Sadly I had an horrible experience buying the clip in extensions! The quality was so bad! Super dry and the hair didn’t hold the styling! I wear for a photoshoot and the hairstylist and client told me that that hair was with bad quality. I used to buy the hairstylist with them for a while now, this is the first time that happened to me, but I heard from some other people too, I brought it back to them and they couldn’t exchange or give my money back, I’m definitely now buying with them again.

I’ve been buying hair here for years, but the most recent clip in extensions I bought are absolutely awful. After a few minutes of wearing them the clips are completely slipping down my hair and I spend the entire evening having to re-adjust them. I spent almost $400 on these extensions and the ends are completely fried and dry. It is actually embarassing how bad the hair looks and feels. After seeing how many people in the reviews are having the same experience I will be making a tik tok video to keep other people from making the mistake of shopping here. The company should be ashamed of themselves.

First time there today. There is parking behind the billing, a friendly and helpful security guard in the parking lot. As soon as I walked in, I was assisted by two very courteous and helpful ladies that were well versed and ready to assist not only with the extensions I was there to purchase but with trying on wigs for a future purchase... They carry quality real hair wigs that I will go back to buy. Great experience!

Parking lot seems to always be full on Wednesday & Thursday. Which is a bit surprising since the store never has any customers in it. Not sure if they are leasing spots for the businesses that burned down across the street. If you’re looking for real human hair validate before you buy. They use synthetic hair and don’t disclose any of it on the packaging. Synthetic hair is a fraction of the cost of real human hair.

I have been purchasing 1-tip extensions from here for over 8 years . This last order was very disappointing. I order led the 707 exclusive in 18inches and when I received my order , I noticed they looked a lot shorter . When I measured the hair it was in fact not 18inches but closer to 14inches . Very disappointing as the hair is pricey.

My hair stylist has been coming to The Hair Shop for years! And finally over the weekend, I met her there to find the right hair for my transformation. The Hair Shop has a lot of parking in the back with a security guard. It's a super easy process to go in, check out what you need, buy what you need - very easy shopping. The person helping us was very nice & helped my stylist with questions while they kind of bounced things off of each other. I walked out $1200 more poor but hopefully will be a glam girl in a week for the next year! haha Seriously, I know my stylist loves this Hair Shop location in Hollywood and I had a great experience here now, too! Elsa coming back in 7... :)

The very best hair quality for K-tip extensions. I got worried after reviewing their reviews, but I have always gotten quality straight hair. My extensions last 3 to 4 months. I go to the Hollywood Store, where they keep and save my purchases, very knowledgeable. It also helps that I have a great hair extension person Camijae!

They sold me a wig with a defect and did not accept any exchange. I bought 2 wigs (2 days apart) at this store because of hair loss following an illness. The sales person who sold me the defective wig did not gave me any explanation, nor helped to settle down the wig correctly (which I would have need since it was the first time I bought one). My hairstylist, which was supposed to style my wig 3 days after purchase saw right away the default. As he has an account with the store and is used to their wigs, he told me to return the wig (a lot of hair was cut very short at different places which made it impossible to style). They did not want to hear anything and had a bad attitude and just did not care a dime. They also refused to talk to my hairstylist on the phone (which is also one of their client). I now have a wig I can't wear and spend $300 for nothing. Extremely disappointed by the material and the sales person who was not professional at all.

I've been doing hair for over 13 years now. The hair shop used to be the only place I'd order from. I'm not sure what changed the last 2 years, but something. The hair either looks like a nest of birds took over or it just falls right out! I've been trying to contact them for 2+ weeks, no response. So I call them, they have no record of my emails (but I do!) so now I have to file a claim. BS. I spent $400 on hair that just falls out by strands daily. Each day is a game now how much more can I lose?! But yes, let me open a claim to prove how horrible this hair is. I'm within the 30 day policy and still... save your money and buy elsewhere! **UPDATE** The gave me $100 back on $400 hair. Please save your money and buy your hair or clients hair literally Anywhere else! I worn about a month and the hair has all shedded out. This is what your hair will look like buying hair through The Hair Shop.

The selection of wigs and style was very limited. I thought it was going to be more grand but it was just okay.There wasn't a flood of options. I was a little disappointed as initially pulling up to the building it looks so promising but once you enter your greeted and the wig section is towards the back of the building. The sales assistance was OK. I didn't get a lot of input nor suggestions. I came wanting to spend but left there looking to take my money elsewhere. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't a memorable one either. I was really hoping to like this place because my hairdresser recommended me.

I bought hair like twice and they talk to my stylist on the phone , she said to use her account because she sent me there , I need another bundle , I went to the store and one of the employees who told me she is the store maneger wanted to force me to open account with them and I said I don't want to mix accounts so if I need more hair just login to same account I usually use and make sure I'm getting the right color, I'm a cosmetologiest myself and I could buy it myself and get the discount but I'm not doing hair extensions and don't need separate account with them, I work at the same salon that they did my hair extension and we use same account , even though is their policy which is not , they shouldn't sell it to me last 2 time with the same salon account we all use , if she is a store manager must train her employees to follow same policy . I'm in Beauty business for 18 years and never had this experience with any supply store , very disappointed and won't recommend to anyone because she could sell the hair to me without discount but she says you must open an account with us , I'm so glad that don't have account with them . I wish I could give zero star .

As soon as my daughter and I walked in the door I related what her hairdresser wanted me to purchase for her. The person who helped us was incredibly knowledgeable about their products, located what we needed, showed us the product, demonstrated how to attach the product. He answered all our questions paid and received the discount. The whole exchange took place in 15 minutes. From the guard at the door welcoming us until we walked out the door, every part of the experience was first rate! The entire world should operate in this fashion!

I ordered a white platinum extension and the color I received was a yellow blonde and not as pictured. They refused to return the shipping costs. I would have kept it and ordered more if it had looked like the online picture. This is bad business practice to charge shipping when you ship a product that is not as pictured. Run, do not walk from this company.

What happened to they're quality I been coming here for years and never had this issue until now , i recently got 2 batches of clip-ins ,spend around 600+$ horrible worst quality i don't know what happen to the quality they are dry and curled up as if it was plastic shedding hair and for two packs of clips looks like one piece of clip in alone so disappointed.

first time trying this brand put the hair in less than 2 weeks ago , only washed it 2x and the hair is dry, frizzy the ends look and feel like split ends/straw... i spent 1k on this hair...the quality is HORRIBLE... i wish i would of seen these reviews before purchasing... will never purchase this hair again... based on other reviews they are KNOWINGLY selling ppl shit quality hair and clearly dont care ...BUYER BEWARE!!! I sent them an email of course acting all surprised there is an issue... i doubt ill get a decent resolution to this issue

I bought tape ins for about $450. I took them out a month later because the quality was so bad. They would clump together right after brushing, and the split ends were so bad in just a month. This is after using expensive hair mask, epres bonding spray, oaui heat protectant and expensive leave in conditioner. Wish I could get my money back.

After using them for 15 years as a professional stylist I'm giving up. The prices have gone up alot and the quality way down. Both myself and my coworkers have had problems with quality recently. My client has been wearing this brand for years and knows how to take care of them. Sometimes sets used to last almost a year. She used another brand for a year since she wanted curly hair but came back to hairshop for straight hair again.This new set after 8wks was really dry and started to shed and after 3 months looks like straw!! It's so dry and breaking off. It's constantly shedding after 3mo she said she has maybe 1/2 the hair left. When I reached out to support the most they would offer is %15 off the next batch and I only got response from a manager after I called them. Unacceptable this hair needs to be replaced or refunded. For hair thats allegedly worth over $700 his hair is not worth it. I added photos. Lost a long time salon customer, I can not professionally install hair that the company does not stand behind. Side note I loved that they changed their website to all sales are final they KNOW they got bad hair look at the recent reviews. Instead of taking accountability they are going to continue to sell the bad hair and tell everyone they are SOL

We had the best experience here today! My mom just started chemo treatment and after the first treatment she started losing her hair very quickly. We wanted her to have a wig just in time for Christmas so my parents had previously went to two different hair shops prior to coming here and both places made her feel so bad and treated her like she was disgusting. I was looking for a place that was open on a Sunday (most shops are usually closed) so that I can go with them and found The Hair Shop was open. When arriving we were greeted by I believe his name was Bryant (says it on the receipt, I forgot to ask) who was super friendly and very helpful. He explained the different types of wigs they had, how to care for them and answered any questions we had. He made my mom feel so comforteable and even put the wigs on for her to try. Bryant (sorry if that's not your name) thank you so much for treating my mom so well and made her feel comfortable! Definitely recommend The Hair Shop!

Disgusted. Don't shop at this business. I have had issues with my hair for a while now feeling insecure hormonal changes etc, so I decided to try to some extensions. I went to the Hair Shop to get a consolation and they were very police and seemed knowledgeable. they told me what they thought I should purchase ($300 later) and recommended I work with an approved stylist who had studied at the Hair Shop. This I did. About $1500 dollars later and less than 6 weeks all that money and stress went down the drain - the WEFTS they advised me to purchase ripped massive clumps out of my head. It was humiliating, dispiriting and really honestly depressing. To add insult to injury I had had purchased another $190 worth of new hair in a new style that I was told "wouldn't be so damaging" but when my stylist took the original ones out - I had so many bald spots she advised me not to use the new ones I had just purchased and give my head a break. I did this for about 8 months UNTIL MY HAIR GREW BACK - then I went back to the Hair Shop and asked for a refund - the hair I had purchased was pristine, never touched still in the bag with the receipt and they refused to give me my money back. I should charge them for my therapy bills - a terrible policy - if something is total unused and still sealed and hasn't expired and is fresh and beautiful anD you have the receipt you should be able to get their money back. SHAME ON THAT WHOLE COMPANY - DON'T FREQUENT THEM. PS I still want my money back - I think if this company had any kind of respect for it's customers who spend SO MUCH MONEY on their products they should have the decency to let people return unopened and unused items. i would like management to reach out to me and make this right if they don't I will have to reach out to them -

I took the free "Wild, Wild Weft" course on Zoom and won a free hair extension class. The Hair Shop was nice enough to let me pay the difference and upgrade to the Master Extension Class and trained in-person with Heather Smith. Heather is very detailed, friendly, patient and organized. She has a good sense of humor and adaptable personality. I love her energy and the connections that she has 1-on-1 with every student. She ensures every students left knowing the material and is be ehhh thorough in her teaching ways. Heather is great and is amazing at her craft. I would highly 10/10 recommend to everyone that wants to get into the hair industry.

I came in yesterday and explained to Liz, the "assistant manager" that five of my tape ins I had purchased 3 weeks ago slipped off my hair after just two days of having them installed by my stylist. I explained how I had to keep going back to her to get them fixed over and over again and showed her one of them coming off. However, instead of helping me fix the problem by at least saying "I apologize for the inconvenience", she rudely pointed out it was my fault for washing my hair a few days after having them installed. Evidently, the tape ins I had purchased did not have a quality medical-grade adhesive. Anyway, when I was ready to pay for the rest of the tape ins, she said the manager was not in, but I could opt to call manager Christian another day or a get a free small pack of extra glue. I took the extra glue as I did not want to deal with that store anymore. However, I feel that customer service should be taught to Liz.

Never had an issue with their hair quality in the past, however... This last 5 bundles are CRAP!!!!! After the very first wash, the the hair knotted up and looked so damaged. I callled to inform them not even sure how they'd remedy this.. But needless to say they didnt do a damn thing. I understand the different donors but this hair should have never made it to the point of purchase. Ladies, this is an expensive luxury we do and to experience this outcome is devastating. I'm with my stylist right now for root color, she's spending 20 minutes untangling this crap hair. I'm wearing my hair in a braid until its time to toss this shit. Im done with Hair Shop. VERY expensive lessons. How can we know in the future?? It always looks so good right out of thr package right??

What a waste of time Don't go here if you are new to wigs, you can only try on 3. Wish I could have just bought a wig that I loved there, and been done with it. They have great selection, but I was told I could only try on 3, sucks the first 3 I tried on didn't work for me. The cut/color etc... so many different variations. How could you limit us to only 3 options. Now I'm stuck driving to the next wig shop, where I can hopefully find the one that's right for me, I hope they have better customer service. It's an extremely unprofessional rule, it's like going clothes shopping and only being able to try on 3 outfits If I'm going to spend thousands of dollars at your store, let me try on more than 3 wigs so that I can find the one that fits me the best and that I love. Thought it was a joke after I tried on the first 3... like are you serious? I picked up my purse and walked out, it's like they don't want your business.

Although Liz was very helpful I had a horrible experience with the hair , I paid 700 for the hair I had it in for less than a month and it was getting light (I got natural black) the hair was super brittle and frizzy from the bottom aswell . I called and they gave me new hair but I had to pay once again for my new instal after just paying for an instal and the hair which was due to their product which was unfair to me . Nevertheless I got the new hair and it's happening again in less than a month I did everything to make sure it didn't happen again and when I asked them before getting the new hair "what would happen if it happens again " she said "when we replace the hair it usually never happens again " I asked her if it does happen again would I get refunded and she said yes and now that the hair is going bad again she said she never said that . Also not to mention when I called I heard the employees complain saying "idk why everyone is calling today and complaining " . I had a bad experience here for paying 700 just for hair that couldn't last me not 1 months twice and having to waste double the money to get it installed and taken out due to their product.

Some really nice wigs here and the door guy is so nice, pity about the staff here. Not sure whether they are rude or just have IQs averaging 90. I came in to buy a wig on Saturday. I was lucky to try a few on - the staff seemed super displeased though and I really didn't feel welcome. I liked two of the three I tried and I bought one. Today I came in to buy the other one, the staff member from the other day seemed to be in a better mood. I was told there's a promo today - great! But at the counter I was told the price of the wig had increased over $100 despite the same price being on the tag. I had to wait in a chair for the manager to request they honor the price. Super uncomfortable because again, everyone here acts like they're constipated or have some cramp that forces them to be totally miserable. Finally the manager finishes what she's doing, tells me the price changed overnight because the wig prices change on Mondays. Well if the wig was here yesterday and your vendor prices changed today, you already had the wig in your possession so why jack up the prices? She looked confused. Again, not sure whether people here are rude or just kind of delayed. Nice products, just please upgrade customer service because shopping here is about as fun as walking into a cactus.

STEVEN, you are amazing! Came here with my best friend about a week ago to look for some clip-in extensions. We were greeted by Steven, a sales associate. I told him what I'm looking for so he brought out my options. We clipped in a variety of extensions to see which worked best for my hair. He was so patient with me and I really enjoy that, especially when I have no clue what I'm buying. I ended up purchasing the more higher end clip ins because they're much thinner than the regular ones. My hair is extremely thin so I needed a set that I wouldn't have a problem blending in with my hair. They're pretty pricey but I guess they're worth it. Now, I need to learn how to actually wave my hair and place the extensions in. Haha. Thank you, Steven! I will recommend everyone to come see you! You were awesome! Best customer service EVER!!!!! :)

I've been coming for a couple of years now and I've never had a problem until now. I called to see if they had a return policy and the girl I spoke to over the phone said I have 2 months to return my purchase. About two weeks later I called back asking if it's okay to return what I bought (within the two month window) and she said they have a 30 day return policy when I was previously told I had 2 months???The extensions are expensive and the wefts I bought were untouched and she was telling me there was nothing she could do about it. I'm just unhappy because I was told two different things and I was just trying to return something I bought.

I took the Keratip Class it was so knowledgeable, the Instructor Johnathan was friendly, and patient. He was willing and happy to answer any question. Even tho it was an online curse you will never really tell a difference since they keep it in a really small class. Johnathan took the time and he looked into everyones technique he will let us know in a really nice and friendly manner what to improve and tips to do it better. I'm impress what a good experience I had from an online class.

I attended the 9/16/2019 EMC- Extention Master Class- and let me just say Heather was amazing. I have taken my certification classes with 3 different companies within the past 10 years and by far this was the best. Heather came in with so much energy and enthusiasm in her craft and throughout the class gave us tips and tricks to make each one of the 6 methods taught faster and better. Wow...I just had a very unpleasant experience shopping for my extensions. The little guy who "helped" me was extremely...EXTREMELY rude. I didn't catch his name but his hair looked like a skunk and he was not pleasant to work with. Acted like I was burdening his day by being there. Why do people feel the need to act this way to their customers? I won't come back to this location.

They sell the thinnest hair extensions ever!! 1 pack is 200 dollars! I got 2 packs and it was still thin!!! Stringy ends ‍big waste of my money! Don't make my mistake. Also they have this security guard inside who was following me like a hawk as if I was gonna steal something. Disgusting!

This location stereotypes!! Even if you have money and don't look a certain way they don't seem to want to help you. I went in for some 18" black tape ins the Asian lady was like are you sure?! Because they are 3o something a pack; I told so so....? I end up leaving spending 415 on my extensions. I told my husband what had happened he told me I should've walked out and not purchased anything. Since they want to stereotype me & be rude!!

I'm really sad about this review. I wish I had done my homework before purchasing my hair- and it appears from these other reviews that I'm not the only one. For starters, my experience at the store itself was lovely. Everyone was very helpful and nice, and the store was beautiful. Lots of options for any type of extensions you need. I had my stylist come with me, and she was also quite impressed. No complaints there. I chose a rooted keratip extension. 22" and I bought a bundle (5 packs). I was assured they were great quality, honestly they felt like it. Here was where I ran into trouble. 2 months later, my bonds are flakey, falling out, broken. The hair has not been processed, just washed and taken care of TREMENDOUSLY. I've lost at least 5 bonds that have ripped my real hair out, and nearly 4 inches of hair has been cut off! In TWO MONTHS. The hair is frail, stragly, thin, doesn't blend well, and has even fallen out. After talking with my stylist, I honestly feel the quality is not what they insist it is. I think some of it is blended with synthetic hair. My hair was almost $300 and I've lost half of the hair I've purchased. My hair is HORRIBLY matted. Even with the proper brush, hair masks...it's been unrepairable. They only lasted me about 5 weeks. Very disappointing for this price point. Do your homework. They're lovely people, but I don't feel the quality is worth nearly the price you pay for it. I'm having them removed next week. Attached below are pictures.

They have the worst itips ever. The hair is not sealed well when you get them. My hair lady installed them in and it's already ripping like the hair of the extensions are falling out. Upon purchase. Allie told me I have a month to return and a month of warranty. WARRANTY MEANS EXCHANGE if it doesn't work out within that time frame. Bought them 11-09-23 i called and told them the situation and said im coming in to exchange and she said I can't cause I put them in my head. They refuse to give me a refund or exchange even tho they said I can. I tried returning them 11-14-23. INSANE. Low quality extensions so I had to go to my back and file a dispute. Don't go here. Go to Bellami hair. Thicker. Don't trust this place. KEEP IN MIND, my hair dresser is so good , even thinned my hair out to do her best to make them blend more . That's how thin these extensions are. UPDATE THE BEADS WONT EVEN HOLD THE ITIP EXTENSIONS LOOK AT LAST PHOTO. They slip off that's how thin they are

Horrible extensions. Paid $500 dollars. They shed like I can't believe! Daily hair loss where there will be nothing left soon. Purchased the loop brush from them and am as gentle as possible and the hair just keeps coming out. Hours after styling it if I run my fingers through the end....,hair still comes out. Been using extensions (Klix professional and luxury for princess) and these are by far the worst quality with this shedding issue.
