The Habit Burger Grill

My mom and I were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't expensive and was something up our alley. I may be breaking burger code, but The Habit Burger Grill is far above Five Guys and any other fast food burger places. I've had Culver's, In-And-Out, as well as the usuals like McDonald's, etc. This place blows them all away. We were greeted upon entering, and the man was so nice and personable. We felt truly welcome. The prices are cheaper than Five Guys and even McDonald's, for some menu items. The establishment was nearly spotless, which you don't often see at fast food restaurants. There is plenty of seating, 3 computers to self-order, and 2 registers to order from a person. You can order on their app and they have it waiting for you on a rack. It was nice having drink options other than fountain soda. Different iced teas, as well as hibiscus and strawberry lemonades. Everyone we spoke to was super nice and helpful. You don't get that many places anymore. I wish we lived closer, because we definitely would make this a habit, as the name suggests. We need a location in Annapolis! But we will definitely be back.

A nice place for a char broiled burger. The portobello add-on was great. Lettuce and tomato were fresh. Cheese options are constrained to American and White American... Nothing gourmet, thin patties...they get the burger job done and are tasty.

I was greeted by the manager, who was very nice. I ordered the double char with cheese and all toppings, also an order of fries. The total was around $10.35, in which each item is separately priced. I waited for around 5-10 minutes. I was shocked at how good the burger was! Juicy beef patty’s and loaded with toppings! I will definitely be back.

The food was fantastic. The service was amazing. I have been coming here multiple times after the first time. Definitely now one of my favorite burger places in the area! 100% recommend. Pricing is pretty reasonable as well.

Great fried chicken sandwich Basic but good hit or miss somedays depending on the cut of chicken i guess Burgers are good they can be a lil heavy on the seasoning sometimes but you may ask for none i do to make sure i taste the patty and the whole experience more than just the seasonings the burgers are good as they are! Their fries and limeade are the reason i come and stay i love the customer service the lady mangers are always a pleasure and a welcome you with good greetings and service great spot especially if you looking for fast service also amazing salads for healthy options i got one recently and was very pleased and impressed of the taste quality and presentation 5 stars for the salad!

Ordered for curbside pickup. It was easy to order online. We ordered a family bundle with 10 piece chicken tenders, or bites. All delicious! The chicken bites might be under rated. A lot of meat on em. Service was excellent too!

The staff is nice. The griled chicken sandwich is good. I like the teriyaki sauce. It's sweet but not too much. Fast service here.

The Habit is always a solid choice! Their mushroom charburger is my favorite, and oh yes please, have it accompanied with their fantastic sweet potato fries! Their veggie burgers are really great too!

Came here for the first time and ordered takeaway on a weekend. Hubby and I ordered their Char BBQ burger, their Cobb salad and Parmesan garlic fries. Total came out to approximately $26. What's hot - Quality. Pretty good. My husband and I particularly liked the dipping sauce that came with the Parmesan fries. My salad was good, especially because of the variety mix-ins, which included avocado, eggs, grilled chicken, and bacon. Everything tasted like it was made recently. - Menu. There appears to be something for everyone, possibly even vegans. I saw a veggie burger on their menu. They don't appear to offer vegan cheese, though. - Price. Pretty good, especially since you can get food for one person under $20. - Portions. Enough to get you full. - Service. You're not unnecessarily waiting. Pretty timely. - Location. Pretty convenient. It's in a plaza with other restaurants, Whole Foods, and shops. There are booths inside and outside tables, which is nice when there is good weather. What's not - Quality. Not bad, but we've had better. Final answer Not bad and will probably come back, but maybe not a first choice.

I had no idea this chain existed, and if I'm being completely honest, I had no idea that the place this sits in was an entertainment/shopping district. I drive past here often and see that Whole Foods is nearby and try to steer clear. I will be honest, I did a complete once around here to scope out food places before settling on this. Much inline with the likes of Shake Shack and Burger Fi, this is a place where they try to play up nostalgia. Burgers cooked to eat right after you place your order. Being my first time here I looked over the menu for a minute to orient myself to their take on the burgers. Finally confident in what I wanted to order I made my way to the counter. Placed my order, gave them my number (so they can text when your food is ready), filled my drink, and found a place to sit. This location has indoor and outdoor seating. I scoped out the place for a hot minute to see where would be best to eat. I did this because a lot of the tables looked as if they hadn't been cleaned off for a while. I ended up in a booth by the front windows, I had to wipe it down, but settled in until my food was ready. I ordered the Double Char and fries. Your basic double cheeseburger. Was it fresh? Yes. Was it worth the price? Probably not. The fries were lackluster. They appeared to be fresh cut, but a bit limp. I will say that their fries are better than Shake Shack's. The lack of motivation here is a bit of a put off. From the lackluster customer service at the counter for ordering to the lack of cleaning the place for customer use. It kind of felt like a dirty cafeteria.

I got the double cheeseburger and it was the best. You have to try it out. Customer service was great and helpful with your selection. Before you leave, you have to get one of their milkshakes.

For fast food hamburgers, the habit outshines the big three national chains by far. The burgers are flame grill, which always gives a good taste. And the condiments on the burger sucthe lettuce and tomato look nice and fresh. Not like they've been sitting around for a few weeks like from the big three chains, one of the reasons I also like coming are the onion rings are always delicious and they give you a nice container of ranch dressing to dip them in. And whenever I bring kids, they always enjoy the chicken nuggets and the french fries. The french fries are nice and thick and always cook to order, the worst thing in the world is when you get warm or cold french fries that will never happen here. Once you place your order they give you a pager because they cook everything to order.

Went to Habit while l was working in Flagstaff Az Was not floored then but now they have restaurants here l wanted to give it another shot: They have something for anyone here, if burgers are not your thing. The wifey when for the spicy chicken sandwich. I went for the main event, the Char-burger with cheese! A good burger to me is one of life's small pleasures. If it falls short it screws up my whole day. I don't expect a backyard burger to taste like a restaurant quality one, but l do expect a restaurant burger to be better than a backyard burger. While Habit's are better than a backyard burger, it's not better than any of its competitors. It's not juicy, and lacks for lack of a better word personality. It's not bad, the problem is it's not better. Everything else about the place is good they even have fresh peppers out that you can pile on and a great variety of soft drinks, plus Milkshakes! Go try them out you may like or even love it. For me l will walk across the street to the restaurant next door and spend 2x as much for a real burger

I came back to Habit Burger Grill after a 3-star experience, and I'm delighted to report that this visit left a much more positive impression. Following my initial review, Habit Burger Grill reached out and provided vouchers to encourage a return visit, showing they are committed to customer satisfaction. This time, I ordered the charburger with cheese, and it was cooked to perfection. The burger was not only perfectly seasoned but also incredibly flavorful. One of the highlights of this visit was trying their limited-time banana wafer shake. It was not just good; it was really good. I look forward to returning for more delicious meals in the future.

Location is great. Love both their inside and outdoor location. They have great servers like Sam with the tattoos. She is friendly and considerate and on top of things. I like that even for people like me who doesnt like fried food there are great options and lots of things on the menu are worth trying.

Dropped in for lunch a couple of months ago when i used to work in the area I probably ordered a cheeseburger along w/fries and a fountain drink, it reminded me of five guys taste wise meaning it was a solid burger all around.

I haven't been here yet and disliked it. The food is delicious and the place is always clean. They have added 3 electronic ordering machines since the last time I came. It makes everything faster if there's a line but there's also an app if you really want to avoid any wait. I'll definitely continue coming here when I'm around.

A solid burger. I struggled with a neat pic but then again, a greasy sloppy looking burger tells such a fulfilling story! My husband and I were trying to talk about the pros and cons of this burger, comparing it to Five Guys, Shake Shack, and Z Burger. All are clutch burgers but serve you in different ways. This burger has a fantastic bun. The toppings are cut and added on nicely. They could probably do better with a different cheese brand with a little more flavor and different bacon. I feel like I could barely taste the bacon. The burger itself was simple, seasoned, and cooked well. The burger was a great size for a great price. It's not like a neat steakhouse burger. It's what "fast food" (not that this is really fast food) burgers should be: kinda greasy and messy and able to hold with one hand with confidence knowing it won't fall apart. Definitely clutch. Another suggestion for them would be to add more topping options to spice things up. I wonder how their fries are.... Next time!

I get this burger every-time i come. Never disappoints, always fresh and flavorful. The service is fast, i've never waited longer than 10 mins for my food at this location. They do have a new self kiosk which i think is a waste of money for the restaurant. The lines are never too long and the staff members are always pleasant and helpful. Stop taking away human jobs.

There's nothing like an All-American burger and when I'm craving one, The Habit is my go-to. On my latest visit, I stopped in 30 mins before close on a Sunday evening. The young lady working the register was super sweet. I order a double char combo and swapped grilled onions for raw. She also let do the half onion ring/half fries inside and the usual fry order that comes with the combo. As I wait for my food to be prepared I was able to wait in the dining area that was very clean given the time of today. One of the reasons I also return is because the burgers and sides are consistent and they have fresh and interesting limeades. I haven't tied the salads or chicken sandwiches yet, but they're next on my list.

The ambience of this restaurant is simply fantastic . This restaurant strikes the perfect balance between chic and cozy.

I have been to the local Habits located in Glenn Dale twice. My first experience was okay as the burger it was too salty. The second time I requested minimal seasoning, however, the burger was still too salty. The toppings and bun were great, just wish they could cut down on the seasoning. Not sure If I will try them a third time...

The Imposible Burger was GREAT! I've only ordered my food for takeout, but the ambiance was cool. One day, when I have more time, I'll sit down and eat inside the restaurant one day.

I heard good things about this place and decided to give them a shot. The cashier (Spanish woman) was OUTSTANDING with helping me decide what to get. I've come back to say: the second time was a charm for me and the meat was cooked. I wanted to give them a fair shot since this industry has been hit hard! COVID19 isn't an issue here, everything in place, I felt safe, outdoor seating, and sanitation completed! But let's talk Burgers, this time is was a wonderful as other reviews. A burger spot right below a gym?! Perfect strategy : ) I ordered a charburger #1 (comes with fries and a drink) for less than 10 bucks! Great deal and great burger. I ordered mine without the caramelized onions (not a fan of onions in general). Added cheese to it as well. I can't imagine a burger without cheese!! Also requested jalapenos on mine because I like it hot! The fries aren't alot but that's ok - I had enough fries for the week. Located right across from Burton's and below the Gold's Gym (if you're familiar with this area). There's some parking nearby but I just go straight to the garage (next to District Taco). I found the store clean and customer service great! There's some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating but due to Covid-19, in a few days, this will no longer be an option. I hope that they stay open for take-out and delivery!!

Can you give below a 1 star? I requested a refund for my order placed on 12/12/23. The order was not completed correctly. One burger did not even contain a piece of meat. The other burger tasted completely like onions. It is now 1/3/23 and I have not received my refund. I cannot believe that a store cannot process a refund. This company should come up with a way to process refunds in store. I will never return to this store and I'll be sure to share this negative experience and advise others not to either. Obviously it's not about the $20 odd dollars but more the point of being able to satisfy the customers adequately. I appreciate the kindness of the staff but I didn't really feel they were understanding of my concern.

If you know me, you know I love a good cheeseburger. The Habit Burger did not disappoint. I've passed this place so many times on my Whole Foods runs and finally decided to give it a try. Took one quick pic of the BBQ Bacon Charburger (with cheese, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and mayo) before devouring it. The bbq sauce did what it needed to do, okay?! On the side-- half Sriracha Lime Spicy Green Beans, half french fries. The spicy aioli that was drizzled on top was so bomb, next time I'm getting that on the burger! I'm not even a green beans person really, but battered, fried, and with that sauce-- game change

We love it here. My girls and I usually come to the Habit for dinner after my workout. The grilled cheese sandwich is a favorite. I recently added the chicken pesto sandwich to my dinner options and it didn't disappoint.

I have always been satisfied with this location. My husband and I frequent this location regularly. Today the first burger I received tasted as a cooked burger reheated. The bun tasted like a stale heated bun. I complained to the cashier. The cashier brought to the manager's attention, and she responded with an attitude. They recooked my burger, but it was not cooked well and was messy. As I said, I eat there frequently; I know what I get.

We had a Double cheeseburger & a single cheeseburger (I would suggest a double, the single was not enough meat to bread ratio) with a order of fries. The Habit Burger Grill has a few things going for it. The price point is really good, fast food prices for very fresh and quality ingredients. They have a pickle bar. Self serve pickled jalapeños, banana peppers and slices of limes and lemons. The burgers reminded me of a better Burger King (because of the char flavor) and Dairy Queen. I loved how they buttered and toasted the bun, it made the edges buttery and crispy. The toppings are all so fresh and they are not shy about loading them on. The fries were ok, not great. Next time I will try the sweet potato fries, I've heard good things about them. My favorite burger & fries pick is usually 5guys....But I always feel not so healthy after a 5guys visit and it's quite expensive. Eating at Habit Burger was really enjoyable and We left feeling very good. We will be returning to eat here again, hopefully they have ice cream back in stock for shakes next time, fingers crossed!

Sometimes I forget why I don't like the Habit, and have re-tried this place several times with the encouragement of others. I've tried multiple burgers, and every time, there's just something that doesn't make it excellent. The buns are just a tad too soft for my taste, and the meat, or something in the burger is so so so salty, that it's really hard to eat. I was eating fries just to wash down how salty this burger was. I did enjoy that their mushrooms were good, but really, the cheese and sauce is so watery, it turns this burger into such a watery mess and starts falling apart. To no fault of this particular location, but this chain has so much potential. The staff here were excellent, but the sneeze guard made it impossible for the server to hear me order.

I've been craving a good burger and they delivered. Decent size, good toppings, and delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. The toppings that are included in the order complimented the burger well. And the sweet potato fries and tempura green beans were simple but crispy and tasty.

Had a great experience at the Habit Burger Grill. Ordered the char burger and fries combo. Each burger comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. I opted out of the mayo. The burger was delicious, but there was a tad too much lettuce. The fries were perfect. As I was eating them, I was thinking how they are perfectly balanced. Both "potatoey" fry people and crispy, less "potatoey" fry people would enjoy them. So good! Check out their special juices. I think they have the best strawberry limeade out there! But also enjoyed the blueberry citrus agua fresca! Service was good. Went around 3:00pm on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded and got our food fresh, hot, and quickly!

So I've been seeing The Habit every time I complete my grocery shopping at the Whole Foods across the street. I felt like a burger, so I decided it was time. I wanted to try the BBQ Bacon, and I probably should have. I got the regular burger combo with onion rings instead of fries. The burger was actually pretty good. But quite messy. A lot of the oil/mayo combo spilled everywhere. So I was kinda over the whole thing towards the end. But, it was good and they offered me ranch which is a plus for any burger. They also had a small bar with jalepenos, which I love. The onion rings were perfect, but I don't know who told them to sprinkle an extra packet of salt on them after they were fried. It made some rings so salty that I just couldn't eat them. The peach ginger and strawberry (limeade?) were so good. A little on the sweet side for me, so I filled the rest of the cup with water. Clean restaurant and still new. Can't say I'm dying to go back, though. Maybe to try a salad or the chicken sandwich, but not my favorite burger ever.

My wife and I swung by here last evening to grab dinner. We wanted burgers and we hadn't been to the newly opened The Habit Burger Grill yet, so we decided to try it out. When we walked in, we were about 10 percent confused on which side to walk up and order on (It's the left side of the big flower island). My wife decided on the original single char burger. The original seems to indicate that it comes with a beverage and a side. She opted for half onion rings and half fries. I got the Portabella char with half fried green beans and half sweet potato fries. I don't really like sweet potatoes, but my wife does, so I got them for her. We decided not to get drinks, but were given a pager while our food was being prepared. While we were waiting, I decided to take a peek at the condiments. One of those big ketchup pumps with the small paper cups was situated right over the countertop garbage hole. There was a sneeze guarded station with three items in it: jalapeño slices, banana peppers (labeled chili peppers) and pepperoncini. Nice. For hot sauces, they had tabasco and cholula which are both decent hot sauces and pretty standard. We brought our food home and it was all very good. The fried sides, which was all the sides, were still warm and crispy. My wife's burger was good. She added ketchup and mustard when we got home. My portobella burger with everything was excellent. The portobella filled the role of the second patty in what I would compare to a double burger. My favorite side was the fried green beans. Our counter service was great and polite, the order was accurate and the food was great.

Not bad for the price. Some good upgrades from the typical mid-cheap burger, in a nice setting, with outdoor seating and free parking available at this location. Lots of upgrades versus fast food: The thin patties are cooked fresh (not fast-food style), but to one doneness only. Adult toppings like avocado are available. Sourdough is a bread option.There's a hot pepper bar (only 3 kinds, but still) and a number of sauces/condiments. A very nice side option is fresh green beans fried up in tempura batter. Is this a Shake Shack burger? No, but the base burger is cheaper. Is it a Five Guys? No, but the burger is done faster (since it's thinner). It's not an Elevation Burger either, but it's half the price. I prefer the Habit to Smashburger, the meat tastes better. And those reviewers who want it to be In-and-Out? I can't understand your obsession except as nostalgia. Thousand Island doesn't belong on a burger, that's messy and gross. This is better. There's no compelling narrative or theme at Habit, but it's a decent burger alternative, and you can walk out with a basic burger (only) for under $5. Recommended.

A perfect place for a great burger that is moist, juicy and perfectly delicious with all the right toppings. I finished my burger wanting another one even though I was full because it was sooooooo good. I will even go as far as saying it is better than Five Guys for those that feel Five Guys is the best spot for burgers. It is not overly priced for a gourmet burger. Be sure to check out the location in Riverdale, MD where Morgan the manager and his staff will take good care of you and make sure you have a flawless experience

My son got extremely sick from a cheeseburger at The Habit!! I will not recommend this location.

I've ordered from this location twice and visited the actual store once. I usually order the fried chicken sandwich which is really tasty. I also like their tempura string beans and French fries. The serving sizes for the sides are pretty small for the price point but they're tasty. I ordered from them last night and decided to try a burger instead of my usual chicken sandwich. I ordered the double char burger with cheese and it was delicious. Easily one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory. The flavors were amazing. I will definitely go back.

Much better than I had anticipated for a burger joint next to Whole Foods. Because the complex is new, it was pretty clean. Food: Customizable which I liked. Good break quality. Definitely retains the SoCal vibe. You can get plenty of avocado here. Their mushroom burger was great and their veggie one was not bad! My favorite part was the fries. Sweet potato and the sauced one definitely changed my opinion of the place. Drinks: Shakes were mediocre which lost it its star because it was marketed so well (pictures got me again), but was such a let down.

quick service, good burger, very clean and modern interior. only gripe is that the fries were so extremely salty. i'm talking literally lip chapping, stick on your fingers salty. would be perfect if not for this one flaw.

I thought that it was clean and the food was pretty good! I got the crispy chicken sandwich, and the steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was one of the best burgers ever. The chicken was seasoned well and not too salty, and the lettuce seemed fresh. The service was really good too, and the food didn't take long at all. It was also well priced. You can also sit outside or inside. :D very satisfied and would recommend for people visiting this area.

Have to admit that I was that customer who had a craving right before close. Staff was super friendly despite my disruption. Food is always good and tasty, but it is always the service that makes it great for the customer. Thank you!

Not very good in contrast to Rockville's location. Service was not very warm and neither was the burger. Came out room temp and more greasy than I'm used to from other locations. They do not do a very good job cleaning for a restaurant that just opened. I'm not sure what is upstairs either but if you sit in, the ceiling sounds like someone is banging upstairs consistently. A huge fan of the Habit, not a fan of this location sadly esp with it being closer to home :(

If I were to return, I'd get the Santa Barbara Char that looks absolutely yummsters (saw someone picking it up!)! But I went in for green beans and a chocolate malt. I will have to update this review once I do try their burger but I must say the green beans were unevenly salted so there could be a bite that was way too salty and others where the ranch dip just added a very complimentary flavour. I gave 3 stars because I gather what I ordered is not what made the Habit Burger Grill a habit but rather because there was a funky green bean in my order that I'm hoping was either too burnt rather than a rotten one and someone should have caught that before serving 11/23/19 So I finally made my way back here with the family thanks to the chartickets sent (Thank u!) and i finally tried the Santa Barbara (2 of us got the Santa Barbara and one of us got the charburger w/cheese and we paid the difference)...welp, appreciate the service but Habit Burger is still a no go for me: both Santa Barbaras were way too salty even for me and at first I thought maybe bc of the pickles but not so (the other Santa Barbara had no pickles) and the burgers were less than well done and we didn't know the meat would not have been well done or we wouldve asked for it nope sorry, we didnt bother taking photos since we dont plan on giving this another chance).

Kind of had higher expectations of this place.. maybe because it's anything other than McD's and BK.. but didn't find it any better.. The burgers are pretty greasy. Yes, their ingredients are a bit up a notch, but taste-wise.. mm, not to my liking I guess. The service was excellent though. The older gentleman working there instantly knew I was a pickup order and exactly which order was mine before I even had the chance to speak. I call that smart thinking. Perfect service, but not so much for the burger.

I've found the burgers here to be good but nothing overly special. Their attraction is that the burgers are flame grilled but honestly in the end they are kind of just a more expensive and slower version of a Burger King. Would prefer a thicker patty and maybe was hoping for something a little more gourmet burger style. But they are still good, just won't be on the top of mind when I want a burger.

This place was a super yummy fast food restaurant! I got the sirloin steak sandwich, the Santa Barbara style charbuger, the teriyaki char burger, sweet potato fries, onion rings and fries (we got a lot hahaha) But my favorite were the sirloin steak sandwich and the Santa Barbara style charburger. Both of these were more like a sandwich, but the meat was really good! The Santa Barbara also has avocado which added a nice touch. The fries were really good at first, but oddly they got pretty soggy within minutes. The onion rings were crispy and delicious though :) They also had sides that you could add yourself like jalapeños and sweet peppers, so i really liked that

The easiest habit you'll ever have to break. I have literally had better burgers and fries in a cafeteria. Much!!! No char taste in lukewarm burgers that are undercooked from the temp requested---and though you waited... they weren't just made. And the fries... as soon as Wendy's gets up off the floor laughing, I'll let them tell you about the fries.

The Double Cjar Burger was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and so juicy. Much better than BugerFi. Fries are good but onion rings were so so. Back again and now trying their Porta Char which is a cheese burger with portobello mushrooms. So far so good.
