I had a fantastic experience at The Halal Guys, and a huge part of that was thanks to Maryum! From the moment I walked in, Maryum greeted me with a warm, genuine smile and made me feel incredibly welcome. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, patiently answered all my questions, and even gave great recommendations on what sauces to try (and how much hot sauce to add!). Her positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out, even during a busy time. Not only was she efficient and quick with preparing the order, but she also made sure everything was perfect before handing it over. It's rare to see someone who balances speed, friendliness, and quality so effortlessly. Maryum truly elevated my experience at The Halal Guys. Employees like her are the reason customers come back again and again. Thank you, Maryum, for your outstanding service!

Google
Service was exceptional. Very nice people but the food was not great. Everything is prepackaged and heated on site. The rice has MSG in it and the white sauce just tasted like ranch. The tea dispenser was also out of order. Just another "reheat-and-serve" place at the end of the day.

Google
Excellent food I love it. I’m gonna come back here again and The service was really good. Special the manager also very nice.

Google
The food at Halal Guys was delicious and hit all the right notes! There was this one girl I believe her name was Kaia! She had such friendly and efficient service it made the visit so much better. A solid spot for great flavors and good vibes. Please if you’re thinking of visiting it’s great idea! I went with my whole family! And let me tell you ! Compliments to the chef! 💕♾️

Google
I love how clean & bright the restaurant is a well as the color scheme. The food was delicious too. The wings had such a great flavor. You'll love the service as well, especially if you get Kaia. She's very personable and pleasant. You can have a beautiful restaurant and great food but if the service stinks, that trumps all the other goodness of the restaurant. I'm thankful for Kaia's great service, she's a keeper.

I was hoping to like Halal Guys because I like gyros and I haven't been able to get a good one nearby. But I was very disappointed. The beef gyro I had was flavorless. The bread was dry. And I was surprised that so many of the vegetable toppings carried a surcharge. I could have made a better gyro at home. The staff should be a little friendlier too. The guy that waited on me was not rude. But he was not very friendly or welcoming. I can't recommend this restaurant.

Google
We came here for lunch and it was delicious. The service behind the counter was so patient and kind so we ordered our meals easily. The ingredients were so fresh and our bowls weren’t heavy to the stomach even though a size Small was plentiful for me! I asked to add more white sauce to my bowl and it was perfect. The cake was something I haven’t had before, the flakiness of the top layer was delicious and the cream cheese wasn’t too sweet but sweet enough. Definitely will continue to come again.

Google
This place serves tasty halal food. I tried their medium size bowl. The quantity was pretty good, difficult to finish alone. I also tried their sandwich but it's more like wrap or gyro, not the sandwich made with normal bread. It's made with pita bread. The fried wings were also tasty but found a little dry. Overall this place serves tasty food in a good atmosphere.

Yelp
Halal guys.. super food stop. They have a limited but perfect menu. The food is super fresh and wicked tasty. I love the spiced meats and Falafel. The rice is amazing also. It is a great GO TO food stop. I've had a number of wraps and have moved on to the dinner plate versions. The price is sub 10 dollars for the wraps and platters. That's a solid food value that satisfies every time. God Bless D

Yelp
I ordered a chicken bowl, was hoping for more choices on the toppings, but was limited to onion and bell peppers meh. No pickled veggies or other cooked goodies like sautéed mushrooms or other choices. Everything seemed to be an up charge to a very basic bowl. They do pile their white sauce on or if you prefer hot sauce. Customer Service was fine, young staff members were friendly and attentive but the food was not for me.

Yelp
The Halal Guys served up traditional Middle Eastern fare. We opted for the chicken and spicy chicken combo. The portions were generous, brimming with vegetables, giving it a healthy appeal. While my daughter couldn't finish her meal, I managed to polish mine off. The only downside was the interior being excessively warm, which made me slightly uncomfortable. Apparently, their air conditioning system was out of order.

Yelp
I will always have love in my heart for halal guys. It just reminds me of New York. This was my first time at this location and it's in such a nice area. The inside is beautiful and there's plenty of seating. Customer service is nice always. Unfortunately, I completely devoured my food before getting a picture ‍. Everything blends together so well and I looooove their white sauce. The red is so spicy but soooo good!

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for a while. It's next door to Jinya and that's one of my favorite places!! I was by myself today and decided to give it a chance. $14 for a regular size platter seems a bit much but ok. I ordered the falafel platter. There was a 4 minute wait for them to finish cooking, which I didn't mind at all. I'll wait for fresh food any day! Over the bowl had great flavor. I loved the falafels!! The white sauce was definitely tasty. I mimicked the previous customer and got a good bit of it. (Pretty sure it's not vegan so there's that if you care) But speaking of pricing being a bit much - I paid an extra dollar for each of the following toppings, jalapeños, olives and hummus. Extra for hummus, ok but I can't justify paying the same amount for 8 pieces of olives or 6 jalapeños. They're very basic toppings and I felt robbed being charged for them. Yes, she told me there was an extra charge prior to me ordering and I feel jipped. SMH Either way, I'd come back because the food is good. I'd just opt not to pay for all the extras next time.

Yelp
This place has a race problem and if they don't fix the problem, it'll be seeing a lawsuit. The workers discriminate against those who isn't Hispanic, I wouldn't spend my money to support racism. Food looks good, just the attitude made me disappointed. W

Yelp
I have been here a few times. I mostly visit the ramen spot next door but decided on a chicken platter one day and went back a few more times the following week. I havent had the original but ,this is good to me. Not too salty, would prefer more rice in the platters, but all of my orders have been delicious. The white/red hotsauce are a must if you prefer spicy. My niece just moved next door on this property, so much to take in and it's still not completed more to come. Lots of food choices in this new residental/ restaurant/entertainment area. Halal guys is one of my favs so far.

Yelp
Did have my meal from this location (work catering), so I am basing my review on that. Had to beef and falafel combo platter. Pretty amazing stuff. The falafel was cooked well, but still soft on the inside. Beef was tender. The hot sauce, made with habanero and ghost pepper, will make your tongue sweat. But it does away a few minutes after finishing your meal. Can't wait until the office gets it again.

Yelp
Today is "The Halal Guys" Grand Opening. They're location in the new Buford Exchange plaza. Along with several new restaurants and retail stores. I been eyeballing the store for sometime now, and I'm so glad to see them here. This area needed to more taste bud flairs. And I can say Halal Guys did not disappointed my BUDS. Today I ordered the combo platter and a passion fruit lemonade. Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection. The Halal Guys crew had a perfect assembly line to get all the excited taste buds their orders. The restaurant was clean with the Halal Guys true yellow and red decor. Once again this is a must needed flavor in this area. I highly recommend to go give the guys a try.

Yelp
The two girls working on Monday night were so rude! Food is very good, however slightly off putting due to the lack of decent customer service.
google avatar

Ruthy M.

Yelp
This isn't true halal food. The food is very salty. Ever since the original halal guys cart became a chain it lost its quality. I rate this place a 0 out of 10

Yelp
I am so glad that I took a wrong turn and ended up here! I've been wanting a good gyro for months, but had basically given up on my pursuit. I was in the area and got a bit lost. Thankfully, I turned into this plaza and decided to try this spot out. I'm a sucker for a friendly greeting, so they had me at hello. The menu is simple so ordering was a breeze even though it was my first time. I ordered the beef gyro and crossed my fingers that it would taste like what I missed. It did not disappoint! It was delicious and I am so glad to know where I can go when the craving hits me again! The portion size was hearty. I ate half and shared with my husband. The fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. I also grabbed a small baklava which was great.

Mek H.

Yelp
Good food and nice staff! Got the chicken platter with Jalapeños. Would recommend for a quick and budget friendly meal. Cost of this platter was about 11.99+ tax and jalapeños
google avatar

Yelp
JUST....NO!! Lunch for 4 was $72.00! The gyro meat was dry & crumbly and soaked in oil. The chicken tasted like it was out of a can and had no flavor, and the rice was tasteless. We asked for a basic tzatziki sauce(not extra..just the basic that normally comes on a gyro)on our gyro's and they CHARGED us for it! The ice machine says 'replace filter' (see pic I posted)and our cups had black specs in the bottom when we poured out our drinks. All around, it was a terrible experience.

Lisa H.

Yelp
First time and was so good love the white sauce you must get the white sauce poor the whole bottle on my plate next time I'm going ima get extra white sauce! And it'll be white sauce with side of food lol and the red sauce trust it's burning hot still so good. Staff were so chill and nice. Parking is small though.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, as the food tastes fresh as can be. My first experience did disappoint as I don't think there's much flavor to the food. It's literally protein on top of rice with lettuce and tomatoes. Where does the flavor come from? It has to be the meat. There is some flavor there, but not enough to save the dish. I got the combo platter, and a regular sized one at that and there was far too much food for just one person. $13.49 is what I paid. I won't give this place a low star rating as I do think for those that like this type of food it could be a good fresh spot. It's just not for me.

Yelp
Great food and service. Welcome to the neighborhood. Try the chicken swarma and beef gyro combo.
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
It was really good, the staff was really friendly . It reminded me of the type of food you would get at a festival to be honest, from one of those food trucks. Maybe not on the healthiest side but definitely fun and simple and good tasting .

Nina S.

Yelp
I visited the Buford location for the first time and didn't not receive the best customer service. I walked in the location and the staff was just looking at me while they processed to stay in the back area.

Bill I.

Yelp
Very stingy with meat portions. Most of the platter was just salad and rice. Pretty disappointing for the price. Would not recommended this location.
google avatar

Kimesha G.

Yelp
The food was delicious. It is a bit expensive though! However, it was worth every penny. I had the chicken platter.

Nicolette W.

Yelp
Ordered three sandwiches, only received 1. Called the restaurant and immediately figured out why. The employee that answered was very unprofessional and never put a manager on the phone. I was left on hold and hung up on. I was trying to make sure it wasn't a problem with the delivery driver or maybe an error in the order. I ordered correctly, the staff made the mistake.

Ashley K.

Yelp
I got a beef gyro sandwich and the 2 piece falafel. They were very yummy. I would eat here again.
google avatar

Lori Y.

Yelp
Revolting. There are so many good options just a few miles away. Even for those looking for halal food, there have to be better places to eat than here.
google avatar

Vicki N.

Yelp
This was my first time ever trying The Halal Guys, and I was really impressed. The meat had great seasoning, and that white sauce is sooooo good. I definitely did not get enough sauce bc I felt so bad to ask them to keep going on the sauce haha. I went about a week or two after their grand opening, and it looks like they still need some organization because the line took quite a bit of time, but I'm sure they will work that out eventually. Can't wait to come back. And don't forget, get more than extra white sauce!
google avatar

Marc F.

Yelp
Walked in it smells good and I'm hungry. Kitchen is open and service is quick. Placed order and got food within 10 minutes. Sat down at bar seating facing parking lot. Food is ready and right on time. Wow it's delicious. I could not have been happier. Will definitely go back. I recommend this place to everyone.
google avatar

Genu C.

Yelp
they ran out of meat 1 hour before closing. Kind of unfortunate this place didn't live up to the reputation.
google avatar

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Excellent food! Great customer service. Convenient location. Looks like a cute little place to eat but we ordered and took home.
google avatar

Paula B.

Yelp
The food was good, I'm not sure if I like the white sauce as much as everyone else but the chicken and rice were so good. More important the service was great. The manager takes a lot of pride in this place.
google avatar

Kenya A.

Yelp
The Halal Guys at the Exchange is my favorite lunch spot. Sha and Sam always make me feel welcome and greet evert customer as they enter. They are fast, and professional.
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. Ordered online for pickup. When I got there, the food wasn't made, so I had to wait for them to put my order together. I should've checked the bag before I left, because I didn't get any sauces or the baklava I ordered. The plates were pretty basic without any sauce, and the gyro meat was dry. Even the gyro sandwich didn't have sauce. I'm not sure I'd come back- the price was too high for the quality of the food we were given.
google avatar

DjEyez R.

Yelp
Uhm. Not to sure what to rate this place yet..The food is so salty.. This Halal location is far from being like the NY street karts..The white sauce is over loaded Mayo that's about it. Please use the real Tzatziki sauce..

Ashley A.

Yelp
workers are so rude, from the start they started whispering in spanish thinking i dont understand or hear them, they talked about me and my boyfriend while we were eating in spanish.
google avatar

Dina C.

Yelp
Nice staff, but the food is not good. The thought of a mayo garlic "sauce" (blech) instead of tzaziki is just gross. Dry chicken chunks and barely any toppings. Anything normal like feta or olives is an extra cost. I definitely prefer Cava

S S.

Yelp
AGAIN! Stop doing unsanitary stuff. Don't wipe food out of my platter with your gloved hands to redo it. Sheesh!!!!
google avatar

Lindsey M.

Yelp
Have been waiting for them to open and went today on their opening. SO GOOOOOOD!!!! Very nice staff as well.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
We just ate at Halal. Husband really liked the flavors. He has a chicken and beef platter, and I had a falafel wrap. Forgot to take a picture though. I wanted to try the baba Ganush, but they didn't have any.
google avatar

Dennis Y.

Yelp
Staff is undertrained and unprepared. Walked in on a Saturday at 3pm and they had no proteins prepared. Waited there 20 mins before they notified me that it will take another 20 minutes to grill some chicken.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Placed an online order. Gyro meat was very dry and had little sauce. After checking the order and realizing the pita chips that we ordered and paid for were not in the bag, went back into the store and the guy said we are out of pita chips, offered a cookie or desert. Not sure why they wouldn't let the customer know and apologize or credit first.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Just average. Duluth location better. Cleaner and they give you more food. Food was alright here.
google avatar

Claire H.

Yelp
Good service and good quality! As a big fan of The Halal Guys, I'm ecstatic that there's one nearby my house. There are many more seatings, and a great place to even stop by for a quick meal.

Nijiah C.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Halal Guys. Kam and Sunny are a very nice couple! I felt very welcomed, the food was fresh and they're open later than most places in the area which is a plus! I will definitely be returning especially for the white sauce.

Jason A.

Yelp
Overpriced for what it is. Food was decent but not worth what they are charging. There are better options out there, that are cheaper. Had the Chicken Shawarma pita, with 4 pieces of falafel and a soft drink. Total was almost 24.00. Nope, never again!!
google avatar

Karina L.

Yelp
New location it's amazing managers gave us free drinks and it just opened a month ago!!! We love @thehalalguys

Sandra M.

Yelp
I had the Chicken Shawarma sandwich and my husband had the gyro sandwich. Both sandwiches were flavorless and the meat was dry. The sauce was mayonnaise based and not like tzatziki at all. They have a very limited menu and the food was not good at all. If I can say one good thing it would be the staff was very nice

Kristopher M.

Yelp
Chelsea & Diane did their thang! Great restaurant and service. I come back often. And good and fair pricing

stephanie b.

Yelp
How can one screw up a gyro? Recently had a beef gyro here and I almost threw it in the trash. First, pita bread was the hardest bread I've had in a while. The beef was tasteless and just plain ugly. Let's now talk about price for such terrible food! Almost $10 for that gyro and to top it off, if you want hummus on it , $1.75 extra! Small fountain Drinks are almost $4 each..seriously! Plus, the kids working there has bad customer service skills. Never again!

Erick M.

Yelp
If you looking for fresh, halal and filling food, this is the spot! Their regular size platter with chicken and beef is the bomb. I enjoyed it with the white sauce. I recommend it to anyone around its delicious. The plate is filled with veggies, rice and your choice of meat and it's fresh. 5/5 stars !

Shiv N.

Yelp
Absolutely BLAH! As someone who has lived in New York and eaten from MANY halal carts (including the famous halal guys cart), I have to say - this is one of the worst versions of chicken and rice I've had. The sauce has no garlic or flavor to it. It was terrible. The rice was meh. AND, it is so much more expensive than a chicken shawarma platter should cost. In the end, it's a lot of money for pretty lackluster food. BIG FAIL!
