for a sampling of local beers. She chose the beer flights and loved the peanut butter and jelly sampling but that's all I remember of the four samplings. They have cocktails and wine, thankfully, so I ordered a wine and fortunately it was good. Many times breweries fall short on other selections for gluten free plus they have nonalcoholic options and as well. I liked the Sunday vibe laid back with families and would return for the gluten free pizza at The Lantern. It was delicious and so rare for a brewery to have these options. They have an outdoor game area and an upstairs deck making it a nice place to gather but the lack of staff in cleaning and general security with such a large area give me pause. Overall a great place to come if you like this kind of venue. I could see myself coming back for music or a game. Hope they can hire more staff in the future or maybe it's just the Sunday low key day but that'd be a plus on top of all the good I saw here on my first visit. Worth trying especially for the GF pizza.

Yelp
I came here on a Patriots football Sunday. It was a nice day and there were people starting to fill up the inside and outside spaces. This place is huge! There is a good combination of low table seating, high-top tables, and standing room. I wish the low-top tables were narrower, if you're sitting across from someone, you can't actually hear them talking, so you have to sit side by side. We had a pepperoni pizza and the buffalo wings. I didn't try the wings because I was full, but my friend really liked them. The pizza was tasty. You have to order with the QR code via Toast and they tell you when to pick up the food at a counter. I'm not a huge beer person, so I tried some wine and had a couple of mimosas. I looked at the website before going and it says they have a full bar, but it doesn't seem like they know how to make drinks. One bartender even said that they shouldn't be making mimosas because they aren't on the menu (the cocktail menu has 6 drinks only), but other bartenders were making them for me (one, with ice - yikes). So, I'm confused, if they have a full bar (which they do have things like rye, Aperol, etc), are they not allowed to serve certain drinks? My friend got a Jack and coke (2 ingredient drink that's not on the menu), but one bartender didn't want to make a mimosa (2 ingredient drink that's not on the menu). I know this place just opened, but you have to make up your mind. Either carry spirts and teach your bartenders how to mix drinks, or just be a beer and wine bar. The other thing they should get a hold of quickly is the sound system. At first, they were playing music (at varying levels), and then they finally switched on the sound for the Pats game, to the cheers of patrons. What they should learn to do (that many sports bars have perfected), is have the sound on for the game and switch to music during the commercials. Yes, that means someone who works there has to be paying attention, but if you can hire security to be there at 12 Noon on a Sunday, you can probably give someone the task of the sound system during peak games (Pats, Sox, Celtics, Bruins, speciality games/fights). These tips are because I want this place to succeed. This could easily be changed to a 4 or 5 star review if they make some minor changes. Again, it's a newer spot, so I hope they continue to learn and grow over time. I'd be happy to check it out again.

Yelp
Based on a Sunday Patriots game watch party recently, this is a splendid venue, with indoor and outdoor spaces blending seamlessly, gigantic screens, a lawn for sunny days, kids, and pets, and endless taps of a great variety of beers. We didn't eat but did watch as big nachos platters and pizzas were served throughout the cavernous space, with animated groups scarfing said items. I'd read the odd review here and there but I was unprepared by the spectacle, pomp, and circumstance in person. Just hope that it will survive winter doldrums in Medford.

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink and food. The beer menu is extensive and will cater to everyone. The interior was decorated for Christmas and I hope they keep it up with a rotation. The pizza is a little pricey but it was baked well and the wait wasn't too long. There's plenty of seating and tables for large groups.

Yelp
This cool new beer hall just recently opened in Medford, MA. I was excited to try it out as I saw it online and heard some hype about it. Well yes it is a big space with tables and chairs. They have a nice outdoor area with high top tables, lawn chairs and some games like corn hole, jenga and others. There was great music playing the night I went. I was pretty underwhelmed by the beer selections though. I heard they had 100 or over beers on tap and it did not seem like there were 100. They had some cool local beers I never had before and some beers that are wel known. They also have some liquor, I did not try any hard drinks this time. The space itself has 2 very big screen tvs. Great for catching any games. I wish there was a tv outside. They had only pizza place open when I was there I did not try it but saw some tables with it and it looked tasty. I was shocked to see a child there at the time I was there. Which was around 9pm. There is deff room for improvement at this place as it is soo brand new. My friend told me that they are working on the second level to have more seating and all. I would try this place out again. It is in an industrial area of Medford. This seems to be a dog friendly place as I saw two or three when I was there in the outdoor section.

Yelp
Came in early Thursday with my mom to show her the cool new bar! I've really enjoyed this place since coming to town about a month ago. A plus is parking!! I had a blueberry sour and my mom had a cider. The blueberry was mediocre and not sour, not sure if it got mixed up with the blueberry beer and not the sour. Didn't enjoy it but paid for it and will drink it. Mom got a cider and it was simple. We just came for the best vibes. It is seriously so much fun. The service was nice, just went up to the bar and order!

Yelp
This beer hall has room for improvements. The beer collection is limited, but sufficient for my preferences. Service? What's that? You have to get your own beer (and lose your seat) and pick up your pizza (the only food choice available) at the counter. Staff is very friendly, but besides tagging you with a wrist band after showing your ID and collecting used dishes, they don't do a lot. So I wonder what's the tip for? If it wasn't walking distance of my office, I wouldn't consider it again.

Yelp
Was really excited for this opening but slightly disappointed. 100 taps were promised and that is definitely not the case. Also there was a full bar behind the bar but not on the menu. I assume that's coming. The only food option is mostly just pizza but the pizza was very good. Was very happy with how it came out but I was really hoping for more of a variety. But very busy. Full or people and I have high hopes.

Yelp
Great selection of different craft brews, some you can't find in other places so that's very nice. The nachos were Just ok though, I wish the toppings were more spread out and it was pretty spicy tho there wasn't any mention of that on the menu. This would prob be a great spot to watch sports games since they have large projections and tvs

Yelp
Awesome addition to Medford on a road with previously not much food/drink scene. Always packed on weekends and football, which is tough for such a large space. Fantastic rotating beers on tap from all around New England and the pizza and wings are fantastic. Nice outdoor space with a deck. Could use a few smaller TVs in addition to the large projectors. I'm already a regular.

Yelp
Stopped here tonight with my wife. The place was very cool inside, with a great seating area outside. It was very slow while we were there. Honestly didn't get a great vibe from the staff. The menu was a bit pricey. We ordered the nachos, which were $25. We both thought they were fair, at best. The beer selection is decent. I also had a issue while paying my bar tab. The bartender used my credit card to pay for someone else's bill. She was very apologetic and called a manager to correct the mistake. If I go back, it will be with friends to watch a sporting event.

Yelp
Went for the first time on a Saturday night and had fun! Great beer list, huge TVs, live music, lots of parking, indoor/outdoor, no frills - love it. It was busy and still didn't feel crowded because the venue is so large, however it's so spacious and industrial that when it's not busy I could see it feeling awkwardly empty and desolate They have pricey beer, which wasn't a surprise. The restaurant (that's inside the hall but technically a separate entity) mostly just serves pizza, which was delicious. My one big complaint - I got 2 tiny sides of ranch and they charged $4!! I can get a bottle of ranch for $2.50 lol

Yelp
Food: Pepperoni pizza was really good! Also, they had a good selection of drinks at the bar. Service: Food and drinks were fast. Ambiance: Loud for sure, but very spacious. Both outdoor and indoor seating included. The place is new as well so it seemed pretty clean inside.
google avatar

Yelp
3.5 stars but I rounded up to 4 since this place is brand new and there is room for improvement. The space was large, but there were only 2 large projector screens. I did appreciate that there was a good mix of local craft beers and national brands, but there really were not enough draft options. It is seat yourself, counter service. It didn't seem at first that we'd get a table, but after walking around for a few minutes, one opened up. We got a pepperoni pizza which was good (it was the kind of pepperoni that cups). Personally, this is not really a destination for me, but I can absolutely see myself going again after a hard day of shopping at Assembly Row or if there is a live band playing. They need more tv's and maybe a curfew for kids. I also felt the drinks were overpriced. I saw it was $9 for a can of High Noon, yikes?!

Yelp
What do you get when you cross a brewery, an airport hanger, and a Chuck-E. Cheese? Ok, so they were going for volume on multiple levels. The place is gigantic. And vibe-wise just kind of looks like a fine place to park your vintage DC-10. It's got an enormous Southwest facing glass wall which means you're blinded by the sun for the latter half of the day as there are no shades or tinting. There's outdoor seating too, but not much in the way of shade there either. Maybe you are working on your tan though, so that might suit you just fine. Oh, and there's a couple dozen kindergartners running rampant throughout the place putting toys on the floor and having birthday parties or just ignoring their tipsy parents. I guess people just equate beer consumption with 'great place to bring the kids' now. If you're not looking to go drinking with the toddlers, there's an upstairs area that's 21+, but it's a balcony only, also has no shade, and has speakers playing music so loud you have to shout to be heard across the cocktail table. But maybe you're working on your tinnitus though, so that might suit you just fine too. The beer wasn't half bad. At least the ones I had. Many breweries are a wall of IPAs with a stout or something as an afterthought. But I was pleased I could pick from a decent selection. For food we went with nachos. They weren't great, but they were far from the worst we've had. The nachos were spread out so it wasn't just a glob of toppings covering 6 chips and then a bunch of dry chips around them. You gave them your phone number and they text you when your food is ready so you can go collect it. We saw that you can reserve tables for your larger parties, which is convenient. They have a few cocktails, a couple wines, and a handful of whiskies for the party members who don't care for beer. Honestly, this place seems ideal for a big group of loud friends celebrating raucously. There is parking available, but insufficient for when the hangar is full up. Alternative transportation is advised on Friday/Saturday unless you have that lucky parking gene. If you want a hip little brewery with a trivia night, and a brewmaster who comes out to passionately tell you about their favorite new addition to the menu, this is not that. If you're looking for a big noisy place that can handle a crowd and shows whatever the current game is on a big tv while you drink beer with your buds without making a mess at someone's house, but you don't want to go bowling, then here you are, gents.

Yelp
Not sure if they're still in the soft open phase but place is rough and not worth the $$$. Also not sure if this is maybe a chain bc this is the blandest name I've ever heard. Hell I googled the place, went to the place and I still have no clue if it's a clever corporate chain! Parking is way too small for the capacity, the lot was completely full while the patio and inside were maybe half full and the alleged upstairs isn't even open yet. The space is expansive but when it's full I'm not sure talking to your companion will be possible due to the ceiling height and lack of anything soft (aside from the fake plants of course). With only two awkwardly positioned projection screens even a football Sunday isn't an option since the table we were at only gave 3 of 4 seats a line of sight to the screens, one of those 3 had to slide their chair over significantly. Also speaking of the chairs, they're too tall and they're cheap. Open for two weeks and it felt like one leg was going to break off, sit at a low top when possible. There's a "bouncer" who checks ID but isn't obvious so you're alarmed down when he pops out from behind a bush asking for an ID as a surprise. Also ditch the flimsy plastic wristbands, they're sweaty, ugly and you're too close to the Mystic to use shit like that. No where near 100 taps, poorly designed bar setup. You're funneled into one line immediately on entry where there are 3-4 bartenders with two POS so you wait to order then still have to move down to pay. Bartenders literally told us we had to tap ourselves and then left us while the transaction processed to move on to the no one behind us in line. There are a half dozen other bartenders...maybe? They're just standing 5 meters down not calling people over or anything. Service needs some serious work but can be overlooked since it's still new and those should be the easiest kinks to work out. Every beer screen is on the same page at the same time so when they rotate through (too quickly I might add) you can't just peek at the one next to it so you're forced to hold up the line looking at a printed menu. No suggestions or small talk from the bartender so hopefully you know what you want! Which is really a shame with a list like this from Breweries as well regarded as some on there. No coasters given so those maybe bartenders mostly seem to spend time wiping the counters instead. The glasses were handed over with beer pouring down the sides, no wipe or squirt bottle to clean them up, a pretty basic level of service these days at even a mid level beer bar. There's a host stand who, near as I can tell does nothing. Can I sit down? Do I need to check in? There's a QR code to order? Do I go to the takeaway window to order? Literally nothing about the food ordering process makes sense. Then there's the food itself, we wanted to order but they were out over well over half the menu. At 4pm on a Friday, great omen. And hoo boy the price. Look I get that Medford is "fancy now" but these prices ain't it, especially not when serving a chicken lollipop circa 2011, but looking like it'd seen some shit. NOTE we had actually ordered these but upon seeing the next table over with one we cancelled, they looked horrible. Some of these issues will work themselves out but aside from the selection of beers (some rarer hard to find stuff) this isn't worth it and I'm not sure it will be. The website shows a Hill Farmstead tap handle but guess who didn't have Hill Farmstead? Instead maybe half the tables around us were drinking bottle cans of bud light and Mich Ultra. I was happy to have a Foam and can't say I've seen Vanished Valley or Fox Farm on tap in the greater Boston area so the selection was good, even if underpromised. Then again, guess who did have Hill Farmstead on tap, 2 of them even? Olde Magouns Saloon. Which is where we should have gone in the first place and ultimately back tracked towards. I'll probably be back only bc my soul crushing commute takes me directly past but it's weird and uncomfortable now. There's no option for a solo beer with a book or to screw around on your phone like a traditional bar or beer hall. The place needs to figure out if it wants to be a sports bar or a beer bar or a bar where we do it for the 'gram. Right now it's none of these and there isn't a single factor done well enough to overcome the lack of identity.

Yelp
Can't figure it out... ready to pay $10 plus tip for a Guinness in Medford at a Beer Hall? Lots of other concoctions at a similar price for 16 oz and even 12 oz I just can't afford it Good Luck

Nick M.

Yelp
Great spot, but I don't go as much because of the plastic "glasses". Grow up!!!! Good pizza tho. Grow up!!!!!

Bourbon M.

Yelp
We went here with the family for food and a beer on a Saturday. The beer is good and selection is pretty good. That said for a beer hall I expected at least 60 beers and there was much fewer here, but again the selection was good so long as you are looking for an IPA - they only had 4 stouts with only one that wasn't sugary, Guinness. The food is another story. We order pizza, salad and wings. The pizza was good, a portnoy 7.5 I would say. But the wings were undercooked and mushy. I had to bring them back. I never bring food back but these were pinkish. Not good. The Caesar was also not great. Hard to point out what was wrong with it except it was overall low quality but not terrible.
google avatar

Lily R.

Yelp
They are pretty shit all together. The only real good thing is the beer they get in from the breweries. The service is terrible, the food is awful. The biggest thing is the service and upper management I faced an issue here and received absolutely no help from any of the employees or upper management. Children running around everywhere. I recommend legit any other brewery in the MA area. The ambience is just a grey room thrown in with some tables.

Yelp
Best place in Medford to catch a game, grab a beer or hang out with friends. incredible service and vibe

Yelp
My friends and I went to this place after our rehearsal. It's unlike any place of I've been to. That's not a criticism or compliment, that's just my first impression. They had a very good selection of beer, including some domestic and some foreign. I got my usual blue moon. My friends all got wine, and even I, a non-wine drinker, could see that one of my friends got a bit of a "short pour." One of our friends got the nachos. The plate was HUGE, and we dug into it to help him eat it. (He's a pretty big guy with a pretty healthy appetite, so when he says the nachos were huge, they were huge.) The nachos were fabulous! They had just enough of a "kick" to tantalize your taste buds. We got a couple of pizzas, they were good, but nothing to write home about. Since we were a bunch of olds, we didn't quite grasp the QR code thing. Fortunately, a waitress came by and took our order. She, as well as the rest of the staff, were very friendly. The service and the nachos are a plus. The pizza is a middling, more a plus than a minus. The hall itself is beautiful. It's very large, and there weren't a lot of people in there on a Wednesday night, but I'm sure the place is hopping over the weekend. Yes, I would recommend it just to check it out, which is why I gave it four stars rather than three.

Yelp
I'm thrilled that Medford has a new spot! We've been a few times. The place is huge. Super large tvs to watch games. I'm not necessarily a beer drinker but they have a good selection and I'm always able to find something I enjoy. We tried the sausage pizza, good but not great. I love onions but thought they didn't belong on this pizza. I'm probably in the minority but I don't care for the live music. It's not bad but I'd rather listen to the commentary/audio of the games. I'm hoping in the cooler months they'll get heaters as I'd love to be able to sit outside. Overall it's a great spot!

Dave F.

Yelp
We had a 60th birthday party here. For about 25 people. Kate was our event planner. She was accomodating and helped us every step of the way. The food was good and plentiful from the catering menu. We were able to supplement with items from the main menu. The space that we had was great. It was upstairs overlooking the stage. We had the space reserved from 7-10 on a Saturday night, we stayed until closing . It was a lot of fun. We had an age range of 22-60. It was a good time for everyone. The beer menu was good and the cocktails were well done. I'd recommend this place to anyone for a fun casual event.

Yelp
The atmosphere was great and they had lots of great drink and food options. The price point could be improved though for certain items. $18 for 5 wings is a rip off.

Cairo T.

Yelp
Great drinks and even better music! We were looking for local country music and this fit what we wanted to a T. Will be back for date night for sure !

e D.

Yelp
Overhead music is waaaaaaaaaaay too loud. Have to sit outside if you want to actually talk.

John H.

Yelp
Good beer selection, good food, but docking a star for bad music (generic early 2000s pop/hip hop). Like basically elevator music. Also, the cornhole set was great, but they could really use more family-type stuff around. Our kids were getting stir crazy after cornhole got old. Even board games or something like that would be huge.

Brian Z.

Yelp
Best place north of Boston. Great Pizza, Great Beer, Unbelievable Vibe! The TV's are incredible for sports games. Cannot wait to watch the super bowl there. Saturday night's bands are so good. Best live music venue in all of Boston

Adam W.

Yelp
Watched a patriots game here last week, very cool venue, they had a great selection of beers and the food I tried was really good, stuck with mostly pizza and wings for the game. The TV's are massive and they have a cool outdoor area as well. The beer hall can accommodate all sorts of crowds Definitely will be back. Good vibes.

Chuck C.

Yelp
Acrylic glasses instead of glass? This just changed the whole experience. I was told that this was for "safety" reasons. We weren't drinking by a pool! The food was ok. The music is very loud and hard to hear conversation. The beer list was good. Service was good. Please change to real glass!

Ashley H.

Yelp
Very clean but the staff who were helping clear the tables seemed to hover. I felt very rushed. Food came out fast and was hot. On the pricier side. Not the most kid friendly. You are told to only sit on one side of the hall and immediately when you walk in there is a sign that basically said control your kid "no running, no crawling". Other breweries in the area welcome kids- have games- lets kids run around hitting balloons etc. prob wouldn't be our first choice to go back and visit.

Yelp
On 3/1/25 To the amazing staff: we came in for the first time as a group after our 5th grade basketball team played nearby. We were amazed. We had a great time. The staff were so friendly. The bartender made me amazing margaritas, one employee not sure if he was the manager let our rambunctious boys "dance" on the dance floor, MARTHA and the AMAZING kitchen staff!! Thank you so much for a memorable night!!

Yelp
I am not one who usually writes reviews, but felt that i needed to for this place. My husband and I went at 5:30 on a weekday evening. The place was not crowded. We were greeted by a hostess who explained that we could order through the QR codes at the table or by going to the separate counter for the drinks or food. We chose the QR code method. In order to do this you need the Toast App for the food and another app for the drinks. The selection of beer was large, although i would have liked to have seen a Cider or 2 on the list along with the beers. There was also non-alcoholic choices on the menu through the app. I didn't check to see if they had them at the bar itself. There was plenty of free water. The food menu was another matter, They offer some apps, which we did not eat, and pizzas, which we did. They were "sold out" of the more interesting pizzas. So we ordered a cheese pizza via the app and waited and waited. I could easily see the counter where they came out and got a text immediately when it was put on the counter. Our pizza was cold and over baked. it was almost inedible. How long had it been sitting before we were told it was ready? I don't know, as the pizza ovens are behind a wall. However, it was clearly sitting there long enough to get cold. I am sure it will be a huge success among beer drinkers, sports fans and those who like to go out with friends as it was large and spacious, but we won't be returning.

Yelp
Really good idea and I'm hoping they figure out the execution since it's still so new. Ambiance has a lot of potential but I felt like I was a daycare. There are some 21+ areas but apparently no one told the kids that kept running through them. That combined with the noise it was difficult to have a conversation mid day. The giant window is beautiful but if you time your visit wrong you're blinded. The beer selection is actually solid and there looks to be a full bar. The main reason for 2 stars is the food. I don't usually hold breweries to a high standard when it comes to food. They're usually brewing beer and I understand if they want to focus on that and food takes the back seat. But this is a beer hall, they're not brewing anything themselves. They also advertise that the food comes from an internal "restaurant" having its own name and everything. I've had the food several times now and it's been terrible. The first time I was hoping it was because they had just opened, but I had it recently and it was still bad. The pizza is always burnt and too hard on the bottom (not in an artistic way). And the cheese somehow underdone. The pretzel is rock hard every time we order it. The sides of mustard and cheese sauce that are required to make it edible come filled half way up. And to add another side is $2. If you want to advertise it like a restaurant (and price it like it) then it should actually be good. Not a bad place to grab a drink but do yourself a favor and eat before

Yelp
Had the chix caesar salad had way too much dressing and way to much lemon zest barely tasted like caesar, but the worst part was the chilled chix breast which had zero seasoning and had the texture of cold rubber for $22 or so was very disappointing. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Couldn't have dreamt of anything better for the Medford area. 30+ taps with a rotating menu is more than sufficient and anyone getting hung up on 100 needs to chill out. Great service, great drinks, great place to watch the Patriots disappoint me every Sunday. 10/10
