I'm from way out of town and we went here 2 days ina row. Can't compliment enough! Everything was so fresh baked and so tasty. The cinnamon roll was so good and not too sweet, more cream cheese type. Fresh toast and biscuit and gravy amazing!

We had a quick and late lunch with fast & friendly service. We both had omelettes and then shared a Caramel Pecan Scroll. My bf said it was the best scroll that he’s ever had! No photo as he swiftly devoured it.

Another Boise Breakfast Favorite! We definitely come for the flavor and next level service. Definitely worth the wait! Did I mention the flavor!! First start with their fresh squeezed orange juice. For breakfast and brunch there are so many options to choose from, do not hesitate to let the staff know what dishes you are looking to try. They have excellent suggestions and have great sides and substitutions ideas I cannot get over the gravy train, perfect over hashbrowns. The chicken fried streak is not the normal mush, they have the crispiest and perfected breading over again the delicious gravy. The corned beef and hash browns and definitely not canned.

First off I recommend coming early like 8am or 9 at the latest. After that expect to wait. I've been here multiple times and recommend pretty much everything. This go around I got the banana pancakes. They were bomb! Cooked to perfection. They are all about natural and non artificial. Also make sure to get the fresh squeezed OJ!

Delicious food! Lots of options for vegan, plant based, GF, and meat eaters! Fast friendly service in a quiet environment. Strawberry basil mimosa was very tasty!

I’ve always loved this place but I had a bad experience this time. We ordered our breakfast. We sat near the kitchen and bar. After some times, I saw our breakfast on the counter to be bussed to our table. Our server was happily chatting with her coworker. Meanwhile, our food sat at the counter. After 7 min of our food just sitting there, the server finally brought it to us. By then, the food was cold, potatoes were dry, and the French toast was drenched in syrup, soggy and gross.

We were absolutely thrilled with our breakfast. One of the best places we have eaten at this year! Clean, friendly, and fast. The hash browns were cooked to perfection as was the bacon and the French toast. I had the savory crape and it is by far one of the best breakfast items I've tried in my entire 44 years of life!

First time coming to The Griddle, and it didn't disappoint. Great warm feeling coming in. The staff were super nice and attentive. The pancakes were fluffy and thick. Butter and syrup make my breakfast awesome. Cheese and scrambled eggs with crispy bacon were also ordered and tasted amazing. I ll be back for sure.

It's always busy here and for good reason. It's a classic breakfast spot with really solid specials and a classic breakfast menu. Lively but not too loud inside. I'd say it's somewhere between a nice upscale restaurant and a greasy spoon.

Had a great experience today! Came at 7am, right as they opened. John A welcomed me in and was my server. He was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the stuffed French toast with huckleberries. Texas toast was used for the French toast and cream cheese and huckleberries spread between the two slices of bread. Ordered a latte and they use quality expresso beans. Always thrilled when a breakfast spot has the full espresso menu (and not just coffee). Everything was delicious. Inside is nicely decorated. I think this is a chain but they don't have any locations where I live in Seattle, which is too bad because this is a good breakfast spot!!!

It's been a while since I have been to this Griddle location but we sure did have such a great experience there today. A couple of my friends and I met for breakfast today. It wasn't super busy so I grabbed a table. A server cane, dropped off menus and grabbed my drink order. She got me all squared away and Leah took care of me till my friend is showed up. After everyone got settled and looked over the menu, we worked on our fresh orange juice and coffee. The Griddle will always have the best Oj in town. It's hard not to suck down the whole cup in one gulp. The coffee was hot and fresh. For breakfast I got 2 eggs and bacon. The eggs were fried nicely. My hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, my favorite. I got 3 slices of bacon that was crispy and salty. I also got a side of country gravy for my hashbrowns. I like that their gravy isn't so thick, it had a great consistency to it. Everything was delicious! Leah did a great job taking care of us. My third friend was running late but Leah checked up on us. Had our coffee cups filled and took our empty plates away to give us more space. I will have to say, this location has the best staff. Compared to the other locations, The Griddle Park Center is fantastic.

I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict and it was so good! The delicious hollandaise sauce, with the right amount...not skimpy like some places can be. Also ordered, was the Huevos Rancheros and the Salmon Eggs Benedict, with an Espresso on the side. All three dishes were made to perfection, and I'm a picky breakfast person, when going out and trying new places. The waiter was very attentive, very kind, and made the experience all the more better! I loved the atmosphere, we sat outside; and it was covered enough to block the sun from shining in your eyes and feel open, at the same time! Very clean, cute tables and chairs, and a welcoming feeling! Great job!

Hubby & I were in town for fun, short weekend. We showed up for Sunday brunch at 11:30, had a 20 min wait. We asked for an outside table, which was perfect. I started with a VERY good Bloody Mary followed by chilaquiles with red sauce & over-medium eggs. Delicious! Hubby had a good iced tea, raspberry stuffed french toast that was good (I would have preferred the raspberry sauce more tart). He said the chuck patty he ordered on the side was very good. Service is not fast, but worth it. Total time from arrival was 1 hr 20 min.

When we arrived, the line appeared to be long, but we were seated in less than five minutes. I ordered the quinoa, chorizo, and egg tostadas meal along with a hotcake. It was delicious! I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

Love the place! The location is expanded and thats where I normally go. This place has good value for the portions that you get. They have mimosas and canned cocktails. The hollendaise sauce is unlike anything I've ever had. Its great! They do stuff from scratch nothing processed or premade.

The Griddle always pulls through for a delicious breakfast spot. Their omelettes and hotcakes are AMAZING! We are always happy with our food and service.

The hostess has no idea what she is doing. She quoted me an hour to an hour and a half for a table of 7. Naturally, that's too long of a wait for breakfast so we went to the place next door. 15 min later our table was ready. Quoting me that much time to only then turn the table in 15 min is wild. Hosting can't be that hard but I guess I was wrong?

Normally, this place is great. However, this time we were told 45 minutes for a table of 3. Waited an hour and tables of 4-10 people who got there after us were seated before we were. Order was wrong and was charged for the side that was delivered wrong (not what I had ordered). Food was fine, but overall not worth the money.

I'm a lover of biscuits and gravy. Popeye's makes great biscuits; Carl's Junior makes great biscuits. The Griddle? Not so great. They either pile in the baking soda, or they add fifty percent pancake mix. The result are biscuits that are very thick, albeit fluffy. But they lack taste. Lastly, the gravy has way too much pepper.

We were driving home to Washington state from Wyoming and after driving all night and sleeping for a couple hours we woke up needing some breakfast and coffee. I looked up this place and reviews and pictures looked good. Once we got there around 10 realizing it was Sunday I thought we'd be waiting awhile but it was a 5-10 minute wait. We sat down in a nice little booth, the very friendly server came right over and got us some coffee!! I'm not sure if I just really needed coffee but it was very decent house coffee!! I ordered the Wild West scramble with sourdough toast. She brought some yummy homemade jam too. This scramble was delicious and the hashbrowns perfectly cooked. My husband had the French toast with two eggs and bacon. The French toast was so fluffy and just melted in your mouth. The amount of bacon you got was more than normal and it was delicious too!! Great, delicious, affordable little place!! Service was great too!!

Most delicious Quiche Lorraine I have ever tasted, it wasn't even my breakfast but I made it mine! Crab Cake Benedict was excellent, the hollandaise sauce was yummy! Our server, Ray was very friendly and fun!

Always well prepared servings We will be back soon . We have been to 3 different locations and never disappointed.

This place is awful. Overpriced, dry cinnamon rolls, and awful environment. Come here if you wanna start your day off one the wrong note.

We're from out of town, but this was our second time dining at The Griddle. It wasn't busy, but the server was attentive and kind. We had the house salad with chicken, kids chicken strips, and a really tasty chicken wrap. The atmosphere was bright and clean. We will be back next year, when we're back in town!

We were in town for move-in weekend and looking for a place with good food to try before leaving the kid behind. This is the place. I got the French toast combo and the French toast is just on point. Not overly fancy or overstated, but just right. Bacon was cooked just the way me and most everyone else likes it. In our party also got the Rosie's French toast and I can honestly say I've never seen the look of pure shock and joy on someone's face from the first bite throughout the meal. It was like it unlocked something in her. The Caribbean French toast made with coconut was also said to be very good (I'm not a coconut fan, so I can't confirm nor deny it, but judging on everything else it's good) We will be back, probably every single time we are eating breakfast in Boise for the next 4 years

Awesome breakfast place. The service was top notch considering it was really busy. The food has fair prices and even better quality. If I lived near by, this would be a common occurrence. The mimosas were notable as well. It is a bit loud and crowded, may have to wait for a seat.

Had breakfast here today. Came around 9:15am and was seated right away tables available inside and outside. I ordered the two eggs with meat. Two eggs poached and bacon with hash browns and toast. It was moderate on the noise level. And they are a dog friendly restaurant with water and goodies for the doggies. Friendly service and good food. The oatmeal lavender latte was tasty. Plenty of parking out front.

Only putting one star because I have to otherwise it would be 0 stars If you are a person of color do not come here. Host made us walk ourselves to our seats and did not give any menus. Family of whites gets sat next to us and given menus right away. We left and they still had the audacity to have a great day after not serving a customer.

They told me 20 minutes but was only about 10, which was great! Great service fast but no pressure to leave immediately. Enjoyed our meal! I didn't take a picture of the pancakes but they were delicious. You have to try them with the Bacon Caramelized Pecan sauce.

My eggs were properly cooked, hash browns needed help, they were cooked at too low of heat to properly brown and cook. My gravy was fabulous, biscuits were the standard Bisquick restaurant fare. My dining companion's crepes were fantastic. The service was friendly.

We were in town from California with 16 girls for a soccer tournament on Mother's Day weekend. We descended on this cute little breakfast place to get the girls fed before their game. The staff was so accommodating and got us in and out in under an hour. No easy task when seating and serving up such a large group! Staff set up tables and chairs, took our orders and maybe 15 minutes later, everyone was getting served their meals. The food was delicious and tasty! I was so surprised because I totally expected a long wait given it was Mother's Day and brunch time. Thank you to the staff for getting us fed and to the field on time. We won our game too!

I'd say WELL with the wait! THE Husband and I went on a Sunday morning around 10:30AM so we had about a 30 minute wait which is a prime time. They've created a sweet retro cafe ambiance and the service is quick and every part of the food made my taste buds sooo happy! I got an omelette with hash browns and had to order the Waffle separate but the quality of flavor well worth it! Plus the cappuccino made my little heart so happy! Ever in Boise, Idaho I highly recommend this spot!

I enjoy coming to the Griddle. We came after a doctor's visit. You walk in, and it's self sitting. We found a booth by a window. The restaurant is warm and busy mild noise. The bathrooms are clean for sharing with the other businesses next to them. We love the fresh orange juice. My friend ordered a glass of orange juice with a raw egg on the side. Our server looked confused as I did, lol.. but she still brought the juice and a raw egg he cracked it into his juice and drank it. The coffee was not as strong as other times that I had been here. My daughter got a latte it looked good she enjoyed it. I did have to wait a long while after she took our order for a refill on my coffee. By the time they were not busy. Once she got our food, it was hot and delicious

Awesome SE Boise local breakfast and lunch place! Shhhh don't tell everyone but the breakfast is phenomenal!

This place has become my go-to farewell restaurant before leaving Idaho. I arrive at the airport feeling full and ready to travel. My favorite is the chilaquiles as they are full of flavor, crunch, and spice. It's nice that they come with scrambled eggs and avocado to give protein and substance to such a yummy dish. On a different visits, if I am craving a sweet breakfast the raspberry crepe hits the spot. While not overly sweet, it is a bit rich, and has a sweet and savory taste. I wish I had money and room in my belly to eat a whole lot more.

These cups are ridiculous. They are only 3" tall! Our juice sizes are smaller than our kids milk. I asked how much more the bigger glass is and they said double price. I paid $4.50 for this orange juice, give me a break. Why even pay for the large when they don't fill it, (See chocolate milk.) What's silly is you get the larger cup when you eat inside the restaurant. When you order to go, you get the small cup. The cranberry juice is just bottled juice. I normally would disregard but paying $80 for the food and then they skimp on that is just insulting. Food wasn't very good, very soggy.

Been meaning to try this spot out! Came in on a busy brunch Sunday and timing was still admirable from the kitchen. Food was great while we sat on the cute patio. Ally wasn't our server but she was my favorite and SO kind and attentive when she was at our table

Pricing was reasonable, service was quick and good, and the food was relatively tasty. Nothing special but I'd be back in a pinch for a good breakfast! Restaurant was clean. The orange juice is delicious and fresh squeezed!! Wish the two eggs any style included 2 pieces of toast instead of just one. The bacon was a little weird.

I've been to Boise countless times but I've only ever gone to The Griddle for breakfast/brunch. I could have easily tested another spot, but The Griddle always delivers. Amazing food. Impeccable service. Phenomenal prices. It's a triple threat in the breakfast world! Breakfast Sandwich: Anytime there's a breakfast sandwich offered on a croissant, I have a hard time turning it town. It's good! I wish the ham had been in sliced Canadian bacon form instead of cubes, but ultimately it was delicious. Hash browns: I usually ignore hash browns or breakfast potatoes because they're bland or undercooked. Not at The Griddle! I couldn't help but keep going back for more and more of these. Caribbean French Toast: I order this every time I visit. It's outstanding French toast! The toasted coconut crust is perfection. I wish every diner offered this dish but I know they wouldn't do it justice. I highly recommend you give this dish a try! Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun: wowowowwowowowowow. I saw this in the display case and had to try it. I'm so glad I did. It's the best sticky bun I've ever had! One bite and you're in heaven. COVID: All servers were wearing a mask, hand sanitizer was available, and social distancing is enforced. Dog Friendly: The outdoor patio is very dog friendly! And our waitress brought my pup a big bowl of water.

We went to The Griddle for a family breakfast while visiting Boise. I write this review with the understanding we were a party of 8 and it is harder to accommodate larger parties. However, while we waited for over an hour(when our original wait time was 20-25 minutes) we became very impatient. It did not seem like the host and the rest of the serving staff was on the same page or even had good working chemistry. The servers at one point told us they were going to combine outside tables for our party, while waiting, the hostess came out and separated our tables and gave them to smaller parties. We almost left with the inconsistency of sit time as well as the inconsistent communication between staff. Due to having waitied 50mins we decided what was another 10-20 was worth the continued wait. At one point, other patrons told us it's always like this but the food is worth it. So, we decided to continue to wait. We finally got sat and our server was wonderful. By far making up for the poor waiting experience. Her name is Dylan and she was fantastic! She alone deserves all the kudos. We all finally ordered and it was probably another 30-40mins wait(not crazy long for a party our size and all the food coming out together which I appreciate). The food was pretty good with the pancakes being the absolutely best. I don't tend to order sweets at breakfast/brunch but man am I glad I did! My gravy train was okay and the rest of the party felt that their meals were 3/5 stars at best. The breakfast burrito was reviewed well and so we're the chilaquiles. We also had a round of bloody Mary's and mimosas. The blood Mary's were delicious, not bar setting, but good to satisfy. Overall, if you are a big party in Boise you may want to look elsewhere, but for a small party under 4 this diner in Boise is worth trying. All in all our total time was 2.5 hours between waiting and leaving(food for thought).

I was excited to stop by The Griddle for the first time about 10 this morning. Unfortunately the experience wasn't very good. My waitress was excellent: cheerful and welcoming. The coffee was great. I was mentally rubbing my hands together in anticipation of eggs Benedict with extra-crispy hash browns. Though the place wasn't full, maybe everyone came in at once before I got there. I'm guessing that because the wait was so long that my waitress came over twice to apologize for the delay. She assured me the experience I was having wasn't normal for them. Though I could see her keeping an eye out for my plate so she could snatch it, it wasn't hot when it reached me. The hash browns were black in places and def tasted burned. I'll try them again because they're close to my house, but next time I think I'll go with something simple, like bacon and eggs.

My husband ordered chicken fried steak and I got the California eggs Benedict with gravy on my hash browns! Let me tell you....GRAVY IS GOLD!!! They make quality food, it's a little busy and crowded but not in a bad way, just be prepared if you're an introvert or have anxiety around lots of people. The food was literally so delicious I wanted to order the whole meal again (but I didn't...cuz that would be wrong) our waitress was so sweet and was on the ball with refilling our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed.

This was a hearty diner with yummy food and great service! I got the seasonal special southwest benny with pulled pork. Adding chalula to it gave it the little kick it needed. Tasty hash browns that were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. My hubby got the sausage gravy smothered hash browns with toast that was super filling. The French toast was highly recommended so I'll have to return for that.

GodNephew's choice for brunch. We all simply followed suit. It's a really cute diner! I don't know what it is about this place, but it felt homey soon as I walked in. Our party of 8 was seated and given menus immediately. The first thing I normally go or search for in a diner is chicken fried steak. But wasn't feeling it that day for some bizarre reason. When Big Bro mentioned that's what he was getting, I figure I'd just try a bite off his plate. It was almost trivial that I couldn't find anything to interest my palate off their menu. But when our server presented herself as well as their off-the-menu specials, the decision was easy. "I'll have the Denver sandwich special, please?" (Honestly, I didn't really pay attention to her description, I just thought I'd surprise myself.) And although it was a hot day out, I was seated right by the AC's vent so that called for a hot chocolate. (Topped with mini marshmallows, it hit the spot and gave me the warmy in my tummy.) Now, there's 8 of us (one toddler included) so a wait is understandable. But nope, their kitchen staff is pretty dang quick as all our orders came out all at once in no time! My special!? It's a ham steak and egg in toasted bread. Its appearance is very simple but surprisingly tasty. I was actually taken aback at the number of flavors poppin' out of this sandwich. Even the egg was seasoned right and melded well with the ham. A good surprise indeed. As stated earlier, I got a taste of Big Bro's chicken fried steak. Presentation is different since not only do they plate the steak and gravy separate from its sidekicks, the steak topped the gravy (instead of the other way around.) Much prefer it that way. Steak and gravy flavor wise were satisfactory but nothing out of the ordinary. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 4.5. She was attentive and available when needed. VALUE: 3.5 PARKING: Private lot shared with others. Not an issue. OVERALL: 4. I should be more open to off-the-menu specials. Gotta keep that in mind for future visits!

Fantastic experience! We at first attempted to dine at the Trolley House but they RAN OUT OF FOOD. Yes, it's true, read my review for them to know more. The Griddle was quite busy, being Father's Day & Sunday, but we weren't turned away, just a short wait for a table. After a long and busy day all of the staff were still quite pleasant and friendly. Our server, Anabelle, was exceptionally nice. Happy to answer all of our questions and always back with a hot coffee refill. The inside was crowded, but not loud. Food was quick, plentiful, warm and delicious. House-made mango jam was delicious on a toasted croissant. We are glad that Trolley House closed as we had a wonderful time at the Griddle.

I literally arrived, snagged the last bar table and had food within 10 mins of arrival. Cool couple sitting next to me I was able to chat with and not be a complete loner. They had quiches which they said were pretty amazing, I got the waitresses recommendation which was the plain French toast. It was REALLY GOOD just the plain Jane version so I can only Imagine what the other flavored ones tasted like. It was 3 really big pieces. Thick but soft and a really nice balance French toast flavor. The place was packed with a waitlist so that should tell you all you need to know. Parking is plentiful. Everyone nice and friendly

I had a very pleasant time at The Griddle. It was crowded when I showed up on that damp, foggy morning and was told there was a wait but not if I didn't mind sitting outside. For me, coming from Vegas, I jumped on the opportunity to sit in the shaded, covered in fog and just bask in the whimsicalness of it all. The patio was very cozy and not surrounded by a ton of other businesses so there was a serenity to it. Upon looking at the menu, I found a few items that piqued my interest though to tell you the truth, not many. The menu seemed quite traditional and just when you thought it was going to get interesting, it slumped back to normalcy. I ended up ordering a short stack of hot cakes, tea, chocolate milk, and the chorizo benedict. My food came promptly which was a godsend since I had to wait to long at Goldy's the day before. The tea and milk were standard, the portions of the hotcakes and benedict were massive and I actually had a hard time finishing it. That being said, the hotcakes had a good flavor but were dry and could've used much more butter and syrup, the chipotle hollandaise sauce was so thick and a bit too smokey for my taste, and the chorizo was in link form, not the crumbled form that I am used to in the Southwest US. Overall, a very pleasant experience and nothing really to complain about; I just wish I enjoyed my food a bit more.

The service is VERY slow; but it is President's Day. The decaf coffee is weak. We ordered orange juice, then noticed that other people were being served carafes of o. j. The server did not inform us of that option. It is VERY loud, making conversation difficult. Food is tasty and well presented.

Yum. Got auntys spud 10.1/10 it was delicious. And got the stuffed huckleberry French toast and the cream cheese with it just really made it delicious. Freshly squeezed oj was yummy. Our server was super nice. Busy place so be ready for a wait, but it was worth it.

If you go on a week day, be mindful of the school rush hour. It's really close to a school, so there was a lot of traffic nearby. Otherwise a great breakfast spot with ample parking. Has an updated diner vibe. I had the combo #2 which included eggs, meat (bacon), and hotcakes. Wow, those hotcakes were so fluffy. I ate both of them. I don't know what they do to that batter, but those were some of the best pancakes I've had in a while, and I love ordering pancakes. The bacon was thick and on the crispy side but still good. I gave my eggs to my coworker who seemed to have no complaint. He got the salted caramel French toast and devoured that with no problem and my other coworker got the crepes and liked that too. Overall, great service. Food took a tad longer than I thought it would but not as long as some places I've been. I think the chefs ensure great food is coming out. I am placing this on my list of spots to eat again at when I'm in Boise. Oh and they do have a patio, but it was a little chilly and shady that morning so we ate inside.
