Came here for my anniversary, had the wagyu beef omakase set at 228++. Had an absolutely phenomenal platter of various beef and seafood. See pictures for more details of my praise. Most pieces of beef simply melt in your mouth even when it's medium rare. If I were to nitpick, around a third of the uni pieces given did not taste fresh. They had a distinct sharp bitterness that made them simply inedible, even when combined with other foods. I had to take them out and eat the rest without the uni sadly, as they are one of the pricier ingredients in the dish. Also, understanding that it is an omakase, the total meal time will be much longer than usual, but there were a few times when we waited almost 20 to 30mins for our next course after finishing our current, without any hint of why. Maybe a better pacing of the omakase by observing the food consumption speed would be better? Alas, they are going to close down here and maybe reopen elsewhere. Hope I can come back and have a meal again soon. But overall an extremely wonderful experience. 5/5. Edits: typo

Celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary here. Warm and intimate setting, quite different from other jap omakase places we have been before. Friendly staff. Generous servings. Delicious! Would return and recommend to friends!

Went for Restaurant Week under Dining City. Curated lunch menu with Wagyu Yakiniku upgrade at a special price. Every dish was delicious, cooked perfectly and served hot. The wagyu is truly melt in your mouth and full of flavour - for this value, unbelievable !Service staff were knowledgable, friendly and attentive. The place is cosy and yet spacious

Came here during restaurant week to try their omakase. What we paid for vs what was delivered were decent. It was just very noisy in the restaurant with kids running around making it hard to have a good conversation.

Had a great dinner at The Gyu Bar on a quiet weeknight. The ambience was calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was excellent—staff were attentive and very accommodating throughout. The olive beef was outstanding—rich, tender, and full of flavour. We also really enjoyed the meat platter, which showcased a variety of cuts done beautifully. In fact, everything we ordered was well-executed and delicious. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but absolutely worth every cent for the quality and experience. Conveniently located within the complex between the two hotels on Stevens Road. Will definitely be back!

This is one of the best Japanese Wagyu beef you could find in Singapore. I was playing host to my relatives at this restaurant. The restaurant is not the super high end type but because of the casual setting, high ceiling dining area, it made you feel relax and it’s a good place to dine with your friends and colleagues. We ordered Omakase sets, special wagyu tenderloin as well as several types of other tender wagyu cuts. The service staff is also very considerate and even suggesting types of dishes you order or share so you won’t get too much meats! I have tried many Japanese restaurants and in terms of Wagyu, this is one place you should try. In terms of booking experiences, once you have confirmed your reservations with the restaurant, it didn’t follow up with you when the dinner date is closer. I think this is one area they could improve. As for the price versus food quality, I think it is worth it. I will definitely go back again. $$&.

Had a fantastic lunch starting with an absolutely delicious maitake chawanmushi. Generous topping of mushroom slices, gently grilled to bring out the woody fragrance! Top notch quality ingredients for the shabu shabu. The olive and ohmi beef were beyond reproach, as was the delicious white corn in the delicate konbu broth. Seriously great quality right down to the shabu sauces and condiments.
