Came here for the second time, enjoyed every bit of it until I got yelled at by a male staff (likely the shop owner).
My partner and I visited on a Saturday evening, been craving their amazing Beef Boat Noodles and Mango Sticky Rice all day. The quality of food is promising, we inhaled everything within seconds.
Towards the end of the meal, a couple with a pram came by the store front and was asking if there's a table for two - a male staff, which I believe is also the restaurant owner, responded it's a full house at the moment. The couple looked disappointed so I tried mouthing to them saying "We're about to leave", since I thought we're occupying the space and I do want people to try their great food - and tbf the restaurant wasn't full at that time, no one's queuing and there was still an empty table at the back.
And the next second, I heard the staff yelling at me, "Excuse me! We got a reservation for this table. And we don't allow prams." My partner and I were both in shock, just couldn't believe that's how they speak to their customers. I might have crossed the line by being nosy and inviting them in but by no means it was ill-intended. That blunt remark was completely unnecessary and disrespectful, I think there's a better way of expressing and phrasing it to your customers.
Once we walked out, a random group of three just showed up and our table was offered to them right away.
So note for all: it wasn't about being full-house, nor there's a reservation next - it's just no prams are welcome here :) Well maybe I should also learn a lesson, will mind my own business and never visit again!
