Service was great. Very friendly. They even came out to our patio table twice (to drop off actual metal silverware and to bring us our food). Very reasonable pricing, especially for the size of the Gyro wrap.

Healthy choices and healthy portions! Nice people, they check on you and make sure everything is ok. Fresh food! This is one of our goto places. I took a picture of the huge gyro, and this is a modified small salad, without the cheese, onions or pepper. Strongly recommend.

Just wanted to check this new opened Mediterranean place, ordered souvlaki chicken plate and steak tenderloin, both were delicious, and came with salad , pita brad, and the fries were super fresh. Chicken was well cooked and tender. The service was great. I really liked the place. The rice pudding was super delicious, and I highly recommend it. Next time, I will test baklava. Highly recommend if you want to have a good food with resealable price,

We were looking for a Mediterranean restaurant to see what the East Bay had to offer. This was the third restaurant on our list as the first two were closed for unknown reasons. The reviews came in really good so we were confident that it would be an exceptional experience. I ordered the Australian Lamb Souvlaki skewers, with rice and a salad. While the lamb was well prepared and had good flavor, there were a lot of tendons and gristle in the meat. I struggled with enjoying the meal, but I understand that it is authentic and sometimes that's how it comes.

Fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious Mediterranean food in Danville! My wife and I love this place and order takeout from here every week. I highly recommend the gyros, salmon plate, shrimp, dolmas, tzatziki, and rice pilaf. Everything is cooked to perfection, and the grilled Mediterranean flavor they achieve is simply fantastic. We’ll definitely keep coming back and are so glad to have this wonderful, healthy Mediterranean restaurant in Danville.

I’ve had this place saved for a while but went for the first time today. The gyro is quite flavorful, portion size is decent, and the price is really great for downtown Danville! A pretty great option for a quick lunch. Service was nice and quick, pretty good!

Such a great spot with a high-quality authentic Greek food at very affordable prices! We've been coming here very often ever since they opened this location and food has consistently great every time. Our favorites are Gyro (see picture), salmon plate (salmon was always fresh and cooked well, comes with greek salad, rice, and pita), their delicious pita, dolmas and tzatziki! Love the fact that they have lots of healthy and at the same time delicious food options. The service is very quick and friendly and the place has lots of sitting space both indoors and outdoors, everything is clean, pretty and cozy. Can't recommend this place and their food enough!

The Soulvaki shrimp plate was fresh and well prepared. The salad ingredients were crisp with the right amount of dressing. All of this served on a real plate with real silverware with outdoor seating. Worth driving to Danville.

Ive been working in danville with 30 minute lunches. I order my food 30 minutes prior to showing up to the great Greek medi. And its always ready. The food is phenomenal. I get perfectly full everytime. Your tongue taste buds will enjoy every second every dish. And you feel healthy once youve finished eating. 10/10 recommend

What can I say? She wanted Greek. I can take it or leave it. I'm happy with a decent Gyro. We needed someplace with outdoor seating so the Princess could relax while we ate. The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill checked all the right boxes. The pooch and I waited outside while she went in to order. She came back out a couple of minutes later with a drink, set-ups, extra napkins and a table number. After a few minutes, her side salad (Greek Salad) was delivered. A couple of minutes after that and our mains were placed on our table. Time to chow down! She liked that her Greek Salad was served nice and cold in a chilled bowl. She really enjoyed her Spanakopita while it was hot, not as much as it cooled down. Hummus was a bit runnier than she liked; Dolmadas were as expected; Falafel were okay (we have a favorite restaurant for Falafel); and the Tzatziki was decent. My Gyro was nice and full and somewhat messy to eat. The flavors were good, and I would order it again. The service was friendly and personable. All in all, a positive experience.

The salmon filet on top of my Greek salad was fresh, savory and delicious. I pick up my orders and they never disappoint!

First time here-- I like Greek food and generally order gyros. I ordered the lamb gyro and this is a big portion! I was hungry so I finished it all. My cousin ordered the lamb gyro with the drink and fries and man there was a generous serving of fries. Nice casual place to meet up. Only thing is parking can be challenging on the weekend but I was lucky and found a spot. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as the Lunardi's.

Quick service and my chicken gyro was super tasty. Enjoyed our outdoor table. This was the right call. Make sure to add a basket of fries to share.

Extremely poor service where the staff at the counter has no idea about customer service. I ordered the Greek salad for $14 and they gave me a bunch of lettuce. If you don't have ingredients, just tell the customer you do not have enough ingredients. On top of that, when I complaint about the salad, the person at counter said he has added the credit on my phone number to use it. When I tried to use it next time, the person at counter said, there is no credit. It was such a bad experience at this store. I will never go back to this restaurant.

The restaurant is new and we have heard about it through my son. Place is nice. Food looks good as served and looking forward to trying out!

I didn't know too much about this particular restaurant, but after looking into it, apparently this place is a pretty big chain nationwide. The place is super clean and the service is great. It almost felt like it was smaller in terms of me thinking it was probably family owned and operated, but had a slight aesthetic of a fast casual restaurant. If the Greek food is this consistent, fresh, and delicious across the other locations then I'm a huge fan. I'm not sure if this is a newer location, but this is located in downtown Danville. I came here with my sister-in-law and my niece and nephew for a later lunch. I just ordered the soup because I felt like we were gonna have way too much food and I end up eating a lot more anyway lol. The soup was super tasty. I love Greek chicken soup specially when it has that nice zesty citrus in it. I got the try some of the other items like some of the dips, a piece of the souvlaki, and pretty much finished up my nephew's gyro. Seriously, all the food tasted really fresh and really good. It was a little bit busier around town at the time, but we were able to find street parking about a couple blocks away.

Glad we checked out this new Mediterranean diner here in Danville. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Clean, efficient, fast service, and good amount of menu options.

I'm back to try more, still love the food! Food notes: Spanakopita (3.5 Stars $6.45) This could easily be 4 stars but they did not heated it up enough. The dough was not crispy and flaky and the inside was luke warm. However there was a good amount of feta garnish. The spinach filling was good. The extra salt from the feta helped. The portion was a good size, more like a single serving meal portion, rather that a appetizer. For an app, it good for 2 people Athenian Burger (3.5 stars $12.95) The burger patty was seasoned well, but it was not fresh meat, seemed like a frozen performed patty. If they used fresh meat and maybe some Greek spices mixed in, this could be a 5 Star burger. Also it would make it easier to cook to order. I asked for medium, but it came medium well. Cooking premade patties have to be done a little more. The bun was fresh, really good. They grilled it to heat it up, which gives it a slight smoky flavor and nice clean grill marks, nice touch! They finish it with Feta, chopped lettuce, red onion and tomatoes, all fresh and good quality. Avgolemono Soup - Traditional Greek Lemon Soup (4 Stars) The soup was perfectly balanced with chicken both and lemon with small chucks of soft white chicken and rice. They top it with a fresh drill garish, nice touch! Served with 1 warmed pita, nice but not needed. Until next time... Next time try: Mom's Rice Pudding

New place finally opened. Apparently my fiancé has been looking forward to this place opening for a little while now. So...we ended up coming by on a Wednesday night. Both of us got their Spanakopita as an appetizer to share, then each of us got the Great Greek Gyro with their gyro meat. My fiancé ended up making his a combo with feta fries. First off, the spanakopita is massive. It's definitely something to share. You could eat a whole one but it would be a lot. That said, the taste was there and the puff pastry was flaky. The feta cheese on it was really good too. Next up on the massive list is their gyro. It's huge. Also, definitely worth the price. I got mine without onions but it was so good. Taste is there, the wrap is soft, meat was flavorful. Unlike Nick the Greek where their wraps are smaller and they also include fries in their wraps, this one is larger and has no fries. Honestly I prefer no fries in the wrap since it's already mildly carb heavy with the gyro wrap itself. The feta fries were also really good. So I would definitely suggest getting that on the side. Given this is a new place, the service was really good. This place comes off as a fast food style where you order and find yourself a seat and eat. But the guys working behind the order counter also bring food out to tables as well as clean up after you're done eating. I was actually surprised they also checked in on us asking whether the food was alright. All in all, may come back to this place if I need Greek food. Or if my fiancé gets a craving. Whichever comes first.

We try to eat Mediterranean food because it's healthier. Our family tried it last night since it's convenient. Meh! The food is good, not truly authentic in my opinion but still ok because it's close to home. The killer was the service. The young lady was not friendly. Bad attitude vibes. Acted if she hated being there. Sorry, we probably won't be back! In addition, one of us didn't get her salad with her meal. She didn't want to bother. Actually, the salad was the best part of our meal.

The spanakopita was very good! I was surprised that dishes were piled up and not cleared off the tables despite the few customers in the restaurant. Apparently, the people working there didn't want to attend to them. In fact, one employee went over to the pile on the garbage counter and just moved them around there without taking them back to the kitchen to be washed. Several tables were dirty. It wasn't a good look.

Nice spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The Great Greek Gyro did not disappoint. It was delivered and huge! And tried the feta fries-nice twist. You order and they brought it to you which was a nice touch!

I called in a simple chicken gyro order around 6 PM on a weekday. When I walked into the place, there was a really bad odor coming from near the bathroom--definitely not the best first impression. At the counter, one of the women asked me if I was sure I ordered chicken. Then she opened the box, glanced inside, and said, "Oh yes, it's chicken." That didn't exactly inspire confidence. The food was okay at best. The first couple of bites were overloaded with feta, and the tzatziki tasted more like sour cream with a bit of garlic seasoning. Not great. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. I expected a lot more from this spot.

We were looking for a restaurant with Mediterranean food and found The Great Geek here on Yelp. Came in to try them out and we loved our meal! Both my husband and I had chicken kabob plates and shared a spanakopita - everything was delicious and fresh! Oh and the baklava - exquisite!

The front desk is very nice. Helpful is a great job great atmosphere and the food is good too so I like the soup so many places don't have this. Not sure all locations are as good as this one

I only write reviews if the food and service sucked First time ordering Greek food. Had high expectations. Ordered chicken gyro. Asked the cashier if it was big or small. I used hand gestures. She had no clue what I was saying I said nevermind. Had it to-go. Bread, tomato, lettuce, red onion, sauce and few pieces of chicken for $14? Was still hungry after that. Not worth. Go to the other 20 restaurants in the area.

My new favorite Greek! (in Danville) I had the lamb gyro cooked medium rare. This preparation isn't exactly on the menu, but they're happy to substitute skewered lamb for the usual gyro meat, highly recommended. The lamb was wrapped in the traditional greek style pita, thick and fluffy. Very tender nicely marinated lamb cooked perfectly MR, delicious in its char broiled goodness. Crispy on the outside, tender juicy on the inside. Indeed, wafts of wood smokey perfume occasionally drifted through the dining area and out onto the street , I love that Definitely will be back to try the falafel

I drove by this place & had to try it! I treated myself to lunch and ordered the Lamb Gyro Combo meal which comes with a drink and fries for $22.95. The gyro was good and with very fresh ingredients. The fries were great & crispy, I like to dip mine in the Tzatziki sauce. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant is in the heart of downtown Danville, so there's a lot of people walking around. The service was very quick, I was surprised. There were more & more people coming in to try the food. They have a large menu not just including gyros, but salads, kebab plates, and desserts! I give it a 4/5 stars, only because I thought it was a bit pricey! But overall a great new addition to Danville.

Great option for Greek gyro wraps. The wrap was huge, almost too big, I couldn't really pick it up and eat it like I normally do. The flavor was really tasty, but the meat was a little drier than i prefer. I would come again though. Next time I'll take some pics

I went to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill for the first time yesterday. I ordered the chicken souvlaki. It was delivered to the table about 5-7 minutes after I ordered. It came with two skewers of chicken breast, rice, pita bread and a Greek salad. The chicken was cooked just right and was tasty! The rice, pita, and salad were all good. My friend got the Greek gyro and it looked good! There are a few more things I want to try so I'm definitely going to return. Overall grade: A-

We came here today on Memorial Day, completely dead! Which we did love because we were avoiding the crowds from Napa and going up North on hwy 80! Food was fresh, amazing and great in portion for just one person! We got the 4 dips with pita, salmon entree, salmon salad, falafel wrap and bavlakva. Love how they are located near other businesses and how parking was very open and easy to find! Highly recommend for those around the area!

I absolutely love their gyros and falafel. Their hummus and pita are also so delicious. The dolmas are exceptional. We love getting our Greek food here.

Authentic delicious traditional Gyro! Please keep this place in business. I keep saying I'm going to try other things soon, I am a Gyro snob and this is the best I have found. The staff is super nice and kind. Very generous size for good price.

We have been here 3 times and each time the food is delicious. Gabe welcomed us in and even came around to see how everything was. The Greek rice bowl with salmon is my go-to. Salmon was cooked very well and portion size very generous. My hubby had the chicken souvlaki plate and also enjoyed it. We both have leftovers so guess what we're going to have for lunch tomorrow?

At best, this spot is a three. Two isn't a bad thing, but you can't compare a fast food franchise spot to some traditional family-owned spots around!! There is no comparison as it relates to food taste. However, if you don't usually dine at traditional places and don't have that expectation, and want a solid fast food spot that will give you a good baseline of Greek food choices, this is for you. That's all I got! Bottom line- hummmmm. I got noth'in. But this may be your spot if you are in a hurry and want something different and quick.

This place is so cute and so yummy! I ordered some dalmas, lamb, and feta fries and it did not disappoint! The lamb was cooked perfectly and came with a side salad and another side of my choice. The feta fries we're perfect and the feta and seasoning was perfect. The staff was also so sweet and professional. Would definitely come back!

I like this place but I get promotional emails that tell me they have a happy hour from 3-5 where you can get reduced prices and then when I call in the employees always say I don't know anything about promotions and they can't honor it. They have to connect with whoever is sending out the promotions and straighten it out - it has been going on for a while.

The food is very fresh and the people are so friendly. However, not a fan of the fries...to me they have a weird flavor, and the salad dressing didn't have enough zip and seemed to have a lot more oil than I'm used to. Also not much feta on the salad. I'm Greek so perhaps I'm fussier than most. Also, it's quite expensive but guess everything is these days!

Called to find out what was vegan on the menu. Staff couldn't help me. Online didn't help either. They have two different symbols for vegetarian but nothing for vegan.

Hi I was just at this restaurant and i decided i wanted to write a review because of the great service and much more. Also the cashier women was TOP NOTCH and the food was really good. I have always loved the food every-time i have came. Definitely recommend this restaurant because it has all the necessities.Also is very clean and is the perfect environment for family and friend quality time.

Great new Mediterranean place to get your gyro fix. Semi fast food place with very friendly and efficient service. The gyro meat is flavourful without being overly greasy. Tons of fresh toppings, yogurt sauce, and ton of feta. Owner/manager was very friendly towards our family and crazy toddler. We felt very welcomed. Great dessert too!

I just DoorDashed this and food was fresh and filling! The Tzatziki sauce is fresh with cucumbers in it. French fries are some of the best I've ever tasted. I will definitely be getting this again!

Amazing! I ordered a lamb gyro. I was at a loss for words when I opened my delivery from this restaurant. Stunned by not only the generous portions even the presentation was spot on. The meat quality really shines my lamb was cooked to perfection soft and tender. Fresh veggies that added the perfect crunch to my meal. And their Pita bread, soft and delicious. This is my new favorite Greek restaurant. Looking forward to trying more from this place. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a try Five stars all the way!

Great food, great customer service experience. We ordered big order from their catering menu for birthday party. Everyone loved the food, we went to the restaurant and had meal there too. That's how we discovered this amazing spot for catering. Every time we to Denville that's our spot for lunch. I wish they were closer to us.
