Used to love halal guys being from new york with their signature hot sauce. In the last year, the quality has dropped significantly. Being near philly, we were excited about having a location nearby but boy were we greatly disappointed. The hot sauce is no longer the same. The spice and kick is gone. Their signature is gone. Hard to understand why they would take away their signature. Halal guys is now like every other gyro/halal place out there

I never really go to halal guys as because every time I go there it feels like the portion size gets smaller and the price goes higher. This time I ordered a rice platter with beef and a soda. Pretty expensive as expected. The beef was dry and didn't taste good at all. I tried their spicy lamb few months ago which was pretty good but they don't carry it anymore. Overall I won't be back unlees I can't find any other halal options nearby.

This is a great place to get a healthy meal. The guys that work there are the best. They give you a great atmosphere and good conversation.

Very miserable individual for asking if they have lamb .The guy picked up a very nasty attitude and tried to best to pick up an argument with me !! Dude enjoy your miserable life , you won’t ever see me again walking to that restaurant!

I ordered From The Halal Guys while staying in Philly for a concert. When my food arrived it was cold and visibly old. It looked like it had been sitting out for hours. You could tell the meat had been exposed to air. I was very disappointed and still hungry. I'll never order from there again.

The service and food were fantastic. We enjoyed our interaction with the staff. They were very helpful in making suggestions on making our meal taste delicious.

I came to the shopping center on City Ave because I was starving and looking for a quick bite to eat. After surveying the options, I decided to choose Halal Guys. Miss Trinity fixed up my falafel wrap and it hit the spot. The sauces were flavorful, toppings fresh, and you'd best believe the wrap was overflowing with ingredients. I was very satisfied-- only sorry i forgot to take a photo since I was in a hurry and had to eat it while driving!!

Stopped by to pick up dinner from this spot. The service is absolutely wonderful The food was delicious. The young lady Tiffany the counter was very friendly and professional. The manager always greets everyone coming into this restaurant. I would recommend this spot to all my first responder friends.

Yelp
The food was ok, but not the best. It was a little bit greasy. Service was good. Place is clean. Most of the people come for takeout

Yelp
We gave this spot a try last week while in Philly. The customer service we received while in the shop was top notch. They were patient and took the time to let us as questions and order and we didn't feel rushed. I got the chicken plate which came with a generous serving of chicken, seasoned rice, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, some pita bread and their white sauce (toppings are by your choice). Let me tell you... that white sauce was soo good. I feel like that's what brought everything together and there wasn't a bite I took that didn't atleast have a little sauce. Very yummy!

Yelp
Quick and easy fast food spot, glad they had healthy options , falafel was pretty good, wasn't dry or mushy.

Yelp
To be honest I've never been a big fan of The Halal Guys... food always seemed stale and not great. It wasn't until this store that I turned the corner. After eyeing their slowly built storefront, I finally went on opening day. Staff were super friendly and helpful with putting together my order. Inside had space to sit in and was rather cozy given the area it's filling. I took it to go, but food survived the 15 minute trip back. Food was stellar and seasoned - at least for a Halal Guys! Chicken and beef gyro were wonderfully done, and was just what I needed for the night. Probably can't beat local shops, but you know what you're getting yourself into here. Hope they keep this quality up and continue serving great food!

Yelp
Worst experience in a long time at any place. From the preparation of the order, to quality control, to food quality, to professionalism of the manager and worst of all dishonesty. Worse than my worst expectations. Placed order for later pickup. Had to wait an extra 15 minutes after arrival for pick up. Walk ins were served before me. The manager helped his team member to expedite and made a sarcastic comment about his teammate's slow pace. No sauce was put on the sandwiches and when I asked the manager said he did it so fast I did not see it. Guess what? no sauce in the sandwiches. Was excited about the place and ordered almost every item. All disappointing: beef tasteless and greasy, chicken like dry roast chicken, falafel hard and tasteless. The white sauce on the side is like a tasteless ranch/bad mayo, the hot sauce is grainy and not great. The fries are stale and hard. The bread is thick like a pancake. I grew up eating and cooking Mediterranean food and honestly threw this food away. Horrible in every way.

Yelp
I'm sitting here writing this as I eat my second dinner here in two days! Delicious! Fresh food all around. Soooo tasty. Nice employees and a manager (owner?) who is always grateful to see you and thanks you for coming in. Great atmosphere too. I'd take a picture of my food but I already ate it. Yum.

Yelp
Tried this place today and the chicken with rice platter was horrible. Hardly any sauce, which gives the meal most of its flavor. I'll stick with the cart when I want this meal because, the food tastes much better and, is half the price.

Mrs C.

Yelp
Sometimes the chicken is good, other times, it's crumbly and dried out. Prices are ridiculous for what you get. A small platter is $13.49, after tax. You get a few small pita slices, a ton of iceberg lettuce, tomato, rice and a small amount of chicken. It's grossly over priced, especially since they just raised the prices.

Yelp
First time getting this since it just opened. & it just wasn't good. I've been to another location before & it was tasty. But this was Pretty basic, no flavor, dry, little meat came with it (like crumbles that have been left out). I paid for white sauce even though it said it comes with it, so I don't get why they charged me for it. Was cold when I opened it. Probably would not go back.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Ordered the beef/falafel platter and chicken pita sandwich. It was light and plentiful. Service was friendly and good.
