I ordered at regular which is a large plate. It comes with rice, tomatoes and lettuce. It’s half salad and half rice. The young guy recommended the combination platter. I got to pick 2 meats. He said that the most popular one would be the chicken and the beef. I went with that. There’s also a list (small) of topping. And of course the sauces. I got all the works. Man O’ Man! (1) my meal was around $17-$18 since I got a beverage. (2) restaurant is very clean. (3) there’s also music not loud just okay for the ears. Food quality: the rice was soft and fully well cooked. Chicken has a juicy flavor and the gyro is salty but not too salty. Once you mix the sauce. I did white and the red it was a great combination. The pita was soft as well but wasn’t a fan of it since I’m not into bread that much. Overall, I recommend this place. And needless to say I will be stoping by more often.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews here but I quite enjoyed my experience at Halal Guys. I got the falafel wrap with free fries thanks to the app. It was fresh, filling, delicious, and nicely wrapped. Get the white sauce, that pairs really well. Red/hot sauce if you can handle some heat but dab a little first to get a sense as it's pretty hot. There isn't a ton of seating inside/outside but when we came there wasn't a crowd as I imagine most people take it to go. I'd recommend this spot for some great Greek food!

A quick stop with a few friends to grab a bite that was long due. Last time that i had food from their location was in LA and a good year or so ago. It was definitely all worth it reliving the moment with the same dish that i had ordered then. The Chicken platter with their magic secret sauce is pure bliss. Juicy chicken, olives , lettuce and tomatoes and some jalapeños along with the bread make it a phenomenal dish and you end up craving for more. The location as well is in a perfect setting though they could do a bit more with the outside seating which i am sure would get better as places open and start receiving more traffic as things get better with the pandemic. An absolute recommendation and worth every bit!!!

The portion was smaller compared to our usual sunnyvale spot. No one was there and they took a long time to help us and serve us the food. It was grand open weekend and NO ONE mentioned the TV drawing, tshirts, or other goodies. After we ate, we asked about the shirt and he said... ya, there they are... we looked but they had no XL size. So all 5 of us did not get a shirt.

Portions for falafel and beef gyro were sparse…the worse thing was that I bit into a piece of black metal and split it. Like probably a charred staple or something in a gyro slice. Hope my tooth isn’t chipped… This could have been super dangerous for a child or a dog if swallowed. Fries were yummy, but probably not healthy 😆

We come from NY NJ so we know about Halal guys but it seems their reputation has not followed them to Nor CA. Regardless, the food was decent and the service was good. Their falafels are fresh and yummy and the rice very flavorful. Give them a try!

i use to love this location customer service was always great. and generous portions m. but today went paid 40 bucks for two larges and it was lack luster. portions were so small i had to give my husband my share to make sure he had enough while i ate something else. everything was cold and dry. i watched the worker scoop the meat not fully and then shake some out. wont be coming back. food use to fill the brim now it only fills half way. for the price id be happier at a lesser place like taco bell.

Staff was really nice, the spicy chicken was good. The red sauce is not a joke. Not much seating inside but around here outside theres seating.

Great food for a great price point! I remember the YEE back when this location opened and it was a great reminder of that again! As always, love their chicken and beef bowl with polices! Tastes healthy, is balanced with tons of veggies without breaking the bank. The white sauce is so good but it can be pretty calorie heavy.

I ordered for pick up. I got the spicy beef gyro sandwich. It was pretty quick, easy, and staff were friendly. The gyro definitely had a good kick to it and i definitely liked it. I would come back to try the bowls next time.

No complaints here. Unlike some of the other reviews stated, my portion size was just fine. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Cashier was super chill.

I always go to Halal guys as it is a quick and simple meal, can never really go wrong here. The food was warm and still fresh, so I was a fan when it was cold outside. Service was quick and simple however they didn't really listen when I said no sauce. They offered to remake but I said it was ok no need. It's just the little things that go a long way. But overall, enjoyed my meal and we ate outside on the table and chairs and that was really nice.

Good fast food type of restaurant. They make everything to order like the burrito place. Friendly enough service. I really like the hot sauce with the gyro. The rotisserie meat is pretty good and overall a great deal for a cheap eat.

Halal Guys is actually one of my top favorite casual dining spots! I had it for the first time 7 years ago down in Costa Mesa, my Yelp Elite friends took me and I was hooked! I'm bummed there's no location near me in Walnut Creek. The closest one is in SF which is a bit far. I was visiting friends over the weekend and I suggested Halal Guys for dinner. I always get the beef gyros plate. Since I don't live close to a Halal Guys, I always get two orders so I can take one home to eat the next day. The food was highly satisfying and definitely hit the spot! Love me some of that white sauce! MMMMMmmm! Open a location in Walnut Creek please! Thank you!

Once upon a time, I embarked on a pilgrimage to LA for the legendary Halal Guys. The tales of their divine white sauce had reached far and wide. So, there I was, standing in a line that seemed longer than iPhone launches of glory days, waiting over an hour just to get a taste of that mythical sauce. It was a journey of epic proportions, like Frodo to Mordor but with more hunger and less hobbits. And then, Halal Guys were everywhere in the beautiful bay area. The lines got shorter and shorter, to the point that there are more staff members than customers in the stores. Like all good things, the hype train seems to have chugged its last. The once-majestic food that had us drooling now feels like a shadow of its former self. The meat, which used to be the juiciest of lore, now resembles something akin to a desert - dry and in desperate need of an oasis. The once bustling lines have dwindled, and the vibrant buzz around their carts and stores feels like a distant memory. Don't get me wrong, the white sauce still holds its charm (albeit it's more mayo-meets-ranch than an exotic secret recipe). But dear Halal Guys, it's time for a little menu magic, a revamp, a culinary facelift! Without it, I fear you might become just another tale in the history books of fast food folklore. So here's to hoping for a return to glory days, where each bite was a flavor adventure and not just a reminder of what once was."

What happened to Halal Guys? Food quality is mediocre at best. Got a small platter with chicken. Chicken was underseasoned and house sauce tasted like watered down mayo. I remember when Halal Guys opened their first location in SJ. Food was delicious. The food at this location tastes nothing like the Halal Guys I've had. I'm not a fan. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant felt like a hole in the wall even though it is in a nice plaza with Whole Foods and tons of other food options.

I love halal guys and halal food. But it's so sad to see how far the quality at Halal Guys has deteriorated. Smaller portions, cold rice, and pre-flattened pita... I can't wait to get back to NYC where its cheaper and fresher!

A very delicious meal after a beer flight at Bare Bottle. Service was quick and the food was on point. I had a lamb bowl and was pleasantly shocked at how filling it was. I ended up splitting the meal over two days.

The Halal Guys has been my go to recovery meal from a long night/weekend out. Something about it just makes me feel full yet still light on the portion and toppings instead of indulging on heavy, greasy, fast food. Great for lunch breaks too since it is fast but not falling under the category of "fast food" I usually order the Beef Gyro Platter which comes with beef gyro, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and pita bread. It doesn't come with much pita bread though only for a few bites. You could also get 1/2 chicken 1/2 beef which I got my first time but I really like their beef so I just get the beef gyro platter. Their falafel is really good as well, crispy on the outside but keeping it soft on the inside without it being dry. Their white sauce is so good and it pairs nicely with everything. If you want to kill your stomach lining they have the perfect hot sauce for it. The hot sauce and the white sauce balances it out so well. I love spicy but this is another level, it's great.

Newer Halal Guys location so it's very clean and nice. Everything is made fresh and to order. Come back from time and time to break the monotony. Customer service was great the last time I was in there and I want to shout out Rob for being professional and friendly. Got the Falafel Platter and an order of fries. The fries are my favorite, not sure what it is. Simply spiced and crispy. The Falafels are consistent and it's my go to. Over all always a good experience and the customer service this time around was great. Thanks again Rob! Also, I do believe they have a promotion for writing a review for them on yelp! If I remember correctly you receive a free drink on your next visit. They have a sign inside with the info, so please do drop a comment and correct me if I'm wrong! (Warning:) I'm real big on spicy foods and hot sauces but maaan go easy on their hot sauce. It BURNS SOMETHING FIERCE. I love a few dabs of their hot sauce for flavor and a little kick... or if you're feeling daring go ahead and empty a whole packet on your plate and find out. I dare you.

Food: the food was great as usual. Very flavorful, and the portion did not disappoint! And all orders of falafels are made fresh upon order so they were nice and hot Service: friendly, timely, and professional Ambiance: a few tables indoors and one set up outside on the patio with a large umbrella. Wouldn't be able to support a large party, but that shouldn't be a problem since the food is quite portable

I had The Halal Guys for the first time and I am instantly a fan. Less options than Nick The Greek, but the food quality was much better. I wish I got the name of the lady who helped us at lunch time, as her customer skills were great and much appreciated. I got the beef gyro plate and it was so good. I loved the free options of green bell peppers, onions and jalapeños. The white sauce is so good and addicting. Definitely looking to go back soon.

Stopped by this place around after lunch time (before 2pm) while on a walk to order some lunch since we hadn't eaten yet. This place is a new location here and we had wanted to try it out for awhile. There were 2 people working and we had really good service from the guy who helped us. I got the falafel regular platter while my bf got the large spicy chicken. They add lettuce and tomatoes and seasoned rice and ur choice of protein for the base then u can add jalapeño, onions, bell pepper, and olives. The hummus is additional $1.50 or something. They gave us plenty of white sauce packets and some hot sauce. It tasted better than i thought it would! Very fresh and the white sauce and hot sauce complement everything on the platter. Would def recommend!

Been going to Halal Guys in So Cal for years, a hugely busy spot. The local here was not so busy and no fresh beef gyro rotating was very odd. One guy ran the entire place. He was efficient and we received our food quickly. The flavors were still great . The white sauce is wonderful and great rice as well . We will return Parking is difficult

Halal guys food is always amazing but this particular location is a hit or miss. My first visit, the food portions were extremely small and the meal was really cold, they were also out of jalapeños. My second visit I ordered online on their website for pickup. I even got an email confirmation but they said they never received my order so it had to be made once I got there. My most recent visit was the best one, portions were great, service was fast, food was warm. Also I discovered my new favorite order the spicy chicken platter! You can sign up for rewards. Try to avoid the website and app they don't work too well. You can't upload the receipt to the app to collect rewards, it only happens after an online order. Also, you can fill out a feedback form to get free fries on your next visit if u order online.

The beef and rice is where it's at. I ordered the Combo Platter ($14.99 small, $15.99 regular) which gives you a choice of two of the following: beef gyro, chicken, and falafel. I chose the beef and chicken, but in hindsight, going all in on the Beef Gyro Platter would've been a more satisfying choice. The chicken was just okay while the beef was better. The yellow rice was pretty decent. Beef and rice. The only pairing you need here. Also included with your plate are lettuce, tomato and pita bread, plus a small handful of other toppings. I was bummed that green onions were on the menu but not available. But they did give me a good amount of Kalamata olives. And the jalapenos were crazy hot - no need to add hot sauce. I asked for sauce on the side and was provided with packets of The Halal Guys branded "white sauce" and "hot sauce". The white sauce resembled mayonnaise (and its first three listed ingredients are basically mayo). You won't get tahini or tzatsiki sauce here. The overall quality was middle of the road. The pita bread was ordinary and not heated up. The meats are kept in a warmer and served up in a Chipotle assembly line style rather than being prepared to order. If that's your thing, then by all means. But for the price, I expected a little more something. I won't be defecting from my usual Middle Eastern spots anytime soon.

Came in during my lunch time and was pleased to know that this place wasn't as packed. Made my experience a lot easier and faster. There were 3 dudes just maning their stations as I walked in and it was nice to know they were chill to order from and could keep a casual conversation on the lamb since it was also their favorite. I had a birthday coupon as well and they were patient with me as I figure out how to use it since I've never done it before. Shout out to the dudes who helped me out. Obviously was there for the lamb and I couldn't have been anymore satisfied with it, arite it wasn't your legit off the bone lamb expereince but the taste was slightly there that it was enough. Replaced the tomatoes for green peppers and honestly it was a good swap. My down fall was when I decided to be bold too and put some red sauce on my plate. I put maybe like a drizzle mixed with the white sauce and man, that red sauce took over. Luckily their packets are small so you don't mess up like I do. I have been working in the area for awhile but only until now had I discovered this location of THG. The taste and decor is quite standard as compared with other locations, what I like about this location is the staff seemed to be a bit more accommodating and generous with their portions. With that said I don't need to go to Sunnyvale to get my comb bowl and this hidden location will be my new THG go spot.

I decided to give this place another try. It hasn't improved since my last review. In fact, it may have gotten even worse. I ordered a regular beef platter. The serving size is still super small. And the food was cold. Not warm. Cold. Rice, in particular, needs to be kept at a certain temperature to remain safe. This was definitely below the safe temp. I don't know if corporate is aware of the issues with this franchise. Maybe they just don't care. But do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

We ordered delivery via doordash and the order was ready and delivered within 30 mins. Food: In $35 we got: - 1 small beef platter - 4/5 well cooked meat and good rice. It had good sides of salad and pita and 2 falafel (extra $2.5) portion size is good for 1 person's meal - 1 falafel wrap - 3/5 i was hoping for some more falafel rather than just 3 pcs and a added hummus (extra $1) which was a lightly brushed hummus (assuming 1 teaspoon) on the pita itself. The pita was too thick to "wrap" it so i had to eat it as an open sandwich :( no fun! The taste was good after adding the sauces: - they give u 1 pack white sauce (big) and 1 packet red hot sauce (really spicy) with each platter/ wrap u order - white sauce - nice and creamy - red sauce - super spicy so add a little, taste it, then add more if u like Deducting 1 star for over-priced falafel wrap and 1 for quantity not worth the price. The platter had a good presentation and meat and falafel tasted good and also loved their sauces!

Food - (4/5) It does not feel too fatty so your brain view it as something healthy since the platter also comes with salad and diced tomatoes. The sauce is what makes the bowl so make sure to squeeze it in your bowl. VIBES -- (4/5) The window view looks out to the street and company building. The regular platter currently sits at $13.99, which if you notice is different from what previous reviews have mentioned. In fact, it's currently at a better price point than it was at during the past few months. One good takeaway is knowing that they won't raise prices up forever... - The temperature of the food. I'm not sure what's going on, but there are times when I receive the platters with the meat fairly cold. I thought the cubbies are meant to keep the food warm--guess not.

Food tastes good and is addictive! However, I cannot come to terms with the asking price of $15.99 + tax for a chicken platter that is heavy to fillers like lettuce and light on chicken and rice. This makes me appreciate Chipotle.. we get so many items for $10. And, I forgot to mention, if you want extra white sauce on the side, it is $1.79+tax Food quality = 3/5 Value for $$ = 0 Please control the price; $18 will go much further at places like Chipotle! This store is next to WholeFoods, and I feel WholeFoods is a better value for money! The food tastes good, but unfortunately, the price keeps me away.

We came in for takeout during Covid. There was no one else in the store and the one employee was super nice and was wearing her mask correctly. We ordered our food and was in and out within 5 minutes. We ordered fries and she fried them up fresh, so it took a little bit longer. Food tasted great, service was great!

Google isn't always accurate with the restaurant hours so I told my friend let's rush in case 10pm isn't the right time. We got in 7-9 minutes before closing and still got a quality meal after the gym and we weren't rushed and they didn't have an attitude because we came in minutes before closing- Google said 10pm we came minutes to 9:30pm. Halal guys is just soo good. The chicken is delicious and moist, rice always cooked well, and let's discuss that white creamy sauce- fire! I love to find healthy options after a good workout and it's hard to find stuff after 9pm sometimes in Sj with things closing earlier. I plugged in Google and it pulled up this location- I had no idea there was one in this plaza and thankful I found it. They have a new veggie option too with beyond meat or impossible meat, I forget which one. They also have a new eggplant hummus too. So veggie and vegan peeps, go check out a his probably limited eats for y'all. My bowl was delicious and filling and I was so hungry I finished the large bowl about 96%. If you're really hungry get this one. After a killer workout this supplied me with all the gains and filled me up.

Of the many Halal Guys I've frequented in many cities, this one is the best in terms of the quality and freshness of the food, courtesy of the staff, and cleanliness of the restaurant.

Came here & was told by the cashier there was no beef though I saw beef behind the cashier. When my boyfriend mentioned that the cashier said they had already cleaned the grill. This was 30 minutes prior to the closing time listed. I would strongly suggest not to go to the Santa Clara location if you are able to. The staff at the other location was not professional and forgot to put pita bread for another customer when I came in. The customer had to remind the cashier she had missed a step.

Ate here for the first time - first off I want to make it clear that the staff was friendly and excellent, Grade A team working behind the counter. Clean establishment, saw them take care of the kitchen. For those first visiting, at the end of preparing your meal you are offered 3 sauces: BBQ sauce, the famous white sauce, and a red sauce which I have nicknamed Atomic Diarrhea. When they ask you "How many lines do you want" after selecting the latter option, they mean how many lengths of Bowel Napalm sauce should they squirt onto your meal, which they apparently meter by the line. Any more than 2-4, or if you use the entire little cup they give to you for having it on the side, and you're in for a very very rough day later. Just trust me on this one. I love spicy food ("If I'm not crying, I'm not happy") but this red sauce has a bit of a delayed fuse to it, so you can eat a ton and think you're fine for a bit. Trust me, you ain't fine. The beer gyro itself I tried was actually decent, if not slightly salty for the meat and a little messy/complicated to eat compared to other gyros (see picture). Jalapeños are pickled and not raw, which is a huge plus to me personally. I also tried the bowl, which is where you get enough food to resume eating later - chicken was decent, nothing to write home about but it's not a 5 star restaurant so it's good for what it is. Don't skimp on the white sauce, it earns its reputation. The red sauce, on the other hand, is capable of spicing your life up from the inside out. Do not eat that if you're nursing, have IBS, or have anything important to do the next day. Less is more. Here be literal dragons. I have warned you.

Halal guys used to be my go-to doordash order because it was still delicious reheated, but since the Santa Clara location opened up and that's where my order comes from, it's gone downhill. My pita bread is always stale and my meat does not taste fresh. Big bummer since i can't change where i doordash from.

We love Halal guys. Such a good deal and the food is always delicious. It's a chain if you haven't had it before. Their cookies are also fire. We like getting the big combo platter. Highly recommend. And they're always so fast!

Halal guys is great comfort food. The regular bowl is a good quantity for one person and will keep you full. The two sauces are a must to add to your bowl and keep it flavorful.

The best place to hit up for lunch. This place always gets it right. I usually order a small chicken and beef combo platter with pita bread, onions and olives, white sauce on top. Food is fresh and served warm. I love their yellow rice that is included in the combo as well. Fast, filling, excellent service.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is TRASH! I paid 25 for a combo plate with extra protein and I got robbed! Please DO NOT eat at this location. Review other comments about this place before you order and you'll see!!! That place is horrible!

Great spot to pick up lunch after getting groceries at Whole Foods! We placed our order online and the food was ready at our designated pickup time. Good portions, yummy food. The -1 star reasons: - We only got 1 packet of white sauce and 1 packet of hot sauce, despite what was stated on their site: one regular platter, which should come with 2 white/1 hot, and one wrap which should come with 1 white/1 hot. - You have to order via their app to accumulate loyalty reward points, even if you're logged into your account online when you place your order =/
