The Greenway Hotel & Spa

We have just enjoyed another family lunch celebrating a birthday. We chose the panel room to enable the grandchildren to relax and make a noise if they wished to. Elise from the Greenway was very helpful once again and allowed us to secure our choices for lunch. We had drinks in the lounge before lunch. The food was all very good and all the staff we encountered were great. We had use of the room until late afternoon . We would highly recommend the hotel, especially for special events.

I had the most gorgeous Christmas lunch with a group of friends today. The food was wonderful. Beautifully presented and so delicious. The turkey especially was so the best I've had in a long time. It was very generous for the price, and all in a great setting. The staff were all attentive but not intrusive. I will most definitely be coming back very soon. We stayed for 3 nights at The Greenway so that we could relax before Christmas. We have just moved house & prior to our arrival had visited numerous friends & family.|We just needed somewhere to chill out. The Greenway was the perfect place.|James was very welcoming on our arrival & all the staff from there on were excellent. Super efficient Ji the food & beverage manager, who could not have been more obliging. Rav the barman who was always smiling & made an excellent G & T. The waiting staff including Nesha, Nadia & Katy. Also a lovely blonde girl whose name we don’t know. They all looked after us extremely well. I am recovering from 4 fractures in my foot & ankle so couldn’t go to the spa but definitely next time.|The head Chef was very obliging & made wonderful vegan dishes for me, especially on our last night.|We now feel fully recharged ready for the mad dash towards Christmas. Thank you to all of the staff, you are a great team.

This building is stunning and beautifully furnished throughout. The food is excellent and perfectly served. Staff are very professional . The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a five is firstly, the electrics in Room 12 were completely incomprehensible and despite many attempts to get JUST side lights on , we failed. Secondly, children are allowed in the luxurious, generously proportioned, calming, spa. Kids Jumping in the pool and playing ball games didn’t help me unwind or switch off. Very surprising for a hotel like this.

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. The staff were amazing and the food was phenomenal (go for the 7 course taster menu, it's definitely worth it!). The tranquil spa and comfy sofas by open fires are perfect for relaxation.

Stayed for 2 nights for our 28th wedding anniversary. The hotel was quiet and relaxing and our room 27 was clean, spacious and well equipped. Dinner and cooked breakfast in the restaurant was excellent (although the continental breakfast could have done with a few more options e.g. fruit, cheese and cold meats etc.). ||The staff were lovely, especially Nadia and Jasmine in the restaurant and Jane in the spa, who were efficient but also very warm, friendly and welcoming. The spa itself is small but very well laid out with steam room, sauna, outdoor hot tub, pool and a small gym (which could do with some heavier weights).||Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to walk the grounds, but the view from the restaurant was amazing.||All in all, we had a lovely, relaxing time and will visit again.

Went for a spa afternoon. The positives: great massage, lovely warm outside hot tub in delightful garden area, nice sauna. Pool area was ok - bit cramped with the loungers. My only negative was there was no relaxation area, which you usually get at a spa - just a busy thoroughfare to sit in. Also there were signs up telling you to wear the slippers provided but when I asked I was told they don't give out slippers any more to day visitors. Overall good, but could be improved fairly easily.

I had the most wonderful maternity massage at the spa today with Debbie. I feel like a different person! I highly recommend it to anyone in need of some calm and relaxation during the final weeks of pregnancy. Update: My baby was born the next morning!

Disreputable Hotel. Made a reservation 5 months before our stay which they Cancelled 2 weeks prior to the stay. Offered no other accommodation for the situation which was during the busy summer season. We were leaving for UK within days which leaves us scrambling and doing it all while we should be seeing London. There are numerous boutique hotels in this area. Try ANY of these first.

Wonderful, comfortable, intimate country house hotel. The restaurant is expensive but everything it should be - my standards are very very sensitive to what I'm paying, and even given the size of the bill, no one puts a foot wrong. Rooms are not huge but beautifully decorated. Only downside of our last visit was that my husband wasn't that impressed with the continental breakfast, but the silly boy should just have had the full English, which was wonderful. Check the website for good value weekend deals.
