This bar exudes old-school elegance, with its dark wood-paneled walls, plush red carpet, and comfortable seating creating a warm and refined atmosphere. Service was outstanding - extremely attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. The cocktail menu is exquisite, with expertly crafted drinks, including the signature Singapore Sling. Drinks were served at exactly the right temperature, which added to the polished experience. Each drink is accompanied by three complimentary bar snacks: briny olives, perfectly seasoned roasted almonds, and crisp, delicate crackers - a thoughtful touch that enhances the overall experience. The bar food was equally impressive. The fried chicken was juicy and tender inside with a crispy golden crust, served with a delicious, mayo-like dipping sauce. The mushroom arancini were fried to perfection, rich with truffle and umami flavor. The oysters were fresh and bright, with a clean, zingy finish. All in all, a fantastic experience in the elegant setting of the Old War Office - a true gem for lovers of classic bars and fine service.

Highly recommend visiting to have the traditional Singapore Sling cocktail. Great attention to detail with beautiful cocktail garnishes (homemade balsamic vinegar soaked pineapple and marinated cherries) The bar also provided complimentary olives and nuts which were delicious. The signature cocktail is £25 each plus service, but worth it for the experience and provided snacks.

Classic hotel bar with old school elegance and wood panelled walls.Well executed cocktails, including the famous Slings. The staff are all very good, and I really appreciated the birthday wishes and champagne. Solid caviar menu.

I visited this bar a Saturday night around the last call. I wanted to go the the Spy Bar but it was full. I'm glad I was redirected to the Guards as I do not regret any second I spent here. The decor is so luxurious, it makes the experience special. The waiter was a true professional and made my friend and I feel important even if we were absolutely not hahaha I appreciated the lovely quotes in the menu, and the diversity of it. I got the Herbal British and would take it again.

Nicer than Raffles Singapore Sling which is more refreshing and lighter in Raffles London. Also a nice twist, London Sling

Nice cocktails, the London sling is very good. It's a nice place to sit as well, looking out at the large crowds on Whitehall from a place of calm. Service is perfect from everyone on the door through to our waiter. Will come back. Not cheap as you'd imagine but in line with the other top end hotels in London
