Good mediterranean food can be hard to find, so, when visiting California, I’d definitely recommend stopping by this place. Located in an industrial strip mall this small but quaint restaurant is tucked away amongst other businesses, and with no signage above the doors it can easily be missed. I ordered the salmon kebab with grilled vegetables instead of rice. Chucks of salmon squares served on skewers and separated by grilled vegetables was a visual masterpiece. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing as did the grilled vegetables. The dish was served along side hummus, a side salad and pita bread. I did find the pita bread a little more crisper and flaker than I’m accustomed to and it did lack a bit of flavor. With that said, I throughly enjoyed my meal. Kudos, to the entire staff. Specifically, Lucy, her enthusiasm, personality and professional demeanor was great. She truly understands the criticality of providing exceptional customer service.

Was looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled across this restaurant tucked away in an industrial area. It was a great find. I ordered a gyro sandwich #17 that was fantastic. The potato side was ok. Good taste but a little too wet feeling for me. The other dish was #19 the works, very good and more food than could be eaten at one sitting. The food and service was great. We came a bit before lunch but I could it would be very busy during a lunch rush .

All the food is delicious and made from scratch. You can taste the flavor all the way through the meat and they make the food fresh. I like the salmon skewers here because you don't see those everywhere. Definitely stop by or call and place an order soon 💯💯

The Green Olive is a small chain Mediterranean restaurant that generally sets up in industrial areas to keep their costs down and to service the working people of those areas. If you like Mediterranean Food there are very few who can compete with The Green Olive. Their chicken kabobs are absolutely amazing. Additionally, I tried their salmon kabobs I was pleasantly surprised but the tenderness and seasonings on the salmon and vegetables. The only knock I can say is that their rice doesn’t have much taste however with the variety of sauces it will make the rice pop specially the green sauce. They have vegetarian options. You can not go wrong here. This isn’t much of a dine but if you pick it up deliver it home you will be pleasantly impressed. Rock on Green Olive!!!!

The best Mediterranean food in the area and it shows. You will not come across this restaurant randomly since it's so out of the way, you have to come look for it, and the fact that there are plenty of people who do speaks to how good it is. The potatoes are good, the gyro is good, all is good and has decent pricing.

This place has the best Mediterranean food! We live in AZ and have to stop here when we are in town. The hummus is perfect and has a great flavor. The spicy potato’s are my husbands absolute favorite and main reason we go here. All the food is phenomenal. The chicken and steak were delicious. Their churros are made in house and so delicious, with a vanilla custard filling. Lucy was so kind and gave us the best customer service. I will definitely be back and tell all my local friends and family to come here also.

The service was great. The nice lady at the register asked my name and addressed me by my name once she knew it. The food was pretty good for a fast food place. Since it's convenient to the construction going on which I'm managing, I may return. To compare to other Mediterranean food places, I would say this one was the greatest but it wasn't bad. The chicken shishkabobs were just slightly dry, and the falafel were not crunchy but they were still good. I liked the sesame sauce ( I don't think it's tsaziki sauce. I can't remember the name but I love that sauce.) could have used a little more if that sauce. Service made it stand out over the food.

Delicious food and wonderful service! About $25-$30/per person with a full plate, shared side and a drink. Worth every penny

the green olive is in a pretty out of the way & hidden location. we came for a quick weekend lunch. ordering was quick and easy, and the staff is nice. there was limited indoor seating, and seems like a great place to do take out. the menu is extensive with all your favorite mediterranean foods. we got the gyro wrap. the meat was delicious and they gave a very nice portion in the wrap. the side salad was just alright. we also got the chicken skewers which were tender and flavorful. love that garlic sauce with them! the rice was shockingly good too. i would definitely come back here. overall it was some good food for a good price.

This place is a hidden gem!!!!!!! It is very small inside with limited seating but noticed a lot of the business is take out. The girl taking our order was very nice and patient since it was our first time there and not knowing what to get. She recommended the potatoes and all I can say is AMAZING! They have the best flavor. The plates are reasonably priced and get a good amount of food. We also got the falafels and they were some of the best that I have ever had. Looking at the menu they also do catering which is a plus. If you're looking for good Mediterranean Food you have to check this place out!!!!!!

I was in the mood for some Mediterranean food and decided to try a new place instead of my usual place. The service: 5 stars. The woman up front at the counter is phenomenal. Very friendly and personable. She made us feel very welcomed. She even gave us a free pita. The food: 4 stars. My husband and I shared "the works" plate. I'm glad we decided to share, it was a lot of food! The rice and chicken were ok. The beef, kafta and falafel were absolutely delicious! Loved the falafels so much. The humus and pita were good as well. The vibe: you can tell this is more of a take out place, the inside is small and there are no public restrooms. We did eat there and it was nice enough for a quick lunch. Overall 4.5 stars, I'm glad I tried a new place and I'd come back here again.

Great food. I've been here a few times and each tim is the excellent. Th location is interesting not the normal restaurant but the food makes up for the lack of a traditional restaurant.

This place is a must-try! Seriously, the food is amazing. I could eat their hummus every day and be a happy camper. So fresh and flavorful, it's the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a great meal, go check them out!

I'm not the type to write reviews but this place is amazing. Such polite workers, efficient, and food is high quality and seasoned well. I haven't had much mediterranean food but I have high standards, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Fairly good sized portions.

This is our go to place on Thursdays for Mediterranean food. I always order on the phone and the workers are very kind and courteous and patient. Because it has such an extensive menu, I've tried many plates and everything has been delicious. My usual go to order are the lamb kebabs with the spicy potatoes and the salad . The chicken is moist and flavorful the salad is fresh and tasty. The star is the spicy potatoes that are just delicious. My sons usually order the chicken kebabs and the beef kebabs and the gryo meat and all of it is finished by them. There are lots of vegetarian options and delicious desserts. The place is small and out-of-the-way, but it's cozy on the inside and friendly.

I've eaten multiple times in this restaurant and I always been great. The only thing that I didn't like is french fries the spicy potato is definitely the first side that I choose.

Didn't know about this location in SFS so my husband and i decided to go there and check it out! We love the green olive but the one in downey is very small. We walked right in to this one and were able to order right away. The cashier was very welcoming and answered our questions kindly too. We got the chicken shawarma fries (WOW FANTASTIC) and the beef kabob plate. Everything came out hot, fast, and correctly. I was able to get extra lemon garlic sauce too. The portions are big and so tasty. The place is small too but plenty of parking and clean with a bathroom. Give this place some love!

I got the gyro with spicy potatoes, kafta skewer and falafel. The gyro was amazing and stuffed to the max with lots of meat. The kafta was a little dry and not much flavor and the falafel was decent, not too much flavor in that one either. The real star of the meal was the spicy potatoes, I would go there just for those alone!

Amazing little restaurant and a hidden gem in the area. Love the authenticity of their Greek Mediterranean cooking. Everything is great and the sauces are amazing. I highly recommend the chicken Shawarma, and the works.

Ordered the eggplant wrap. The eggplant was sooo overcooked it only had the skin left. So much for my eggplant wrap. Then i asked to add tomatos & everyone had to hover together like it was a big deal over tomatos. They also got my side order wrong. STAFF SUCKS. Go to a real Mediterranean spot where they actually know what they are selling & the chemistry of the food when being cooked.

Work treated us out for lunch today and ordered from the Green Olive. Mediterranean food is kinda hit or miss for me, but this was fantastic. I got the chicken and Kafta kabob combo which came with rice, hummus and salad. Everything just tasted great. Chicken was chunky and the Kafta was very tasty. I'm not from the area, but this was a solid meal!

Hosted a teacher appreciation luncheon and had it catered by Green Olive... food was amazing! So many compliments paid for delivery and it was absolutely worth it. Thank you for everything!!!

I don't know why but the food is amazing. Yes I recommend this place. The restaurant is busy and there is waiting time. I hope my review don't make my waiting time longer.

Sooooo good! The potatoes are my favorite. The food always has such a great flavor. I love the chicken schwarma wrap.

Food was super delicious! This was what i was craving, and i got exactly what i wanted. The prices are also great, service is good and fast! Cashiers are super helpful, definitely recommending this place

Good food, but takes way too long. Been coming here for the past two years. Usually good, but there's been more than a few times when they've taken 30 minutes to prep my food (one order of salad) when ordered on-site. Showed up before 11:30 AM, but still slow. I think they get a lot of phone orders, which is cool, but wish they wouldn't make the customers at the restaurant wait. I hope they can improve their timing.

This place SUCKS. I mistakenly ordered via Uber eats from this location, thinking it was the Downey spot. After realizing it, I figured that they would be just as tasty and generous with their portions as the Downey location. Needless to say, I set myself of for disappointment. They are by far the most ungenerous and tasteless (lacked seasoning) Mediterranean food restaurant I've ever patronized! I ordered wraps for my family and they were mostly lettuce. The portions were significantly small and they didn't even include olives and extra peppercinnis! Sufficed to say, a good lesson was learned. I will NEVER order from this location again.

Love the food here. So fresh and delicious and they have thee best hummus I could eat spoonfuls. Service is always great, we always have a large order for our family and they always get it right! flavors and quality are consistent. I love the #8 plate because I love the kafta :)

This is the best Mediterranean food I ever had. Everything on their menu is perfect. So far I had the side of potatoes and the works plate. The works comes with 3 meats, rice, salad, falafels, pita and stuffed grape leaves. The price is super affordable for the top quality of this food!

During the lunch my friend and I were looking for a place to eat on Yelp and we have come across The Green Olive. We decided to give it a try. It is located inside a business park not regular shopping plaza. There were plenty of parking. We have ordered below plates: - #10 Gyro Mix with Rice - ok - #10 Gyro Mix with Salad - ok, Chicken was tender but multiple burn. The beef was ok. The Gyro was a bit salty. Lemonade Pure Leaf Black Tea no sugar Overall the Green Olive deserves 3.8-4.0 stars. The cashier was friendly and food amount was decent which give it a plus.

Beautiful baklava. Wow. This place might be on par, or might I say even better, than reigning champion Pita Hot. I haven't made up my mind yet, but I can't think of one thing I ate that I didn't like (except the pita bread rip). Everything especially the gyro, skewers, grape leaves, hummus, baba ganoush, salad was so so so amazing and tender and flavorful. On the pricy side but also such a great meal. Currently craving. What a hidden gem this place is! My wife and I were in the area and searched in YELP for lunch spots, and this popped up. We're so grateful we went there. I ordered a mixed plate with Gyro, Kafta, and Beef Kabob. My wife ordered the chicken Shwarma plate. Everything was wonderful. The meats were cooked well, flavorful and juicy. The salad had a unique dressing that was light and refreshing. The rice was delicious, as was the green sauce, garlic sauce & tzatziki. The pita provided a perfect tool to push the rice and pick up bites of meat. We don't live anywhere near this place, but we both were looking forward to returning. We were lucky to find seats, because the place is small. Plan accordingly. We highly recommend it.

A little hard to find but this is a hole in the wall gem. The food was delicious and it's clear to see with how busy it was with a line out the door. Service staff was friendly and quick. This is more of a order to pick up location since there is limited seating inside. Overall will definitely be returning !

Best Mediterranean food ever! The servers are nice and the place is small but clean. I love to get the beef and chicken skewer plate. The chicken salad is amazing as well.

Best Mediterranean food in the area. We drive from the farthest point of whittier to get food from here, and I'd probably drive another 10 miles (if I had to) to eat here- it's that good! The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially when my mom asks a million questions about keto and gluten free options. Food is always fresh and seasoned perfectly. Rice is never bland, the hummus and tzatziki is on point, and that green sauce of theirs is amazing on everything. The chicken kabob is really moist and for what you're paying, you get a great portion. Dolmas and falafels are great too!! The only downside is that the dining area is not large so I always have to rethink taking my large family there and we revert to pickup instead. It's ideal for local people who want a quick bite on their lunch break.

Wrist experience ever. I place my salad order at 11:24am it's already 12:00pm and still haven't received my order but yet 4 peoples came in after me and they got their order before me. Crazy experience like wtf

Thank you guys for such wonderful service and great tasting food. I think the girl who took my order was named Ashley, she's amazing. She was very attentive, patiently took my order-answered all my gluten , dairy & sesame allergy concerns. This place is great for anybody concerned about cross contamination or certain food allergies and of course anybody looking for good healthy quality food.

Great Mediterranean food! Huge portions and reasonable pricing. My husband and I are able to share the works combo that comes with 3 skewers of meat, rice, salad, 2 falafels and 2 grape leaves. Best falafels around! And they have a secret green sauce that leaves you wanting more!

The food here is excellent. It never disappoints and their combos are plentiful and delicious as well as their sauces. Highly recommend it. I've always ordered for pick up only.

A customer who went into this establishment was treated so unfairly today. Felt bad for him. He was accused of trying to "steal/take" a bottled beverage when he clearly ordered it with the cashier. It is a small place so you can clearly hear everyone's order/business. Truly unfair the way he was confronted and accused. He even told the cashier man to check his order records in his computer. But instead he was told to put the beverage back. This establishment should teach their employees some respect and manners. Be sure to ask for a receipt if you eat at this establishment to avoid any embarrassing accusations of trying to "steal/take" stuff. Gave a 1 star rating cause doesn't allow to give a 0 star rating.

The food at The Green Onion was so good. The food is also a really good value. We ate there, which was a pleasant experience. There are some tables inside and outside. The woman who brought our food out was really nice. I will definitely eat here again.

Not even close to real Mediterranean Lebanese food. Knock off restaurant trying to be Mediterranean food too expensive Mediterranean food is about flavor not spicy salad dressing is too spicy. It is white creamy, salad dressing not an olive oil flavor with a fresh taste. Very disappointing paid a lot of money. Chicken kebabs have no flavor very dry just charbroil. So-called Mediterranean salad had a white dressing on it that was entirely too spicy. That's not the protocol for a Mediterranean diet.

Food was amazing and fresh, good size portion as well... Highly recommend! You can't go wrong with the #7 and the Gyro's.

Always get the same great quality food from Green Olive! Ordered catering multiple times for family events and it's always a hit. Beef is always still tender even after delivery!
