Our first experience here was great! It’s a nice quick bite. I really enjoyed the French fries, they were hot & fresh. Super good! The bowls we got were great. I had the BBQ chicken. I would maybe choose a different protein next time as the chicken kinda had a funky taste (not in a bad way, just didn’t really like it). Cielo’s customer service is amazing!! She’s super friendly and quick to get our food out to us. She definitely made a big impression on our experience!

Five Guys is a classic, and this halal location doesn't disappoint. Food is fully cooked to perfection, with a wide array of toppings to customize your meal exactly how you want it. The guys working at front keyla and roel was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. the quality and portion sizes make it worth the extra cost.

The Halal Guys is hands down one of the best comfort food spots in the world! The flavors, the portions, and that legendary white sauce—everything just hits the spot every time. While nothing can truly replicate the OG New York experience, this location comes impressively close, and I’m beyond thankful that we have it here in the Houston area. The quality and consistency never disappoint, and every visit is just as satisfying as the last. Whether it’s the classic platter or the gyro, you can’t go wrong. And don’t forget about the hot sauce—the kick it adds is next level! Just the right amount of heat to take each bite to perfection. Two thumbs up! My boyfriend and I come to this location a lot, but I felt the need to leave a review because every person working tonight was just so incredibly friendly. They worked smoothly and efficiently, but were also so kind and full of smiles. They made us feel super welcome, which is not something I often feel at more quick-dine establishments. Keep up the good work!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We felt bad coming in about 15 minutes before closing and expected to feel rushed, but Amira, Keyla, and Christian were incredibly welcoming. They greeted us with genuine smiles, showed great hospitality, and even took the time to ask about our baby. Their kindness was refreshing, and the food was delicious as always. Thank you for making our late-night visit such a pleasant experience!

I went here on my lunch break and I'm grateful that I went because I had great customer service by Jasmine. She made me feel welcomed and I would love to go here again , also the beef gyro chicken platter was fire! They also have a drive thru which was new to me and also the new parking lot compared to the old is such an improvement. I am glad to say it was worth the traffic jam. Thank you guys for the service you provide!

Gotta love Halal Guys. I had a BOGO coupon so decided to use it! The moment I arrived, I was greeted by an employee, whose name I didn't grab but wish I did because she made the experience just great. I opted for two regular beef platters, which included delish gyro meat, served with rice, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and and pita bread. I asked for their infamous white sauce and spicy hot sauce on the side, which added an extra kick of flavor. I can gladly report that this time when I ordered fries, it came filled to the top (versus my experience in 2022, lol). They were crispy, hot and seasoned nicely. Parking is much better than in previous times. The portion sizes were generous too. The service at Halal Guys was exceptional, with the staff being friendly and attentive. Definitelly will come back.

This is always a quick fast stop for something easy and fast and not fried the chicken balls or falafel balls come with rice and lettuce and tomato and onions with the creamy sauce. It's very feeling and amongst most chains that serve bowls they give you the most bang for your buck. They also have a very tasty chocolate baklava cheesecake give it a try. One of their new things is now barbecue chicken that you can add to your bowl. It's worth a stop if you're in a rush and hungry for something other than super fast junk food

Haven't been to this location in a while; they now fixed the parking lot and it looks like they share it with Laynes. The ladies inside are friendly and portions were as expected. Everything was tasty and a good to-go lunch for a lazy Sunday. One of the better fast casual options in the GOOF area.

This was a quick in and out visit.... which would've been quicker if the drive-thru was available for orders - grrr! I am familiar with Halal Guys. I have never visited this location. It was close to the highway and probably the healthiest option in the area so I decided to stop by. Like most customers I thought the drive-thru was for Halal Guys customers (because of the brand color artwork). Luckily there's an exit area so I wasn't subjected to ordering from the other business. Then having to exit onto the one way street. The parking lot is small - side street parking is available. Once inside I was greeted by the staff who offered me a sample of the NEW seasonal spiced seasonal chicken which was DELICIOUS! There's no way in seven hells this was chicken breast, it was definitely boneless skinless chicken thighs. Then again, that's just my opinion I opted for the small bowl, topped with chicken, rice, lettuce, pita bread, white sauce, spicy hummus, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. I'm not too crazy about that rice. It's a little hard for my liking. But everything else was delightful. Not sure why there's an up charge for spicy hummus and black olives, if anything, they should charge extra to add the pita bread slices. Come to think of it, if you charge .50 to sample hummus on the pita bread you could rake in a few coins by the end of the week. I should really start keeping black olives inside a small cooler inside my car to avoid such charges. My cheapness aside I still left a tip, because the staff was nice and gave great recommendations. And I enjoyed my food piping hot! The small bowl was filling and worth the $16. If I find myself in the area again, I will be sure to stop by for another visit.

Went to The Halal Guys on a whim because I always pass it and I was amazed by the super friendly service from the 3 helpers. I ended up getting chicken and gro, the food was delicious. Lots of flavor with the white sauce and hot sauce. Don't forget to add a line of BBQ sauce. I would have took a picture but I ate it all to quick. Will return again and highly recommend.

For the last few years, this has been one of my favorite spots and when I've not been able to go there, Uber eats has always been a great way to get food but the last few times I've ordered from them. I'm constantly having items missing so I can no longer, suggest this location, so disappointed

My first time trying halal food and I'm very impressed. I got the platter with chicken and beef, the toppings were fresh and everything tasted delicious. Sky and Myra were amazing!

Some of the best food I've had in a while. Their beef bowl was great. The meat was perfectly tender, and they actually give you enough meat, unlike some other places. The tzatziki sauce was so good too, it looked homemade. The spicy hummus was also great, but pretty spicy. It was perfect with their soft, homemade pita bread. The place is kind of small and probably better for carry out, though there are a few tables. They also have a fridge with some of their food in it that is specifically to take home and eat.

We ordered regularly from this location with tremendous success. The food no matter the item has great flavors, and when asked for the heat you get heat, not burning your mouth. I strongly recommend the combo platter. A good mix of fresh veg rice and protein to fill you up without the food coma to follow.

Jasmine and Vanessa were great. I ordered a combo platter of chicken/beef and it also comes with rice, lettuce and tomato. I also got hummus that came with pita. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

Great food and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! I get the regular plate with two meats and all veggies, this usually last about two meals. The manager is always very nice and polite. She is probably the only one that really talks to you besides taking your order. Friendly people are inviting and that's a big reason I keep going back.

I am a fan of Halal Guys and have visited their original Houston location on Farnham Street many times.This newer restaurant conveniently located near the 610 North Loop has parking on 2 sides of the restaurant along with a parking lot in back. Inside it has seating for maybe a dozen people and is of course counter service. The menu is simple and getting served fast. I ordered a regular size combo trying their newest meat option which is roast beef. It was delicious and one that I will order again. I love the combination of white sauce and bbq sauce on my platter. Halal Guys serves fresh food at low prices and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Five stars enjoyed the experience. Jasmine was very helpful. very clean, hooked it up well with portions everything was fully stocked. We stay at this location.

Idk what I was expecting but Halal guys was disappointing. The falafel was really bland & tasted like it was old. But the platter was decent, I expected more spice though??!

The food was pretty unexciting and "special" tea was watery and warmish. The staff, however, were very helpful and polite. The restaurant itself was uncomfortably warm. We are not planning on returning.

I needed to order some Halal food for one of my customers. I've never ordered Halal so I didn't really know where to start. I was using a catering app and found The Halal Guys. I ordered 8 combo orders for delivery along with 8 orders of baklava. Both were very good. The orders came individually packed which is exactly what I needed. I will definitely order from them again. Since I used a catering app and had the food delivered, I can't speak to the friendliness of the employees or the cleanliness of the restaurant. I also can't speak about the parking. Other YES members do a great job describing those specifics. Bottom line - Food tasted great and the Halal preparation was exactly what I needed. Excellent job.

I haven't been here in a while. I thought I would try this location rather than the midtown location. The menu now has vegan options. The service was great I changed my Order to the vegan gyro when I realized it was an opt still quick and with a smile. The vegan gyro was tasty my friend ordered the falafel plate which was also hood. The portions were generous and sent uson our away with ample white sauce,hot sauce , napkins and utensils. there is ample parking and COVID protocols are in place. A good choice in an area ripe with choices

Why did it take me so looooong to visit the Halal Guys? The food is incredible! I've seen this location in the corner of my eye for awhile now as I ventured to the gym in the area. I finally decided to check it out and have something different (but healthy) this weekend before I meal prepped. I was not disappointed! I almost ordered online but I decided to order carryout just to see the ingredients and freshness of the assembly line as well how the employees followed Covid 19 protocols. Be assured that they are wearing mask the correct way as they make your food! I saw another Yelper's post about the THG app offering a free side and drink with sign up, so I really had to go by and check it out! The parking situation is not that bad. I would just park in the lot versus the sides of the building. There are two doors to the building. The one to the lot is for exiting. Go around and enter from the front that faces Ella. Pickup counter is near the door. Carryout and dine in customers--enjoy the efficiency of the assembly line. Very simple menu but that's what makes it easy for the crew members to put together some gyro delishness in a pinch. I think cashing out took longer than actually putting together my gyro, which if you get a few customers inside, social distancing becomes a problem because it is a small store front. The distance between ordering and paying is very small. I stood near the window to distance myself from the person in front of me and the ones ordering. After redeeming my freebie from the app (which is scanned) and paying by credit card, you will be asked if you want to tip. Please do! Be confident that your gyro was built to perfection-especially since they are generous with the white sauce! Best gyro that I've had in a long time. Only exception was the falafel that they warmed up for me in a microwave. I would have rather just warmed them up at home. To be on the safe side, I didn't heat them up when I got home to avoid getting too hard. It tasted fine, but next time I will ask them not to. Solid fresh and healthy option in the area compared to the fried chicken and burgers. Try it and be delighted!

I love the Halal Guys but unfortunately all their locations aren't convenient from me: work or home. Until this location opened up! How stoked was I? Pretty stoked! I waited a little bit after their grand opening before I would visit to give them some time to get their staff trained right, to get people to calm down a bit so there wouldn't be a long line, etc, etc. You know? So when I drove by and I saw that there was barely any cars parked out front (granted that it was only around 11:15 or 11:30) so it wasn't exactly lunch time yet, I thought it was time for me to swing by. I ordered a regular-sized combo platter to go and I have to echo what David N. said in his review: the serving size seemed to be much less than what I'm used to but the flavor was exactly what I expected from The Halal Guys. However, I ordered my platter to go and guess what I didn't find when I was getting ready to chow down? PITA BREADS!!! BRUH! I even added an order of Hummus and I got no pita breads? Like, come on now!

Trying, trying, trying to like halal guys but I'm just not impressed. Sure, it's a fairly healthy, quick takeout option but nothing worth getting excited for. For a regular plate you can expect to pay $9.50 (!) for essentially a plate of shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, chopped bell pepper, rice, and a small amount of falafel or meat. These are pretty much the cheapest ingredients you can find. Cherry on top is that they charge you extra for olives, hummus, or other additional toppings. Even after you try to add as many free selections as possible, the plate is still flavorless. Came during opening day and the service was quick but that might have been due to the special event. I'm glad that the plate was free, otherwise definitely not worth the money.

I honestly want to eat this every day. The beef gyro is so legit. The lettuce is crisp. Tomatoes are fresh. And the hot sauce is HOT!!

Very good. I've heard of this place for a long time and finally got to try it. It was definitely worth it and loved up to the hype. Gor the mixed gyro platter with some falafel in it. It was all very delicious. It's quick, it's good. I'll be back. Highly recommend! Extra credit awarded for the spicy hummus - it's really good!

Guy didn't seem too confident in his ability to cook lamb but OMFG ... it's AMAZING Tastes very authentic.. hits the spot. Not sure what else to say I would definitely recommend this place!!

Let me start by saying THIS IS A GREAT BUSINESS. I glanced at a review about this place mentioning that the staff was friendly so I decided to check it out. I had also been craving Halal Guys for months and haven't made it over here so if nothing else, I'd have good food. THEY GREETED MY DATE AND MYSELF AS WE ENTERED with such warm greetings they were all so friendly and it went a long way. The staff here is extremely polite and so helpful and patient. The Food: DELICIOUS. In case you haven't had Halal Guys, great food with a variety of flavors and textures in a bowl or wrap. I always get the combo platter (chicken/beef) with the white sauce of course. And just as the cherry on top, I don't know if all the locations are always baking cookies but this one is and you can smell it at the end of the line at the cashier (very smart!) Between the food, the company, and the service, I was feeling so good that on my way out I took one more bowl to-go (pictured) To the staff of this location, thank you for making it such a pleasant dining experience while you continue to serve a quality product. Combo platter ($8.69 small) - chicken and beef gyro. The meat was OK, the gyro was a bit more flavorful than the chicken. The white sauce is where it's at, but it's very high in calories (330 cals/packet). OK portion size but half was lettuce / tomatoes. Eggplant hummus was kind of plain (+$1.50, which he didn't tell me). Hit the spot after the gym, but I think I still prefer Gyro Hut. Nice option if you're in the area though. Plenty of parking in front, side, and back

The recipe seems to have changed and the meat have been over cooked the last 2 visits I was here. It's better at the other location

When I entered the restaurant I didn't see any employees. Immediately after approaching the counter a couple of employees came from the back. My food was prepared and I was asked if I wanted fries and the fries were never given to me nor were they billed to me. It wasn't very busy so I didn't understand why my food was rushed and they squirted white sauce on my plate in a very rushed and messy way. I was disappointed

I visited this location today around noon. When I entered the restaurant it smelled like something was burning. Very disappointed in the smell. When I was ready to make my order there was an older woman who just looked at me. I had to wait until another employee came and asked me what I would like to eat. Once they begin making my food I noticed that they just hurried and rushed the process. I wanted to eat in the restaurant but they made my order Togo. While walking out I noticed that the tables looked greasy. Yuck. I hate this place.

I have been to every halal guys in the Houston area and hands down this is the cleanest, friendlier store I have been in . Customer service was 100% on point and the food was fresh and delicious. Will be back

I'm so happy to finally eat here! Perfect timing for a late night dinner which was light & filling! They close at Midnight here & it definitely lives up to the Hype! Fresh & delicious. Restaurant is very clean and all staff members were immediately welcoming & nice with face covers. Hand Sanitizer is also available to use! Thank you for being open late and serving delicious food! Can't wait to visit again. P.S. I also loved how the owner or manager communicated with his team members and giving them great kuddos. Pleasant Experience

We ordered the hummus to begin with along with falafel patties. For our meal we ordered the gyro plate and the chicken shawarma plate. It seemed to have been a salad/rice bowl type of deal. They gave you packets of the garlic tahini sauce and their spicy red sauce. Their hummus was OK but their falafel patties were tiny little patties. They gave you two for a crazy price. Did not really enjoy their over all plate. Very disappointed with their pita. They gave us those thin/ cardboard tasting pita slices. Such a let down. Was not my favorite and am usually a fan of halal guys but wasn't extremely happy with this location's quality of food..

This is a great Halal Guys! This is good fast food. My friend and I came to have a late night meal when her mom was in the hospital across the freeway. Rayan (good looking BTW) was very friendly and professional. He let us sample some of the newer items since it was a while since I visited Halal Guys. He let my friend sample more items since it was her first time. Our portions were generous and very delicious like usual. We got 3 large meals which had a yummy colorful rice, grilled chicken, grilled beef, pita bread, lettuce, tomato and their delish white sauce. Also I got a packet of their very hot red sauce. The only item I didn't like was the babaganoush because it was too watery. They don't have ice tea either which I told the original Halal Guys they need to carry sweet and unsweet tea. Texans need their Tea! The original Houston Halal Guys have tea now for their customers. I also told Rayan their location needs to carry tea also. Normally I would knock a star off for no tea but Rayan was such a sweetheart and so professional and really cared that we were happy I'm giving them 5 stars. They close at midnight now. Free parking in their parking lot. Great experience overall :)!

Another great Halal Guys! And it is in a much better location than the one I used to frequent off Shepherd. For this visit, I ordered a small combo platter. The chicken and gyro meat were very fresh and good portions. They also put a perfect amount of white sauce--often it is just smothered with way too much! I went during Covid and they had plastic barriers along the ordering area and for the cashier. They also had a drive through setup, but it was very slow moving so I went inside and ordered take out. I'll definitely be back to this location and hopefully will be able to dine in at some point.
