The Habit Burger Grill

I was delightfully supprised, to say the least. I went in expecting a less than good microwaved burger (low faith my part sorry), but holy smokes I was wrong. It was so refreshing. It's not like it was a crazy weird or unique burger, but it was a good 'ol fashioned grilled burger. The onions rings are to die for, I probably cried when I ate them (of joy). There are other butger joints that do it okay, but the Habit just seems to get it. Extremely friendly staff, quick service, easy parking, fun and exciting air about the place. Tastey burgers, perfect onion rings, happiness in my soul 10/10 would recommend, I will be coming back to partake

I’ve been to The Habit Burger Grill many times — it’s one of our favorite spots for family lunches and dinners. The food is always delicious! The burgers are juicy, the meat is perfectly cooked, the buns are fresh, and the fries are just amazing. The place has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and smiling. I especially like that the food comes out quickly, even when it’s busy. My family and I always leave full and happy. Definitely recommend!

Polite service workers as soon as you walk in the door they greet you with a hello. Workers check on you to see if you need anything while dining in. They will even come o your table and remove your trash. It is a very, very clean establishment. The condiments were well stocked. And the burger was DELICIOUS!! I had never had it before, and I had a Portobello Mushroom burger with everything. Yummy! The onion I would definitely return to this particular Habit Burger spot. They really know how to treat their customers.

Today, I accidentally placed my online order to a different location. Maria was so helpful and helped me get my order here. Very rarely now in fast food we see quality service like this. Very nice, presentable and respectful and good food and help. Nice to have a habit around.

Just had an amazing experience at The Habit! Emely Reyes, the cashier, was super friendly and made my order easy. The burger was delicious and cooked just right, and the fries were crispy and tasty too! Highly recommend this place for a great meal

The food was excellent. I ordered the Ahi Tuna sandwich with spicy green beans. The cook perfectly cooked the Ahi tuna, and the green beans were delicious. The restroom was clean. The service was slow at first, and they did not acknowledge us until we spoke up, and then they made us wait to be served. All that being said, the food was what I came for, and it was so good I would come back to this Habit again.

I always have problems with this location. They always forget an item that i ordered. They charge me all this money and I never get the food i asked. They get all the other components of my order but never the one sandwich I actually get to consume. Worst service. If you can’t hear me then ask me again but don’t just ignore that i asked for something specific and not input it into my order. Do better.

According to a recent poll by USA Today... The Habit Burger & Grill was voted #1 Burger! Que Nelly's hit song: "I.. am.. number one... ...2 is not a winner and three nobody remembers (hey)... What does it take to be #1? Hey hey hey hey.." (Damn that song is catchy!) And let me tell you, The Habit wasted no time once they were officially crowned the number one spot as their marketing team went right to work and publicly threw a little shade at In-N-Out who just happened to be #2 on the list of top 10 burgers. Most notably, billboards were put up in which the Habit congratulated them on earning 2nd place... Of course, this was done all in good fun! And unlike the Drama between Drake & Kendrick... This is a "Beef" that I can actually relate to. ---------------------------- Earlier this month, I had some business to attend to in Mission Hills, but first I needed to grab lunch. So after looking at my nearby options, I decided the Habit was the winner. Known for their open flame char burger, this is definitely a burger thats worthy of all of the attention it's getting. And after this visit, I can assure you that this burger deserves all the love it can get even if I am a bigger fan of 2nd place. Let's talk about the char burger!! From start to finish... this burger was so hot and so delicious, I literally couldn't shovel it in my mouth fast enough. And in my humble opinion... The grilled onions are what make this burger so special. Usually when I come to the Habit (the Thousand Oaks location), I will usually get fries or onion rings as my side, but on this day I decided to get a side salad and man did I make the right choice. Side note: The Italian dressing was fire!!! The salad really hit the spot and truly complimented my char burger for a fraction of the calories. This location is definitely well kept, clean and the staff were super friendly. I enjoyed my meal so much, I made sure I thanked the staff on my way out to show my appreciation. To the Habit Burger & Grill... Well deserved on your #1 spot!

Food was ok! I did not like that my order was not given to me completely! Had to wait on my sweet potato fries! Second I put no pickles on my order and guess what it had pickles! They charge for ranch? Are you kidding me! And I understand it's busy on a Friday night! But took a while to get my order and it was incomplete and wrong!!! Smh

The shopping center is extremely busy. I placed an order through the app, but they never informed me that I needed to park in a designated curbside pickup parking spot. I missed it and that is on me. However, what is not on me is how long it took to get the order to me and how the order arrived. I ordered two burgers and 1 order of fries. They did not wrap the burgers properly which led to the bottom of the bag getting soggy. Naturally, that led to the bag ripping and leaking all over the cloth front seat of my car. On top of it all, the food was cold by the time it arrived. Not only am I out $23, but I need to get a car wash to get the burger juices out of my clothe seats. I would give this a 0 if I could. Bunch of donkeys. Overall, it was a really terrible experience.

This burger place has been here for years and it's literally down the street. it is in a busy plaza along with other food joints and stores. When we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff. you can either order yourself on a machine or go to the cashier. the food was fresh out the grill (hot) just perfect. it does get busy and a little loud. overall great experience

Ordered a Santa Barbara salad and they forgot to add chicken. Then I went back and asked for the bacon that was missing too. The girls were rude and looked at me as if it were my fault. My salad was not the same. I wish I would have just asked for a refund. I will not be going to that Habit again. The Habit in Winnetka, Porter Ranch and Northridge are so much better.

Had the half chicken sandwich special with green beans and a drink. It was a great value and the food and service was great.

The service was bland. The ambience was dull. But worst of all the food was gross. I had the Portabella hamburger: the meat was raw and greasy and sloppy looking. I feel nauseated. If I could, I would beat the hell out of myself for coming here. If I knew how to fight I would ask for the return of my tip.

I really like this location everything is fresh and good customer service. They have nice big patio I recommend it for families.

Had not been to the Habit in about 3 months and prices got ridiculously expensive!! The quality of the food is not what it used to be and the staff were rude. I asked for a ranch dressing and they charged me 60 cents. No need to come back

My go to location, we usually order for pick up and it's ready fast & they always get the order right. Kind of hate their parking situation because it's compact & hard to find parking close to the restaurant. I don't really like their burgers tbh I always order their chicken sandwich on sourdough bread w/ no sauce and raw onions. For sides I get 1/2 onion rings & fries. I honestly love that their fries are not overly cooked and too crispy & the breading they use on their onion rings is perfect. These are some of my favorite onion rings. It's usually super busy & loud inside so I do prefer to take out and eat at home but overall this location never disappoints

Quality has gone down so much since they were bought by Yum! Brands. My family loved visiting this restaurant on a regular basis. Now, we rarely eat there. The prices continue to go up, they changed their cups to use way more plastic than they used to, they charge extra for all dips/sauces, and the salads are much smaller. In addition, they made changes to the menu that we are not happy with. Their Cobb salad used to be one of our favorites. The new version of the Cobb salad is more expensive, much smaller, and definitely misnamed because the ingredients are not what a traditional Cobb salad is supposed to be.

Food was fine, just little salty to me but the taste was good. Service was fast. Ambience is okay nothing special.

I wanted a nice snack after vball (which we lost) and chose the Habit as my meal. When I got there, I was immediately treated by Ary, whose customer service was unmatched. He was very patient with me, which is amazing considering I switched my order a lot. Ary, if you're reading this, you're amazing

Just great food and service! I love how the staff interact with one another and constumers.

You cannot go wrong coming to this Habit Burger location. It's in a plaza with many parking spots so you won't have any issues and there a lot of seating inside or outside to eat there. I placed my mobile order to be pick up at 10am because there was an offer from the Habit app. I notice that they updated their app to where you can't ask for extra toppings like tomato which they let you before. I arrived early to the place so I had to wait like 10 minutes since they had to let the fries oil to warm up. The employees were nice, I was greeted when I walked in and she asked if I wanted a cup for water while I wait. The place is nicely cleaned and organized. I usually get my burger lettuce wrapped but this time I got the regular double char burger. The burger was delicious and the fries were amazing too.

I stopped at his Habit location once. Its in a nice looking shopping strip mall near Haskell and Sepulveda. I ordered some food as in the Santa Barbara burger and fries meal i like, And i stood and waited 20 minutes for my food. Service is good here. Food is decent, what more could i ask?

The habit is not what it used to be by any stretch of the imagination. To make things worse, they charge more than ever. They are now charging .66 cents for ranch. I just spent $25 on a burger, fries and Caesar salad (you also go cheap on by not mixing the dressing in and shorting people in the sides) and want to charge me .66 cents for an oz of ranch???

Can never get an order right. Ordered no mayo and they still put mayo. Plus the bafoonery of ¢60 per sauce. Clownery

We had a great experience going to this habit in particular. The employees were friendly and the food was great as well. The tables were also clean which is rare to see at restaurants now a days. We wanted to shout out the employee who was at register on 10/22/24. I think his name was Alberto. He was energetic, friendly and wished us a great day.

Been coming here for many years, this place has good ranch but clearly they don't give enough ranch where customers need to ask for more.... I asked for more today and a new employee Katrina said to me there's a charge for extra ranch. The watered down ranch is good but it's not great to pay for

I have my burger loyalties and my husband does as well, so we have only been to The Habit three times even though it's close enough to walk to. We ventured in for lunch over the weekend and it was really good. It was the other times as well. I bet we'd go more if they had a drive thru... 5/5 - Salted Caramel Milkshake: I mean, come on. Obviously it's delicious. 4/5 - Double Char w/ Cheese: I really liked it! I think it's the caramelized onions on it that make it taste so yummy. 4/5 - Portabella Char: Chargrilled beef patty, portabella mushrooms, caramelized onions, melted white American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and roasted garlic aioli on a toasted bun. Nice flavor. Great mushrooms. 4/5 - Pretzel Pub Char: artisan knotted pretzel bun with brew pub mustard, topped with melted cheese and caramelized onions. If you like pretzel buns, then you will probably really enjoy this. Pretzel buns aren't MY favorite, but all of the ingredients were fantastic. 4/5 - Chocolate Shake: Good stuff 3/5 - Fries: They were fine. Nothing special 2/5 - Onion Rings: Meh. At least they give a lot of Ranch dressing.

One star review due to terrible service with uber eats app every single time. What's worse is that they don't have a phone number to call to speak to anyone which would help prevent issues.

Supposed to be a grilled chicken sandwich from this place it's the third time still getting it wrong. I don't understand what's so hard about ordering one sandwich. They're not very smart disappointed food before you leave. When back a second time in 1/2 hour they still got it wrong what are they smoking over there. Most definitely will not return.

I always come to this shopping center to run some errands and always ended up eating here,what I love the most is the lettuce wrap you can not go wrong with that ! This place is always clean restrooms spotless no sure why this place doesn't get 5 stars

We had Late lunch there yesterday and we were all disappointed with the burgers and the customer service, the girl at the register was rude none of the employees seem happy working in there, the burgers did not have the traditional The Habit Flavor , they tested very plane just like if it only had lettuce and bread and nothing else.

The only reason people go here is they're is just not much around, today my wife wanted a meal here but I don't eat here anymore because it's sooo bad, she went to target as I got her food and when I got into my car you can smell the old oil, when my wife got into the car she said what's that smell? We didn't take it back because we work 12 hr days and up 3:30 in the morning so little time to eat, well with this said you think they would treat the food as edible because you know that the people cooking it and the manager bagging it knew the oil was bad but they could care less as long as they get their paycheck, what a horrible way to run a restaurant they really need better management because this is unacceptable. I own a house right across the street and it stinks that the food is so horrible here because I love burgers but not here holiday burger runs circles around them. My last message they said they will send a DM there, I can see it wasn't bad enough they sent a DM there to make it worse.

Back again. The app is so easy to use to get your order started while shopping at the adjacent stores! I noticed the pepper bar is back open! Stop in when you're craving a delicious burger.

Again...Fail.. they don't listen nor read the online directions. Burgers has become increasingly flavorless as they are not seasoning them as they used to. We are turning into the old fashion turn and burn Kylie disappointing. You cannot call to work and report as they have the numbers blocked and they send you to corporate. And then they just want to redirect you to make the "" complaint online. Once again, I am now working for them. We lose, and they won once again. Fries, taste, old and soggy as they are not fresh out of the fryer either. Shame on these companies for setting a standard hi and letting it completely decrease as they raise the prices. Boooo

50c charge for sauces like ranch. I go to this place many times in the past. But now it will be eliminated from my list.

I have always had really great experiences at this Habit location. The food is always fresh and well-made, the wait times are never long, and the staff is extremely welcoming and open to help with whatever you may need. I had the pleasure of being helped by Christina the other day, and her excellent service really shows why Habit is one of my favorite options to be able to go eat and enjoy the peaceful vibes at the same time. Definitely worthwhile to both dine-in and take out!

After a long day at work, in no mood to cook, The Habit seemed like the perfect choice. It was!! I was immediately greeted by this lovely young lady, Emily. She was so quick on the register and read off the ingredients of the items I ordered to make sure that I knew what was on each burger. I was very much impressed by this. I did notice she did this with all orders taken. Love it! She offered sides, she did this so smoothly it did not sound like an upsell. Great customer service! My order was incorrect, but that was the cooks fault since my receipt matched my order that Emily took. I will be back, but will check my food before I leave the restaurant.

There are lots of little kids running around. they lost my order and I sat around waiting for 30 minutes before I asked; the other habits usually compensate for mistakes, the food still tasted good though.

Ummm...found hairs in our soft serve cone. Ugh.... And after we've eaten our meal... I'm a little queasy thinking about whether or not there was hair in our burgers. They should really check their machines for cleanness and wear hair nets. I'm have to remember to not eat there again. Manager Julissa gave a refund and said sorry without any sympathy.... Makes me think it's happened before. She showed two others the icecream and said in spanish "it has hair" but they said nothing in reply. Don't think anyone intended on checking or replacing the soft serve in the machine. Two thumbs down.

I'm not sure about other people but this is my go to place and my needs are always met. I went in with a certain period craving, and Anthony made it possible. I also appreciate the cleanliness of this location, and they always get the food right. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If you ask me they should be getting paid more for their efforts

Love the mac salad here ! The food is always so bomb and the way the cashiers treat you when you walk in is so nice !! The ambiance in this place is so calm and relaxing and the chairs and tables are to hawaii like which is so dope! I really love this place and will be coming back often

We always have great fresh food and service!! I came in and the cashier was immediately friendly and excited to help! I asked how big the garden salad was and he went a grabbed the bowl and showed me! I asked for the garden salad with chicken and he informed me that there is a grilled chicken salad and it has more on it. He also listed all the dressings for me and was patient when I was indecisive! Another employee was filling up to go drinks and I was waiting to grab a lid and straw and he immediately helped me with things! The manager was amazingly friendly as well! He came by and checked on every single table personally and was excited when we told him how friendly the staff was. Clean and chill ambiance tonight! Full tables almost all the time and people coming in and out for orders!

I've been to this location several times and usually the food tastes good, however, today my burger Pattie's were completely covered in black pepper. They tasted gross. I don't know how the food is inconsistent and this chain. I've never experienced an overly salted or peppered burger from any other chain restaurants.

Breaking this Habit. This used to be the best habit in the valley but I won't be back after today. The problem is simple, if I order a special order then please give me what I want. Firstly. Avocado. If I order and paid the additional up charge for a smear of it. Put it n the burger. This place consistently forgets this on my burger which I find out when I get home. Thanks a bunch for ripping me off Secondly. When someone orders no salt on their fries there is usually a reason. It may be medical. So do not put salt on their fries. The habit used to have a manager they watched the food going out the door to ensure it was correct. Maybe they eliminated that position or maybe this location needs to retrain or replace that staff... I don't know. But after consistently messing up the last few orders I will not be back to this habit

Awesome BBQ bacon burger. Best fast food. Service people could be better but what can I say about young people that have no life experience. I like eat outside, less noise and good music.

Great burgers and fries. One gripe ....why is this place so bent on cleaning the floor every few minutes, especially around patrons trying to eat? First the sweeping then wet mop, really? When confronted, the employee just moved to another area and continued to mop and placed wet floor signs everywhere creating unneccessary risk to patrons entering & exiting the establishment. Good luck !
