The Crabby Melt was tasty! The sandwich had a perfectly crispy, golden-brown crust, and the inside was a delicious blend of creamy, cheesy goodness with fresh tomatoes and crab, making each bite indulgent and satisfying. The crab cake, however, seemed to have a bit more filler than expected, and I’m not entirely sure it was all crab – but it still tasted good. The soup was a great complement – thick, creamy, and packed with flavor, though it could have used a bit more crab. Overall, I might return to try it again; maybe I’m just not used to this style of crab cake. I didn’t love it, but it was a good experience.

Haven't been in for years and decided to stop for a to go lunch. Ordered the Cuban sandwich which was pretty good. I'm not a fan of the yellow mustard. I would prefer brown and the brisket was a little fatty. With the being said, overall a nice sandwich. I recommend trying them out and supporting a local business owner!

So dang good! Our server was absolutely amazing. She was the only one working and juggling a million things yet was so kind and attentive. Everything we ate was absolutely amazing. Glad we found this place from the Diners Drive Ins and Dives website! It was a bit hard to find, in a very unassuming strip mall with a small sign.

7/6/24 This was on Triple D so had to try hehehe Quick lunch on our way to Cape May from AC. Hubby had the Flounder Rueben which was really good. I had the Softshelled Crab Grilled Cheese, she had me at softshelled crab hehehe. I like it a lot, just wished the crab was meatier. The Shore Fries sounded like a great idea, crab soup, bacon and old bay. The crab soup was way too salty for me, I felt my blood pressure rise rapidly…. The fries that was underneath was very good. Our waitress was so bubbly and nice. I hope she stays that way and not let rude people break her spirit. It’s a cute little space, with crab decor all around. I wish they were up north, I want to try everything!!!

This is a must go place. The food is great. The soups are some.of my favorites. You can build your own grilled cheese with amazing add ins. Staff are always nice.

Had the crab melt and the shore fries as take out. The crab cakes are made fresh, and you can definitely tell the difference! I can see why it is one of Guy Fieri's favourites. They were also very nice when I was asking questions due to some food allergies. The shore fries were my favourite, the crab soup on top of the fries was something I didn't know I needed in life.

They make the most perfectly exquisite grill cheese.. The ratio of cheese, bacon and french fries was perfect. The bread was grilled to perfection with just the right crunch overall it was the best grilled cheese we have had in a long time

I don’t live in the area, however whenever I’m visiting south jersey, whether it’s Alantic City or to one of the beaches, I make an effort to come here. Right off the parkway so super convenient location. The food here is incredible. Between the build your own grilled cheeses, the crab melts, etc. can’t go wrong with a meal here.

Great food and great service. The owner and waitress were so helpful with providing gluten free options. If you are a celiac or non celiac this is a great place to eat at.

Friends recommended this place so we thought we'd drive down and check it out. We ordered the crab soup. It was delicious. Then we split a crab cake, grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was delicious. Definitely big enough for the two of us to split. The sweet potato flies was a huge order. It came with a dusting of sugar, which is nicely with cranberry aïoli sauce, the sauce was delicious and very match perfectly with sweet potato fries the woman who waited on us was friendly and extremely courteous. She checked to make sure everything was OK. The place was decorated adorable and the restroom look like you were underwater. It was a fun place for me to celebrate my birthday.

Great little spot with great food and great service. If you are looking for something different and tired of the same old menu items, I recommend you try this place.

I saw this on Guy Fieri's DDD show and we decided to check it out. This turned out to be surprisingly good. The grilled cheese and crabcake sandwich was delicious. The crabcake inside was moist and the sandwich was grilled to a nice crisp. They also had a pork belly reuben sandwich, special, and my friend thought that was even better. We think this was the best stop of all the DDDs in our two days in NJ. I would love to go back and try more sandwiches. This was worth the drive and It is not too far south from Atlantic City.

Right before deciding to write this review, I was craving something from here for lunch. I was greeted very pleasantly by Gabby, who assisted me with my order when I was slightly indecisive because of so many choices. I settled on a grilled cheese with an add on, and also got a single supreme crab cake. After a short wait I was on my way. I liked the convenience of tapping to pay, with the ability to leave a tip. Also they use paper bags & eco friendly takeout containers, which is important to me. Their food is always great! I have ordered many items from the menu and am never disappointed. I will continue to be a customer & would recommend this establishment to others!

Love this place & their terrific crab cake sandwiches! The owners are wonderful & always great to their customers. My family & I highly recommend going here for an excellent meal.

I wish some of the "billions of combinations" they advertise on their menu included seasoning. The Mac and Cheese was absolutely the most tasteless food I've ever had, their burgers weren't far behind on the gnarly scale. Candidly I don't like to drag a place through the waters in public but the food I got was just horrible. I would have been better off going to McDonalds for a burger, at least that would have been seasoned, and Wawa has Mac n Cheese that at least has flavor unlike this which tasted like it was made by thickening some noodle water with leftover Cheez-It dust. I know I got a burger and Mac n cheese from a seafood place, so maybe that's partially my issue, but seriously - if you're going to sell burgers and Mac n cheese as a staple item at least do it right by seasoning the obviously frozen beef and make your Mac n Cheese actually taste like something. I saw someone else had a similar experience from their Google review and that's what inspired me to speak up - maybe it's just because this is out of season, but I will definitely not go back... and I'd say that almost 100 of the three star or lower reviews out of your 295 total reviews aren't satisfied either - if 33% of your reviews aren't thrilled perhaps there's something to address...

Came here with my food loving fiancé, mainly because I saw this place featured on diners drive ins and dives. The food was amazing and I cannot wait to go back next family vacation!

We stopped here for a takeout lunch based on the Guy Fieri DDD visit here. We were not impressed and definitely disappointed. We order a Maryland crab cake sandwich and an Ultimate crab cake sandwich which was supposedly "fully loaded" and $6 more than the Maryland. Both were supposedly made with lump crab. No lumps were visible in either. Lots of strands and shreds and filler, but no lumps. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and tasty. We also ordered a small cream of crab soup. This tasted like thick white sauce with Old Bay, some crab flavor and a piece of crab in every third bite or so. Not something I would order again. The best sandwich was the flounder which was crispy and not too bread-y Not worth the detour. Not coming back.

Absolutely delicious. And so reasonably priced. My crab cake sandwich (forgot the actual name, but you can't miss it) was packed with a huge crab cake. It was moist and delicious, with fresh toppings, on a gorgeous bun. I also got a salad with a crab cake, bc who doesn't want more crab cake? It appeared to be the same awesome crab cake I had in my sandwich. No complaints at all there. And apparently some famous foodie on TV has dropped by here. Guy Fiori? Fiorelli? Anyway, more reason to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped here on the way home from Wildwood Crest - another Jersey shore gem! Mac 'n cheese eruption was ridiculous and the grilled cheese was one of the best I've ever had. Any negative reviews about this place are just comical. The service is great and our server, Paige, was attentive. We even ordered food to bring home after dining in. Well done, guys.

Great comfort food! A little pricey for what it is and it's not the nicest in terms of layout and decor but we always enjoy going there! Spicy food lovers should get the angry cheesesteak!! It's an explosion of delicious heat in every bite. They have awesome fried pickles and of course any grilled cheese here is gonna be great

Don't go there for value. Go here for the sandwich you can't cook nearly as well. I've yet to try their mac and cheese as I'm more of a sandwich guy, but I will give one piece of critique. Our waitress, as we were upgrading from angry to pissed off neglected to mention that it is basically cayenne pepper extract or something similar to the next hottest thing as Prince's in Nashville. I could take it, but my wife didn't love it. Truly, nobody's fault as 2 of 3 sandwiches we ordered I can't make as good myself. The 3rd was still good: it just needs balance. I would recommend Barrons's or Last Dab to kick it up. The DDD sandwiches are worth the trip. Just don't go thinking you are going to McD's because everything is fresh and made to order. I will happily return!

I love grilled cheese and I love crab. So, it was a no-brainer to stop by this place right off the bridge after a day at the beach in Ocean City. Saturday pm around 7 saw a steady crowd of customers. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We had creamy crab soup, buffalo cheesesteak sandwich, regular cheesesteak sandwich, ultimate crab cake sandwich and Maryland crab cake sandwich (the waitress recommended this or the crab melt sandwich which she explained was a Guy Fieri favorite-in case we missed it written on the chalk board) on wheat. All of the dishes were good. The crab cake sandwiches and the crab soup were full of crab and seasoned very well. My toasted wheat was crispy and buttery, and gave me a sense of the deliciousness I would have enjoyed in a grilled cheese. The servers were on top of checking in..maybe a bit too much, as when we were clearly only halfway done our sandwiches, in fact, two of us were mid-bite..we were asked if we were ready for the bill. We said no but it was brought out and placed on the table anyway. NABD though, we still took our time to enjoy our food. Would go back and try a grilled cheese and Guy Fieri's fav crab melt.

Im a big fan of diner drive in and dives so when I learned he had done a local stop I had to go again and again and again. The shore fries are the bomb crrispy fries with cheesy goodness, creamy crab, bacon and old bay seasoning who could ask for anything more. Build your own Mac and cheese. Picked bacon and friend shrimp. Shrimp where big, crispy and flavorful and the Mac and cheese was cheesy with yummy bacon in each bite The shrimp basket with French fries was a peerfecr combination with purple color slaw which was delicious. The crab cake sandwich was broiled full of crab with some filling. Nicely seasoned. End the evening with achocolate covered Oreo!!! Service was friendly and fast.

great place, unique menu, owners care about the food and are vey hospitable. Give them a try. Great local favorite.

This place is a hidden gem, its small but yummy! Inside is quiet and there is not much seating but it wasn't too busy. the mac and cheese gets expensive with the more you add on. the service was fast and the staff was friendly.

Absolutely amazing sandwich and equally amazing sweet potato fries! From now on, anytime I visit OCNJ, I'm stopping here for a wonderful meal.

This little place was absolutely amazing and macaroni and cheese was Vermont cheddar, macaroni and cheese. Absolutely delicious very nice and battery and the crabcakes where amazing as well all together there was about eight of us and we couldn't even finish the meal. We had leftovers for the next day. It was a great experience even though we didn't eat there. We got takeout it's so is a very great experience. I will recommend this place to anybody that likes what their menu looks like.

If you are in the mood for a dreary day or night winter Comfort food this is your stop!! I go often ALL SEASONS. After all the yummy Thanksgiving feasts , a Build Your Own Grilled cheese and Mac and Cheese is Soooooo Good !!!! This place is great.

Best sandwich I've had in a while. Ordered their famous crab sandwich with a side of fries. They came outside to deliver curbside. The food was very well packed. The sandwich was delicious. It was hot freshly made and was melting in the mouth. The sauce was also very delicious. Fries were good too. This is a perfect place to stop and am grab some good sabdwich on your way to the beach.

What a lovely find. We stumbled upon this place during a very hungry drive to wildwood beach. Good reviews so we had to order a crab cake sandwich to get our beach day started. Order was prepared very quickly. Sandwich was melt in mouth with very flavorful bread. Staff had taken ample precautions due to Covid with hand sanitizers everywhere. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. It's worth a detour.

Our first time here. We first ordered the shorefries and they were delicious! Covered in their crab soup, old bay and crumbled bacon. Enough for three people to share. I then had the ultimate crab cake which was full of crabmeat and delicious! My son and husband had the crab cake melt and they were both VERY happy. We also ordered their cole slaw and it reminded me of my moms- finely chopped and sweet. We loved our meal and it is a great start to our week in OC!

I'm not a crab or seafood guy but you know what ? The crab melt "guy fiery recommends" was one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. I'd Stop in again just for that. Onion rings,fries,old bay fries - really great stuff man. Reminded me of nifty fifties in Philly. Check this place out dude and dudette's.

I called in for a pick up order 40 minutes before they closed at 7. They hung up on me. I called back a few times and the number was not available meaning they unplugged the phone. After calling back a third time a different employee picked up the phone. After describing what happened she put the person who hung up on my in the phone yet he did not admit it was him. When I picked up the food the second employee got it for me. As I was pulling out the male employee who hung up on me went back to the front meaning he avoided me. I understand that I called to order food 40 minutes before they close but that's no reason to unplug the phone. I would have understood if they said it is too late. I also do not like how a place that served dinner closes at 7. Besides that the food was good. I had my first gluten free crab cake and it was fairly tasty.

You wouldn't expect to find this place tucked away right off the Garden State Parkway in Somers Point, NJ because the area is generally expected to have "Shore" eats....not OFF THE WALL grilled cheese sandwiches! We first learned about this joint on Food Network and added it to our MUST EAT AT list. Well, we will just say that we will DEFINITELY be back! Pictured below is the Pork Belly Reuben and a "Build Your Own" Grilled Cheese Sandwich consisting of a Crab Cake, Mac and Cheese, Bacon, Gouda and American Cheese on Texas Toast. Can you say OMG!?!?!? I could only finish half of my sandwich as it was so rich (I had the pork belly). My BF completely DEVOURED his entire sandwich! We also shared the cream of crab soup which was good taste-wise but a bit too thick for our liking. Overall, this is a MUST VISIT stop on your next trip "Down the Shore

Heard about this place from someone else, so I had to give it a try. SOOOOOO GLAD I DID! I went with the crab melt. Why? Because Guy loved it and I figured I would love it too. After one bite I said WOW!!! I was simply amazed by the taste. I must admit, this place is a must try for those who are "foodies." I will return to try more items on the menu during my stay.

So this place wins for best find in the Ocean City area! We were the first customers of the day when the doors opened. Chef Anthony came out and said hello and offered his recommendations for the angry crab melt! The angry version had a spicy sauce and jalapeños which my friend asked them to hold. I opted for the regular crab melt as spicy food is not my thing. We also shared an appetizer of fried pickles. Let's start with pickles. They were thick hand cut slices that were freshly breaded. You could tell these were fresh and never frozen. So perfect! The crab melts...ridiculously gooey cheese that was still melting when served. The bread was buttery and toasted perfectly. The crab cake was lump crab meat with very little filer. Check out my photos to see what I mean. We were so stuffed, but forced ourselves to finish the very large portions. Next time I might try two different sandwiches instead of just going with one. There was also a cold cucumber honey due gazpacho we wanted to try on this super hot day but we just couldn't eat any more. The service here was fantastic! Friendly and Great recommendations, drink refills and a smile! Can't wait to return! Thank you for a fantastic meal!

My friend lives relatively close to The Grilled Cheese & Crab Cake Co. and I try to visit whenever possible. The restaurant is little and it's easy to drive past without even noticing it, but this is a must try especially if you are a foodie. My favorite is the crab melt, which is a grilled cheese with a crab cake and tomato on it, and all I have to say is wow - it is so delicious, gooey, and very filling. You can also get the sandwiches "angry style", where they will come with jalapeños and a spicy sriracha sauce. The menu is expansive and doesn't solely include grilled cheese, so there really is something for everyone (including kid options). Definitely stop by if you are passing through Somers Point and want one of the best grilled cheeses of your life.

I drove an hour with a friend to try this place I had heard so much about. We split a crab cake grilled cheese, a Cuban, and an order of their shore fries. We both enjoyed it all but agreed that on this trip, the Cuban was our favorite. All in all, it was worth the trip. I want to return to try more of the menu items.

Ordered fried pickles, tasted good but way to thick with breading... ordered Maryland crab cake sandwich and was very good, French fries were horrible though. I would get the sandwich again.

We didn't get grilled cheese or crab cakes, but the Shore Fries were divine! We will be back, and I can't wait!

This was our first visit to this amazing Inassuming restaurant. I read the reviews on yelp a few weeks ago and we knew that this was a must try destination. . Based on prior reviews and our incredible waitress Adriana, we both ordered the Crab Melt on Texas toast. The sandwich was amazing. The combination of the buttery bread with the Monterey Jack cheese and the grilled crab cake was outstanding. In addition, we ordered the sweet potato fries. I usually prefer something savory and I've have a little scared off by the description of the fries having a cinnamon sugar dusting with a cranberry aïoli dipping sauce. However when I tell you that this combination and flavors worked incredibly well and was just so satisfying. Just before warned, that most of these menu items are not geared to anyone watching their caloric or fat intake. However, 12 hours later I am still sufficiently full and satisfied so I did not need dinner. Our server was really helpful, professional and very kind. She help make this meal A special treat.

The food is not good and the service was terrible. I live blocks away and I would love to enjoy a place so close. I tried them a few times hoping to improve my experience...my mistake. Sure they were on DDD, but I don't recommend it. PS that's not a crab cake.

Like the old beef commercial.....where's the crab!!!! From a Bostonian this was upsetting!!!! My crab melt and crab Mac & cheese was not good and the crabmeat was so small in size & quantity. So disappointed!!!

Delivery is not your game. Please stop. Also the burger for a 6 year old was rare when requested to be Medium Well. This may have been decent if we were at the place, but everything was horrible delivered and we are now heading to McDonald's. I mean horrible. Soggy fries, rubber coconut shrimp, in styrofoam containers, no holes, then in a brown bag. There's $96.00 gone in a hurry.

I was staying in a hotel just down the road from here and decided to check it out. If you drive fast or if you aren't paying attention, you will drive right past this place. Very casual, intimate place where you can sit any place you like. There seemed to be only one waitress, but was keeping up with the pace. I ordered the "Build Your Own" Grilled Cheese with fries. Two cheese are included in the price, but there are "Add-Ons" for an additional $1.50. We ordered crab balls to begin our meal. They were pasty and seemed to be more mixing agent in the crab balls than crab meat, but they were edible. The grilled cheese and fries were just what we needed! I was just disappointed to get my order with Texas Toast instead of Rye bread like I ordered. It seemed to be BYOB and a place for the locals.

Ordered a crab melt and tomato soup take out during COVID. Good spot, glad I came. I thought the soup was really good. It was a nice addition for only $3. The sandwich was good but I found it too buttery. Maybe I shouldn't be critical of a grilled cheese for being too "buttery" but man, a little less and that sweet crab cake would really shine.

Stopped in for the Crab Melt sandwich. Was excellent. The Texas toast, fresh crab cake and cheese was a great combination. Great location. Area still under the COVID restrictions and this place decided not to open the inside for indoor dining. Not a big deal since they run your order to your car. If in area, stop in for this sandwich.
