This was my worst experience ever. Food was disgusting and service below arctic temperature. When you say Shawerma or Doner, it means fresh food not already prepared and stored meat and chicken. Meat was so oily. Bread was wet and smells weird. I’m so shocked how a chain restaurant can have such performance. I addressed my complain to an employee, i guess she has no idea what customer service means. Note: Keep away and eat somewhere else.

Food is good but the place is a little too dim. Be aware of the red sauce cuz it’s VERY spicy.

We each had the combo plate and ordered fries for our daughter. Food was fresh, and the employees were pleasant.

Staff is nice, but omg worst chicken wrap ever. It was shawarma swamp. The chicken was literally boiled. A soggy inedible mess. Witnessing the sad chicken pieces slowly drown in the puddle of sacred tahini gave me flashbacks from that tragic scene from The Neverending Story and i cried. That scene will make the hardest kid soft. So sad to see natural ingredients be squandered like that... The chicken was slaughtered only to be hella disrespected smh. :(

We had a falafel plate, hummus and fries. For all of those there are much better and cheaper places around the campus.

I was one of the first 50 people in line for the grand opening free platter of food. I appreciate the disc jockeys they had in front playing music to make the time pass much faster. I also appreciate the heat lamps placed to keep us warm. The food was well worth the wait in the cold. The food was delicious. I had a chicken and falafel platter with lots of toppings (olives, peppers, jalapenos). I won some fries via the raffle out front and the were excellent. That hot sauce is no joke heed the warnings. My scalp is still sweating but it knocked out the flu congestion I had. I can't wait to go back.

The food itself is good, just like Halal guys in New York -- but the protein is a bit more dry at this location. But this location is inconsistent in the amount of food they give you, sometimes giving you very little protein. And the workers are inconsistent too -- sometimes you'll get someone who is really nice/happy and sometimes you get people who don't give a sh*t about what they're doing.

Finally this location has opened! I was super excited to hear that Halal was coming to Berkeley and waited a whole year for it to be open. Went here for the grand opening and it didn’t disappoint. Although the line was long, they did a great job getting people in and out at a good pace. The food was great, definitely reminded me of my first time trying it in the NYC. I will definitely be a regular now since that it’s in such a convenient location.
