The Best Food and Drink at San Francisco’s Chase Center | Eater SF

"A vegan-forward outpost featuring a portobello bahn mi ($13.50), spicy potato tacos ($12), and the Future Farm Smash Burger ($13) — noted as tasting "just like a McDonald’s burger in the best kind of way"; located at Portal 56." - Paolo Bicchieri

The restaurant serves food made using local and organic produce. Boutique rooms each offer organic bed linen, a flat-screen TV and a sleek bathroom with a walk-in shower. The Arbor Restaurant serves a creative menu, and the wine list is fully organic and biodynamic. A cooked breakfast menu is available, as are afternoon teas and seasonal specials. The Green House (Bournemouth, Dorset) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Set in a chic clifftop neighborhood to the east of central Bournemouth, the Green House Hotel looks, at first glance, like a slice of old-fashioned Victoriana. But while its old-world elegance is still in evidence, it’s as modern — and as sustainable — an eco-hotel as anything in England. Its 32 rooms lack for nothing when it comes to comfort, proof that sustainability doesn’t have to mean self-denial. And the Arbor restaurant, similarly, shows that what’s good for the land is good for the palate as well. The beaches and the city-center sights are within easy walking distance, and the sights of Dorset and the New Forest are within easy reach." - Tablet Hotels

I recently hosted a joint 40th birthday party at the Green House Hotel. The event space is beautiful and perfectly suited to a celebration, and many guests commented on how much they loved the setting. The food served was of very high quality and the DJ was excellent, really capturing the playlist we provided. I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast the next morning.||||Unfortunately, planning and service were disappointing. Emails from the events team often felt patronising and it was never clear we weren’t on a package until late in the process. I was strongly encouraged to order more food than needed; roughly three-quarters went uneaten. On the night there were no napkins or serving utensils, and one dish was set up incorrectly so hardly touched. Staffing was minimal despite assurances.||||I paid £25 for cake-cutting at 9 p.m., but only half the cake was cut after I chased staff an hour later. Most of it was left until the next morning.||||Our overnight stay was worse: a ground-floor room by the kitchen meant constant buzzing, staff noise and cigarette smoke. We barely slept two hours. The receptionist’s dismissive response (“never had that feedback” / “check the extractor fan”) added insult.||||Despite our tidy-up and our guests’ good behaviour, I often felt like an unimportant customer.||The food and setting deserve praise, but the organisation, service and overnight experience mean I cannot recommend the hotel overall.

Wonderful hotel with a fabulous ethos, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our room was spacious even though it was one of the smaller ones. Each is named after a different tree and the hotel is surrounded by mature trees which give welcome shade and keep the hotel cool even with the summer we are having this year.|Slept like a baby after swimming in the sea which is just a short walk from the hotel via a cliff path. Plenty of stops on the way up and down to admire the view. Helped by a way more comfortable bed than my own. |Top tip book on the hotel website and parking is free.

We have just spent a few days staying at The Green House in Bournemouth - what a treat! This hotel is really excellent, spacious, comfy with warm and welcoming staff members. They were kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A special mention must go to Chef Andy - what a talented chef he is! We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant. Each dish was excellent and creatively presented. The breakfast were fabulous and the best news is that being coeliac, I was well looked after! There were even gluten-free biscuits in our room! A really nice gesture is that there are complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water throughout your stay plus fresh milk provided every day for the coffee making facilities in the room.

The Green House is a beautiful hotel. Everything is done with thought and great attention to detail. We came to stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The whole hotel has a calm and welcoming feel. We ate in Arbor restaurant both nights and the food was exceptional. Customer service cannot be faulted. The reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff all went out of their way to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back.

A Grade II listed Victorian mansion, with just 32 rooms. Everything has been finished to a high standard and with the environment in mind. Lovely features such as sash windows and a roll top bath. ||Huge bed with goose down pillows and very comfortable mattress. ||Quiet even though it is only a few streets away from the beach.||Handy for East Cliff Beach via The Zig Zag, as well as the summer season open-top bus that takes you all along the coastline.

Anyone who gives this hotel a rating above 3 stars is being generous and has low expectations and with little appreciation for standards. Refurbed over 13 years go is a stretch in my opinion, as there is little to show it was money well spent by the Hoteliers. Points of concern,||1. Floor boards creaked in all areas of the hotel, to the point sleeping was impossible whilst listening to other guests moving around in rooms and corridors.||2. Cleanliness of the room was questionable. Dirt, cobwebs, grim on sanitaryware and strange odours all present.||3. Hot water availability when running tap was a lottery.||4. Mattress had seen better days. (Black light at the ready please) ||5. Charging guests to park is somewhat irregular.||6. Food! Well, lets just say, have the Dioralyte saches at the ready.||7. If you have standards and complain be prepared for the cleaning staff to verbalise their objection to your presence for daring to criticise.||||Conclusion!||If all the above floats your hotel experience, then the Brown (Green) House is for you!
