Tried this for the first time. Ordered the Regular Platter with Beef Gyro and Chicken and extra Beef Gyro, and extra Side of Pita bread. I recommend just getting the Beef Gyro it was delicious the chicken was not pleasant for me. It was clean and organized the woman greeted me it was busy but not chaotic like clockwork people came in and got their orders which means they have a lot of regulars I told her I have a feeling I will be a regular as well I love Gyros. They have it in a bowl and it’s a great idea the rice was delicious, the white sauce seemed homemade and had some spices in their j didn’t recognize and I loved it!! They did a great job! The pita bread was too soft for me and doughy I’m not a fan of it being that soft. But for the most part it was good. I downloaded the app to get a free drink and to try a side for free. When I told her I had just downloaded the app and was about to show her she said I couldn’t use it the first time. I have to make a purchase first and then I could add the receipt to the app. Which I thought was weird but apps do require different things. I don’t know why it was advertised in that way. I was happy to get the food and she was very polite I said no problem and agreed to pay for the drink. I did want to try a side as well. But I chose not too. Food was delicious and it’s nice to see this in this area…

We stopped here for brunch on Saturday 02/22. The staff were nice and polite. Falafel and pita bread were good, freshly served. Hummus here was one of the best I had so far, tasted really good and fresh . The restroom was kept very clean and the place is tidy and clean too. Ample parking and the outside dining is very nice place to be.

We stopped by this restaurant around 9 PM, only to find it dark and seemingly closed. Though we saw people inside, it looked like they turned off the lights and equipment to avoid attracting customers. It was disappointing and made us feel unwelcome, as if they didn’t want to serve us. We left It might be helpful if the owner checked in with their team to ensure that customers are greeted with a more inviting environment, even later in the evening

Google
Really like this chain. I've been to 2 locations and they are both good. The only thing I have not tried is their falafel. Everything else is good especially with the hot and white sauce. Be careful with the hot sauce. It's not your typical hot sauce. A regular bowl will feed me twice. My only complaint is a regular bowl should come with more than 3 pieces of naan. 3 is not enough.

Google
I didn't even put a dent on in...so much food.....and delicious...definitely coming back

Google
the food was great the service was expected but it was impossible to eat inside. it was literally just as hot inside as it was outside in this 100° Texas heat. Make sure you're close to your destination if you're going to dine in our just wait until the fall of winter, but the food will not disappoint you. lol oh and the red is HOT so be betty careful with it if you're not into 🔥 🥵 ijs

Good place to grab a bite before or after coming back from a trip at nearby Lovefield.

I had mixed platter. Food was okay, felt dry. The person who was serving seemed to be rude. I asked her more less lettuce and more tomato. Still she did the opposite. She did not even ask if I want to dine in or not. My friend was served by another guy that time. His experience was good.

Yelp
I love going to the location on Lemmon Ave in Dallas -- it's the best of the locations in the DFW! The entire staff is always super friendly, the meals are always fresh, and there is always a great laugh to be had with the crew. I can eat Halal Guys multiple times a week and not get tired of it because...well...my family and I just love the food! If you haven't been to the Lemmon Ave location...you're missing out on that extra touch that makes Halal Guys and that particular location...special. Me llamo Luis!...and I'm a Halal Guy

Chol K.

Yelp
I have enjoyed halal guys for years. Always hit the spot when I was craving a nice plate. My concerns now would be the increase in price, which would be ok if the kept the same portion size but they have been real stingy with their food. The service has gone downhill unfortunately. It's usually completely dead when I go grab some food, maybe this is leading to the laziness with the staff. I saw a staff member make himself a plate that was literally twice the size that I purchased lol. I complained about the lack of food and she just told me that I could get a refund and didn't actually help at all :/. This franchise through bad hires with employees will unfortunately run itself out of business in Dallas sooner than later. Please get your stuff together and bring it back to the first year you guys came here

Noah S.

Yelp
Got food poisoning here. Never returning. Plus every time I come in the employees are all sitting down eating and slightly annoyed about having a customer (me). Lol I respect the restful game, but my goodness don't be so annoyed at me for coming in and being a customer. So sad bc I used to love halal guys

Caroline Z.

Yelp
Chicken Platter with Baba Ghanoush Always one of my go to spots! Love the consistency in how good it always is. Such a fan of the red and white sauces. My friend's beef kabob was great too. Baba ghanoush was pretty yummy.

Hortencia R.

Yelp
My experience at this location has always been pleasant but i realized that today i was under served When asked why the rice was less than normal i was told that I'd have to pay extra for more. As i read through the reviews and see similar experiences regarding customers of Hispanic culture receiving a more pleasant visit or healthy portion i see why the store is rated so low This is very unfortunate considering the majority of the employees are Hispanic I would suggest some diversity training amongst the company in order to improve this As a long rime customer i will look for another location to support

Justin M.

Yelp
The workers at this location were very rude! I was rushed and was met with frustration when I asked questions about new items that had no prices listed or ingredients displayed. It also seemed that they were nicer to Spanish speaking customers which is unfortunate because this is not acceptable behavior.

Robert J.

Yelp
Always great for for lunch or dinner. I'm kinda spoilt by their consistent high quality! Their staff are super quick to prepare my order. Thank you so much!

Sycerika M.

Yelp
Such a yummy and affordable meal! The gyro is my go to. The platter is my other go to. Highly recommend both!

Dan G.

Yelp
The food is pretty decent here! I feel like it's pretty basic but sometimes basic is all you need. If you are just needing a quick bite this place is definitely on the faster side. Not the fanciest place but it is a simple quick and good service.

Belly G.

Yelp
This is an okay location. I stopped by here because I had just landed at DAL and I was starving. Whoever was working that night didn't seem like she wanted to be there - she just seemed tired. To be fair, it was pretty late. But still a little smile couldn't hurt. I placed my order to go, I got what I needed, and then I left. The My regular beef platter was good, so I have no complaints about the food.

Bobby C.

Yelp
Food was not bagged well and leaked. This location has no working AC so do not plan to eat inside as it feels over 80 degrees inside right now.

Katherine L.

Yelp
Food is always really tasty and it's made quickly for you. The service workers are also very nice. Great option if you want something healthy and quick

Randy N.

Yelp
Food is great. Combo platter is our go to. Fast service, quick good food, good prices.

Jane G.

Yelp
What a great chain restaurant! It's pretty fast, but not what youd imagine for fast food. I usually order the combo plate, and the meat and falafel have never disappointed me! My personal favorite is their falafel, which has such a great flavor in a perfectly crisp fried exterior. It comes with a white sauce which really adds to the flavor profile. You can ask for the red sauce on the side, as it can be a little spicy for some people. The rice is nothing to complain about, and the lettuce and tomato add some level of freshness to the plate overall. If you're not sure where to eat, this is always a good go-to option!

Marcus R.

Yelp
Always prepared quickly and accurately! Love ordering ahead and picking up here. A solid choice for a quick meal.

Sunehra H.

Yelp
"Chicken and rice" When I need to find my sons comfort food, what better place than a nearby halal guys. Load up on white sauce and the combination is tasty and filling.

Johnathan S.

Yelp
This was my first time here and the food was really good. Service was fast and had a lot of room to sit and eat if you like. Would definitely go back again.

Freda R.

Yelp
New location! Great food great service! Fresh and hot!!! Glad they have moved to my side of town.

Amy S.

Yelp
Halal Guys is my favorite go to lunch spot. I wish there was one where I live. Every time I'm in Dallas for work I stop here. I have catered for work as well. The service is great and the food is fantastic. Even a small bowl is enough for lunch and dinner.

Roz R.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday and the first thing you feel is the AC wasn't working, horrible smell like stagnant water, and restrooms not working/closed. I made it pass my order but then thought how safe is the food with these kinds of temperatures it was 106 outside in TX heat. The staff said the AC had not been working for a while. I couldn't finish my food nor did it taste good great given all these circumstances. This location is failing in all aspects. They didn't have no other customers, that should have been the first clue.

hubei m.

Yelp
Great place for lunch or dinner the gyro bowl is amazing. It's very filling , I love the white sauce and the red sauce is good in moderation. Spicy hot! Looking forward to trying the falafel next time.

Kristie N.

Yelp
Pretty consistent with NY and LA locations. They really packed my platter and that's ALWAYS appreciated.

Walter M.

Yelp
I thought I was getting a euro and everything was fine until I opened up the packet of white sauce they gave me. It tasted like mayonnaise and ranch or something when I was expecting a Taziki sauce! I'm not sure how this place is gonna stay in business

Josh C.

Yelp
Try it because I went to New York and we love this. Now this is alright food, ok service, and ambiance needs more improvement. It didn't look fresh, it had the name and the sauce that were spot on but the food didn't taste fresh. 3/5.

Phillip N.

Yelp
Please do not go to this place. Ordered online. showed up, fries were cold and rock solid. asked for fresh fries. The lady took it out of the bag and threw it in my face went back to the freezer took a bag out and threw that into the bag. She's very luck i didn't call the police for assault. Don't waste your money here. They are terrible.

Keven W.

Yelp
We ended up eating here when I picked up my wife at the airport and before the snow storm hit. We ordered the chicken and beef shawarma plate. Overall prices were decent and it is in a small shop. We got one of the teas which were great and got the cheesecake. Unfortunately, we only got one when we ordered 2, but we wanted to go home before the snow storm hit. Anyways when we got home the food was awesome and they gave us a lot of sauce as we requested.

FoodWithWoo ..

Yelp
As a loyal customer I was frustrated with todays order. I sent my fiancé to pick up my order. My order was chicken platter, with Baba ghanoush and an extra pita. Once she got home I see there's no Baba ghanoush. I tried calling this location SIX times and never connected with anybody. I then decided to pull back up to request missing items. I give the cashier my receipt and explained I had missing items. The kitchen looks around gives me the impression that I'm lying. At this point I'm still patiently waiting. Their 21 year old manager comes out and says. "Do you have the bag? You need to bring the bag next time this happens". WHAT THE HECK DOES THE BAG HAVE TO DO WITH MY MISSING ITEMS?? Then the original lady who bagged up my items says she for sure packed the Baba ghanoush. At this point I'm pissed because they think I'm lying about a $5 side item and are wasting my time. Frustrated I leave. My fiancé then drives back up to the location for a THIRD time from my household, and request a full refund and returned the chicken platter. I will NEVER be back at this location. Unprofessional and inexperienced in hospitality and customer service.

Yelp
Former New Yorker leaving an honest review. 1st off I am disappointed. This is not the same halal guys as New York. As soon as you get around a halal guys street cart or store front, you can smell it from outside. "seasoning & flavor" they messed up big time bringing this brand to Texas. It's just not the same. Rice has almost no flavor & normally a platter does not run you $10 bucks. Up north it's $7 bucks the most with a drink and as much white sauce & "burn your taste buds off" sauce as you can handle. I was excited to see Halal guys here, but that excitement is gone after having a platter here. Give Dallas the real deal. I find it deceitful for this brand to be such a let down here. People here don't know what real halal flavor is..

David S.

Yelp
After having really good gyros from all over the place, this place fell short for me. It just lacked that real gyro flavor. To me Halal Guys is like fast food for gyros. I didn't like it.

Jorge G.

Yelp
When my friend first recommended we go to this place to eat I was skeptical about it; however I couldn't be more wrong!!! This place was Super good!!! The staff was super helpful and I couldn't be more happy in taking a chance!!! I will definitely be returning!!!

Kemon S.

Yelp
This location is the worst ever. It always stinks and customers service is a joke. The worker never have in the lights so it always looks closed. Corporate should come in and hire new people immediately.

Ken P.

Yelp
I've been seeing the Halal Guys pop up all around Dallas and decided it time I step in. Upon entry your greeted by a friendly team member who gives you an option of a gyro or platter. I opted for gyro and fries thinking the platter was too much food for me. The meal along with a bottled Snapple set me back $12 which isn't too bad. The gyro was so good. The chicken was very good and balanced well with the crunchiness of the veggies topped off with a white sauce that brings warmth and juiciness followed by the red sauce which brings the heat. The food is served in foil. If you have a sensitivity to aluminum, ask that they use a plate. Be careful and don't get too much red sauce or you won't be able to enjoy your meal, maybe ask for it on the side. Finally the fries were not very good. It has to do with the oil they fried them in which makes them have a off taste. Other than that I recommend coming and trying em our.

Salvador T.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to meet the owner of this franchise and he is extremely kind, respectful, and friendly. He told me to go and try out this place called The Halal Guys. I had driven past this place at least a hundred times and heard good things about it hear and there. So I walked in, the environment is nice and calm with good music, the team they had on duty were really helpful and friendly as well. I sat down with a beef gyro and chicken platter combo and a baklava cheesecake. Food is full of flavor and is good quality. I ate the whole thing and was so stuffed I didn't want to move. Also, if they ask you if you want hot sauce, think safely, it has some heat. The nice lady looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for five squirts of hot sauce. Ten out of ten, highly recommend.

Kebron W.

Yelp
Worst food I've ever had. The chicken was absolutely flavorless not even salt. The rice was over cooked. White sauce is absolute garbage. Never go here!

Connor H.

Yelp
The my have really good food for a chain restaurant and I frequently come here. On Apple Maps it says it's open till 2am so I stopped by after work and they definitely aren't open that late. So don't get fooled like I did they aren't open

Rogelio S.

Yelp
I went for lunch today and the experience was really good. They give you a big smile as you walk in, the service is super fast and friendly, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. I really missed the feeling that you get at their street stands in the busy, polluted, noisy and crowded theater district in Manhattan...but for Dallas this location is perfect (has restrooms and tables!).

Cynthia C.

Yelp
I'm not sure there's as much of a hype surrounding this place as there used to be, but it's still dang good! I ordered a small chicken platter and my guy friend got the large beef platter, which were both the perfect portion sizes for each of us. The process is very similar to Chipotle where you choose what you want to add to your bowl. It automatically comes with rice, your choice of meat, pita bread, and lettuce/tomatoes if you want them. You have the option to add 2 balls of falafel for $1 (DO IT) and a choice of sauces. Caution the red sauce because my friend got it and started dying midway through dinner. Maybe ask for a little extra white sauce if they squeeze a little too much of the red on your food. The restaurant was very clean when we arrived and service was quick and easy. The only complaint I have is that the water cup are sooo tiny. I didn't really appreciate having to make multiple trips to the drink station to save my dying friend. This all seemed like a scam to make customers purchase one of the Dasani water bottles, which were located in a bright fridge conveniently next to the drink station...hmm. They have a rewards program that will get you about 4 stars on average per visit. Make sure you sign up for it because I know you'll be coming back after you have your first bite! You'll have to ask for a physical car at the register, which comes with 2 keyring cards as well and then you'll need to register it online. I thought this system was a little outdated and wasteful since a lot of places have their rewards programs on apps or through a phone number.

Beard B.

Yelp
Delicious beef, delicious shawarma, large portion with the regular size platter (rice bowl). White sauce is tasty. Hot sauce if HOT! Livened up the meal for sure! Definitely will be back. The service was quick. Young lady behind the counter was helpful (not very smiley, but maybe she just has an rbf).

Doug S.

Yelp
You have to try the Halal Guys! I had this type of food before at another restaurant so I knew what to expect. And I was not disappointed. Halal Guys did a wonderful job. Very good tasting food. And the food is simple. You get Halal meats which is beef gyro meat, or chicken or combo, with flavorful Middle Eastern and Mediterranean seasonings. Plus rice and a salad all in one bowl. Then you add the wonderful white sauce to the top. And if you like it hot add the red sauce as will. I like the hot sauce but it can be very hot so go light at first. You can always add more. You may also go vegetarian with falafel if you like. And they have gyro wraps and fries. The portion size is surprisingly filling it is hard to eat the whole thing. You may want to share unless you are hungry. I love this concept it is different and very good food. Not the same old burger or tacos. It is fast food style order at the counter then it is ready at the checkout. Check out their web page for some more information and pictures. I hope they open a store in Fort Worth and Arlington one day.

Cat N.

Yelp
Halal guys is delicious on a cold day and the warm plate just so satisfying. If you get meat and rice only, it can get overly salty if you dont get the lettuce. There was a lettuce recall (started off with romaine then the rest) I decided to be on the safe side and got my bowl without lettuce. I usually get lettuce with my bowl and it was so much better. The sauces are great and goes with the combo well. I must warn you though, the red sauce is on FIYAH! so only get a little bit of it.

Havah S.

Yelp
Hey, this location is great! Very clean on the inside, from the clean grill, counter top surfaces, Libby area and tables, even to the impeccably clean bathroom. I was very impressed!! The food is good, it tastes just as it should, and the woman who waited on me was super helpful and friendly. If I didn't have to use the bathroom I would have been in and out in under 5 min flat. Definitely coming here again !

Iris S.

Yelp
We have gotten food to go from here a couple times since it has opened. Each time, the line is basically out the door, which is a little bit of a turn off. However the food is pretty good. I think the falafel pita is pretty awesome, especially when craving falafel because its a lot quicker of an option opposed to making it yourself. Beware however, the hot sauce is HOT. They are not joking so use sparingly. The gyro meat isn't bad either. I would suggest if in the mood for this type of food, there isn't anything like it in the area.

Irena T.

Yelp
I no longer have to go to NYC for my Halal Guys fix!! Yayy!! I got my usual combo platter with chicken and gyro meat. I don't think it tasted EXACTLY the same as NYC, but it was still pretty good and did the trick. While we were eating, someone was also walking around the restaurant offering to add more white sauce to our platters (yassss). The red sauce was still as killer as I remember it. -1 star for finding a hair in my gyro meat....

Blanca C.

Yelp
I ordered on line 2 beef giros, meat wasn't fresh at all, tasted and looked like cooked days ago and was salty. I felt frustrated, didn't enjoy my dinner. I'll never go back to this business and of course don't recommend it to any one.

Katherine H.

Yelp
Following the craze, I have found myself at Halal Guys in Dallas a few times times. I was surprised by the good amount of parking they have around their shop as well as at the nearby streets. I have visited during peak hours and off peak hours and I recommend coming in the mid afternoon (2-4pm) or late at night (9-close) if you want to avoid the crowds. They serve you in line formation, pick if you want a bowl or warp, choose protein, and then toppings + sauce. I always go for the large platter + combo meat + red&white sauce + onions. The platter comes with pita and a small portion of lettuce and tomatoes. The food is good and has an addictive quality about it that makes you crave it more while you eat it. The red sauce is H-O-T, HOT. With that said it taste good without it, but the red sauce is bomb if you like spicy. Food is good, but idk if I'd wait in a long line for this food again, definitely will be back at non-peak hours if I ever crave it again. Side note: for those of you who have tried Halal Bros in ATX, which do you prefer? Send me a compliment and let me know, because I low key think I prefer Halal Bros in ATX and am curious what everyone else prefers.

Z Z.

Yelp
Halal Guys Lemmon Ave is really great. We had the Chicken Gyro. Very tasty and very generous portion. The workers are very pleasant and the atmosphere is great!!

Mobashir H.

Yelp
I moved here from NY, So compare to that this was a bad experience, meat was not fresh at all. Its nothing compare to the one in NY by Hilton(orig)

Eddie C.

Yelp
There is nothing quite like walking into place and hearing the sizzle from the flat top. The meat getting nice and caramelized, the aromatic rice, *breathes in heavily* just glorious. As soon as I looked at the menu, I knew I wanted to try both of their meats, so I settled on a combination platter (gyro and chicken). Next comes the rice tomato, and lettuce. A couple pieces of pita bread follow, and then you get to the sauce station. You definitely want both of these sauces. The white sauce is nice and creamy (and I'm sure, full of calories) and the red has a very noticeable kick to it. Being the spicy food lover that I am, I told the employee to give me two lines instead of the standard one. She looked at me with a confused look, but once I assured her I can handle it, she gave me two. Guys... let this be a lesson, go with the one line of red ;-). As soon as I got to my table, I mixed it all up and enjoyed every bite. Some may say it's just meat, rice, and sauce, but the flavors are on point. I needed to get a refill of my water every other bite, but it wasn't too bad and I enjoyed it. Luckily for me, an employee walks around asking if you would like more white sauce, which I more than happily accepted to try to bring the heat level down. All in all, I like The Halal Guys, and I am happy to see they found a new home in The Big D. But remember guys, just one line of the red sauce!

Eric M.

Yelp
I order from here regularly but couldn't repeat my usual order because the falafel platter was not available. I could order falafels on the side, but not on a platter. I think that's because they were pushing the vegetarian gyro "meat." Tempted to have something else for lunch, I took the bait. I haven't had gyro meat in so long I couldn't tell you how close the resemblance was, but I can say it was a satisfying lunch. It came with a cucumber sauce and extra pita. I do hope both falafel and veggie gyro are both options in the future.
