Fairly busy for a Monday at noon but was well staffed to keep waits time down. Walked in and great with you can sit anywhere in or outside, Will visit again when in the east walla walla area…

One of my favorite local taverns, craft cocktails, large variety of beers and the food is killer! I love the fish tacos and deep fried pickles. The pizza us off the hook too! Great little atmosphere and the staff is always attentive!

We go here all the time! But have never experienced service like we did! Our server Caroline was amazing. She was so attentive with us but more than that! She made us feel right at home. She was amazing with every guest we saw eating there, even tables that weren’t tables she was serving. We will be going back just because of how awesome she was. Good was incredible too!

Great food and people. It was one of the only places I could find open late on a wed night as I was passing through after showing clients mountain properties all day. So glad they were. Highly recommend fish and chips

My favorite bar! Food is great, they have done a really good job on having a menu that has something for everyone. The classic fish tacos are epic and an absolute must have. The nachos will fill you up for days. The tater tots are so perfect and go with a cold beer so we’ll. Service is always good. Can be busy on weekends but they are well equipped to handle it. Some have complained that when they reopened after covid it was not as good as it once was, there was some truth to that but understandable after being closed for so long. They are definitely back to where they used to be. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a really cool local atmosphere. Quintessential walla walla establishment worthy of 5 stars

We had a great server. But that's about all. I had a burger and it was dry and overcooked, it was not good. I will not comment on what my companion thought if thier food but if I were to order it I would have sent it back. The worst part were the cloud of flies inside the entrance and then bugging is at our table and on our food. it was miserable and could not wait to get out.

Food was tasty here at the bar! Great atmosphere to get a drink with friends. My only issue with this place it that the female bartender accused me and my friends of calling her a (female dog), when our only interaction was when she asked what I had ordered and I told her what I wished to order. She then informed me that she just makes the drinks and doesn’t take orders. After that, a male bartender told us he wouldn’t serve us. Overall, I took it as a sign to not drink and this is a great place to hang with friends.

I haven’t experienced customer service like this since I lived in the east coast! Caroline was fantastic! The food was so good as well. But without her hospitality our experience wouldn’t have been the same.

Got a good burger and a beer here. Service was good. The place was empty so I will have to come back on Friday or Saturday night.

Cool spot where locals hang out, watch sports, or pre game for other more wild bars. Our servers were super chill and had some pretty fun conversations with us. Locals are friendly too, they are totally down to hang if you approach them with confidence. Decent food and drinks. If you are traveling here and want to do more than just touristy stuff and want to party with the locals, this is a great place to start.

Went here for a quick dinner tonight, our service was super fast, server was really nice. Accommodated our special request for chicken tacos, I got the fish tacos, everything tasted fresh and got. The drinks were really good too.

Love the low key sports pub feel of this place. The service was fantastic and friendly. We loved the pub like the food. And every game we wanted to watch was on the TV. Also, I love the variety of alcoholic beverages, something for everyone. We will be back.

Usually love coming here, good food, good service and lots of beer. The other night one of the servers kept coming over to our table and only checking on my boyfriend. She refilled his water, kept asking how he was, brought him an extra ranch even though he didn't ask for one. Not once did she refill my water, she never even asked me how I was or if I wanted anything, but she would notice before my boyfriends drink was empty and always asked if he was ready for another. I tried to not let this experience ruin the green for us as we have had many fun nights there with friends. Maybe the server was off her game but if we do end up going back I am going to refuse service from the frizzy blonde with the bad tattoos.

Had a good time with a couple friends here on Friday night. Drinks were solid and guy working was kinda cute.

Came in with my husband for a drink and a bite. Friendly service, solid food, and the staff seem like they are having fun, while doing their jobs well. Will eat here again for sure.

This place has really good food. So much, we came here twice. The first time I had the Sasquatch burger and my wife had the fish tacos. The second time I had the pork tacos and she again had the fish tacos. The staff was super friendly and the beer was cold. Lots of local draft beers to choose from. I highly recommend trying them out.

Such wonderful ambience. I feel like I'm in a German pub! The food is great and the staff are wonderful. They could advertise their music nights better, but otherwise I love it here. They also have electrical outlets if you work from here etc. And Wi-Fi. Great parking toooooo

Holy tacos! I'm writing this as we're waiting to pay. That was one of the best meals ever. I had the taqueria tacos- yum!!! I ate all three which is unusual for me. My hubs had a Sasquatch burger and said it was absolutely delicious. Walla walla is nice but it's upscale and we were recommended Green Lantern at a wine tasting. For this Montana girl this hit the spot. Immediately seated, lovely waitress, delicious food. Drinks and lunch came to $48....highly recommend!

The service was great and the food was super tasty! We were seated and given menus right away, and our food came out of the kitchen very quickly. We had the Fish and Chips and the Taqueria Fish Tacos (sub'd flour instead of corn tortillas). The platter of fish and chips had three HUGE pieces of battered halibut, very good tartar sauce and crispy "chips". The tacos were made with the same battered halibut, but one piece was cut into thirds to divide among the three tacos - the tacos could have used more fish, but everything else was awesome. Our server was friendly and came back to check on us a few times and refill our water glasses. The weak part of the establishment is that the booths have the most uncomfortable benches I've ever experienced. They are bone straight, with hard shallow seats. Given their condition (LOT's of carved initials, etc.) it appears they are part of the charm of the place, but next time I will sit at a table with chairs.

Best club sandwich in town. Best fries in town. Best beer selection in town. Need I say more?

Went into this place few days ago, from out of town but in walla walla for a graduation. Heard the Green was a good place to go so we went and our waiter/bartender Andrew was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, he made us feel like one the regulars. Fish and chips were great! Overall would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

There were five of us for dinner. Ordered drinks, two of the drinks were wrong. We had to take them back and have them remade. We ordered food and one entrée was never put in so never delivered. Second order of drinks there was one wrong ambre bartender argued that it was the right one. When we received the bill we were charged for two different ones terrible service tonight.

This is a fun spot with decent food and good atmosphere but the service is hit or miss. The staff seem to share tables and depending on the team this works well. Today I came in on a day I don't usually (Monday evening). I was passed by the same two severs 6 times! without their stopping to greet or acknowledge me, though they would look at me. After 25 min (maybe more) a new server came on and she's always great. I stopped her and asked to order. The other gals have passed me countless more times without any offer of service. if I hadn't asked for my own many and flagged down service Id likely still be sitting here ignored and be giving a one star review.

I've been here twice. First time I had a very generously sized salad and shared a side of delicious Walla Walla onion rings. Ordered a burger to-go recently with fresh cut french fries and it was also good. Wish they had the onion rings regularly. Vibe is a little rowdy for my liking but the food is good

Gotta say that we're local and have come to eat/drink at The Green for 20 years. Today's experience was a severe shift in quality. I ordered The Iron Goat Lager, and notified our server it was flat. I was offered a different drink and told the tap had been on longer than it should have and said they wouldn't charge me for the replacement drink. While I appreciated that, there didn't seem to be any intention of pulling the flat tap. Ordered a Club Sandwhich and the paper used when they portion out the meat was in the sandwhich. We brought this up with our server and they asked how this could be remedied while also mentioning at least it wasn't a fingernail, or some other human-related body part. While we said it was an FYI and didn't take them up on a free drink, we were surprised they didn't comp our food. We received $2.55 off of our bill due to the inconvenience (the Club is $17). After this experience we won't go back for quite awhile. While a server can't control the quality of food, they can choose how to respond to something that's gone sideways. Underwhelmed on all fronts, the place is in a bit of disarray.

Food. Fun. Great bar. Nice people. Pizza is GREAT! Burgers are excellent! Fun place. Great sports bar. However remember they are only open certain days.

The service was amazing & I loved the vibe but the wings weren't it for us :( We were was super excited because a waitress from Hallaways recommend them & they came out not crispy, sauce was watery & all at the bottom. :( I love the plum & chipotle concept but it was more sweet than anything. It just needs to be executed better. The pizzas looked good, I wish we would've ordered that instead. We're willing to give them another try, maybe it was just a busy day!!

Really cool bar with great friendly bartenders to know how to serve up drinks and cold beers. We just came in for a couple beers on a Friday afternoon. My friend comes here all the time and he knows what the good bars are to go to here in Walla Walla. I will be back for sure.

Best nachos in town, that I've had, and their French fries are amazing! Fun, friendly atmosphere and waitstaff. Booths will keep you from napping, as they are a bit uncomfortable, but no complaints otherwise!

Hey, Antwon S., is your first time out in public? A recommended tip is pretty standard these days. If you can't tip your server/bartender don't go out to eat. Had a great time here! Love the draft list, fuck the haters.

Met my friends here Friday afternoon around 6:30 PM. I couldn't find them right when I walked in, but eventually I spotted them at a high top near the pool tables. There's 3 sections to this bar/restaurant: outdoor patio, bar area, and the pool area. I ordered: - wings (Frank's Hot sauce flavor) $11.50 - my friend's had ordered a sandwich and fries before I got there - cider and beers I enjoyed my wings, nibbled on some leftover fries, and had a hard cider. The waitress was kind enough to ask if we wanted separate bills, which we did. I think we had a couple of different waitresses serve us, but service was good. My friends said the place was packed when they got there and they couldn't find a seat at first. Seems like a happening place! $11.50 is kinda expensive for wings.

My wife and I enjoyed an evening there of great draft beer and nachos. We moved here near 2 years ago but covid mitigated our exploration of Walla Walla. We are now exploring the richness of our community. The Green as locals call it, was joyful. The place was full of locals, enjoying good service, food and community. We left smiling and looking forward to our next visit!!!

Fried pickles amazing... Otherwise; Whom ever the chef was at 4:45pm March 6, 2022, could have put a little more passion and effort into the pizza. Crispy crust, but the entire center was greased and soggy so I had to fold the pizza in half or the toppings would "run" off. And also I don't like how there is a recommended tip chart at the bottom of the receipts. No one should expect a tip for doing their job! Otherwise tip your Mail Carrier every time he leaves mail in your box. (:

SO MEH. Could be great but is going downhill on food. The french dip meat and bread today was OK, but the dipping us jus sauce was SO salty that it was inedible. Poor selection of sides. Other dishes I've had this year were pretty 'industrial' quality, too. Biggest complaint: what's up with no more onion rings? This IS the land of world famous walla walla sweets after all. Duh! We used to come for the onion rings, but they don't have them anymore. I live 3 blocks away, but won't be back after 3 tries recently. However, If you want to hang out with low expectations on food, wine, etc, and just order beer and watch sports with your friends you'll be fine with a nice bar atmosphere. Security at the door on the weekends feels wierd, but OK we get it on that one. Maybe one reason for lower quality - just getting in rowdy drinkers, maybe. The place could be EPIC, but, so not. With that menu/foood it will never get better.

Starts with no signage from the street. Locals bar. Nice full bar, lots of screens to watch sports. Drinks came fairly quick. Ordered four different entrees, the pizzas were awesome. Having a good time. Notice one two of the patrons are drunk. The waitress still brings them another pitcher. One guy looks like he is going to pass out. Told the waitress about the patron and nothing was done. Twenty minutes later he passes out and falls off a tall table stool right in his head. From there very poorly handled. Asked for our check to leave a little while later. It took over twenty five minutes to get our check. Even got up three times talked to the server and the closest employee, the door guy to ask for our check.finally came. We were overcharged for our drinks but at that point just wanted to leave. We may have been there on a bad night. It could have been worse...

One of the great bars I have ever been to. I live four hours away and have seriously contemplated driving there JUST for the nachos. Don't worry about the comments about it being gross. Has been remodeled and is perfectly nice and clean. You can sit outside, but it's Walla Walla so it will probably be 200 degrees outside until the sun goes down!

'The Green' is a no-brainer. Great pub-grub, fun atmosphere, cozy interior, great patio in the summer, decent beer and booze selection and easily a place that ALL Walla Wallans frequent at least occasionally. The latter is an important thing to mention in a town of 35K. This is a place where the locals bump into each other often, and if you are wine or restaurant industry, you know you have a craving for something on the Green's menu at least once a week. This is where your food and bev people go to watch sports, tip a beer back and generally rub elbows with the rest of the community on their rare day off. Look, the Green Lantern's 'Achilles heel' is what is pretty typical for service standards in this town. It's 'on and off'. I think the 'off' times tend to be the weekends, where the place is so sh**-canned PACKED, it's a little finicky to rake them over the coals for it. Sundays is often times the 'B-team', but friendly nonetheless. All-in-all, I feel like the crew at the Green keeps it real. My faves are the usual (and you can ask the locals): - Nachos= UNREAL. By far the best in town and I've been hard-pressed to find better anywhere since I've tried these. - All things Thai Chicken- pizza and salad = BOMB diggy. - Fried Pickles- a Green staple. Dee-lish. Perfect crunch. Usually fun and interesting specials. Immaculate cleanliness. Great local sports bar/pub atmosphere. Good rotation and amount of taps. Best nights IMHO? Monday-Thursday. I think weekend nights can 'throw' your experience, as it can be a madhouse. 5-stars indicates tops in it's category, and there ain't another pub in town I go to more often. Cheers!

Been coming here as part of our annual "first night in Walla Walla" ritual for a few years now. Anyway, found Green Lantern thru Yelp. Went because one in our party really enjoys beer & trying new selections. The reviews sounded decent enough to all of us so we knew what to expect. I'd say everyone is pretty spot on. My take: We typically go Friday night after the drive up from Oregon. It's usually around 7pm. It's busy. It's loud. But we've never had to wait more than a few minutes to find an open table for four. When I say loud, it's pretty much a dull roar. You don't quite have to shout across the table but almost in order to hear & be heard. You get the picture: this is not a quiet, intimate setting. Most of the patrons appear to be regulars. I'm not a barfly, but if I've ever been to any bar where "everyone knows your name" this would be it. In other words, I get the distinct feeling the locals (regulars) know who you are (tourists / out of towners) and accept who you are but you'd best mind your manners. It's a blue collar joint and I have no doubt there is a need for bouncers besides checking for fake ID's. That's not to say we've ever witnessed a brawl. I'm just saying that if you root for the wrong team or you imbibe a little too much and start popping your mouth off....it would not surprise me in the least that you, yourself might get popped! All that said, it's fun to be the tourist / non local and take in the action & vibe going on around you while quenching your thirst & stuffing your tummy with better than average grub (for a bar). This is Walla Walla...gotta have something ONION. Try the onion rings here. They are pretty decent. Nice blend of seasonings in the batter. We really like their sauce for dipping. It's a sweet concoction. Very tasty. This last trip, I had their lamb burger...which was excellent. My little baa baa tasted delicious washed down with one of their porters on tap. Generally, most of their food has been great. As I and others have said: better than average. I'd be willing to try anything on the menu that tickled my fancy. A word about the service: even though it's always been a busy Friday night when we've gone, we've always had outstanding service. Great bunch of guys & gals on staff there. And let's not forget about the parking. It's a dirt lot out in back. It's usually packed. Not well lit. Dark. You are at a bar. We've never had any issues but between watching your surroundings and watching your step (looking for potholes) just know what to expect. No valet service here!

Food is decent, but seems to go up in price every time I go. The real issue I have with The Green is the lack of good TVs for sports. Cmon man, 2002 called, they want their TV back!

3rd time back....we clearly ordered the wrong thing. Fish and chips were not good. Thin slices probably frozen halibut, really thick breaking and overlooked. Not good at all. We also tried the fries and a salad. Salad over dressed, fries not fresh cut, just OK. We will go back for the burger, pork nachos, and a Ruben. Have had those before and they are above average. 4th time back. tried the green again and it was excellent. We indeed had the pork nachos! Amazing. Salads were good. The pizza was not bad.

Fun locals hang out with really good food and lots of TVs for game watching. Located in a older housing community The Green Lantern has done a great job of blending in while creating a special local pub. On arrival in Walla Walla I asked a local where to go for good food and the ability to watch an the NFL season opener. Great place, grateful for locals input. We had many different items off the menu and shared with our group. Everything was was good but I really enjoyed the pizza and the people.

This place is super forgettable. Food was below average, the service wasn't great, and the people in the bar gave me a weird feeling. Definitely not welcoming. The waitress didn't even ask how my food was or how I was doing. Won't be coming back.

We came here after our friends wedding and they turned the bride and groom away and then continued to yell at them in the parking lot. Sad group of power tripping men working here.

We had the taqueria fish tacos which were fantastic. Lots of food on the plate, fresh avocado, fried fish and pico de Gallo. The service was a little slow, they forgot a few meals, and didn't come with a smile (so to speak), but it was adequate for our large group. Overall I would absolutely go back in small groups and enjoy the outdoor seating!

Oh my gosh.... what a hidden secret this place is a treasure. We read somebody's mean review I thought he'll we're gonna try this place. Food is wonderful the service is wonderful and we love the atmosphere

The prices have gone up, the portions are smaller but the flavor is still amazing. The waitress we had is a different story. She walked past my daughter and I give times to refill drinks and check on the table of guys behind us. Never once stopped or asked in passing is we needed anything. I was REALLY sad to find that the staff pools tips, because the bartender came front behind the bar and filled our drinks.

I had a very rude waitress. I wasn't able to get her name unfortunately. Resultantly, I will never be coming back to this place or recommending it to anyone I know. Your loss of business, not mine.

This was the absolute worst food I've had in my life. The server was rude and manager as well. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone it was a miserable experience. Please step up the hospitality and give better service.

We've been going to the Green on and off for the past year, and thought it was time to post a review. This is definitely not a "restaurant" in the classic sense, although they do have a full menu. It is most definitely a pub, so if you're looking for a meal out with children, look elsewhere. Not that they won't be served their chicken fingers, just that this place is primarily set up for beer and drinks with food on the side. As such, I can't give it five stars, and my most recent experience garners it 3-stars. We went in with friends the other evening for beers and bites, and I ordered a pitcher for me and my friends, a martini for my wife, large shareable fries, and jalapeno poppers. Our server was friendly and prompt to our table with the menus, but it started downhill after that. The first problem was that she brought the pitcher of beer to the table first, even though I could see she had already made the wife's martini. I might be old-fashioned just a bit, but please serve the lady first. Ten minutes later a really grumpy dude came out of the kitchen to tell us that jalapeno poppers were permanently off the menu. "Really?" I asked, "Because I am looking at the menu that is right in front of you and there they are!" Now, granted, I was being a bit of a smarta$$ with that, but his attitude preceded him by about ten feet. His reply was that he didn't know why management took it off the menu and it wasn't his decision. So many things wrong with that, but I guess my biggest complaint here is that our server didn't come and deal with the situation, someone from the kitchen came out and kind of threw a negative experience in our faces. And to management, if you're going to take something off the menu, take it off the menu. I know printing menus costs money, but a sharpie costs a couple of bucks in the meantime. Having said all this, it's not like I won't be back. This is a comfortable place to meet friends in the evening for a couple of beers, a snack, and a warm place to chat. We'll see if you can get that fourth star back on my next visit. Cheers!

Ate at this little gem today and what a surprise it was. Had the Chipotle Plum Sauce wings to start and I was blown away. They were crispy, moist and the sauce was INSANELY GOOD!!! I didn't realize it had garlic in the sauce till I tasted them...Pure love and easily top 3 flavored wings I've ever had. Had the Western burger and the grass fed beef was noticeable and delicious. The barbecue sauce was just right on it so it wasn't drowning or overwhelming the flavor of the meat. Added tots for good measure because well, tots are dope and they were crispy and hot! The waitress was super friendly and helpful. She recommended some dipping sauces and I didn't want to be a pain and have her bring a bunch of them out but she insisted and her recommendations were spot on. The jalapeño ranch and fry sauce was very good. I'll definitely return to this gem!

Although the food was good when you are actually sitting looking at some pretty cool memorabilia you noticed how truly dusty and dirty the Resturaunt is. We were with family going thru wineries and this place was recommended by one of them guess different in evenings when you can't see very well but gotta say even the lights over pool tables were really dusty.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon to watch the USC game. The service was very, very slow and the food was okay. We liked their selection of beers, but their service was so, so so so slow! Probably won't be back.

I've been a fan of this place since even before I moved to Walla Walla. They have the best selection of beers in the area and the Paloma is made fresh and it's SO GOOD. I've tried a bit of everything on the food menu. The burgers and pizza are both really good. The fish tacos are my favorite. I can't wait for this place to open back up and come and sit on the patio. The service seems strange when it gets busy... More than once I have had to dispute a charge because someone else's drinks have ended up on my card and the bill is way higher than it should be. They always fix it, but I just wish they had a better system for keeping track of tabs.

Relaxed vibe. Great pizza, killer fries, juicy wings, yummy fried pickles. I love the Long Island!!! There's in and outdoor seating. This is a great local joint!
