The Grill: A Hidden Gem Serving Real Flavor in the Heart of Pleasant Grove.
Tucked inside a gas station off N. Buckner Blvd, The Grill is the kind of spot that reminds you what makes Pleasant Grove special — hard work, bold flavor, and genuine hospitality. As a food critic, I ordered the works — the beef quesadillas, pork chops, links, and cheeseburger — because to understand a kitchen, you have to taste its full story.
And this one speaks loud. Every dish carried its own signature — the pork chops especially. Perfectly breaded, golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender inside — a flawless bite every time. The beef quesadilla was generous and rich, packed with flavor; the burger hit that old-school balance of seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a perfect sear; the links tasted like backyard barbecue done right. Even the fries were seasoned to perfection — small details that make a big impression.
But what truly elevates this place is the chef. You can taste his experience in every plate — that confidence that comes only from years behind a hot grill. He’s personable, grounded, and proud of his craft. Pair that with classic hip-hop playing through the speakers and you’ve got a vibe that’s authentic to the core.
The best part? Four full plates for around $50. That’s value. That’s community. That’s exactly what Pleasant Grove needs — quality food that doesn’t break the bank, cooked by someone who cares.
If there’s one suggestion I’d make, it’s to clear some of the merchandise in the back and add a few tables. This food deserves a real dine-in experience. But even as it stands, The Grill is a gem — humble in setting, rich in flavor, and absolutely worth the stop.
Five stars, without hesitation. Pleasant Grove, this one’s for us.
