Absolutely delicious! There was one woman preparing the food and one guy at the register. Plates came out nice and warm. That woman stuffed my gyro so well and super fast, too. Chicken and lamb were seasoned perfectly and the sauce on top was super yummy. Would definitely revisit! Super great value for the price, too! There's tables outside and inside.

🍽️ The Greek Gyro - Boston (Fenway) 🍽️ Looking for the best gyros in Boston? We stopped by The Greek Gyro at 88 Peterborough St, a cozy takeout spot packed with authentic Greek flavors, and here's the scoop! First up, the chicken gyro with honey mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, and a generous portion of chicken—I'm talking lots of chicken! 🐔🥙 At 8/10, this one’s solid, and the size is enough to share. For $14 in this economy? It's a steal! 💸 And of course, you can't forget those well-seasoned fries 🍟, which pair perfectly with extra honey mustard on top. It’s practically a rule—gyros and fries just belong together! Next, we tried the pork gyro with tzatziki, and honestly, you can never go wrong with tzatziki! 🥒🧄 This one scored a 9/10. 🤩 The lamb plate with warm pita bread and fries didn’t disappoint either. The lamb was seasoned perfectly, and the pita? Warm and fluffy—just right. 8/10 🐑🥖 For apps, we had the spanakopita (7/10) and grape leaves (7/10)—both solid staples if you're craving some classic Greek starters. And don't forget to wash it all down with one of their authentic Greek sodas! 🥤🇬🇷 Overall: 8/10 Ambiance: 4/10 (takeout vibes) Affordability: 8/10 So, is this the best gyro in Boston? Give it a try and let us know! 👀

Google
Excellent food and service. The gyros are really big and they have an amazing price. It became one of my favorite spots in Boston

Google
Absolutely loved this stop . Drove back home from New Hampshire and stopped at GreekGyro on my way through Boston. I found parking right in front of the store with a parking meter. That made me happy taking into consideration bostons terrible parking . I walked in the store and was greeted by 4 very cool gentleman . All had kind demeanors , and were eagerly pleased to take my order. I had a basic chicken gyro with everything on it to go . The store can fit roughly 4-5 families , but feels more directed for takeout . I went to a park to eat , and the second I opened the takeout box I could smell the fresh aroma of cooked chicken and spices. The presentation of the gyro seemed nearly perfect . It was as if they took classes on how to properly wrap a gyro . The taste was fresh and delicious for each bite . The portion a was enough to make me full , but you could divide it into two servings . For only 14$ it was a great deal . I would recommend this for any gyro lover , and would come back a million times over .

Google
Best gyro in the area. They cut the meat off fresh so it doesn't sit around and dry out. Gyro meat is tasteful and well seasoned. Dinners are outstanding. Owner is very receptive to feedback. Jake is always friendly and represents the business well, as do some other employees I've interacted with.

Google
Wow, I had the best gyro ever! The meat was perfectly cooked and the spices were well-balanced. They used only fresh ingredients, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was also captivated by the artistry involved in making the gyro. These guys are true artists! I even had the chance to try their pork, and I'm completely sold. Next time, I'll definitely go for the pork option. The staff was very friendly and provided quick service, which I loved. I can't wait to go again.

Google
This place is the real deal. Their gyros are fantastic: juicy, fresh and generous. If you are not very hungry, I would argue that you can share one gyros between two people.

Google
Very clean family restaurant serving tasty gyros. Quality of ingredients and big portions. Eat-in or take out you can’t go wrong. Thanks guys for a quick delicious lunch. We look forward coming back!

Yelp
Amazing food generous host! Added so much toppings and the taste of everything was perfect like I was back in Greece

Mary F.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the dips were all great including the quality of the pita. I'd say it was a good night for some gyros. See photos below! This place is more casual or better for takeout but you'll def be getting your money's worth with the quantity they serve you. You'll have foooood for days. The owner was also such a lovely woman :)

Yelp
The portions here are huge! I loved that they give you so much protein with anything you get. I got their gyro plate, which comes with fries, a salad, fries and pita. They fries are awesome, super well seasoned and crispy. The salad is kinda sad - super small, mostly lettuce and very little feta... the dressing is good though. The star is the meat, which was perfectly cooked with crispy pieces, however it lacked salt. Just a bit more salt and it would be awesome.

Yelp
I stumbled upon a hidden gem in Boston! The gyros were massive - my friend and I split a chicken and a pork gyro. The seasoning was spot-on, and the pita bread was soft and fresh. The crispy french fries were the perfect complement. The friendly owners made us feel right at home. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Have been here a few times now since they opened. Ordered in the restaurant for pickup. Food is good and service is friendly. The interior is pretty much the same as it was before with added tables and high chairs for seating. I usually order the avgolemono soup and the chicken souvlaki dinner. The soup is a fairly small size and I think is a bit overpriced for almost $10. Plus it was very salty. I had to thin it out with water and then it tasted good. The chicken souvlaki was freshly grilled while I waited for my order so I know it was fresh off the grill. The chicken was perfectly cooked but lacked flavor - just needs a bit more seasoning. Glad they provide a large wedge of lemon to squeeze over the chicken to add some more flavor. There were also some bits that were charred. The dish comes with your choice of rice or fries - I got rice and it was plenty and tasty. The salad was nice and fresh. The pita was soft and fresh and fluffy. Overall a good meal!

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick bite after visiting the MFA. It was in the middle of a heatwave so it was mid 90s and humid. The restaurant had their AC on and the door open but it was still very hot inside. Geared towards take out but there are 4 bar tables with seating and some outdoor seating as well. I ordered the chicken gyro online and my order was ready sooner than the expected time. The chicken was tender and flavorful and fries were crispy. I do wish they had more veggies and less fries.. but that's just a personal preference. They definitely do not skimp on the meat. Massive portion, makes up for the $14 price tag. Downside is that it's quite greasy. Would likely stop by again to try the other menu items!

Zach M.

Yelp
Food was great honestly. Fresh made falafel which were crispy and soft at the same time. Also tried the hummus, and the lamb pita (which reportedly was also quite good.) Service was great especially for an "order at the counter and take a seat" place. We sat outside with was lovely in a warm day. Wish had umbrellas for the tables though. Took a star off for price. We went for lunch and spent nearly $60 for two pitas, fries and hummus.

Mimi C.

Yelp
I've never had gyro before and am so glad I tried it here. The place is cozy and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The meats were juicy and sauces were perfection. Definitely try this if you're in the area or looking for a bite before or after the Sox games.

Alex L.

Yelp
The cashier/server was super sweet and really gave the place a personal touch. It's a casual dinner spot with indoor and outdoor seating, and great food. I got the lamb souvlaki pita, and the meat was very good. Would definitely go again!

Alyanna T.

Yelp
My partner and I got a falafel pita and pork gyro w fries combo - TASTE: 4/5 - we were starving and everything hit the spot. Highlights were the tzatziki and the well-seasoned falafel, pork, and fries TEXTURE: 5/5 - loved the combo of fluffy pita, crisp onion, plus fries included inside of the pita PRICE: 4/5 - total came to $38 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - portions were great and satisfying SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and the space was empty. The employee at the counter was nice, and our food was brought to our table less than 5min after ordering ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - narrow space, w a few tables and chairs for seating, and fun Greek music playing PARKING: 4/5 - can be hit or miss sometimes, but usually find a street spot within the Peterborough St/Queensberry St block

Joseph L.

Yelp
This was my first time ever having a gyro, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant looks cozy and very clean with outdoor seating. For 14 dollars, the gyro was packed with meat, fries, and veggies. Both the pork and chicken were well seasoned and juciy, and the sauce adds so much flavor to the whole thing. For the skewers, the chicken was a bit dry, but the three flavorful sauces you choose from make it enjoyable. The lamb and pork skewer was juicy and so flavorful. The staff was very nice and friendly, they definitely don't skimp on the amount of food when they build the gyro.

David L.

Yelp
We came into town, checked out Yelp and found The Greek Gyro. It was excellent! We actually split the Greek salad but was suggested to add the gyro chicken to that salad. It was perfect to split! We saw a couple of gyros being made from fresh sliced chicken from the spinning cooker. They looked amazing! Staff was great, very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!

Isobel S.

Yelp
THIS is the best greek pita you can get in Boston. Portions are huge, absolutely delicious, and the family who owns this are welcoming and attentive. Usually with a pita you can sometimes feel hungry after, but with this I had leftovers Ambiance was nice and they have outdoor seating.

Yelp
Review: Greek Gyro Under New Management I recently visited the Greek Gyro, now under new management, and I must say, it's still as fantastic as ever! The flavors are spot-on, and the quality remains top-notch. If you haven't been in a while, I highly recommend giving it a try. The new team has done a great job maintaining the deliciousness we all love. Don't miss out on this gem!

Della S.

Yelp
The portions are massive-- don't let the $12.99/gyro price tag turn you away. One gyro makes for a very satisfying and filling lunch, or could even be split into two meals. I got the pork gyro ($12.99) with all the default add-ins (onions and tomato, tzatziki, fries). I watched the employee make my gyro and every time I thought he was about to stop adding more pork, he just kept on adding more! The pork was seasoned perfectly with lots of herby flavor. The gyro was a little greasy but I loved the richness from the fattier pieces of pork. The fries were also so crispy and tasty! I was already very impressed by the pork gyro, but the tzatziki was the best. It was super thick and had a lot of cucumber in it. The tartness from the yogurt and freshness from the cucumber helped cut through the savory pork. This is my favorite tzatziki I've had in Boston.

Igor R.

Yelp
This is easily the best gyro in Boston. Meat was perfectly cooked. Fries are perfectly crispy. Flavor combination is ideal. It's a little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for because portions are massive. I'm not sure what, if any, is the connection between the Greek Gyro and Gyro City - as this place occupies the old space. However, although similar, I feel like I had a better experience here. I should also say that staff is friendly and welcoming. I'm looking forward to coming here again.

Sara L.

Yelp
We stopped for dinner before a Fenway show and for the area, the portions were so generous and a good price. We got the pork gyro, falafel pita and spanakopita. A great place for Greek food!

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Never have I been so angry at honey mustard (this is my go to condiment). You would think when you order a chicken gyro from a place called "The Greek Gyro" it would have tzatziki sauce and feta cheese not honey mustard on the gyro. Yes, I was incorrect. Yes, I understand I should have looked over the menu and not just called the order in on the fly but I was between appointments. $42 out of my bank account and straight into the garage (ordered two chicken gyros, two sides of fries and two fountain drinks). Chicken was gross and you already know about the honey mustard. Edit: I have ordered both chicken and lamb gyros 100s of times all around the USA (Greek festivals, restaurants, food carts) and have never had one with honey mustard- that's not traditional that's how a pleasant would want one made. I have Greek friends who immigrated from Greece and have never seen honey mustard in their house or in their family owned restaurants. That's just your way of appeasing to what you think an American would think is good. But again it was my fault for not reading the menu but the chicken was still not good and not cut in strips- something else I have never seen with a gyro.

Ciara W.

Yelp
If I could rate it 10 stars I would! We are from Jersey and wanted something besides seafood and it was delicious! You get so much food, the service is amazing and they have outdoor seating so on a nice day like today we could eat our food outside! (We didn't though because there was a wasp trying to eat our food) absolutely delicious!

Ron T.

Yelp
Loved my gyro. Its been a few years since Ive had one as delicious as this one. The gyro meat was not dry like many places serve. Tzatziki sauce on the side for me was also delicious.

Chirag P.

Yelp
Formerly Gyro City, this place is back (same owners? Or at least I recall those are the same employees as before), and seems like the quality is better! Granted it was $12.99 for a Gyro, but the portion size is plenty! Good quality chicken, they use Kontos brand pitas, which can't go wrong with that. Definitely coming back, if they start doing delivery that too.

Audrey W.

Yelp
We ordered from The Greek Gyro for our employee lunch and not only was the food excellent, the service was incredible. We went to pick up the lunch and they offered to help carry it to my car, and they also put in extra sides and pita for us as well. Extremely friendly staff, and the food was so good. Delicious pita with tender chicken and pork, and can't forget they have the best honey mustard. The tzatziki was delicious as well and all the employees loved it! Thank you so much!!!

Mickey G.

Yelp
Just enjoyed a very tasty meal from a great neighborhood spot. Delicious chicken, lamb, and grape leaves -- thanks!

Marissa O.

Yelp
Had chicken gyros, dolmades and baklava. Service was attentive and friendly. Ordered inside and they had it delivered to the tables outside. We were all pleased with the service, food and convenience heading into a Sox game. It was a Sat after 3pm and it was not overly busy. I was appreciative when my 10 year old ordered for himself the staff was patient and explained how to order correctly. I loved that they went out of the way to make that personal touch knowing he is maturing and learning how to order for himself. We will be back !

Luca T.

Yelp
Amazing Food, Generous Portions, and Reasonable Prices. Plus the service is incredibly fast!

Sherwood B.

Yelp
Gyro wasn't great. Falafel was decent. Didn't see lamb gyro on menu. Could have been much better.

Gale S.

Yelp
Place is just okay. Went out of my way to get it. Not the worst gyro ive ever had - certainly not the best by any means.

Rumi A.

Yelp
It was small place but always full of people, it's yummy, healthy and easy to understand menu. Highly recommended

Dorothea T.

Yelp
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of this delicious, flavorsome, scrumptious chicken gyro sandwich. The pita was delicious without excess oil, fresh vegetables, and the gyro had the perfect balance between oiliness and crunchiness, the prices are fair for the portion size. Atmosphere was chill and cool but the staff were also really friendly. Highly recommended!!!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Stopped in on the way to a show at Fenway. We chose this restaurant based on location and Yelp ratings. Clean, friendly, and excellent food! Very steady business. Dining tables inside and outside. Check this place out when you are in the Fenway neighborhood.

Austin B.

Yelp
Food and service are incredible here. There is no better place to go in Boston for a gyro. Person running the counter was very nice. I watched him make my gyro and I was very pleased by how large the serving is compared to other options. It is 100% the best place to go and I will go again anytime I am nearby.

Zack E.

Yelp
Updating from three star to 4. Came back and had the chicken gyro this time -- way better than the misnamed lamb gyro (they only have lamb souvlaki). Will probably come back again!

Martin R.

Yelp
Huge portions, great staff. Definitely worth checking out, amazing Gyro, tasted like ones I've had in Greece but much bigger. Fries were crispy and perfectly salted.

Todd P.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick lunch. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The food was great. Try the lamb qyro.

Alex S.

Yelp
This is our neighborhood go-to spot. The staff is incredibly welcoming and has a good memory of regulars' orders. We go for the pork or chicken gyros, but I like my chicken gyro with hummus instead of honey mustard (call me weird but it's delicious). Portions are great for the price and food is prepared very quickly.

Nora M.

Yelp
The Greek Gyro is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is really friendly. They know what they're doing and what they're talking about, and you can tell making their customers happy is their main priority. Food is delicious, Greek classics and some twists, it's 100% worth it!

Özlem Ş.

Yelp
The best Gyro I have ever eaten in United States! It is delicious! Also it was super fast!

Madison S.

Yelp
The best Greek fast-casual spot in Boston. Never misses! It is so filling & fresh that it never misses a beat. Hands down delicious

Peter P.

Yelp
Being from Greece, it is hard, sometimes to find a euro that reminds me of the way it is supposed to taste. Sometimes they are made without any authenticity and when I have that craving it is just so disappointing when it's not right. I've got to say. These guys got it right. The taste was great and the portions were huge. Very friendly and accommodating. I love when people take pride in serving their customers. Definitely will be back for more.

Jay D.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Ordered 2 chicken gyros with Tzatziki. So huge. Ordered hummus to take home. I loved it but companion thought it was too big (like that's a problem. Highly recommend

Ben P.

Yelp
Since opening a couple months ago I have gone about 8 times and everytime I am greatly pleased. George, one of the owners, has become a friend and I enjoy seeing and talking to him. The staff is so lovely and friendly. Now the food. The food is out of this world. By far the best gyro I have had in Boston. Very authentic too besides the fries (but in my opinion, better) The restaurant is in a great location and is very clean and newly furnished. The pricing of the menu is relatively inexpensive considering the other restaurants in the area. I have become a very frequent customer and will continue to do so! Thank you George and all the staff.

Alina G.

Yelp
Great place! So delicious and portions are good. Their baklava is amazing. Falafel tastes great too. Highly recommend to go

Todd H.

Yelp
Great local Greek cuisine find. Souvlaki lovers have a variety of choices. I had the spicy Tirokafteri and Tzatziki with Chicken Souvlaki. Generous portions! My favorite, tho, was the Avgolemono or Greek soup w/rice, lemon, and chicken. Great as an app or meal on its own! Highly recommended!

Clare Q.

Yelp
Delish! While I am not a gyro connoisseur, I thought this place was very tasty. My boyfriend got the pork pita with fries and I got the veggie pita with a Greek salad. We both did the Make it a Combo deal with came with SO much food, though it did come out to be ~$40 together which felt a bit pricey for the fast food ambiance. I would recommend choosing a side other than fries, personally, because each pita comes with a generous amount of fries inside. I loved the flavor variation of the veggie pita and my boyfriend's pork pita was very tasty and not dry at all. Overall, I'd definitely return. Great quick dinner before heading to Isabella Stewart Gardner museum!

Davit P.

Yelp
I have tried many different Greek restaurants and this one for sure stands out. The foot is amazingly tasty, the portions are huge, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the place is sparkly clean. I love going there for lunch or dinner. I would highly recommend to anyone.

James S.

Yelp
Order takeout had the lamb souvlaki excellent and feta fries were great will deathly order again

Lina B.

Yelp
Excellent Gyro, love it from the first time ordering the chicken gyro. they are generous so be prepared to have a good portion...

David T.

Yelp
Excellent food, very good service. Everybody is nice, polite and professional. Prices are very, very reasonable.
