I ordered a small cappuccino and a ham, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. The barista was sitting in the back reading and begrudgingly got up to take my order. The cost was over $10 and gave me a percentage option for tip starting at 15%. The breakfast sandwich alone was $6. I was expecting great things. I ended up with an okay capp and a tasteless microwaved egg patty and some cheese sauce on an oversized and dry biscuit with no ham. And I tipped before getting served so I was very frustrated about this carelessness.
I’ve had lunch here and it was better than this, but for my morning-pre-work starter it was a massive disappointment. The location and interior are of course nice and cozy with nice art, games and music. However, no outdoor seating in front is a bit of a detriment. I think there’s a back area but there is nothing to indicate this in the room and I’ve been here several times without ever thinking about or seeing it for myself.
The menu is a little different since the last time I was here so I fear the sandwiches and lunch options may have fallen off as well, but I’ll try again on some Saturday when I’m feeling brave.
