Google
I really enjoyed my beef gyro with everything on it was so yummy even though I forgot the white sauce and hot sauce packets and the hibiscus lemonade drink refreshing. Thank you Maickol and Raibert for your great service. The atmosphere was nice and I love that this place was clean. It tells a lot about the workers. The price ok I would veery much recommend eating here.

Google
I visited for first time Tried Falafel rice. The best falafel i ever had. The rice flavour was good. I felt the quality was very less for me. The white sauce and the hot chilli sauce was yummy. Overall the food is very tasty

Google
First timer here and the food was delicious! Shoutout to Gio for explaining the entire menu and letting me try a few things. He definitely went above and beyond. Excellent customer service! And the new spicy BBQ chicken was fire! Ill absolutely be coming back!

Google
The food here is excellent! We always make sure to stop when we can! If you want great chicken over rice, this is the place to be, so glad they're open late! Silvia and Michael were so friendly and helpful!

Google
Jerry was who put together my food order; very nice & friendly. Portions are not small even though i ordered a small bowl. Food taste was ok, meh. Greasy. and this location offers military discount. Seating is meh, felt cheap eating here, next time i rather take to go

Google
Visited this place recently and really enjoyed the food – everything was flavorful and freshly prepared, and you can tell they put care into what they serve. The hospitality was excellent; the team was welcoming, attentive, and made sure guests were comfortable throughout the visit, which created a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The only small area for improvement would be the quantity of meat in the dishes, which could be slightly increased to match the otherwise great quality, but overall it was a very positive experience and worth recommending to others.

Google
Really unclean ..not stocked not wiped everything looked gross and dirty .. staff was not presented properly and hair not tied up or anything.. then after they served us one day and ate his food .. and it was just not consistent with prior dining experiences in the past at various locations.. but now I might never return.honestly should never had ate there that night.. really turned off 😞 and was a favorite of mine. But it might just be a bad location.. IDK

Google
Everyone here is so friendly and polite! Giovanni helped us at the counter, and his kindness made our visit even better. After a hectic trip to Costco—where I was nearly run over twice by carts—this place was a breath of fresh air. The food was absolutely delicious! I got the gyro platter, and it was the perfect way to end my day. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I am a frequent customer at Halal Guys in Southlake. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Service is quick and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
I had a very good experience at Halal Guys. I was in the mood for some chicken and rice and Halal Guys definitely hit the spot. The portions are large, the service was fast and everything had the spicy flavor I was looking for. If you're in the mood for some great beef or chicken & rice, make sure to put The Halal Guys on your list.

Yelp
The Halal Guys are located in Southlake, TX serving quality Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and halal food in a quick, tasty, and fun environment that is great for the whole family! I came by during the week for lunch and was promptly greeted by the staff with a warm welcome. As I browsed the menu screens I went ahead and chose the regular beef gyro platter over the chicken, falafel, and combo. The ordering process was quite easy as to where you order from the serving line and watch the staff make the magic happen beneath your eyes! She generously portioned my rice inside the platter as well as a hefty scoop of gyro beef. I went ahead and added lettuce, tomatoes, and olives. They also have other condiment choices to pick from as well such as green bell peppers, chopped onions, and jalapeños to name a few. I was also given pita bread and asked if I would like white sauce along with red sauce. As she pulled the white sauce bottle out, she perfectly laced up my dish while telling me to let her know when I'm satisfied. As for the red sauce which is spicy, she asked how many lines I would like, and I went ahead and told her four. I went ahead and dined in where there was plenty of tables and chairs for me to sit at. Inside was very nice and clean with a modern twist to it. They had art pictures up of the first Halal Guys cart in NYC along with a soft drink machine. As I sat down and admired the beauty of the dish my stomach slowly started to growl, and I instantly knew that it was GO TIME! The dish was piping hot with steam releasing above the rice and gyro beef. Everything was seasoned to perfection and tasted amazing pairing the hot rice and beef to the cold crisp shredded lettuce and sweet tomatoes. The olives gave a nice tangy twist to it while the creamy white sauce mingled the dish together while getting the spice from the red sauce. The pita bread was and outstanding side that complimented the dish very well and I found myself using it as a spoon to scoop up all the tastiness from the dish. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here to get a fast and healthy meal. The customer service was on point while the food tasted phenomenal! I can't wait to come back next time and maybe try the combo sandwich and baklava cheesecake.

Yelp
Leaving this review mainly so the owners know that their workers aren't helping customers. There was no other people in the store (7PM on a Saturday) which should've been a hint. We sat at the front of the line for 10 minutes and even asked if that's where we order and were told yes but no one would take our order. One person was moving cooking equipment and the other was rolling pita in tinfoil. We eventually just decided to leave... There was also no food being cooked, nothing on the spit, etc. -- we feel bad the owners are paying them!

Yelp
I ordered a regular platter with bbq chicken, beef gyro, honey sriracha falafel, hot honey hummus. They gave me two orders of chicken small portion, regular falafel, regular hummus (watery), Zero white sauce, zero hot sauce, zero silverware. Do not order from this restaurant until they hire people who know how to read. PS, watery hummus is absolutely disgusting, find a better way to pinch pennies than watering things down.

Yelp
Amazing food, excellent service, clean restaurant and bathrooms. Closest example of traditional middle eastern shawarma in the DFW area.

Yelp
Halal Guys is *exceptionally* good Halal food for counter-service fast food spot. It originated as a food cart in NYC run by two brothers serving cab drivers. And it tastes like it. Every bite is savory and rich and reminds me of the smells and tastes of one of my favorite places on earth. I've only ordered the Gyro Platter and it out-performs all other Mediterranean places in its range. I've had Halal Guys in New York City, San Francisco, and Texas. Taste and quality are identical across the chain. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Food is served chipotle style. The service was prompt! We were eyeing the cheesecake and decided to get just one and the last said "I wouldn't share this" and she was RIGHT ! Will be back! The place is very clean with its own parking area in front.

A K.

Yelp
I placed an order online for falafel, and a bowl. I absolutely adore halal bowls and falafel so I thought this would be a slam dunk. Never again. A very expensive takeout order yielded sand paper dry falafel, dry rice (maybe day old) in my bowl, and meat that's was extraordinarily overcooked. I'm still in shock how bad this really is. Go to Everything Halal in Irving, it's top notch!

Darius H.

Yelp
The wings taste like Chuck E. Cheese's wings all breading no chicken. I thought since this was the halal guys the wings would be delicious I was wrong. Only ate 2 and now I gotta find something else to eat

Viaxxl

Yelp
Nice lady up front I need to hit the characters limit so I'm just gonna yap halal guys is a nice place with nice people

Tarek T.

Yelp
Outstanding service and great food. Both guys at the counter were super helpful. The hot sauce is HOT!!!

Yelp
Excellent food locked away by incompetence. I swear every time I go here they leave something out, or ask the same question over and over. Last time they didn't give me or my wife any pita. I wasn't aware I had to ask for it? They gave it to me other times without prompting. Something about their order of operations must be confusing to the meal preppers. You think they'd just go left to right and it's all laid out for them but I just don't know. It's been like this since day one. You might ask why I still come here despite the torturous ordering process? The food is completely addictive. I get a gyro plate with everything on it and tons of hot sauce. It's so delicious. I do wish I could order whole gyro and not the chopped stuff. But the chopped meat is sorta their thing. I can only speak from a limited perspective but I worked at Starbucks long ago and they have a very precise order of operations behind the counter. Step 1 before Step 2. Every drink has a fine-tuned process of creation. The idea being that the customer should be able to order the same drink from any location and expect to receive the exact same thing every time. This ideology should be implemented at Halal Guys.

Faiz M.

Yelp
Great service from Luis! Wish there was a kids menu. Maybe a little larger cuts of gyro would be nice and a little more meat per regular bowl. Love the food. Thanks!

Cathy M.

Yelp
I would not have given this any stars. First time eating here. I dont understand how the ratings were so high. The "meat" was supposed to be Halal. I'm not sure what it was. It did not even taste like meat. This was a to go order that we ended up being thrown away.

Raven C.

Yelp
The chicken and French fries are delicious. There are a large variety of foundation drinks to choose from. Great place.

Yelp
Best food and service I have had in a long time. Super clean place and very comfortable to sit in and enjoy a meal. Food is fresh and crisp. Love the flavors and variety of the food. Will definitely make this my to go restaurant! Oh yeah, don't forget the dessert!!! Yum!!!

Yelp
We had a delicious lunch here! My plate and my son's gyro sandwich that were made by Claudia were delicious. The best part was the service by Claudia and Evelyn. We'll be back for sure!

Abrie M.

Yelp
LOVE the Halal Guys! We just took a trip to NYC and tried food from the original stand and absolutely had to have it again when we came back. We were so happy to see a location in southlake and everything tasted EXACTLY the same. The best part was the service, Claudia and the other gentleman there were so kind and funny, cracking jokes with us while they served us and asking about our trip. It actually did feel like being served by a family member at their home. The restaurant was very clean, food was delicious, prices were reasonable.

Eric E.

Yelp
Amazing Food with Amazing Service! A+++ Please stop on by! You won't regret it! Very clean and enough space for large parties

Katrina K.

Yelp
This place is a joke , bread has been sitting in the warmer and it was slightly hard. Big mess and they can't even wrap your gyro correctly. I'm glad I didn't get the fries , they don't even make them fresh to order. Service was alright , main area tables were not even clean. No thanks , I'll pass !!!

Shannon C.

Yelp
Have had Halal guys several times without incident when it comes to ordering, quality of the food and timeliness. Ordered a to go meal inside and confirmed my proteins with three different people in the assembly line and they still managed to leave one off. For $16 for a plate I'd expect better, will still be back because this place has great food.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Great food. Kind employees who go above and beyond. Clean location. So glad it's across the street from my warehouse.

Yelp
They have a great Groupon going on. I got the combo platter which came with beef, jalapeños, rice, white sauce, pita bread etc. with a side of fries. I did carry out and it took a couple of minutes to pick up my order. The combo platter was decent and the fries were as well. The customer service is friendly and there are plenty of Places to sit for dining in purposes. My food was packaged nicely and the combo platter was enough for two meals, three depending on how hungry you are. The combo platter was fresh and crunchy, the food just needed more flavor. However with the white sauce, there is enough flavor. I'll definitely be back and try their falafels.

Yelp
Honestly, this Halal Guys is my go-to location whenever I'm craving some gyro (which is most of the time). It's a smaller location but the interior is well maintained and decorated. One of the best things about the Southlake Halal Guys location is the customer service. The two associates who are usually there during the weekday late afternoon/evening shift are courteous and respectful. They give generous portions of food and always keep me coming back for more. Before you go to Halal Guys, make sure to download the mobile app because you can earn points with each of your orders and there are occasional mobile offers such as a free side or drink. Whenever I come to Halal Guys, I always order a beef gyro and chicken combo platter. The platter consists of flavorful golden rice, tomatoes, lettuce, pita bread, and the protein you choose. There are also additional toppings such as jalapeños, green pepper, onion, and olives that you can add on with no extra charge. Lastly, when you finalize your platter, make sure to get a good amount of their famous white sauce. It's hard to describe the flavor of the white sauce, so you have to try it to believe how tasty it is. I get a small line of their red hot sauce as well. The red sauce starts mouth fires so if it's your first time trying out Halal Guys, go light on the red sauce. Overall, the Southlake Halal Guys is one of my favorite locations to visit (take a look at my check-ins lol) because they give generous portions and the customer service here is AMAZING!

Yelp
Claudia and Evelyn are always a pleasure to deal with. Love the food and service offered here.

Yelp
Ohhh soo good and completely transported back to NYC standing in front of one of the original street carts. The smells, colors and even the blur of assembly took me back. 5/5 Beef gyro plate. Lots of white sauce. Not taziki mind you. I was corrected in line. Lol. A splash of red sauce (spicy) and very odd to most but traditional in NYC. The turmeric rice and fresh crunchy lettuce base was delight-full. 5/5 beef gyro. Huge. Added extra white sauce. Wife Loved it. 5/5 made to order crinkle fries. Super crunchy. Better than shake shack across street.... yep! 5/5 baklava- 2 triangles making a full square of flaky thin layers complemented by yummy pistachio filling. Topped w honey water. Yumm Service was excellent. Welcome Halal guys to our neighborhood! Love!

Alok S.

Yelp
We are fond of Halal Guys food however this time Chicken and Pita was dry, looks like food quality has dropped drastically or it was left over foodstuffs
google avatar

Torri H.

Yelp
Presentation was good and it looked the part. It fell short in the taste department however. You expect for food like this to be bold and packed full of flavor but this just wasn't it, it's definitely the commercialized version of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food.
google avatar

Yelp
We were really excited about checking out the THG especially since so many people raved about this place. We went to the closest location to us and we were definitely underwhelmed. Good: The gyro meat was flavorful and delicious The hummus was excellent They give a generous amount of food Bad: The chicken lacked flavor The rice was not good. The falafel was dry and lacked flavor The service was so-so and the cashier couldn't pronounce gyro. We've been to many great Mediterranean places in the past and this was definitely down on the list. We will not be coming back.

Yelp
This location just opened and we were excepted to try it, our day opened up and we were able to check the Halal guys out today. We went around 11:30am and that was a great time to go, we were able to order right away and ask some questions without holding up a line. While eating a decent line formed and although it moved fast it was a continual line while we were there, if you don't want to deal with a line come a little before noon and you will not have much of a wait if any. They sell gyro wraps and meat plates with your choice of chicken, gyro, or Falafel. The employee recommended getting a plate. I got a small gyro plate and my husband got the large. We also ordered a side of falafels to tase them. After you decide if your getting a gyro or a plate you go down the row and pick your toppings, these include salad, tomatoes, rice, jalapeño, white onion, green pepper, olives, and I think 1-2 others but I don't recall what they were. They have a white sauce that you can get on the top or on the side (yellow package in my pics). The white sauce is somewhat like a taziki sauce, it's creamy with some seasoning in it, maybe mayo in it? I liked it and my husband was close to licking it off the tray . We liked it abd plan to go back.
google avatar

Jasmine V.

Yelp
Man....You guys really need to do better. Your chicken is HELLA dry! =/ Looks like it's been sitting out for some time! What a disappointment!
google avatar

Jack Q.

Yelp
They spend more on the packaging than the food quality. The meat is mushy and the tahini sauce little more than watered down sour cream.
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
2nd time here...fantastic food, clean facility, friendly staff...I wish more places were like this...keep up the great work Guys!
google avatar

Alyce D.

Yelp
Had it for the first time today and it was AMAZING! Will be going back soon. Had the beef platter with the white sauce. The red sauce is spicy so use with caution but I LOVED IT!

Anna J.

Yelp
Food is incredible, service is even better! Jerome is so nice and accommodating. It's hard to get good service these days with the state of things but he makes me want to order from them every week!
google avatar

Cody C.

Yelp
Decided to give them a try tonight using Uber Eats. Ordered the Beef Gyro platter, upgraded the size of the platter along with double beef. The platter was 50% iceberg lettuce, 40% rice and 10% protein. Not enough protein for 1 serving let alone the double meat I paid for. There isn't anything worse than feeling like you got ripped off. $20 for a platter with 4oz of meat (supposedly double meat) You lost my business. Congrats
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
The two associates were busy when I came in, even though there was only one other customer in the building. It sounded like they were having a hard time filling their online orders... They got to me in about 5 minutes, and I ordered a beef gyro sandwich. The beef was so dry and hard it tasted like I was eating bacon bits. I'm concerned about how long it was cooking, probably all day, if not being re-heated from the day before. I should've gotten the hint of them being dead at dinner time that this wasn't the place to be. I don't plan on coming back
google avatar

Nabila N.

Yelp
Excellent food and was delivered warm and so fresh! Great place for the family to dine in or get delivered! Restaurant is clean, great customer service and decent ambience! Took my toddler in who created a mess and they were very kind and even brought her a pita bread she dropped! Add it to your weekly takeout or dine in spot!

Tim S.

Yelp
Place is always pleasant to visit. Food is really good and quick. Claudia and the team are very friendly.

R S.

Yelp
This food was delicious. Highly recommend !!! Ordered beef gyro platter with fafel. Extra white sauce and red sauce. Delicious

Moustafa D.

Yelp
Jerome and Claudia are the best!! They were extremely nice and helpful. The foods always good aswell.

Yelp
Love love love! If I could eat them everyday I would! The customer service sucks! They don't greet! They move slow! They have conversations with other employees while a customer is trying to order them ask again what I wanted. It was annoying. Good food...terrible PD skills and customer service.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
We love halal guys so I'm surprised by the mixed reviews. The food is fast, fresh and tasty. My husband orders double meat for those that say there isn't enough in the combo platter. I do agree it would be nice to have both lamb and beef but the beef is good. The portions are generous and their hummus is awesome, plus there's a good variety of toppings (peppers, jalapeños, olives). One of our go to fast casual pickup or dine in options in Southlake.

Yelp
Rude. Both staff were aggressive and rude. After I called them out on it. The cashier laughed. I decided to leave without my food and she chased me out. I thought she was going to apologize but she became more aggressive. After I told her why I was leaving. And said the reason why was that she and her boss were rude. She stated: "it doesn't matter!" Then She threaten to call the police. Wth?? Never in my life has anything like this happened.
google avatar

Roy C.

Yelp
Gyro was just beef no lamb. Beef is cooked on two vertical spits to get a five star add lamb/beef to one of the spits. Seasoning on the beef gyro was okay have had better.
google avatar

Trent T.

Yelp
A solid two stars. I had not been here before so I thought I would try it out. I called to place an order for pick up and the lady refused to take a phone order and asked me to order online. Seriously? What kind of customer service is that? I just went ahead and went into the restaurant to order in person. The beef gyro was just OK. There is no tzatziki sauce available. Instead they have a "white sauce". Who doesn't have tzatziki sauce on a gyro??? And they don't shave off the beef fresh from the gyro, it is a bunch of small pieces in a tub on the counter that they pull from. They only offer beef, and chicken, no lamb. I didn't are for the pita bread. It was more of a soft bread that an actual fresh made pita. It tasted prepackaged. I got a baklava. It did not taste fresh and the dough was not light and flaky. I read the ingredients on the box and it includes two different food colorings, artificial flavors, palm oil and coconut. What??? I was really hoping this would be a new place to frequent but I won't be back. There are way too many other places that serve better gyros and way to many other restaurants in this area that just have better food.
google avatar

Titus V.

Yelp
Good service, clean restaurant and good food. If you like the chicken n rice from NY... this is the closest you'll get here in The DFW area. Beware the spicy red hot sauce is very . If you can't handle the heat I recommend sticking to the white sauce. Highly recommend this location.

Yelp
I try not to be a hater, but I honestly don't see what the hype is all about. -1 Yelp star for not having lamb (they have beef, chicken and falafel). A gyro is not a gyro unless it is made with lamb, in my Yelp opinion. -1 star for not making a gyro correctly. I don't know if it was guy's first day, but the pita should be wrapped like a cone (in the tin foil), where you can eat down from the top, all while having the stuff not fall out the end. I should have taken a picture of it, but it basically all feel apart the moment I picked it up. -.5 for dry, small slices of beef. Instead of slicing the meat per order, it is stored in bins at the counter. -.5 for charging extra for sauces. A gyro should be meat, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and tzazki sauce. All told, my sandwich, fries and drink cost $15 - not exactly a cheap meal for what it is.
