Really good barbecue specially for the city. Not as smoky as I like my barbecue but it has a hint of hickory to the flavor. The ribs are tender fall off the bone and is well prepared and seasoned. The pulled pork is the same very good seasoning shredded just right. Love the extra side of pickles. The Carolina barbecue sauce is really good and so is the hot barbecue sauce spicy version. The Brunswick stew not so good, too much corn not enough flavor of BBQ. Brunswick stew should have pieces of barbecue in it and I could find none. The collar greens were delicious and so was the toast. I would definitely go back here, great environment, outside and inside seating, great service, people are very nice and very helpful. And attentive to the table.

Highly recommended - with great pleasure. Truly an outstanding dining experience from the front of house through the back of house! Everyone was so sweet, attentive, and kind. We enjoyed an excellent late luncheon yesterday with BBQ fans from Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. The meats, sides, and sauces were all spot on and thoroughly enjoyed. An excellent variety of icy, crisp, cold beer and wine were available as were iced tea. We opted out of dessert and took a stroll at nearby Chastain Park with several boxes of leftovers. So it's also a great value!

Our son lives in Atlanta and every time we come we go to Greater Good BBQ. Best BBQ between here and Ocoee,TN. Great sweet tea. Very friendly and helpful servers. Food is fast and hot. It always tastes the same...great!!! Pork is tender and tasty. The green beans are absolutely delicious. Baked beans are true southern style and wonderful. My son loves the hot links, but I love the pork plate so much I've never ordered anything else! You have to try this place. You will love it!!!

Very good. Great service, food came quickly, very tasty bbq. I got the sliced brisket and it was very moist. Hubby got the brisket burger and he enjoyed his also. Plus they are ATL United soccer fans!!! Make sure to top off whatever you get with their hot sauce in the caddy.

Google
First timers and we loved it. We both had pulled pork. I had the plate. It comes with 2 sides and it looked like about a half pound of juicy meat. Sides are usually an afterthought but their green beans and collards are AMAZING. Wifey had the sandwich. It comes with 1 side. If you come near closing time don’t get weird if they’re out of certain items. Come earlier next time.

I love this place!! The ribs are so tender and season so good. The fried ribs fall off the bone. The food is always served fresh and hot just look at that smoke. I was so disappointed to find out the other 2 locations had closed but at least the location on Roswell Rd is still open.

Google
Fantastic BBQ joint! Great atmosphere, excellent service, and most of all, GREAT BBQ! I had the daily special Burnt Ends with fried okra and Mac and cheese. At 2:30pm, my order was on the table in under 5 mins. The flavor was fantastic, healthy portion, all for the price typical for BBQ. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for quality BBQ.

The food was so delicious. Even though they were nearing closing time, my food was still very hot and good quality and left me full! Would recommend for those who want GOOD BBQ.

Yelp
This was my husband and I's first time visiting DBA Barbecue, and we were pleasantly surprised! I'm usually hesitant about barbecue spots because they tend to be overpriced and lacking in flavor--especially in Atlanta--but this place proved me wrong. We ordered the pulled pork and asked for a recommendation, and the woman at the counter suggested the sweet barbecue wings--and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The wings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily the highlight of our meal. We also got the Brunswick stew and mac & cheese, both of which were delicious and well-seasoned. Wish the portion for the sides were bigger. Service was fast--our food came out within minutes, and there was no wait at all. The restaurant wasn't crowded, making for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations.

Yelp
Tried DBA Barbecue for the first time for lunch, and it did not disappoint! I had the Two Meat Combo with brisket and ribs, along with two sides. The brisket was a little fatty, but still flavorful, and the ribs were absolutely delicious--tender, falling off the bone, and packed with great taste. The service was excellent! Our waitress was friendly, patient, and very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. We sat outside since the weather was nice, and it made for a great, relaxed dining experience. If you're looking for some quality barbecue with great service and a laid-back atmosphere, DBA Barbecue is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Small little place to grab a quick bite of barbecue. There's some parking by it but it is a bit difficult since you're right on Roswell road. The food was solid but the sides definitely shined more. Really solid side of fries. It's inexpensive and a decent casual meal.

Yelp
Two stars is a generous review....... This is the second time I've ordered from these folks, and I hesitated to post until I ordered a second time. We ordered the chicken, coleslaw, corn, and mac & cheese, none of them were very good. The mac & cheese was soggy. The corn was way too creamy and milky with little flavor And the chicken was dry as a bone. Service was horrible. When I picked up the food, the young lady asked me three times if I use the right name because she could not find my order that was sitting right there on the counter. i'm 50+ years old, I think I know my name by now. I will not make that mistake again. These folks won't be around for long. Too many choices in the area to eat this kind of food and be exposed to this type of service. Be better!

Yelp
First time. Chopped pork bbq and Carolina chop spicy pork bbq sandwiches with fries and coleslaw. Great taste, fries and slaw were excellent. A tad skimpy on the pork. Neither were chopped, were pulled. As a bbq guy, big difference. But will be back. I'll tell them to actually chop it next time. Sauces were really good.

Yelp
First time at this location - I used to enjoy the VA Highlands location a lot but then they closed up and opened in the outer burbs - smaller scale restaurants, but very comfortable for a place to get some of those insanely delicious St. Louis style ribs - they are so worth the trip- smoky and tender - I like mine dry so I can control the sauce - if you eat in - sauces are on the table. You can't go wrong with any of the sides. I did baked beans and slaw this time - but I change up with each visit. Service is fine- you order and they bring it out - if you need anything they are happy to grab it for you. I miss the old sit down restaurant and bar - but I'm glad I can still get the food. Totally recommend a visit.

Yelp
Experienced through DoorDash in working in the area. A good surprise where I will have to try in person. The food was delicious. I agree you must try the muffins which is one reason I plan to visit in person to experience them fresh from the oven. Food packaged nicely to go and order correct. Chicken was not dry with good smoked flavor. Macaroni and cheese may not have been "traditional southern style" but it had good flavor and texture. Baked beans were also good. Nice portion sizes.

Yelp
Enjoyed a yummy dinner with the family on a rainy Friday at DBA. The restaurant sells bbq turkey, chicken, wings, brisket, pork, and hot dogs. They also sell salads and sandwiches. We enjoyed everything we ordered - the half chicken, chopped brisket, pulled chicken, collards with turkey, French fries, mac! And more. We ate inside and food came quickly. Plates ranged $16-22. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. Only a few tables inside and a few more outside, tons of to go and delivery orders.

Yelp
Food here is just ok. Service was friendly enough. It's the same building as Greater Good had so no changes except..... Prices. Prices are stupid high. A brisket sandwich, fries, drink $25+ Not worth it. Not even close.

Matthew P.

Yelp
Great Service, great barbecue, great price. what else do you need? The food is amazing and the price is well worth it. Hard to find that combo nowadays. 10/10

Yelp
I'm familiarvwith DBA. Tried the newer Chastain location. Pulled pork, terrible! The worst excuse for bbq I've ever experienced. Truly heat lamp dry with some oily grease over it I guess to simulate moist meaty texture. It was anything but! Mac n cheese was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Coleslaw was decent. Didn't have any collards. Never had bbq this bad in the South. Service was fine. I was only customer there.

Yelp
When we walked in it was empty. The cashier happened to be eating at one of the tables but quickly hopped up to help us. The food... brisket was thin, no smoke and super flimsy. Mac was eh, was super white looking and probably could've been better from Kraft. Pulled chicken wasn't quite flavored or flavorful but after sauce was okay. Smoked turkey was too salty on the outside but not really flavorful. Green were made with turkey and pretty okay. Potato salad...it has a lot of eggs and is creamy. Red skinned potatoes but still a pass. Too expensive for what they offer, other options around the city.

Yelp
Pulled pork and chicken with cream corn was really good. Service was awesome and quick. Small inside but was comfortable.

Yelp
The food was awesome . I have no complaints . The portions are nice and the service was A-1 ... best barbecue I've had hands down . Will definitely be returning. The Mac and cheese is so delicious. The brisket was tender the ribs had flavor and was tender. The different sauces was top tier . You gotta go !!! This is A hidden gem !!

Yelp
I found food to be pretty mediocre. No smoke on ribs. Meh. I wish them luck, but I wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Went to a convention in Atlanta and our friend brought us to this place. And omg, bbq is the best. One can't deny that their muffin is to die for. I bought an extra dozen to bring home to cali.

Yelp
I visit this location often. And Erin is the BEST! She remembers my name, my order, and ensures it's made to perfection. That's next level customer service especially in today's environment! Erin, you're the best and DBA should be proud to have you.

Yelp
We used to go to the original and loved it. The new location has a limited menu and the pulled pork sandwich was nothing but bark. We will not be back.
