Now this is the coolest Bar in Downtown Mobile! Nicely down , decor and excellent crafted drinks!! The bartenders are “The Real thing “ and very professional! Plus the decor AA++

All the food tasted great. Fried mushrooms were cooked perfectly . Fish and Chips were surprisingly good! Cooked perfectly! If possible, sit outside. Not very pricey, very good time.

Our team at work went to The Haberdasher for drinks and some food. I had never been to The Haberdasher but I’ve heard it was good. Since I’m not much drinker I was there solely for the food. Our team a bunch of appetizers and I tried to try them all. There also was first thing that I tried was the French fries. I enjoyed them. They came with a mayo sauce. Not a big mayo on fries fan but it worked. I then tried the Brussels sprouts. Not sure what they were seasoned with but they tasted pretty good. Next was the chicken tenders. I dipped them in what seemed like a chili sauce. It had a lot of spice but it tasted good. The mahi mahi slider was next. It was my favorite appetizer. It was cooked to perfection and the sauce on the slider was very tasty. After that was the fish part of the fish and chips. I think the fish was cod. I was impressed by it. It wasn’t better than the mahi mahi but it was good. The last thing I tried were the avocado fries. I really like them. To be honest if I wasn’t full from the other food I would’ve eaten more of the avocado fries.

If you want to go to a place that has top notch bartenders and this is the place to go. These guys are professionals. They will always lead you in the right direction. As far as drinks goes, the food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. This is a must try!

Absolutely the Best Bar in Downtown Mobile! We recently hosted a party here, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The service was top-notch, and communication with the management team was seamless and professional. The atmosphere is always vibrant and welcoming, and we consistently receive excellent service and enjoy fantastic drinks & food every time we visit. We rented the upstairs space for a private event, and Stephanie and Alex went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Highly recommend for a night out or your next special occasion!

This is a nice little joint with an old world pub style setup. Basically you go to the bar and grab your drinks and you go to the kitchen to grab your food. If your tired the save it for a day you have more energy but aside from that it has great food and great beers... I had the fish and chips and it was made with cod rather then some other random fish. lightly breaded and a good portion. The chips EI French fries were pretty good slightly crispy and most importantly the food was not oily or soggy. cheers,

Unfortunately this place was a big fail: 1.Order at counter for food but with fine dining prices. 2. Duck was cold and small, $27 no sides at all just a sliver of duck. 3. My coworker didn't finish his dish and chips, was just meh. 4. Has to order drinks at bar, self serve water 5. Had to go back to counter to pick up cold food. 6. Positives, vibe is sort of cool. 7. This space is easily fixable could be very cool, needs wait staff, food needs refinement, take down the hardy cheap gold holiday dollar store curtains in front. 8. Cocktails are decent, unique

High energy bar, with great customer service. It's gives a try bar feel and look. Booth and bar seating. We sat at the bar and we had Zack and Dalton both very nice and attentive. FYI... at the bar, they need a card to hold. We had fish and tots, fried shrimp, and a large Ceasar salad. Everything was cool. I had a pineapple mule...it was good, maybe a drop less pineapple juice and a splash more ginger beer.

This is an interesting cocktail bar and it has a great atmosphere inside. They have very nice cocktails and a decent beer selection, but they definitely seemed understaffed when we visited back in May as tables were not cleaned and they had a difficulty time keeping up with the crowd (and it was why we didn't end up getting any food). They definitely need more staff, but it's still a nice place to grab a drink.

Fantastic food, drinks in a fun atmosphere. No table service. Order at the bar and kitchen. I love this place!

WOW. This place absolutely floored me. I came in for fish & chips, and as I saw a steak coming out of the kitchen I quickly swapped my order to the NY Strip. This was hands down the best steak I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. I paired it with their "Jerk Store" cocktail. It was just perfect. I will drive from home (3 hours west) just to get this again.

Date night with my ole lady. We were long overdue. Great conversation. Even allowed the two girls to hit on my wife in front of me. LoL They sat at the table next to me and bought us some drinks just so they could talk to her. Crazy cool couple. Drinks were pretty good. Not exactly what I was expecting but also not a bad drink. Food, service, cocktails, and atmosphere are hands down 10/10! I love this place and love to try whatever their specialty drink is! You can't go wrong with anything on their cocktail or dinner menu! Try it all!

Our favorite bar in the whole world. Nick is our favorite bartender. He'll make you anything you want, on or off menu. It's worth it to order from the menu. Their cocktails are SO creative and really outstanding. Menu changes seasonally but a lot of times they'll make you an old recipe if they have the ingredients. Jerk Store, Rose Nylund, Transatlantic, and Fat Boi are some of our favorites. There's a good window, too, and they have killer fries!

Incredible drinks, staff was fantastic, and left me thinking about that "Midnight Connection" ever since we left the bar.

What a spot.. Super impressed. Staying nearby at the battle and needed a late night drink and bite. Marshall behind the bar recommended a drink or two, the lady and I were happy. If you're looking to be talked down to by people who know less than you, this is your place to go. They don't serve you, and rope the place off like you've never been in public. If that hasn't sold you yet, try out their new take on sushi. Battered and raw, all in one. This place is why Applebee's and TGI Friday's are in business.

Popped in for a quick bite after a long day. The set up is a bit odd. You go to the kitchen window and place your order and pay for your food. Then you go to the bar and place your drink order and pay. We then sat. I had a blueberry martini that was yummy. However, my hot chicken sandwich was another story. The sandwich was too spicy to enjoy (I like spicy food but this was uncomfortably spicy). There was WAY too much sauce happening. The bread was soggy and falling apart because of all the sauce. My dinner companion had the same and had identical thoughts about the sandwich. It was ok but I don't have to eat here again.

A unique and fun restaurant/bar. They don't offer any table service for food or drinks. If you want a drink you go to the bar and get it, if you want food you go to the food counter to order and they text you when your food is ready. Food is very good, love the fresh cut fries and also the avocado fries. Bar is mostly craft cocktails and beer. Bartenders are amazing especially Marshall. If you're in Mobile I would say this is a must try.

While the Mobile, Alabama I decided to try this uniquebar and grill. The bar has a huge selection of whiskeys. I had an old-fashioned with Buffalo trace. The bartender mixed it perfectly and was very friendly. This place was crowded but manageable. They don't have any servers so you have to order your food, pay and wait for them to text you. Same thing with the drinks. The environment was a little loud, but understandable since it was about 5 PM. So I'm sure it was the meeting place for everybody after work. I had the beer battered chicken tenders, which were spot on. I would recommend this place as a good place to go And unwind with your friends to drink, eat and laugh.

Staff is rude and food is just ok. I've ordered togo several times. Counter staff at the kitchen where you pick up your food seems to have better things to do. Every time I've gone in to pay they have been so bothered by me being there. Twice now I've called and they don't answer the phone. The last time I actually managed to get an order the fried food was burnt. I'm here in downtown mobile in a hotel for work and try to mix it up (the only reason I still ordered from this place). Won't order again. Owner needs to get control.

The food was pretty good, tenders really crispy, lots of sauce on the fries. It was poppin on a Friday night, tough to get a table. Hopefully you get a booth, we had to sit at a high top which was odd and in the middle of the line for the bar. The bar itself was quite the display. Great location right down town could walk from our hotel and next to the park for an after dinner walk. Drink selection was great. Pretty fancy drinks!

The Haberdasher is such a neat place, y'all. One of the things I love the most about coming here is my ability to order an Old Fashioned drink several different ways from their extensive bar menu. My favorite one is the Island, made with rum, and it's so delicious. Their food is pretty dang good too! I ordered the Japanese chicken and fried avocado to eat. What's funny to me is the flavor of avocado when fried: it tastes like Fruit Loops cereal. Don't believe me? Give it a shot! It's very subtle but still oh-so deliciously good! They were SLAMMED this past weekend due to Christmas parties going on; so many folks wanted to gather here, whether it was before, during, or after a party. They do tend to stay pretty busy, but it took me two visits before I was able to find a seat to enjoy a drink and food. Come try them out!

Went in tonight to order food to go. I had a beer when I walked in. I ordered my food and then sat at the bar to order a tequila shot. The bartender said she was going to take my beer, I said I'll go outside to wait for my food. When my food was ready I came back inside and the bartender was super abrasive. She was rude and bordered on being a bully. I threw the beer away, picked up my food and left. I wouldn't recommend this place as long as this bully is serving from behind the bar.

Interesting that it is like a food truck inside a bar, but either way the drinks and good (and strong) and the food is great! People were super nice too!

Tommy's Margarita is the best!!!!! . Parmesan fries are also amazing Love this place! Bartenders are top notch!

Can't go wrong with the drinks and the food is always delicious, it can be hard to get a seat on a busy evening...but I get it.

This bar was full of people! They had a decent happy hour drink menu. Everyone was double fisted. You seat yourself and go order your food from a walk up kitchen area in the back and then do the same at the bar. When crowded it can seem like a lot. Luckily the couple seated next to us gave us the run down, after we had been seated for quite some time. The staff would walk by, speak and clean the dishes that people would place in a bin on the side by the napkins. The food was ok, fried fish and cauliflower and they offer a like spiced ketchup.

Was recommend this bar by another. Came in on a Wed after 10pm. Stood at the bar for several minutes with no service so I left. Came back the next day. Ordered a ctr-alt-delete. Drink was great. Ordered a burger and avocado fries and they were quick and good. No issues on the second night. Great old school bar and nostalgic feel.

Wonderful cocktails is very unique. The atmosphere is very cozy and you can also get food here we did not eat but we had some wonderful cocktails. I suggest getting anything that is on their menu. That is a specialty drink. Very yummy.

Eh.... Chicken tenders were over fried and completely tasteless. Green beans were undercooked. Fries were ok. Avocado fries were NOT put on my order despite ordering them and discussing how they were supposed to be good with the under-attentive button tapper. I guess go there if you want a cleverly named drink (not sampled -maybe they're nice?). Food is not the draw. The only reason I didn't give it one star was the atmosphere was nice and the drinks have clever names.

Do not go to this place. Very disappointed by the service and atmosphere. Mean and incapable bartenders and unfriendly clientele. Won't be back ever again.

Smash burger hit the spot. Atmosphere is laid back. I was there with the "after work" locals. Almost standing room only but there were several booths and ta Lea available. They do not have a service staff, you you will have to order your food at the kitchen and drinks at the bar.

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for cocktails as classy as it's atmosphere then go no further. A friendly staff serves up an extensive list of both beer and liquor, a true unicorn in a world where most establishments specialize in one or the other. For anyone that knows me, I love a bar with a good whiskey list. The Haberdasher fit that bill in my research but in-person it more than impressed. The decor and environment fit my idea of what I would expect from a place called The Haberdasher: leather backed booths and chairs, repurposed barrels as high tops, an ornate arrangement of bottles behind the bar. However I give it points for the little details like hooks for your coat/purse and lit power outlets for charging. Service right now is self-serve: you order at the bar for drinks and you go to the kitchen counter to order food. The service (especially Nick) is friendly and knowledgeable. The "bar snacks" are solid: the Brussel Sprouts were tasty with a nice savory profile (did I taste a little truffle and garlic?) while the Smashburger was good but it felt a tad salty (not sure where it came from but it stuck out to me.) I was impressed with the whiskey list, which featured rare bottles as well as their own barrel of Russel's Reserve (their staff flies up there to pick the barrel themselves.) I am not a beer guy but there is a large TV used not for sports- but for displaying their draft choices- many of them local (if you stare at the screen long enough it flashes a "Drink Alabama Beer!" message. Overall this was the perfect place to kick off a night out in Mobile. I could only wish I had more time (and money) to try more of the whiskey list.

Lovely little cocktail bar. I am not really certain that they are taking COVID precautions seriously or if it's just the customers were abundant and social distancing was near possible. You can sit outside but have to order food inside so that's another concern. Otherwise, this place would have 5 stars! The cocktail craft is amazing. The servers are so kind and sweet. The ambiance inside and outside is so quant and the soft lighting and mix of seating is fun - of course we sat outside due to COVID but would def love to come back after. They structure their menu with their spirits and have great local brews and descriptions. The craft cocktails are clever with ingredients and names, fairly priced and sized. For Whiskey drinkers, there are lots to choose from which I love. I can't find the name of my drink on the menu anymore but it was a take on a whiskey sour with pineapple and some other fun bitters/liquors. It was aooo good! I believe the name mentioned highlands in it. We didn't try any food because we only came for drinks but the food menu looked awesome.

The cocktails here are second to none. The food is excellent as well. This joint is a must if you're downtown.

I was there with my son, daughter-in-law and two friends last night spent $75. I love this bar but unfortunately I no longer will be coming to this bar. I was asked to leave because I had an old ready Trump hat on and respectfully walked out of the bar. Without an issue then the bartender came out onto the street and told me that there was a political dress code. Mind you I had gone in and out of the bar several times to have a cigarette out on the street the doorman didn't seem to notice. The bartender told me since we won the election it was people like us that made their patrons uncomfortable. I was there for an hour and a half and I have been there many times before with my head on without an issue you people need to post some thing on your door that says no political clothing allowed, don't tell me after I spent $75 and then come and attack verbally my wife and I when we did absolutely nothing wrong. Woke is dying fellas you need to get with the times so if you need a safe place, go there because they will cater to your needs.It really sucks because I enjoyed the place in the past so guys if you're reading this why did you let me stay for an hour and a half and then throw me out with after we had a 75 dollar bill. My hat must have made someone cry.

This is what the bartender surprised me with!!! It is a nice blend between sweet and tart!!!! Visually beautiful but taste just as good, really happy with the service and overall atmosphere!

They started with Sunday hours and I don't need pictures for this. I've said it once and I'll say it again....yes. Ughhhhhh the ny strip is soooo tender and melt in your mouth delicious. Yes, they have LOVELY cocktails. The point of the matter is that the food is what your dad "the grill master" would be proud of. I want a cigarette (I'm not a smoker) and I feel better about their steaks than I do about my own job's steaks. We came it at the perfect time because we didn't have to fight for a table. And my husband said it's the best pork chop he's had ever.

The place looked amazing in the inside, Doesn't have traditional waiters , you walk up to the back to order and find a seat , the drinks are so good! The decor is amazing !

This is a really good cocktail bar. I came here for my birthday. The drinks were great. The cocktails are pricy, but I splurged, had three, plus two or three craft beers. My husband had Jagermeister plus Budweiser chasers. It was a splurge, it was my birthday. We ran up a $90 bar tab but I did not care. The bartenders are talented. They recommended the food there, told me it was great, I wish I would of eaten there instead of O'Charley's before I went to The Haberdasher. Maybe next time.

By far a favorite when visiting Mobile! Great location within walking distance from most good hotels. Iron Mountain is unbeatable as the best Dirty Martini on Earth! A close second is the watermelon/Tajin cocktail!

Delicious drinks! They offer a wide variety of specialty cocktails and you can also order what you like. This was hands down the best Espresso martini I have had!

This is it. This is the best cocktail bar in America. There's no better way to describe the drinks as "art". High quality liqueurs and garnishes, vast array of flavors and types (want something fruity? Sour? Bold? They've got indications for each following the ingredients you may never have heard of before on the menu!), presentations that you have GOT to post on Instagram, and the bartenders' skill and swiftness with putting all the pieces together leaving you so starry eyed at the bar you forget to take your drink when he hands it to you. There's a cocktail for everyone here- my favorite was the Jerk Store (because I like gin, and it was a refreshing "sipping" drink that became a "slurping" drink it was so dang tasty) and my second favorite was the smokey Two Person job with mezcal and a sweet, crispy pineapple as a garnish. Not only are the cocktails extravagant, but the atmosphere is elegant, music is on point (Arctic monkeys followed by Kayne- appeals to all crowds), and the food is scrumptious. The small fries are reasonably priced at ~5$, and comes with a hearty, mustardy sauce that reminds me of childhood. I'm almost tempted to go back and ask for the recipe. Will be back to try out the Jessica Rabbit, next on my list!
