Best Detroit Cafes or Coffeehouses with Free WiFi for Working From Home - Eater Detroit
"This contemporary open space in Detroit’s Midtown has a wide variety of coffee drinks to keep people caffeinated while they’re working on their laptops. The space offers tables to meet and greet over avocado toast or cucumber toast and a lavender latte. A full bar serves wine, beer, and cocktails. A new cafe at Rivertown Market also has tables for working." - Monica Williams
"At Great Lakes Coffee on Woodward Avenue offers a blend of coffee, beer and wine. Try a 50/50 (half coffee, half beer) or go all out with a pour from the bar’s wine list. Food options are robust with salads, sandwiches, pastries, and select small plates available. The cafe also offers a reliable internet connection.
Opening Hours: 7 a.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. Sunday" - Brenna Houck
I got a latte with homemade brown sugar sea salt syrup and it was nicely balanced and tasty. Most places make drinks way too sweet and I have to order it half sweetened but this place does it right.

First time coming here today. Love the location, warm and cozy, probably because of the interior. They didn't have my favorite drink white chocolate mocha (which is why I gave them 4/5 stars because that's a little unusual), so I got a dark chocolate one instead. The barista was super friendly, she took time describing what some of the other options are and didn't rush me even though there were a few customers coming in at that time. Really professional. The drink came out quite good. Definitely will come back.

The drinks here are fantastic and not just the coffee. I'm talking their So Fresh, So Green cocktail, and the Final Ward being among my favorites. This place has great flexibility from a great studying spot during the day to a cozy date night in the evenings. It's also within walking distance to the DSO, museums and music venues.

Came here to get my Voting Day Detroit buisness crawl started, what better way than a cup of coffee and yes Baileys Irish Cream! (They have a liquor license, yes Gawd!) They offer a few different types of coffees at all times, a good lunch, light dinner menu but most of all an awesome laid back WiFi access atmosphere, which I love!

Stopped in recently for the first time and will be back here, too often.
Grabbed a specialty toast, a version of caprese and enjoyed it very much. Had a great iced drink at the recommendation of the barista and took home a bag of this awesome holiday roast.
Can't wait to go pack post Covid for an Friday of caffeine transitioning to a cold beer from the bar!

Great Lakes is a fantastic spot for a rich pour over coffee, small plates, as well as beer and wine. There are always students studying here and professionals holding meetings. It’s a warm space with the hardwood floors and exposed brick. People are often using their laptops and there are quite a few wall outlets available if you plan on staying long.

Place was crowded when we went. Lots of people on their laptops just getting work done. It’s funny that it’s not just a coffee shop. They serve food plus beer and alcohol. Coffee is alright. I got a chai latte which personally was a bit overpriced but guess that comes with the fancy designs on top of these coffees made by the baristas.
